Light‐activated ruthenium polypyridyl anticancer prodrugs often suffer from poor water solubility, poor selectivity, and/or ill‐defined intracellular targets. Coordination of the d ‐ or l ‐glucose thioether ligand 3 (2‐(2‐(2‐(methylthio)ethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl‐β‐glucopyranoside) to the highly lipophilic ruthenium complex [Ru(tpy)(dppn)(H2O)]2+ ([ 1 ]2+; dppn=benzo[i]dipyrido‐[3,2‐a:2′,3′‐c]phenazine, tpy=2,2′:6′,2′′‐terpyridine) solved all these problems at once. The two enantiomers of [Ru(tpy)(dppn)( 3) ][PF6]2, [d ‐ 2 ][PF6]2 and [l ‐ 2 ][PF6]2, were soluble in water, which allowed the influence of the chirality of the glucose moiety on uptake, toxicity, and intracellular localization of the prodrug to be probed without changing any other physicochemical properties. Both compounds showed mild, but different, cytotoxicity in A549 (human lung carcinoma) and MCF‐7 (human breast adenocarcinoma) cancer cells in the dark, whereas following low doses of visible light irradiation (3.1 J cm?2 at λ = 454 nm), a similar, but high cytotoxicity (EC50 < 1 μm ), was observed. Irrespective of the chirality, both slightly emissive Ru complexes were found in the mitochondria, and two modes of action may contribute to light‐induced cell death: 1) the glucose thioether ligand is photosubstituted by water, thus [ 1 ]2+, which interacts with DNA at an exceptionally high 400:1 base pair/Ru ratio, is released; 2) both [ 1 ]2+ and [ 2 ]2+ produce massive amounts of singlet oxygen, which leads to very efficient photodynamic DNA cleavage.  相似文献

Using a new mononuclear “building block,” for the first time, a dinuclear RuII(dppn) complex and a heteroleptic system containing both RuII(dppz) and RuII(dppn) moieties are reported. The complexes, including the mixed dppz/dppn system, are 1O2 sensitizers. However, unlike the homoleptic dppn systems, the mixed dppz/dppn complex also displays a luminescence “switch on” DNA light‐switch effect. In both cisplatin sensitive and resistant human ovarian carcinoma lines the dinuclear complexes show enhanced uptake compared to their mononuclear analogue. Thanks to a favorable combination of singlet oxygen generation and cellular uptake properties all three of the new complexes are phototoxic and display potent activity against chemotherapeutically resistant cells.  相似文献

At room temperature, [Ru(bpy)2(phen-CD)][PF6]2, (phen-CD is 6 A -(5-amino-1, 10-phenanthroline)-6 A -deoxy- β-Cyclodextrin and bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine) exhibits an intense metal ligand charge transfer (MLCT) transition at 452 nm and a long lived luminescence, centred at 618 nm. We demonstrate, for the first time, that the luminescence quantum yield and lifetime of the Ru (II) polypyridyl centre depends markedly on the solution pH. The pH sensitive range extends from pH 3.9 to pH 13.2 and the luminescence quantum yield changes by more than 60% over this range. This pH sensitivity is attributed to protonation/deprotonation of the secondary amine group bridge between the phenanthroline unit and CD. The complex exhibits strong host-guest binding to anthraquinone and anthraquinone-2-carboxylic acid, with concomitant quenching of the [Ru(bpy)2(phen-CD)]2+ excited state. This quenching arises from efficient intramolecular electron transfer. The sensitivity of this photoinduced process to the protonation state of the bridge is discussed.  相似文献

