The purpose of this project was to synthesize fluorinated polyimide (PI) nanocomposite membranes in order to study the gas permeation rates and selectivity of carbon dioxide and methane. PIs were synthesized from 2,2‐bis(3,4‐anhydrodicarboxyphenyl)hexafluoropropane (6F dianhydride, 6FDA) and 4,4′‐diaminodiphenyl ether (oxydianiline, ODA) into which were incorporated nanoparticulate additives as follows: in situ TiO2, both plain and treated with dodecyl sulfate surfactant, and organo‐clay (Cloisite®‐10 Å) at loads of 1, 3, and 5 wt% to the polyamic acid. Polyamic acid films were solvent cast, cured at 200°C then post‐cured at 300°C and measured for permeation data and for thermal properties. Glass transition temperatures ranged from 124 to 140°C for the cured PIs and from 142 to 147°C for the post‐cured materials, the nano‐inclusions having little discernable effect on this property. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) data show that the inclusion of Cloisite® or TiO2 caused a small decrease of thermal stability from 555°C to about 532 to 541°C. The inclusion of clay causes a decreased permeation rate while the addition of TiO2 improves the rate and selectivity. Treating the nanofillers with surfactant decreases selectivity and marginally increases rate of permeation of CO2. Post‐curing caused a darkening of the composites, but not the neat PI. This heat treatment also resulted in a significantly decreased permeation rate, but a significantly increased selectivity. The resulting material shows superior gas separation properties to the commercially available PI, Matrimid® produced by Ciba‐Geigy. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

2,2‐Bis[4‐(4‐amino‐2‐trifluoromehyloxyphenyl) phenyl]propane (BAFPP) was synthesized based on 2‐chlorobenzotrifluoride and bisphenol A and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance. BAFPP was used as a chain extender to prepare a series of fluorine‐containing polyurethane elastomers (FPUEs) with different fluorine contents by changing the soft segments and isocyanate index (R). The FPUEs were investigated by water absorption, contact angle, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and microscale combustion calorimetry. The results show that the FPUEs prepared from BAFPP were elastomers that have low surface tension, low water absorption, and good thermal stability. Furthermore, FPUEs also exhibit good flame resistance, and the peak heat release rate of FPUE based on BAFPP (282.9 W/g) is much lower than that of polyurethane elastomer without the F element (537.2 W/g). Five acrylic esters having different fluorine contents and distributions in their side-groups (i.e., CH2=CHC(O)OR, where R = ? C(CH3)2C6F4H, ? C(CH3)2C6F5, ? C(CF3)2C6F5, ? C(CF3)2C6H5, and ? C(CH3)2C6H5) have been prepared from the reactions of the lithium salts of their corresponding alcohols with acryloyl chloride. These monomers are polymerized under identical conditions by the radical initiator AIBN and five polyacrylates were prepared having the structure of ? [ ? CH2CHC(O)OR? ]n? . These addition polymers were compared and fully characterized by GPC, VPO, DSC, TGA, NMR, IR, and UV-visible spectroscopies, and they showed potential for practical applications. Significant differences in their thermal stabilities were found with respect to fluorine contents and distributions in these polyacrylates, and the highest stability arises from CF3 substitutions in the side-chains of the polymers. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Here we reported a novel and efficient method for the synthesis of the critical intermediates of branched fluorinated surfactants with CF3CF2CF2C (CF3)2- group using HFPD as starting material. The optimized synthesis of a range of cyclooctadiene‐stabilized Pt complexes that contained different perfluoro‐alkane chains, [Pt(cod)Me(CnF2n+1)], is presented. These metal–organic compounds were employed in the so‐called supercritical fluid reactive deposition (SFRD) in CO2 under reductive conditions to generate metallic nanoparticles on aluminum oxide as a porous support. Thus, Al2O3‐supported Pt nanoparticles with a narrow particle‐size distribution were obtained. At a reduction pressure of 15.5 MPa and a temperature of 353 K, particle diameters of d50=2.3–2.8 nm were generated. Decreasing the pressure during the reduction reaction led to slightly larger particles whilst decreasing the amount of organometallic precursor in CO2 yielded a decrease in the particle size from x50=3.2 nm to 2.6 nm and a particle‐size distribution of 2.2 nm. Furthermore, substitution of the CH3 end group by the CnF2n+1 end groups led to a significant drop in Pt loading of about 50 %. Within the series of perfluorinated end groups that were considered, the Pt complex that contained a branched perfluoro‐isopropyl group showed the most‐interesting results when compared to the control precursor, [Pt(cod)Me2] ( 1 ).  相似文献

