Kinetics of the photocyclization of trans-8-styrylquinoline into 10a,10b-dihydronaphtho[1,2-h]quinoline (4-azachrysene) was studied in hexane. It was found that in addition to the expected two-step (two-quantum) route with trans-cis photoisomerization occurring in the first step with a quantum yield of φtc = 0.13 with consequent photocyclization of the cis-isomer with a quantum yield of 0.23. The direct singlequantum photocyclization of the trans-isomer with a quantum yield of 0.009 is also observed. The latter observation indicates that the excited trans-isomer isomerizes without loss of excitation to the excited cis-isomer, which then undergoes cyclization, i.e., the trans-cis photoisomerization proceeds partially by adiabatic mechanism t* → c*.  相似文献

Spectral and photochemical properties of 1-(9-phehanthryl)-2-(2-quinolyl)ethylene (9Ph2QE) in neutral and protonated forms have been investigated. It has been found that both isomers of 9Ph2QE are photoactive. The quantum yield of transcis photoisomerization (? tc = 0.47) in the neutral form is typical of the diabatic photoisomerization; on passing to the protonated form, ? tc increases up to 0.70. Thus, the double annelation of the 2-styrylquinoline phenyl group to form 9Ph2QE makes it possible to conserve the α-effect, which consists in an increase in the quantum yield to ? tc > 0.5 on passing from the neutral to protonated form, whereas the effect disappears for other types of annelation (naphthylquinolylethylenes, 1-(9-anthryl)-2-(2-quinolyl)ethylene).  相似文献

Spectral and photochemical properties of 1-(9-anthryl)-2-(2-quinolyl)ethylene (9A2QE) in neutral and protonated forms have been studied experimentally and by quantum-chemical methods. It has been found that the quantum yield of trans-cis photoisomerization (φtc) has values of φtc < 0.5 typical of the diabatic photoisomerization for both forms of 9A2QE. A comparison of this data with the results of the study of other aza-diarylethylenes containing the 2-styrylquinoline (2SQ) moiety has led to the general conclusion that the increase in the π-system in 2SQ upon fusion of the benzene rings results in the disappearance of the α-effect, which lies in the fact that the quantum yield increases upon going from the neutral to protonated form up to the values φtc > 0.5, which exceeds the limiting value for the diabatic photoisomerization.  相似文献

The condensation of 4-nitrobenzaldehyde with 3-cyano-4,6,6-trimethyl-5,6-dihydropyran-2-one leads to the formation of a crotonization product and a compound of the Michael adduct type. The main product of the photochemical conversion of (E)-3-cyano-6,6-dimethyl-4-(4-nitrophenylvinyl)-5,6-dihydropyran-2-one is the Z-isomer. Investigation of the photoisomerization of 3-cyano-6,6-dimethyl-4-(4-nitrophenylvinyl)-5,6-dihydropyran-2-one by the semiempirical AM1 method showed that in the ground state the E-isomer was thermodynamically more stable than the E-isomer. E-Z-photoisomerization is effected most probably through the lowest excited singlet state S1.  相似文献

The quantum yields of the trans-cis and cis-trans photoisomerization of 2-styrylquinoline (2SQ) and its several derivatives were measured in neutral, protonated, and quaternized forms. It was shown that electron-donor substituents in the styryl moiety increase the quantum yield of trans-cis photoisometization ?tc in the neutral form as a result of stabilization of the intermediate zwitterionic perpendicular conformer. On passing from the neutral to the positively charged forms (protonated or quaternized), an increase in the quantum yields to ?tc > 0.5 was observed, thus suggesting in terms of the classical diabatic mechanism of photoisomerization via the perpendicular conformer the shift of the minimum on the potential energy surface (PES) of the S 1 state relative to the maximum of the S 0 state PES to the cis-isomer or a possible contribution of the adiabatic route to the photoisomerization of the 2SQ cations.  相似文献

