Proton-α bremsstrahlung cross sections have been measured at 45 MeV for θp = 91°, θα = 30° and θp = 70°, θα = 39°; at 40 MeV for θp = 92°, θα = 29°; and at 22 MeV for θp = 70°, θα = 30°. Calculations for these cross sections have been made using the Feshbach-Yennie model following the methods of Green and Prodon including p-α partial waves up to L = 4. These potential-independent calculations have only the proton-α elastic-scattering phase shifts as input. Good agreement with the experimental cross sectios has been obtained.  相似文献

A new TOF facility has been built for measurements of differential (γ, n) cross sections to discrete final states of light nuclei in the photon energy range between giant resonance and pion threshold. The observed neutron angle θn can continuously be varied between 0° and 150°, and additionally measurements at 175° and 180° are possible. Differential cross sections for the reaction 16O(γ, n0)15O are presented for Eγ = 60 MeV (40° ? θn ? 149°) and for θn = 90° (60 MeV ? Eγ ? 160 MeV). The results, combined with the corresponding (γ, p0) cross sections, indicate an absorption mechanism of high energy photons by neutron-proton pairs.  相似文献

Using neutron capture γ-rays from a 140CeO2 source installed in the Grenoble high-flux reactor, differential cross sections for the elastic scattering of photons by Ta, Pb and U through θ = 120° have been measured for E = 4.291 and 4.767 MeV. These data have been supplemented by measuring elastic differential cross sections for U, θ = 120° and energies ranging from 0.279 to 1.332 MeV, using radioactive sources. The experimental differential cross sections below 1 MeV confirm the predicted Rayleigh amplitudes based on the second-order S-matrix within 3%. An excellent agreement between experiment and lowest-order Delbrück theory is observed between 1.0 and 1.4 MeV, showing that Coulomb corrections are small close to the threshold for pair production. At 4.291 and 4.767 MeV experiment and lowest-order Delbrück theory agree within ~12%  相似文献

We have measured the double differential cross section for bremsstrahlung production in neutron-proton collisions near 130 MeV. Outgoing nucleons were detected at eight pairs of angles simultaneously. The cross sections agree with several theoretical predictions for those four angle pairs in which the proton emerged at 20° (θ = 20°), but are larger than expected in the four cases that θp = 32°. The method of data reduction, and the sources of uncertainty, are discussed in detail.  相似文献

The differential cross sections at 90° for the 51V(e, p0)50Ti and 52Cr(e, p0 + p1)51V reactions have been measured over the giant dipole resonance region. These cross sections were used to obtain the differential cross sections of the 51V(γ, p0)50Ti and 52Cr(γ, p0 + p1)51V reactions. The results show two peaks that appear at the same energies as the main peaks of the (γ, n) and (γ, p) cross section for both nuclei. The angular distributions of protons from the (e, p) reaction have also been measured at several points of the incident electron energy. The coefficients A2 obtained by fitting with a series of Legendre polynomials, W(θ) = 1 + A1P1(cos θ)+A2P2(cos θ), varies with excitation energy. These results are discussed in terms of the direct-semidirect process considering isospin effects in the giant dipole resonance.  相似文献

Antiproton-carbon elastic and inelastic scattering cross sections have been measured at 46.8 MeV over an angular range 6° ? θ ? 59° with a magnetic spectrometer. Fits to the elastic and inelastic 4.44 MeV excited state cross sections put realistic limits on the strengths of the real and imaginary parts of the antiproton-carbon optical potential. The continuum cross section due to carbon break-up appears to be smaller than it is for corresponding proton data.  相似文献

A proper treatment of various electromagnetic contributions toN-4He scattering enables one to determinen(p)-4He observables fromp(n)-4He data. Several calculations ofn-4He observables considering different electromagnetic effects are presented. It is shown that the contribution of thep-4He Coulomb corrections ton-4He polarizations and differential cross sections dominates over other electromagnetic effects forθ c.m.≧30°. For smaller scattering angles, neutron magnetic scattering is important and produces a divergingn-4He differential cross section atθ=0° and a large peak (Mott-Schwinger effect) in the polarization. The influence of thep- andn-4He vacuum polarizations on then-4He observables is found to be small.  相似文献