The synthesis of the germylene phosphane adduct (C2F5)2Ge?PMe3 is described. Starting from (C2F5)3GeH in an excess of PMe3, heating was applied, whereupon reductive elimination of C2F5H occurred. The molecular structure was ascertained by X‐ray diffraction and compared with information obtained by quantum chemical methods. The ligand properties were derived by studying the IR spectrum of the nickel(0) complex [Ni(CO)3{Ge(C2F5)2(PMe3)}] in the CO region. (C2F5)2Ge?PMe3 turned out to be a π‐accepting ligand comparable to PMe3, in terms of Tolman's electronic parameter. Furthermore a [2+4] cycloaddition reaction with 2,3‐dimethyl‐1,3‐butadiene, and σ‐bond insertion reactions were recorded. Activation of the C?Cl bond in dichloromethane gives rise to the formation of the phosphonium ylide complex [(C2F5)2Cl2Ge‐CH2PMe3], which was fully characterized by X‐ray diffraction.  相似文献

Fluorinated groups are essential for drug design, agrochemicals, and materials science. The bis(trifluoromethyl)amino group is an example of a stable group that has a high potential. While the number of molecules containing perfluoroalkyl, perfluoroalkoxy, and other fluorinated groups is steadily increasing, examples with the N(CF3)2 group are rare. One reason is that transfer reagents are scarce and metal-based storable reagents are unknown. Herein, a set of CuI and AgI bis(trifluoromethyl)amido complexes stabilized by N- and P-donor ligands with unprecedented stability are presented. The complexes are stable solids that can even be manipulated in air for a short time. They are bis(trifluoromethyl)amination reagents as shown by nucleophilic substitution and Sandmeyer reactions. In addition to a series of benzylbis(trifluoromethyl)amines, 2-bis(trifluoromethyl)amino acetate was obtained, which, upon hydrolysis, gives the fluorinated amino acid N,N-bis(trifluoromethyl)glycine.  相似文献

The synthesis of fluorinated hybrid silicones prepared in three steps from H2C CH—C6F12 CH CH2(I) and H2C CHCH2—C6F12—CH2CH CH2(II) is presented. First, both hydrosilylations of chlorodimethylsilane with these nonconjugated dienes were carried out in the presence of the Speier's catalyst leading to the expected bis-chlorosilane in excellent yield from (II) but giving a rearranged by-product from (I). However, a similar reaction from (I) initiated by a peroxide produced the expected bis-chlorosilane selectively. Second, these chlorosilanes were quantitatively hydrolyzed into the corresponding α,ω-bis silanols, whatever the spacer between the fluorinated group and the silicon atom. Finally, the polycondensations of these bis silanols were performed in the presence of an amine/acid adduct catalyst. Interestingly, the dihydroxysilane produced from (I) reacts much quicker than the other one. Moreover, thermal properties (Tg, Tdec) were investigated and compared to those of commercially available fluorosilicones or mentioned in the literature and show improvement of the behavior of these fluorosilicones at low and high temperatures. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Abstract

An efficient one-pot method for the preparation of 2-nitro-4-(trifluoromethyl)benzene containing sulfides from 1,1′-disulfanediylbis[2-nitro-4-(trifluoromethyl)benzene] is proposed. The corresponding enantiomerically enriched sulfoxides with up to 78% enantiomeric excess are prepared by the asymmetric oxidation of sulfides using a modified Sharpless method. The yield of sulfoxides is shown to decrease with an increase in the bulk of the aliphatic group and with a decrease of the inductive effect of the hydrocarbonic moiety on the sulfur atom.

New fluorinated aromatic polyimides were prepared from 1,4‐(4′‐aminophenoxy)‐2‐(3′‐trifluoromethylphenyl)benzene and aromatic dianhydrides via the polycondensation of one‐step high‐temperature and two‐step thermal or chemical imidization methods. Experimental results indicated that some of the polyimides were soluble both in strong dipolar solvents (N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone or N,N‐dimethylacetamide) and in common organic solvents such as tetrahydrofuran, CHCl3, and acetone. The polyimides showed exceptional thermal and thermooxidative stability and good mechanical properties. No weight loss was detected before a temperature of 520 °C in nitrogen, and the glass‐transition temperatures ranged from 208 to 251 °C. Low dielectric constants (2.55–2.71 at 1 MHz), low refractive indices, and low water absorption were also observed. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Inclusion compounds: intercalates of fluorinated graphite matrix with acetonitrile (C2FxBrz·yCH3CN, x=0.92, 0.87, 0.69 and 0.49, z≈0.01) were synthesized. The kinetics of the thermal decomposition (the 1st stage of filling→the 2nd stage of filling) was studied under isothermal conditions. 合成了具有锥形构象的含氟功能基团的杯芳烃衍生物1~3,并用单晶X射线衍射和核磁共振证实了其锥形构象。在混合溶剂中,研究了杯芳烃衍生物1~3对多种金属离子的识别行为。测试了化合物1~3的紫外-可见吸收光谱和荧光发射光谱,结果显示铜离子对化合物1~3具有明显的荧光猝灭特性,而其它金属离子(如Na',K',Cs',Mg2',Ca2',Ba2',Fe3',Cd2',Mn2',Co2',Ni2',Zn2')对化合物1~3的紫外-可见吸收光谱和荧光发射强度无显著的影响,表明化合物1~3对铜离子的识别具有高选择性。  相似文献