Photophysical properties in dilute MeCN solution are reported for seven RuII complexes containing two 2,2′‐bipyridine (bpy) ligands and different third ligands, six of which contain a variety of 4,4′‐carboxamide‐disubstituted 2,2′‐bipyridines, for one complex containing no 2,2′‐bipyridine, but 2 of these different ligands, for three multinuclear RuII complexes containing 2 or 4 [Ru(bpy)2] moieties and also coordinated via 4,4′‐carboxamide‐disubstituted 2,2′‐bipyridine ligands, and for the complex [(Ru(bpy)2(L)]2+ where L is N,N′‐([2,2′‐bipyridine]‐4,4′‐diyl)bis[3‐methoxypropanamide]. Absorption maxima are red‐shifted with respect to [Ru(bpy)3]2+, as are phosphorescence maxima which vary from 622 to 656 nm. The lifetimes of the lowest excited triplet metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer states 3MLCT in de‐aerated MeCN are equal to or longer than for [Ru(bpy)3]2+ and vary considerably, i.e., from 0.86 to 1.71 μs. Rate constants kq for quenching by O2 of the 3MLCT states were measured and found to be well below diffusion‐controlled, ranging from 1.2 to 2.0⋅109 dm3 mol−1 s−1. The efficiencies f of singlet‐oxygen formation during oxygen quenching of these 3MLCT states are relatively high, namely 0.53 – 0.89. The product of kq and f gives the net rate constant k for quenching due to energy transfer to produce singlet oxygen, and kqk equals k, the net rate constant for quenching due to energy dissipation of the excited 3MLCT states without energy transfer. The quenching rate constants were both found to correlate with ΔGCT, the free‐energy change for charge transfer from the excited Ru complex to oxygen, and the relative and absolute values of these rate constants are discussed.  相似文献

Strongly σ‐donating N‐heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) have revived research interest in the catalytic chemistry of iron, and are now also starting to bring the photochemistry and photophysics of this abundant element into a new era. In this work, a heteroleptic FeII complex ( 1 ) was synthesized based on sequentially furnishing the FeII center with the benchmark 2,2′‐bipyridine (bpy) ligand and the more strongly σ‐donating mesoionic ligand, 4,4′‐bis(1,2,3‐triazol‐5‐ylidene) (btz). Complex 1 was comprehensively characterized by electrochemistry, static and ultrafast spectroscopy, and quantum chemical calculations and compared to [Fe(bpy)3](PF6)2 and (TBA)2[Fe(bpy)(CN)4]. Heteroleptic complex 1 extends the absorption spectrum towards longer wavelengths compared to a previously synthesized homoleptic FeII NHC complex. The combination of the mesoionic nature of btz and the heteroleptic structure effectively destabilizes the metal‐centered (MC) states relative to the triplet metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (3MLCT) state in 1 , rendering it a lifetime of 13 ps, the longest to date of a photochemically stable FeII complex. Deactivation of the 3MLCT state is proposed to proceed via the 3MC state that strongly couples with the singlet ground state.  相似文献

Ruthenium polypyridyl complexes are widely used as light harvesters in dye‐sensitized solar cells. Since one of the potential applications of single‐wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) and their derived materials is their use as active components in organic and hybrid solar cells, the study of the photochemistry of SWCNTs with tethered ruthenium polypyridyl complexes is important. A water‐soluble ruthenium tris(bipyridyl) complex linked through peptidic bonds to SWCNTs (Ru‐SWCNTs) was prepared by radical addition of thiol‐terminated SWCNT to a terminal C?C double bond of a bipyridyl ligand of the ruthenium tris(bipyridyl) complex. The resulting macromolecular Ru‐SWCNT (≈500 nm, 15.6 % ruthenium complex content) was water‐soluble and was characterized by using TEM, thermogravimetric analysis, chemical analysis, and optical spectroscopy. The emission of Ru‐SWCNT is 1.6 times weaker than that of a mixture of [Ru(bpy)3]2+ and SWCNT of similar concentration. Time‐resolved absorption optical spectroscopy allows the detection of the [Ru(bpy)3]2+‐excited triplet and [Ru(bpy)3]+. The laser flash studies reveal that Ru‐SWCNT exhibits an unprecedented two‐photon process that is enabled by the semiconducting properties of the SWCNT. Thus, the effect of the excitation wavelength and laser power on the transient spectra indicate that upon excitation of two [Ru(bpy)3]2+ complexes of Ru‐SWCNT, a disproportionation process occurs leading to delayed formation of [Ru(bpy)3]+ and the performance of the SWCNT as a semiconductor. This two‐photon delayed [Ru(bpy)3]+ generation is not observed in the photolysis of [Ru(bpy)3]3+; SWCNT acts as an electron wire or electron relay in the disproportionation of two [Ru(bpy)3]2+ triplets in a process that illustrates that the SWCNT plays a key role in the process. We propose a mechanism for this two‐photon disproportionation compatible with i) the need for high laser flux, ii) the long lifetime of the [Ru(bpy)3]2+ triplets, iii) the semiconducting properties of the SWNT, and iv) the energy of the HOMO/LUMO levels involved.  相似文献

