In this paper we discuss Newtonian Mechanics on Kahler Manifold, and also givefoe complex mathematical aspects of Newton’s law, the law of kinetic energy, the lawof kinetic quantity, the equation of motion and the "general equation of dynamics",and so on.  相似文献

This work is related to the flow of an electro-conducting Newtonian fluid presenting thermoelectric properties in the presence of magnetic field. The flow is considered to be governed an incompressible viscous fluid. The electro-conducting thermofluid equation heat transfer with one relaxation time is derived. The state space formulation developed in Ezzat (Can. J. Phys. Rev. 86:1242–1450, 2008) or one-dimensional problems is introduced. The Laplace transform technique is used. The resulting formulation is applied to a thermal shock problem; that is, a problem of a layer media and a problem for the infinite space in the presence of heat sources. A numerical method is employed for the inversion of the Laplace transforms. Numerical results are given and illustrated graphically for each problem. The effects of thermoelastic properties on the thermofluid flow are studied.  相似文献

In this research, experimental studies have been performed on the hydrodynamic interaction between two spheres by using particle image velocimetry and measuring the force between the spheres. To approach the system as a resistance problem, a servo-driving system was set-up by assembling a microstepping motor, a ball screw and a linear motion guide for the particle motion. Glycerin and a dilute solution of polyacrylamide in glycerin were used as Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, respectively. The polymer solution behaves like a Boger fluid when the concentration is 1000 ppm or less. The experimental results were compared with the asymptotic solution of Stokes equation. The result shows that fluid inertia and unsteadiness play important roles in the particle–particle interaction in the Newtonian fluid. This implies that the motion of two particles in suspension is not reversible even in the Newtonian fluid. In the non-Newtonian fluid, in addition to inertial effect, normal stress differences and viscoelasticity play important roles as expected. In dilute solutions weak shear thinning and the migration of polymer molecules in the inhomogeneous flow field also appear to affect the physics of the problem.  相似文献

The Euler–Lagrange variational principle is used to obtain analytical and numerical flow relations in cylindrical tubes. The method is based on minimizing the total stress in theflow duct using the fluid constitutive relation between stress and rate of strain. Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid models, which include power law, Bingham, Herschel–Bulkley, Carreau, and Cross, are used for demonstration.  相似文献

The linear Rayleigh-Bénard electro-convective stability of the Newtonian dielectric liquid is determined theoretically subject to the temperature modulation with time. A perturbation method is used to compute the critical Rayleigh number and the wave number. The critical Rayleigh number is calculated as a function of the frequency of modulation, the temperature-dependent variable viscosity, the electric field dependent variable viscosity, the Prandtl number, and the electric Rayleigh number. The effects of all three cases of modulations are established to delay or advance the onset of the convection process. In addition, how the effect of variable viscosity controls the onset of convection is studied.  相似文献

A nonsimilar boundary layer analysis is presented for the problem of mixed convection in powerlaw type nonNewtonian fluids along a vertical plate with powerlaw wall temperature distribution. The mixed convection regime is divided into two regions, namely, the forced convection dominated regime and the free convection dominated regime. The two solutions are matched. Numerical results are presented for the details of the velocity and temperature fields. A discussion is provided for the effect of viscosity index on the surface heat transfer rate.  相似文献

The present paper deals with a weak non-linear stability problem of magneto-convection in an electrically conducting Newtonian fluid, confined between two horizontal surfaces, under a constant vertical magnetic field, and subjected to an imposed time-periodic boundary temperature (ITBT) or gravity modulation (ITGM). In the case of ITBT, the temperature gradient between the walls of the fluid layer consists of a steady part and a time-dependent oscillatory part. The temperature of both walls is modulated in this case. In the problem involving ITGM, the gravity field has two parts: a constant part and an externally imposed time periodic part, which can be realized by oscillating the fluid layer. The disturbance is expanded in terms of power series of amplitude of convection, which is assumed to be small. Using Ginzburg–Landau equation, the effect of modulations on heat transport is analyzed. Effect of various parameters on the heat transport is also discussed.  相似文献