2-(1-Alkoxyimino-2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)-5-trimethylsilylfurans were synthesized by the condensation of 2-(trifluoroacetyl)-5-trimethylsilylfuran with alkoxyamines. According to 1H and 19F NMR spectroscopic data, the alkoxyimino group in the E-isomers descreens the H-3 and H-4 protons of the furan ring more strongly than in the Z-isomers, shifting their signals downfield. The spatial structure of (Z)-(5R)-methyl-2-(4-phenylbenzylidene)cyclohexanone prepared by photochemical isomerization of the E-isomer was studied by analyzing the magnitudes and temperature dependence of the proton spin-spin coupling constants obtained by 1H NMR spectroscopy and the results of molecular modeling using semiempirical quantum chemical AM1 and PM3 methods and the density functional theory (DFT). Comparison of the results obtained for the Z-and E-isomers shows that in both cases the conformational equilibrium for both isomers is characterized by significant preference of the chair conformer having an equatorial methyl group, namely, − ΔH (chair a ⇌ chair e) = 1.98–2.12 and 1.36–1.54 kcal mole−1 for the Z-and E-isomers, respectively. Distinctions in the non-planarity of the enone fragment and cyclohexanone ring in the Z-and E-isomers under study following from the results of mathematical modeling were confirmed by the experimental values of the geminal spin-spin coupling constants of protons of the methylene groups in α,α ′-positions with respect to the enone group. Quantum chemical calculations of the Z-isomer revealed the existence of intramolecular hydrogen bond between the carbonyl oxygen and the nearest aromatic proton in ortho-position of the benzene ring. Possible reasons for different helical twisting power of (Z)-(5R)-methyl-2-(4-phenylbenzylidene)cyclohexanone and the E-and Z-arylidene derivatives of 1R, 4R-isomenthone in the mesophase are discussed based on the results of molecular structure studies for these compounds. In the text below the unsaturated ketones under study will be called “arylidene cyclohexanone derivatives” for convenience of comparing the characteristics of methylcyclohexanone and isomenthone derivatives. Rose bengal-sensitized photooxygenation of 4-propyl-4-octene ( 1 ) in MeOH/Me2CHOH 1:1 (v/v) and MeOH/H2O 95:5 followed by reduction gave (E)-4-propyl-5-octen-4-ol ( 4 ), its (Z)-isomer 5 , (E)-5-propyl-5-octen-4-ol ( 6 ), and its (Z)-isomer 7 . Analogously, (E)-4-propyl[1,1,1-2H3]oct-4-ene ( 2 ) gave (E)-4-propyl[1,1,1-2H3]oct-5-en-4-ol ( 14 ), its (Z)-isomer 15 , (E)-5-[3′,3′,3′-2H3]propyl-5-octen-4-ol ( 16 ), its (Z)-isomer 17 , and the corresponding [8,8,8-2H3]-isomers 18 and 19 (see Scheme 1). The proportions of 4–7 were carefully determined by GC between 10% and 85% conversion of 1 and were constant within this range. The labeled substrate 2 was photooxygenated in two high-conversion experiments, and after reduction, the ratios 16/18 and 17/19 were determined by NMR. Isotope effects in 2 were neglected and the proportions of corresponding products from 1 and 2 assumed to be similar (% 4 ≈? % 14 ; % 5 ≈? % 15 ; % 6 ≈? % ( 16 + 18 ): % 7 ≈? % ( 17 + 19 )). Combination of these proportions with the ratios 16/18 and 17/19 led to an estimate of the proportions of hydroperoxides formed from 2 . Accordingly, singlet oxygen ene additions at the disubstituted side of 2 are preferred (ca. 90%). The previously studied trisubstituted olefins 20–25 exhibited the same preference, but had both CH3 and higher alkyl substituents on the double bond. In these substrates, CH3 groups syn to the lone alkyl or CH3 group appear to be more reactive than CH2 groups at that site beyond a statistical bias.  相似文献

1,3-Diphenyl-5-(2-benzothiazolyl)formazane exists in its crystalline state (based on x-ray crystal structure data) in the E 1,2 Z 2,3 Z 3,4-conformation, which is stabilized by intramolecular hydrogen bonding (IMHB); the proton is localized on the nitrogen atom which is bound to the heterocycle. In chloroform solutions 1(5)-aryl-3-phenyl-5(1)-(2-benzothiazolyl)formazanes exist in the form of equilibrium mixtures of their chelate and open E 1,2 Z 2,3 Z 3,4-forms, in which the first of these forms predominates. Based on their 13 C-NMR spectral data the tautomeric equilibrium involving these forms is shifted in favor of the benzothiazolylhydrazone form. The 1Í NMR method in combination with molecular simulation was used to study conformations of Z- and E-isomers of (1R,4R)-cis-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)benzylidene-p-menthan-3-one. In solutions the Z-isomer, unlike the conformationally uniform Å-isomer, is an equilibrium mixture of chair conformers with the substantial predomination of one form with the axially oriented methyl and equatorial isopropyl groups (75—78%). The enone group is more nonplanar in the Z-isomer than in the Å-isomer. For the isopropyl fragment, the equiprobable existence of trans- and two gauche-rotamers for the Z-isomer and a substantial predomination of gauche-forms in the case of the E-isomer were established.  相似文献