The new compounds [(acac)2Ru(μ‐boptz)Ru(acac)2] ( 1 ), [(bpy)2Ru(μ‐boptz)Ru(bpy)2](ClO4)2 ( 2 ‐(ClO4)2), and [(pap)2Ru(μ‐boptz)Ru(pap)2](ClO4)2 ( 3 ‐(ClO4)2) were obtained from 3,6‐bis(2‐hydroxyphenyl)‐1,2,4,5‐tetrazine (H2boptz), the crystal structure analysis of which is reported. Compound 1 contains two antiferromagnetically coupled (J=?36.7 cm?1) RuIII centers. We have investigated the role of both the donor and acceptor functions containing the boptz2? bridging ligand in combination with the electronically different ancillary ligands (donating acac?, moderately π‐accepting bpy, and strongly π‐accepting pap; acac=acetylacetonate, bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine pap=2‐phenylazopyridine) by using cyclic voltammetry, spectroelectrochemistry and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy for several in situ accessible redox states. We found that metal–ligand–metal oxidation state combinations remain invariant to ancillary ligand change in some instances; however, three isoelectronic paramagnetic cores Ru(μ‐boptz)Ru showed remarkable differences. The excellent tolerance of the bpy co ‐ ligand for both RuIII and RuII is demonstrated by the adoption of the mixed ‐ valent form in [L2Ru(μ‐boptz)RuL2]3+, L=bpy, whereas the corresponding system with pap stabilizes the RuII states to yield a phenoxyl radical ligand and the compound with L=acac? contains two RuIII centers connected by a tetrazine radical‐anion bridge.  相似文献

The design of photoactive functionalized electrodes for the sensitive transduction of double‐stranded DNA hybridization is reported. Multifunctional complex [Ru(bpy‐pyrrole)2(dppn)]2+ (bpy‐pyrrole=4‐methyl‐4′‐butylpyrrole‐2,2′‐bipyridine, dppn=benzo[i]dipyrido[3,2‐a:2′,3′‐c]phenazine) exhibiting photosensitive, DNA‐intercalating, and electropolymerizable properties was synthesized and characterized. The pyrrole groups undergo oxidative electropolymerization on planar electrodes forming a metallopolymer layer on the electrode. Thanks to the photoelectrochemical and intercalating properties of the immobilized RuII complex, the binding of a double‐stranded HIV DNA target was photoelectrochemically detected on planar electrodes. Photocurrent generation through visible irradiation was correlated to the interaction between double‐stranded DNA and the metallointercalator polymer. These interactions were well fitted by using a Langmuir isotherm, which allowed a dissociation constant of 2×106 L mol?1 to be estimated. The low detection limit of 1 fmol L?1 and sensitivity of 0.01 units per decade demonstrate excellent suitability of these modified electrodes for detection of duplex DNA.  相似文献

We have synthesized ruthenium(II)– and osmium(II)–polypyridyl complexes ([M(bpy)2 L ]2+, in which M=OsII or RuII, bpy=2,2′‐bipyridyl, and L =4‐(2,2′‐bipyridinyl‐4‐yl)benzene‐1,2‐diol) and studied the interfacial electron‐transfer process on a TiO2 nanoparticle surface using femtosecond transient‐absorption spectroscopy. Ruthenium(II)‐ and osmium(II)‐based dyes have a similar molecular structure; nevertheless, we have observed quite different interfacial electron‐transfer dynamics (both forward and backward). In the case of the RuII/TiO2 system, single‐exponential electron injection takes place from photoexcited nonthermalized metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer (MLCT) states. However, in the case of the OsII/TiO2 system, electron injection takes place biexponentially from both nonthermalized and thermalized MLCT states (mainly 3MLCT states). Larger spin–orbit coupling for the heavier transition‐metal osmium, relative to that of ruthenium, accounts for the more efficient population of the 3MLCT states in the OsII‐based dye during the electron‐injection process that yields biexponential dynamics. Our results tend to suggest that appropriately designed OsII–polypyridyl dye can be a better sensitizer molecule relative to its RuII analogue not only due to much broader absorption in the visible region of the solar‐emission spectrum, but also on account of slower charge recombination.  相似文献