The differential cross section σ0(θ) and the analysing powers T11(θ), T20(θ), T21(θ) and T22(θ) of the reaction 6Li(d, α)4He have been measured for twelve energies between 1.5 and 11.5 MeV at c.m. angles between 3.5° and 90°. The results were fitted with Legendre polynomials. The energy dependence of the resulting coefficients indicates resonance-like behaviour at several energies corresponding to excitation between 22 and 32 MeV in 8Be. The reaction 6Li(d, α)4He shows excellent features as an analyser for deuteron vector and tensor polarization over the whole energy range investigated.  相似文献

Differential cross sections for the scattering of protons by protons have been measured at energies from 0.35 to 1.0 MeV over an angular range from 24° to 110° in the c.m. system with an absolute accuracy of 0.2 %. Special care was taken at energies around the interference minimum where, due to the extremely small values of the cross section, the accuracy has been 0.8 % at θc.m. = 90°. The resulting value for the minimum energy is EIM = 382.48 ± 0.10 keV. The high accuracy could be achieved mainly by using a new double compensated calorimeter for the current integration.  相似文献

Two-spectator quasifree processes (graphs with two spectator particles) for the 3He(3He, dd)pp reaction at the symmetric angle pairs θ = 30.1° at E3He = 50 MeV and θ = 37° at E3He = 78 MeV are investigated. The theoretical cross sections are calculated with the PWIA model. The measured cross sections are smaller but have shapes which are in good agreement with the calculation. The ratio N = experiment/theory is approximately 0.05 at 50 MeV and 0.1 at 78 MeV. The reaction 2H(d, pp)nn also was studied at the symmetric angle pair θ = 34.8° and E2H = 34.7 MeV and the ratio is about 0.14.  相似文献

Angular distribution of cosmic-ray muons at sea level has been investigated using the Geant4 simulation package. The model used in the simulations was tested by comparing the simulation results with the measurements made using the Berkeley Lab cosmic ray detector. Primary particles’ energy and fluxes were obtained from the experimental measurements. Simulations were run at each zenith angle starting from θ?=?0° up to θ?=?70° with 5° increment. The angular distribution of muons at sea level has been estimated to be in the form I(θ)?=?I(0°) cos n (θ), where I(0°) is the muon intensity at 0° and n is a function of the muon momentum. The exponent n?=?1.95±0.08 for muons with energies above 1 GeV is in good agreement, within error, with the values reported in the literature.  相似文献

The differential elastic scattering cross section of 9.0 MeV photons by 181Ta has been measured at angles between 25° and 140° and a good agreement was obtained between the measured and predicted values at θ = 35–90°. In calculating the theoretical cross sections the coherent scattering contributions of nuclear Thomson (NT), nuclear resonance (NR) and Delbrück (D) amplitudes were included while that of Rayleigh (R) scattering was excluded. The D-amplitudes were taken from a recent calculation by Mork and Papatzacos. Evidence for the contribution of the real D-amplitude is obtained.  相似文献

Differential cross sections have been measured at θ≈20–120° at 50, 100 and 200 MeV. Salient features of the angular distributions are Coulomb interference effects at 50 MeV and clear spin-flip contributions to π? compared to π+ scattering in the angular region of θ≈80° dominated by the πN p-wave minimum. Comparison with optical model calculations account for the data up to 200 MeV while this first-order scattering theory misses conspicuous features of data at 295 MeV.  相似文献

Neutron-neutron quasifree scattering has been studied in the deuteron break-up reaction 2H(n, nn)p at En = 14.1 MeV. Two coplanar and symmetric configurations have been investigated in a kinematically complete experiment where the detection of the spectator particle was not possible. The experimental cross sections are compared with “exact” calculations derived from Faddeev-type equations solved with S- and P-wave nucleon-nucleon separable interactions. These calculations agree both in shape and magnitude with the differential cross section for the θ1 = ? θ2 = 40° configuration (Epmin = 0). At θ1 = ? θ2 = 30° (Epmin = 180 keV). however, the absolute value of the measured cross section is too high and an observed structure in the shape of the differential cross section is in sharp conflict with the now available “exact” calculations.  相似文献