New hydrazones of 2-(5-thioxo-4,5-dihydro-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-ylthio)acetohydrazide have been obtained and the percentages of anti/syn - conformers were determined. Based on the analyses of 1H NMR spectra, it was concluded that for hydrazones obtained from the 2- hydroxybenzaldehydes and 2’-hydroxycetophenones the ratio between the anti-and syn-conformers depends on the strength of intramolecular hydrogen bond (IMHB) between the nitrogen atom of the imino group and the proton of the 2-hydroxy group. It was shown that increase in IMHB strength results in stabilization of the anti-conformer in solution.   相似文献

To understand the nonradiative decay mechanism of fluorescent protein chromophores in solutions, a systematic comparison of a series of (Z)‐4‐(N‐arylamino)benzylidene‐2,3‐imidazolinones (ABDIs: 2P , 2PP , 2OM , and 2OMB ) and the corresponding trans‐4‐(N‐arylamino)‐4′‐cyanostilbenes (ACSs: 1P , 1PP , 1OM , and 1OMB ) was performed. We have previously shown that the parameter Φf+2 Φtc, in which Φf and Φtc are the quantum yields of fluorescence and transcis photoisomerization, respectively, is an effective probe for evaluating the contribution of twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) states in the excited decays of trans‐aminostilbenes, including the push–pull ACSs. One of the criteria for postulating the presence of a TICT state is Φf+2 Φtc?1.0, because its formation is decoupled with the C?C bond (τ) torsion pathway and its decay is generally nonradiative. Our results show that the same concept also applies to ABDIs 2 with the parameter Φf+2 ΦZE in which ΦZE is the quantum yield of ZE photoisomerization. We conclude that the τ torsion rather than the C? C bond (φ) torsion is responsible for the nonradiative decays of ABDIs 2 in aprotic solvents (hexane, THF, acetonitrile). The phenyl‐arylamino C? N bond (ω) torsion that leads to a nonradiative TICT state is important only for 2OM in THF and acetonitrile. If the solvent is protic (methanol and 10–20 % H2O in THF), a new nonradiative decay channel is present for ABDIs 2 , but not for ACSs 1 . It is attributed to internal conversion (IC) induced by solvent (donor)–solute (acceptor) hydrogen‐bonding (HB) interactions. The possible HB modes and the concept of τ torsion‐coupled proton transfer are also discussed.  相似文献

A quantum-chemical investigation has been carried out by the semiempirical AM1 method of the trans-cis photoisomerization mechanism of 4-[2-(2-chlorophenyl)vinyl]-6,6-dimethyl-2-oxo-1,2,5,6-tetra- hydropyridine-3-carbonitrile. It was shown that the isomerization process proceeds in the excited singlet state S1 by rotation of the 2-chlorophenyl substituent around the C(2)–C(3) bond. Electronic absorption spectra of the isomers were calculated by the INDO/S method Transitions caused by exitation of an electron from HOMO to LUMO were characterized by the greatest intensity.  相似文献

The (Z)- and (E)-isomers of dimethylaluminium 4,4-dimethylpent-2-en-2-olate, Me2AlOC(Me)=CH-t-Bu, have been obtained. The (Z)-isomer is dimeric; the (E)-isomer can be isolated either as a dimer or as a trimer.The enolates are O-acetylated by acetic anhydride to the corresponding enol acetates (no C-acetylation is observed). They form 1/1 complexes with trimethylamine oxide, pyridine, hexamethylphosphoramide and triphenylphosphine oxide.  相似文献