An organic‐based photocatalysis system for water oxidation, with visible‐light harvesting antennae, was constructed using periodic mesoporous organosilica (PMO). PMO containing acridone groups in the framework (Acd‐PMO), a visible‐light harvesting antenna, was supported with [RuII(bpy)32+] complex (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridyl) coupled with iridium oxide (IrOx) particles in the mesochannels as photosensitizer and catalyst, respectively. Acd‐PMO absorbed visible light and funneled the light energy into the Ru complex in the mesochannels through excitation energy transfer. The excited state of Ru complex is oxidatively quenched by a sacrificial oxidant (Na2S2O8) to form Ru3+ species. The Ru3+ species extracts an electron from IrOx to oxidize water for oxygen production. The reaction quantum yield was 0.34 %, which was improved to 0.68 or 1.2 % by the modifications of PMO. A unique sequence of reactions mimicking natural photosystem II, 1) light‐harvesting, 2) charge separation, and 3) oxygen generation, were realized for the first time by using the light‐harvesting PMO.  相似文献

Ab initio calculations have been performed on [FeII(bpy)3]2+ (bpy=bipyridine) to establish the variation of the energy of the electronic states relevant to light‐induced excited‐state spin trapping as a function of the Fe? ligand distance. Light‐induced spin crossover takes place after excitation into the singlet metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (MLCT) band. We found that the corresponding electronic states have their energy minimum in the same region as the low‐spin (LS) state and that the energy dependence of the triplet MLCT states are nearly identical to the 1MLCT states. The high‐spin (HS) state is found to cross the MLCT band near the equilibrium geometry of the MLCT states. These findings give additional support to the hypothesis of a fast singlet–triplet interconversion in the MLCT manifold, followed by a 3MLCT–HS (5T2) conversion accompanied by an elongation of the Fe? N distance.  相似文献

Novel 2‐(1‐substituted‐1H‐1,2,3‐triazol‐4‐yl)pyridine (pytl) ligands have been prepared by “click chemistry” and used in the preparation of heteroleptic complexes of Ru and Ir with bipyridine (bpy) and phenylpyridine (ppy) ligands, respectively, resulting in [Ru(bpy)2(pytl‐R)]Cl2 and [Ir(ppy)2(pytl‐R)]Cl (R=methyl, adamantane (ada), β‐cyclodextrin (βCD)). The two diastereoisomers of the Ir complex with the appended β‐cyclodextrin, [Ir(ppy)2(pytl‐βCD)]Cl, were separated. The [Ru(bpy)2(pytl‐R)]Cl2 (R=Me, ada or βCD) complexes have lower lifetimes and quantum yields than other polypyridine complexes. In contrast, the cyclometalated Ir complexes display rather long lifetimes and very high emission quantum yields. The emission quantum yield and lifetime (Φ=0.23, τ=1000 ns) of [Ir(ppy)2(pytl‐ada)]Cl are surprisingly enhanced in [Ir(ppy)2(pytl‐βCD)]Cl (Φ=0.54, τ=2800 ns). This behavior is unprecedented for a metal complex and is most likely due to its increased rigidity and protection from water molecules as well as from dioxygen quenching, because of the hydrophobic cavity of the βCD covalently attached to pytl. The emissive excited state is localized on these cyclometalating ligands, as underlined by the shift to the blue (450 nm) upon substitution with two electron‐withdrawing fluorine substituents on the phenyl unit. The significant differences between the quantum yields of the two separate diastereoisomers of [Ir(ppy)2(pytl‐βCD)]Cl (0.49 vs. 0.70) are attributed to different interactions of the chiral cyclodextrin substituent with the Δ and Λ isomers of the metal complex.  相似文献

The synergy of push–pull substitution and enlarged ligand bite angles has been used in functionalized heteroleptic bis(tridentate) polypyridine complexes of ruthenium(II) to shift the 1MLCT absorption and the 3MLCT emission to lower energy, enhance the emission quantum yield, and to prolong the 3MLCT excited‐state lifetime. In these complexes, that is, [Ru(ddpd)(EtOOC‐tpy)][PF6]2, [Ru(ddpd‐NH2)(EtOOC‐tpy)][PF6]2, [Ru(ddpd){(MeOOC)3‐tpy}][PF6]2, and [Ru(ddpd‐NH2){(EtOOC)3‐tpy}][PF6]2 the combination of the electron‐accepting 2,2′;6′,2′′‐terpyridine (tpy) ligand equipped with one or three COOR substituents with the electron‐donating N,N′‐dimethyl‐N,N′‐dipyridin‐2‐ylpyridine‐2,6‐diamine (ddpd) ligand decorated with none or one NH2 group enforces spatially separated and orthogonal frontier orbitals with a small HOMO–LUMO gap resulting in low‐energy 1MLCT and 3MLCT states. The extended bite angle of the ddpd ligand increases the ligand field splitting and pushes the deactivating 3MC state to higher energy. The properties of the new isomerically pure mixed ligand complexes have been studied by using electrochemistry, UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy, static and time‐resolved luminescence spectroscopy, and transient absorption spectroscopy. The experimental data were rationalized by using density functional calculations on differently charged species (charge n=0–4) and on triplet excited states (3MLCT and 3MC) as well as by time‐dependent density functional calculations (excited singlet states).  相似文献

