Four polyvinyl chloride (PVC) membrane sensors for the determination of hyoscine butylbromide are described and characterized. The sensors are based on the use of the ion association complexes of hyoscine cation with ammonium reineckate counter anions as ion exchange sites in the PVC matrix. The membranes incorporate ion association complexes of hyoscine with dibutylsebathete (sensor 1), dioctylphthalate (sensor 2), nitrophenyl octyl ether (sensor 3) and β-cyclodextrin (sensor 4). The performance characteristics of these sensors were evaluated according to IUPAC recommendations, which reveal a fast, stable and linear response for hyoscine over the concentration range of 10−5-10−2 M for sensors 1 and 2 and 10−6-10−2 for sensors 3 and 4 with cationic slopes of −53.19, −55.17, −51.44 and −51.51 mV per concentration decade for the four sensors, respectively. The direct potentiometric determination of hyoscine butylbromide using the proposed sensors gave average recoveries % of 99.92 ± 1.11, 99.93 ± 1.00, 99.94 ± 1.18 and 99.87 ± 1.39 for the four sensors, respectively. The sensors are used for determination of hyoscine butylbromide in laboratory prepared mixtures, pharmaceutical formulations in combination with ketoprofen and in plasma. Validation of the method shows suitability of the proposed sensors for use in the quality control assessment of hyoscine butylbromide. The developed method was found to be simple, accurate and precise when compared with a reported HPLC method.  相似文献

A specific adsorbent for extraction of methidathion from olive oil was developed. The design of the molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was based on the results of the computational screening of the library of polymerisable functional monomers. MIP was prepared by thermal polymerisation using N,N’-methylene bisacrylamide (MBAA) as a functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as a cross-linker. The polymers based on the itaconic acid (IA), methacrylic acid (MAA) and 2-(trifluoromethyl)acryl acid (TFMAA) functional monomers and one control polymer which was made without functional monomers with cross-linker EGDMA were also synthesised and tested. The performance of each polymer was compared using corresponding imprinting factor. As it was predicted by molecular modelling the best results were obtained for the MIP prepared with MBAA. The obtained MIP was optimised in solid-phase extraction coupled with high performance liquid chromatography (MISPE-HPLC-UV) and tested for the rapid screening of methidathion in olive oil. The proposed method allowed the efficient extraction of methidathion for concentrations ranging from 0.1 to 9 mg L−1 (r2 = 0.996). The limits of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) in olive oil were 0.02 mg L−1 and 0.1 mg L−1, respectively. MIPs extraction was much more effective than traditional C18 reverse-phase solid phase extraction.  相似文献

This paper reports the synthesis and testing of a molecularly imprinted polymer membrane for digoxin analysis. Digoxin-specific bulk polymer was obtained by the UV initiated co-polymerisation of methacrylic acid and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate in acetonitrile as porogen. After extracting the template analyte, the ground polymer particles were mixed with plasticizer polyvinyl chloride to form a MIP membrane. A reference polymer membrane was prepared from the same mixture of monomers but with no template. The resultant membrane morphologies were examined by scanning electron microscopy. The imprinted membrane was tested as the recognition element in a digoxin-sensitive fluorescence sensor; sensor response was measured using standard solutions of digoxin at concentrations of up to 4 × 10−3 mg L−1. The detection limit was 3.17 × 10−5 mg L−1. Within- and between-day relative standard deviations RSD (n = 5) were in the range 4.5-5.5% and 5.5-6.5% respectively for 0 and 1 × 10−3 mg L−1 digoxin concentrations. A selectivity study showed that compounds of similar structure to digoxin did not significantly interfere with detection for interferent concentrations at 10, 30 and 100 times higher than the digoxin concentration. This simply manufactured MIP membrane showed good recognition characteristics, a high affinity for digoxin, and provided satisfactory results in analyses of this analyte in human serum.  相似文献

An ascorbic acid sensor was fabricated via the drop-casting of dodecylbenzene sulphonic acid (DBSA)-doped polyaniline nanoparticles onto a screen-printed carbon-paste electrode. The modified electrode was characterised with respect to the numbers of drop cast layers, optimum potential and operating pH. The sensor was found to be optimal at neutral pH and at 0 V vs. Ag/AgCl. Under these conditions, the sensor showed good selectivity and sensitivity in that it did not respond to a range of common interferents such as dopamine, acetaminophen, uric acid and citric acid, but was capable of the detection of ascorbic acid at a sensitivity of 0.76 μA mM−1 or 10.75 μA mM−1 cm−2 across a range from 0.5 to 8 mM (r2 = 0.996, n = 6), and a limit of detection of 8.3 μM (S/N = 3). The sensor was compared to a range of other conducting polymer-based ascorbate sensors and found to be comparable or superior in terms of analytical performance.  相似文献