Summary.  Ab initio calculations at the HF/6-31G* level of theory for geometry optimization and the MP2/6-31G*//HF/6-31G* level for a single point total energy calculation are reported for (Z,Z)-, (E,Z)-, and (E,E)-cycloocta-1,4-dienes. The C 2-symmetric twist-boat conformation of (Z,Z)-cycloocta-1,4-diene was calculated to be by 3.6 kJ·mol−1 more stable than the C S-symmetric boat-chair form; the calculated energy barrier for ring inversion of the twist-boat conformation via the C S-symmetric boat-boat geometry is 19.1 kJ·mol−1. Interconversion between twist-boat and boat-chair conformations takes place via a half-chair (C 1) transition state which is 43.5 kJ·mol−1 above the twist-boat form. The unsymmetrical twist-boat-chair conformation of (E,Z)-cycloocta-1,4-diene was calculated to be by 18.7 kJ·mol−1 more stable than the unsymmetrical boat-chair form. The calculated energy barrier for the interconversion of twist-boat-chair and boat-chair is 69.5 kJ·mol−1, whereas the barrier for swiveling of the trans-double bond through the bridge is 172.6 kJ·mol−1. The C S symmetric crown conformation of the parallel family of (E,E)-cycloocta-1,4-diene was calculated to be by 16.5 kJ·mol−1 more stable than the C S-symmetric boat-chair form. Interconversion of crown and boat-chair takes place via a chair (C S) transition state which is 37.2 kJ·mol−1 above the crown conformation. The axial- symmetrical twist geometry of the crossed family of (E,E)-cycloocta-1,4-diene is 5.9 kJ·mol−1 less stable than the crown conformation. Corresponding author. The stereochemistry of addition of Br2 toE-andZ-(R)-N-cinnamoyl-4-phenyloxazolidin-2-ones was studied. It was established that both theE-andZ-isomers give only two out of four possible diastereoisomers in the presence of Lewis acids (BPr3 or AlBr3). The absolute configurations of the diastereoisomers [(2S', 3R') and (2R', 3S') of the side chain] were established by X-ray structural analysis. The stereochemistry observed is a consequence of the stepwise bromination and the absence of bridging bromine atoms along the reaction coordinate. In the case of theZ-isomer, the diastereoselectivity of the reaction was high, whereas it is low in the case of theE-isomer. It was suggested that at the first stage of addition of Br2 at the C=C bond, the attack of the Br+ cation occurs at the α position, and the second stage of transfer of Br occurs with the participation of boron or aluminum complexes in the intermediate state of the bromination reaction. The molecular and crystal structure of (Z)-6-((4-bromophenylamino)methylene)-2,3-dihydroxycyclohexa-2,4-dienone were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction and spectroscopic methods. Molecules of the compound can be regarded as a resonance hybrid of cis-keto tautomer and zwitterionic form. Pairs of molecules of the compound generate pseudocyclic centrosymmetric R22 (10) R_{2}^{2} (10) supramolecular synthons with the aid of O–H···O type intermolecular H-bonds. Stacking of R22 (10) R_{2}^{2} (10) synthons along b-axis is stabilized by π···π interactions. Changes in both covalent topology and molecular geometry of the compound accompanying proton transfer were monitored by a relaxed PES scan with respect to hydroxyl bond length used as redundant internal coordinate. Quantum chemical studies at 6-311 + G(d,p) level reveal that bond lengths which are indicative to tautomerization process cannot reach their expected values even if proton transfer occurs in gas phase and pseudo-aromatic chelate ring formation has primary effect on the stabilization of NH tautomer. Resonance-assisted intramolecular H-bond affects the electronic state of its neighboring aromatic fragments.  相似文献

The first synthesis of (Z)-neomanoalide ( 4 ) and an improved synthesis of its (E)-isomer 3 was accomplished in a concise, regiocontrolled manner by exploiting 2-[(tert-butyl)dimethylsiloxy]-4{[(tert-butyl)dimethylsiloxy]-methyl}furan ( 6 ) as the key reagent. Lithiation of 6 and subsequent reaction with the (2Z)- or (2E)-isomer of (6E)-3-{[(tert-butyl)dimethylsiloxy]methyl}-7-methyl-9-(2′,6′,6′-trimethylcyclohex-1′-enyl)nona-2,6-dienyl bromide ( 5 ), followed by hydrolysis, afforded the corresponding neomanoalide.  相似文献

The synthesis of 3-ethylideneazetidine-2-carboxylic acid (=polyoximic acid; 3 ) is a approached in two different ways leading to potential precursors of 3 . The first way involved a ring closure to a vinyl-subsatituted azetidin. Thus, Ireland-Claisen rearrangement of the Boc-glycinates 6 and 10 of (Z)- and (E)-2-butene-1,4-diol afforded, after exchange of the N-protecting groups, the isomeric 2-(tosylamino)-3-vinylbutanolides 13 and 14 with high stereoselectivity. Only the cis-isomer 14 could be further transformed to 3-(bromomethyl)-2-(tosylamino)-4-pentenoate 17 , and in a smoth cyclization with K2CO3, to trans-3-vinylazetidtene-2-carboxylaze 18 (Scheme 2). In the second approach, the 3-ethylidene isomer 19 of 18 was obtained more directly by a [2+2] cycloaddition, together with the two isomers 23 and 24 , from methlallene 20 and (tosyliminno)acetate 21 (Scheme 3). The main product of this reaction was, however, 2-(tosylamino)-4-hexinoate 22 , the product of an ene reaction.  相似文献