A new family of trimetallic complexes of the form [(bpy)2M(phen‐Hbzim‐tpy)M′(tpy‐Hbzim‐phen)M(bpy)2]6+ (M=RuII, Os; M′=FeII, RuII, Os; bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine) derived from heteroditopic phenanthroline–terpyridine bridge 2‐{4‐[2,6‐di(pyridin‐2‐yl) pyridine‐4‐yl]phenyl}‐1H‐imidazole[4,5‐f][1,10]phenanthroline (phen‐Hbzim‐tpy) were prepared and fully characterized. Zn2+ was used to prepare mixed‐metal trimetallic complexes in situ by coordinating with the free tpy site of the monometallic precursors. The complexes show intense absorptions throughout the UV/Vis region and also exhibit luminescence at room temperature. The redox behavior of the compounds is characterized by several metal‐centered reversible oxidation and ligand‐centered reduction processes. Steady‐state and time‐resolved luminescence data show that the potentially luminescent RuII‐ and OsII‐based triplet metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (3MLCT) excited states in the triads are quantitatively quenched, most likely by intercomponent energy transfer to the lower lying 3MLCT (for Ru and Os) or triplet metalcentered (3MC) excited states of the FeII subunit (nonluminescent). Interestingly, iron did not adversely affect the photophysics of the respective systems. This suggests that the multicomponent molecular‐wire‐like complexes investigated here can behave as efficient light‐harvesting antennas, because all the light absorbed by the various subunits is efficiently channeled to the subunit(s) in which the lowest‐energy excited states are located.  相似文献

Photoactive metal complexes employing Earth‐abundant metal ions are a key to sustainable photophysical and photochemical applications. We exploit the effects of an inversion center and ligand non‐innocence to tune the luminescence and photochemistry of the excited state of the [CrN6] chromophore [Cr(tpe)2]3+ with close to octahedral symmetry (tpe=1,1,1‐tris(pyrid‐2‐yl)ethane). [Cr(tpe)2]3+ exhibits the longest luminescence lifetime (τ=4500 μs) reported up to date for a molecular polypyridyl chromium(III) complex together with a very high luminescence quantum yield of Φ=8.2 % at room temperature in fluid solution. Furthermore, the tpe ligands in [Cr(tpe)2]3+ are redox non‐innocent, leading to reversible reductive chemistry. The excited state redox potential and lifetime of [Cr(tpe)2]3+ surpass those of the classical photosensitizer [Ru(bpy)3]2+ (bpy=2,2′‐bipyridine) enabling energy transfer (to oxygen) and photoredox processes (with azulene and tri(n‐butyl)amine).  相似文献

New compounds [Ru(pap)2(L)](ClO4), [Ru(pap)(L)2], and [Ru(acac)2(L)] (pap=2‐phenylazopyridine, L?=9‐oxidophenalenone, acac?=2,4‐pentanedionate) have been prepared and studied regarding their electron‐transfer behavior, both experimentally and by using DFT calculations. [Ru(pap)2(L)](ClO4) and [Ru(acac)2(L)] were characterized by crystal‐structure analysis. Spectroelectrochemistry (EPR, UV/Vis/NIR), in conjunction with cyclic voltammetry, showed a wide range of about 2 V for the potential of the RuIII/II couple, which was in agreement with the very different characteristics of the strongly π‐accepting pap ligand and the σ‐donating acac? ligand. At the rather high potential of +1.35 V versus SCE, the oxidation of L? into L. could be deduced from the near‐IR absorption of [RuIII(pap)(L.)(L?)]2+. Other intense long‐wavelength transitions, including LMCT (L?→RuIII) and LL/CT (pap.?→L?) processes, were confirmed by TD‐DFT results. DFT calculations and EPR data for the paramagnetic intermediates allowed us to assess the spin densities, which revealed two cases with considerable contributions from L‐radical‐involving forms, that is, [RuIII(pap0)2(L?)]2+?[RuII(pap0)2(L.)]2+ and [RuIII(pap0)(L?)2]+?[RuII(pap0)(L?)(L?)]+. Calculations of electrogenerated complex [RuII(pap.?)(pap0)(L?)] displayed considerable negative spin density (?0.188) at the bridging metal.  相似文献