Three novel neostigmine bromide (NEO) selective electrodes were investigated with 2-nitrophenyl octyl ether as a plasticiser in a polymeric matrix of polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Sensor 1 was fabricated using tetrakis(4-chlorophenyl)borate (TpClPB) as an anionic exchanger without incorporation of an ionophore. Sensor 2 used 2-hydroxy propyl β-cyclodextrin as an ionophore while sensor 3 was constructed using 4-sulfocalix-8-arene as an ionophore. Linear responses of NEO within the concentration ranges of 10−5 to 10−2, 10−6 to 10−2 and 10−7 to 10−2 mol L−1 were obtained using sensors 1, 2 and 3, respectively. Nernstian slopes of 51.6 ± 0.8, 52.9 ± 0.6 and 58.6 ± 0.4 mV/decade over the pH range of 4-9 were observed. The selectivity coefficients of the developed sensors indicated excellent selectivity for NEO. The utility of 2-hydroxy propyl β-cyclodextrin and 4-sulfocalix[8]arene as ionophores had a significant influence on increasing the membrane sensitivity and selectivity of sensors 2 and 3 compared to sensor 1. The proposed sensors displayed useful analytical characteristics for the determination of NEO in bulk powder, different pharmaceutical formulations, and biological fluids (plasma and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)) and in the presence of its degradation product (3-hydroxyphenyltrimethyl ammonium bromide) and thus could be used for stability-indicating methods.  相似文献

Solid-contact sensors for the selective screening of sulfadiazine (SDZ) in aquaculture waters are reported. Sensor surfaces were made from PVC membranes doped with tetraphenylporphyrin-manganese(III) chloride, α-cyclodextrin, β-cyclodextrin, or γ-cyclodextrin ionophores that were dispersed in plasticizer. Some membranes also presented a positive or a negatively charged additive. Phorphyrin-based sensors relied on a charged carrier mechanism. They exhibited a near-Nernstian response with slopes of 52 mV decade−1 and detection limits of 3.91 × 10−5 mol L−1. The addition of cationic lipophilic compounds to the membrane originated Nernstian behaviours, with slopes ranging 59.7-62.0 mV decade−1 and wider linear ranges. Cyclodextrin-based sensors acted as neutral carriers. In general, sensors with positively charged additives showed an improved potentiometric performance when compared to those without additive. Some SDZ selective membranes displayed higher slopes and extended linear concentration ranges with an increasing amount of additive (always <100% ionophore). The sensors were independent from the pH of test solutions within 2-7. The sensors displayed fast response, always <15 s. In general, a good discriminating ability was found in real sample environment. The sensors were successfully applied to the fast screening of SDZ in real waters samples from aquaculture fish farms. The method offered the advantages of simplicity, accuracy, and automation feasibility. The sensing membrane may contribute to the development of small devices allowing in locus measurements of sulfadiazine or parent-drugs.  相似文献

Bisphenol A (BPA) is an emerging contaminant with severe toxic effects such as disrupting endocrine system or causing cancer, therefore, developing sensitive and selective sensor for BPA is very important and interesting. Herein, MCM-41, a kind of mesoporous silica, was synthesized and then used to prepare an electrochemical sensor for BPA. For better comparison, carbon nanotubes, activated carbon, silica gel and graphite were also employed to prepare electrochemical sensor for BPA. The electrochemical behaviors of BPA at different electrochemical sensors were investigated. Compared with other sensors, the MCM-41 sensor greatly enhances the response signal of BPA due to the large active surface area and high accumulation efficiency. The effects of pH value, accumulation time and sensor composition were examined. The linear range is from 2.2 × 10−7 to 8.8 × 10−6 mol L−1, and the limit of detection is evaluated to be 3.8 × 10−8 mol L−1. Finally, the MCM-41 sensor was successfully employed to determine BPA in water samples.  相似文献

Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) were used as potentiometric sensors for the selective recognition and determination of chlormequat (CMQ). They were produced after radical polymerization of 4‐vinyl pyridine (4‐VP) or methacrylic acid (MAA) monomers in the presence of a cross‐linker. CMQ was used as template. Similar non‐imprinted (NI) polymers (NIP) were produced by removing the template from reaction media. The effect of kind and amount of MIP or NIP sensors on the potentiometric behavior was investigated. Main analytical features were evaluated in steady and flow modes of operation. The sensor MIP/4‐VP exhibited the best performance, presenting fast near‐Nernstian response for CMQ over the concentration range 6.2×10−6–1.0×10−2 mol L−1 with detection limits of 4.1×10−6 mol L−1. The sensor was independent from the pH of test solutions in the range 5–10. Potentiometric selectivity coefficients of the proposed sensors were evaluated over several inorganic and organic cations. Results pointed out a good selectivity to CMQ. The sensor was applied to the potentiometric determination of CMQ in commercial phytopharmaceuticals and spiked water samples. Recoveries ranged 96 to 108.5%.  相似文献

In this study, a new strategy was proposed for the preparation of As (III)-imprinted polymer by using arsenic (methacrylate)3 as template. Precipitation polymerization was utilized to synthesize nano-sized As (III)-imprinted polymer. Methacrylic acid and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate were used as the functional monomer and cross-linking agent, respectively. In order to assembly functional monomers around As (III) ion, sodium arsenite and methacrylic acid were heated in the presence of hydroquinone, leading to arsenic (methacrylate)3. The nano-sized As (III) selective polymer was characterized by FT-IR and scanning electron microscopy techniques (SEM). It was demonstrated that arsenic was recognized as As3+ by the selective cavities of the synthesized IIP. Based on the prepared polymer, the first arsenic cation selective membrane electrode was introduced. Membrane electrode was constructed by dispersion of As (III)-imprinted polymer nanoparticles in poly(vinyl chloride), plasticized with di-nonylphthalate. The IIP-modified electrode exhibited a Nernstian response (20.4 ± 0.5 mV decade−1) to arsenic ion over a wide concentration range (7.0 × 10−7 to 1.0 × 10−1 mol L−1) with a lower detection limit of 5.0 × 10−7 mol L−1. Unlike this, the non-imprinted polymer (NIP)-based membrane electrode was not sensitive to arsenic in aqueous solution. The selectivity of the developed sensor to As (III) was shown to be satisfactory. The sensor was used for arsenic determination in some real samples.  相似文献

A new sol-gel Bi(III) sensor was developed by incorporating xylenol orange (XO) into sol-gel thin films (<1 μm thick) coated on glass slides. Several sols were produced in order to evaluate the effect of different processing parameters on the final characteristics of the sensor. Sensor films based on tetramethoxysilane (TMOS) as precursor, nitric acid catalysis, water:alkoxide ratio of 2 and XO concentration of 1.5 g l−1 were found to be the most suitable to be used as Bi(III) sensors. They presented good sensitivity, reversibility and stability, low leaching and fast response time in the proposed working conditions. These sensors were coupled to a multicommutated flow system for the determination of Bi(III) in pharmaceutical products. The absorbance of the Bi(III)-immobilized XO complex formed was monitored at 515 nm. The regeneration of the sensor was accomplished by flowing a Cl ion solution through the flow cell containing the sensor membranes. The procedure enables a relative standard deviation of results better than 0.8%, an analytical concentration range between 125.0 and 875.0 μg l−1, a detection limit of 7.0 μg l−1 and a sampling frequency of 45 samples per hour. The results obtained on real samples analysis were compared with those obtained by EDTA titrimetric method (British Pharmacopoeia), with relative deviation errors inferior to 5%.  相似文献

The rate coefficients of H atom addition to 20 acrylate type monomers were measured in dilute aqueous solutions by pulse radiolysis technique. All the measured values were in a relatively narrow range (2×109-1×1010 mol−1 dm3 s−1). The rate coefficients changed in the following order: crotonates≈maleates<fumarates<acrylic acid esters≈acrylamides<methacrylic acid esters. Some correlation between the H and OH addition rate coefficients was found.  相似文献