The inclusive invariant cross sections for protons produced at angles of θ=90° and 60° and for positively and negatively charged pions produced at an angle of θ=90° are presented for π ?Be, π ?Al, and π ?Cu interactions induced by 43-GeV/c incident π ? mesons. The shape of the inclusive spectra of secondary hadrons, the A dependence of their cross sections, and the correlation functions for pairs of likely charged secondary hadrons at large angles of their divergence are studied. The kinematical region explored in the present article corresponded to kinetic energies of T≈0.16–0.70 GeV and T≈0.20–0.76 GeV for secondary protons and secondary pions, respectively. The angles of divergence of hadrons forming a pair, ψ, satisfied the condition cos ψ相似文献

The angular distribution of the proton polarization has been measured between 30° and 110° in the CM system near 10 MeV laboratory energy. It provides a sensitive test of theoretical fits to the cross section angular distribution. The reaction mechanism is largely direct below 70° and evidence has been found for a deuteron-cluster transfer. Nuclear Reactions14N3(He,p),E=9.8 MeV; measuredP(E,θ), σ(E,θ); DWBA and deuteron transfer analysis; deduced dominant mechanism of forward angle amplitudes.  相似文献

The tensor analyzing power T20(θ) in dp backward scattering has been measured at or near center-of-mass angle θ = 180° in the energy range 0.3–2.3 GeV. A pronounced structure is observed around Td = 0.5 GeV which is explained by a predominant one-neutron-exchange mechanism. Other structures appear around 1 GeV and higher. They are not explained by calculations which include Δ-excitations in intermediate states. In addition, full angular distributions of vector Ay and tensor Ayy analyzing powers and differential cross sections have been obtained at 1.2 GeV and limited angular ranges explored at 0.5 GeV (back angles) and 1.6 GeV (forward angles).  相似文献

The reaction channels of the system 16O + 16O with outgoing heavy particles from lithium to magnesium have been measured using a ΔE-E telescope. Excitation functions from 49 to 65 MeV at θLab = 30° and angular distributions from θLab = 10° (20°) to 50° at ELab = 51.5 MeV are presented for the strong transitions. The excitation function of the 12C-20Ne (4.25 MeV) channel shows a pronounced regular cross structure with peaks at 52 and 60 MeV. A selective excitation of certain states in the inelastic scattering and the 12C-20Ne channel is observed; the yields of the other heavy-ion channels being weaker by at least one order of magnitude. An explanation of this phenomenon is given by considering the angular momentum matching between entrance and exit channels. Furthermore it is shown that no strong dependence of the cross sections on the transferred angular momentum or on the nuclear structure of the final states is observed. Possible implications of these results on the reaction mechanism are discussed.  相似文献

本文在Ed=0.1—2.5MeV能量范围内,研究了Be9(d,p0)Be10(0),Be9(d,p1)Be10(3.368MeV),Be9(d,t0)Be8(0),Be9(d,α0)Li7(0)及Be9(d,α1)Li7(0.478MeV)诸反应。在Ed=0.150,0.220,0.401,0.706,1.005,1.301,1.484,1.750,2.000,2.250和2.500MeV共十一个能量上分别测量了这五群出射粒子在θL=10—155°区间的角分布。在θL=135°,Ed=0.1—2.5MeV,在θL=95°,Ed=0.1—2.2MeV,和在θL=112.5°,Ed=0.5—2.5MeV测量了Be9(d,p0)Be10的激发函数。在θL=135°和112.5°,Ed=1.2MeV,用较厚靶(100—300μg/cm2)测量了Be9(d,p0)Be10(0)反应的截面绝对值,结果为σ(p0)L=135°)=1.60mb/sr,σ(p0)L=112.5°)=1.55mb/sr。这样就得到了在此能区内,这五群出射粒子的截面情况。对所得结果进行了一些讨论。  相似文献