The radical grafting of CnF2n +1 CH2CH2SH (n = 6,8) onto the double bonds of hydroxyl-terminated liquid polybutadienes (HTPBD) was studied. Various methods for investigating the amount of grafting (titration of residual thiol and fluorine analysis) were used and compared. The nature and the amount of the initiator, the quantity of thiol, the temperature and the time of the reaction. the solvent, and the microstructure of HTPBD were optimized. The kinetic aspect showed that the thiol disappeared according to a first-norder law. A method using up to 100% of grafting fluorinated mercaptan was described and standards were set up with fluorine contents of 5–59% to evaluate the physicochemical properties of these thioether group-containing polymers: solubility, refractive index, intrinsic and dynamic viscosities, and thermal characteristics (glass transition and decomposition temperatures). Finally, the surface properties of these standards showed improvements of surface energy as low as 9 mN m?1 for a totally saturated fluorinated HTPBD. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is an endogenously produced gaseous signaling molecule with multiple biological functions. In order to visualize the endogenous in situ production of H2S in living cells in real time, here we developed multi‐fluorinated azido coumarins as fluorescent probes for the rapid and selective detection of biological H2S. Kinetic studies indicated that an increase in fluorine substitution leads to an increased rate of H2S‐mediated reduction reaction, which is also supported by our theoretical calculations. To our delight, tetra‐fluorinated coumarin 1 could react with H2S fast (t1/2≈1 min) and selectively, which could be further used for continuous enzymatic assays and for visualization of intracellular H2S. Bioimaging results obtained with 1 revealed that d ‐Cys could induce a higher level of endogenous H2S production than l ‐Cys in a time‐dependent manner in living cell.  相似文献

New dinuclear Au(I), Au(II) and Au(III) complexes containing (CF2)n bridging chains were obtained. Metallomacrocycles [Au2{μ-(CF2)4}{μ-diphosphine}] show an uncommon figure-eight structure, the helicity inversion barrier of which is influenced by aurophilic interactions and steric constraints imposed by the diphosphine. Halogenation of LAu(CF2)4AuL (L=PPh3, PMe3, (dppf)1/2, (binap)1/2) gave [Au(II)]2 species, some of which display unprecedented folded structures with Au−Au bonds. Aurophilic interactions facilitate this oxidation process by preorganizing the starting [Au(I)]2 complexes and lowering its redox potential. The obtained [Au(II)]2 complexes undergo thermal or photochemical elimination of R3PAuX to give Au(III) perfluorinated auracycles. Evidence of a radical mechanism for these decomposition reactions was obtained.  相似文献

Asymmetric arylation of 4‐fluoroalkyl‐2‐quinazolinone derivatives with arylboronic acids proceeded smoothly in the presence of a cationic palladium catalyst (1 mol %) coordinated with a chiral phosphinooxazoline (phox) ligand to create the corresponding fluorine‐containing arylated dihydroquinazolinones in high yields and with greater than 99 % ee.  相似文献

New aromatic diamines substituted with a trifluoromethyl group in the side chain, 2,4‐diamino‐3′‐trifluoromethylazobenzene, 2,4‐diamino‐1‐[(4′‐trifluoromethylphenoxy) phenyl] aniline, and 3,5‐diamino‐1‐[(4′‐trifluoromethyl phenoxy) phenyl] benzamide were synthesized and characterized and used to prepare polyimides by a one‐step high‐temperature polycondensation method. Experimental results indicated that the prepared polyimides possess good solubility in strong organic solvents such as N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidinone, N,N′‐dimethylformamide, and N,N′‐dimethylacetamide. Homogeneous solutions with solid contents as high as 15–20% can be prepared, which are stable for storing longer than 2 weeks at room temperature. The polyimides exhibited glass‐transition temperatures of 249–292 °C and good thermal stability. The PI‐Ic and PI‐IIIc films prepared by casting the fully imidized polymer solutions showed good transparency with cutoff wavelengths at 320–330 nm. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