The six Schiff-base lariat ether chelates based on 4,13-diaza-18-crown ether, have been synthesized and explored as a neutral ionophores for preparing poly(vinyl chloride) based membrane sensors selective to silver(I). The addition of potassium tetrakis(4-chlorophenyl) borate and various plasticizers, viz., o-NPOE, DBP, DBBP, DOP and CN has been found to substantially improve the performance of the sensors. The best performance was obtained with the sensor no. 5 having membrane of chelate (A6) with composition (w/w) chelate (2.8%):PVC (45.7%):o-NPOE (48.6%):KTpClPB (2.8%). This sensor exhibits Nernstian response with slope 59.3 mV/decade of activity in the concentration range 5.6 × 10−8-1.0 × 10−1 M Ag(I), performs satisfactorily over wide pH range of (3.0-8.0) with a fast response time (12 s). The sensor was also found to work satisfactorily in partially non-aqueous media up to 25% (v/v) content of acetonitrile, methanol or ethanol and can tolerate the concentration 1.0 × 10−2 M of ionic (SDS, TBC) and nonionic (Triton X-100) surfactants. The proposed sensor can be used over a period of 4 months without significant drift in potentials. The response of the sensor was highly selective to Ag+ over a large number of cations and it could therefore be used for Ag+ estimation in blood of occupationally exposed persons.  相似文献

Au–Ag bimetallic microfluidic, dumbbell-shaped, surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) sensors were fabricated on cellulose paper by screen printing. These printed sensors rely on a sample droplet injection zone, and a SERS detection zone at either end of the dumbbell motif, fabricated by printing silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) and gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) successively with microscale precision. The microfluidic channel was patterned using an insulating ink to connect these two zones and form a hydrophobic circuit. Owing to capillary action of paper in the millimeter-sized channels, the sensor could enable self-filtering of fluids to remove suspended particles within wastewater without pumping. This sensor also allows sensitive SERS detection, due to advantageous combination of the strong surface enhancement of Ag NPs and excellent chemical stability of Au NPs. The SERS performance of the sensors was investigated by employing the probe rhodamine 6G, a limit of detection (LOD) of 1.1 × 10−13 M and an enhancement factor of 8.6 × 106 could be achieved. Moreover, the dumbbell-shaped bimetallic sensors exhibited good stability with SERS performance being maintained over 14 weeks in air, and high reproducibility with less than 15% variation in spot-to-spot SERS intensity. Using these dumbbell-shaped bimetallic sensors, substituted aromatic pollutants in wastewater samples could be quantitatively analyzed, which demonstrated their excellent capability for rapid trace pollutant detection in wastewater samples in the field without pre-separation.  相似文献

A highly sensitive disposable screen-printed butyrylcholine (BuCh) potentiometric sensor, based on heptakis (2,3,6-tri-o-methyl)-β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) as ionophore, was developed for butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE) activity monitoring. The proposed sensors have been characterized and optimized according to the constituents of homemade printing carbon ink including β-CD, anionic sites, and plasticizer. The fabricated sensor showed Nernstian responses from 10−6 to 10−2 mol L−1 with detection limit of 8 × 10−7 mol L−1, fast response time (1.6 s) and adequate shelf-life (6 months). Improved selectivity towards BuCh with minimal interference from choline (Ch) was achieved and the sensor was used for determination of 0.06-1.25 U mL−1 BuChE. The developed disposable sensors have been successfully applied for real-time intoxication monitoring through assaying cholinesterases (ChEs) activity in human serum. Determination of organophosphate pesticide was conducted by measuring their inhibition of BuChE with successful assaying of malathion in insecticide samples with high accuracy and precision.  相似文献

Molecular imprinting is a useful technique for the preparation of functional materials with molecular recognition properties. In this work, a biomimetic potentiometric sensor, based on a non-covalent imprinted polymer, was fabricated for the recognition and determination of hydroxyzine in tablets and biological fluids. The molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was synthesized by precipitation polymerization, using hydroxyzine dihydrochloride as a template molecule, methacrylic acid (MAA) as a functional monomer and ethylene glycol dimethacrylat (EGDMA) as a cross-linking agent. The sensor showed a high selectivity and a sensitive response to the template in aqueous system. The MIP-modified electrode exhibited a Nernstian response (29.4 ± 1.0 mV decade−1) in a wide concentration range of 1.0 × 10−6 to 1.0 × 10−1 M with a lower detection limit of 7.0 × 10−7 M. The electrode demonstrated a response time of ∼15 s, a high performance and a satisfactory long-term stability (more than 5 months). The method has the requisite accuracy, sensitivity and precision to assay hydroxyzine in tablets and biological fluids.  相似文献

This work reports the preparation of a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) for selective catalytic detection of serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, 5-HT). The process is based on the synthesis of polymers with hemin introduced as the catalytic center to mimic the active site of peroxidase. The copolymer MIP, containing artificial recognition sites for 5-HT, has been prepared by bulk polymerization using methacrylic acid (MAA) and hemin as the functional monomers, and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as the cross-linker. For the determination of 5-HT, a flow injection analysis system coupled to an amperometric detector was optimized using multivariate analysis. The effects of different parameters, such as pH, buffer flow rate, buffer nature, peroxide concentration and sample volume were evaluated. After optimizing the experimental conditions, a linear response range from 1.0 up to 1000.0 μmol L−1 was obtained with a sensitivity of 0.4 nA/μmol L−1. The detection limit was found to be 0.30 μmol L−1, while the precision values (n = 6) evaluated by relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) were, respectively, 1.3 and 1.7% for solutions of 50 and 750 μmol L−1 of 5-HT. No interference was observed by structurally similar compounds (including epinephrine, dopamine and norepinephrine), thus validating the good performance of the imprinted polymer. The method was applied for the determination of 5-HT in spiked blood serum samples.  相似文献

Hydrogen peroxide and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) may be determined amperometrically using screen-printed electrodes chemically modified with iron(III) hexacyanoosmate(II) (Osmium purple) in flow injection analysis (FIA). The determination is based on the exploitation of catalytic currents resulting from the oxidation/reduction of the modifier. The performance of the sensor was characterized and optimized by controlling several operational parameters (applied potential, pH and flow rate of the phosphate buffer). Comparison has been made with analogous complexes of ruthenium (Ruthenium purple) and iron (Prussian blue). Taking into account the sensitivity and stability of corresponding sensors, the best results were obtained with the use of Osmium purple. The sensor exhibited a linear increase of the amperometric signal with the concentration of hydrogen peroxide in the range of 0.1-100 mg L−1 with a detection limit (evaluated as 3σ) of 0.024 mg L−1 with a R.S.D. 1.5% for 10 mg L−1 H2O2 under optimized flow rate of 0.4 mL min−1 in 0.1 M phosphate buffer carrier (pH 6) and a working potential of +0.15 V versus Ag/AgCl. Afterwards, a biological recognition element - either glucose oxidase or ethanol dehydrogenase - was incorporated to achieve a sensor facilitating the determination of glucose or ethanol, respectively. The glucose sensor gave linearity between current and concentration in the range from 1 to 250 mg L−1 with a R.S.D. 2.4% for 100 mg L−1 glucose, detection limit 0.02 mg L−1 (3σ) and retained its original activity after 3 weeks when stored at 6 °C. Optimal parameters in the determination of ethanol were selected as: applied potential +0.45 V versus Ag/AgCl, flow rate 0.2 mL min−1 in 0.1 M phosphate buffer carrier (pH 7). Different structural designs of the ethanol sensor were tested and linearity obtained was up to 1000 mg L−1 with a maximum R.S.D. of 5.1%. Applications in food analysis were also examined.  相似文献

A novel technique of covalent immobilization of indicator dyes in the preparation of fluorescence sensors is developed. Silver nanoparticles are used as bridges and carriers for anchoring indicator dyes. 3-amino-9-ethylcarbazole (AEC) was employed as an example of indicator dyes with terminal amino groups and covalently immobilized onto the outmost surface of a quartz glass slide. First, the glass slide was functionalized by (3-mercaptopropyl) trimethoxysilane (MPS) to form a thiol-terminated self-assembled monolayer, where silver nanoparticles were strongly bound to the surface through covalent bonding. Then, 16-mercaptohexadecanoic acid (MHDA) was self-assembled to bring carboxylic groups onto the surface of silver nanoparticles. A further activation by using 1-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-3-ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride (EDC) and N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) converted the carboxylic groups into succinimide esters. Finally, the active succinimide esters on the surface of silver nanoparticles were reacted with AEC. Thus, AEC was covalently bound to the glass slide and an AEC-immobilized sensor was obtained. The sensor exhibited very satisfactory reproducibility and reversibility, rapid response and no dye-leaching. Rutin can quench the fluorescence intensity of the sensor and be measured by using the sensor. The linear response of the sensor to rutin covers the range from 2.0 × 10−6 to 1.5 × 10−4 mol L−1 with a detection limit of 8.0 × 10−7 mol L−1. The proposed technique may be feasible to the covalent immobilization of other dyes with primary amino groups.  相似文献