Based on the a ligand BDPPZ [(9a,13a‐dihydro‐4,5,9,14‐tetraaza‐benzo[b]triphenylene‐11‐yl)‐phenyl‐methanone] (1) and its polypyridyl hetero‐ and homoleptic Ru(II) metal complexes, [Ru(bpy)2L](PF6)2 (2), [Ru(phen)2L](PF6)2 (3), [Ru(dafo)2L](PF6)2 (4), [Ru(dcbpy)2L](PF6)2 (5) and [RuL3](PF6)2 (6) (where, L = ligand, bpy = 2,2′‐bipyridine, phen = 1,10‐phenantroline, dafo = 4,5‐diazafluoren‐9‐one and dcbpy = 3,3′‐dicarboxy‐2,2′‐bipyridine), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, UV–vis, FT‐IR, 1H and 13C‐NMR spectra (for ligand), molar conductivity measurements and X‐ray powder techniques. The electrochemical parameters of the substituted ligand and its polypyridyl hetero‐ and homoleptic Ru(II) metal complexes are reported by cyclic voltammetry. UV–vis spectroscopy is used to compare the differences between the conjugated π systems in this ligand and its Ru(II) metal complexes. The polypyridyl hetero‐ and homoleptic Ru(II) metal complexes also tested as catalysts for the formation of cyclic organic carbonates from carbon dioxide and liquid epoxides which served as both reactant and solvent. The results showed that the [Ru(L)3](PF6)2 (6) complex is more efficient than the other Ru(II) complexes for the formation of cyclic organic carbonates from carbon dioxide. The development of an efficient and stable artificial photosensitizer for visible‐light‐driven hydrogen production is highly desirable. Herein, a new series of charge‐neutral, heteroleptic tricyclometalated iridium(III) complexes, [Ir(thpy)2(bt)] ( 1 – 4 ; thpy=2,2′‐thienylpyridine, bt=2‐phenylbenzothiazole and its derivatives), were systematically synthesized and their structural, photophysical, and electrochemical properties were established. Three solid‐state structures were studied by X‐ray crystallographic analysis. This design offers the unique opportunity to drive the metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (MLCT) band to longer wavelengths for these iridium complexes. We describe new molecular platforms that are based on these neutral iridium complexes for the production of hydrogen through visible‐light‐induced photocatalysis over an extended period of time in the presence of [Co(bpy)3]2+ and triethanolamine (TEOA). The maximum amount of hydrogen was obtained under constant irradiation over 72 h and the system could regenerate its activity upon the addition of cobalt‐based catalysts when hydrogen evolution ceased. Our results demonstrated that the dissociation of the [Co(bpy)3]2+ catalyst contributed to the loss of catalytic activity and limited the long‐term catalytic performance of the systems. The properties of the neutral complexes are compared in detail to those of two known non‐neutral bpy‐type complexes, [Ir(thpy)2(dtb‐bpy)]+ ( 5 ) and [Ir(ppy)2(dtb‐bpy)]+ ( 6 ; ppy=2‐phenylpyridine, dtb‐bpy=4,4′‐di‐tert‐butyl‐2,2′‐dipyridyl). This work is expected to contribute toward the development of long‐lasting solar hydrogen‐production systems.  相似文献

Four polypyridyl bridging ligands BL1−4 containing open‐chain crown ether, where BL1−3 formed by the condensation of 4,5‐diazafluoren‐9‐oxime with diethylene glycol di‐p‐tosylate, triethylene glycol di‐p‐tosylate, and tetraethylene glycol di‐p‐tosylate, respectively. BL4 formed by the reaction of 4‐(1,10‐phenanthrolin‐5‐ylimino)methylphenol with triethylene glycol di‐p‐tosylate, have been synthesized. Reaction of Ru(bpy)2Cl2·2H2O with BL, respectively, afforded four bimetallic complexes [(bpy)2RuBL1−4Ru(bpy)2]4+ as [PF6] salts. Electrochemistry of these complexes is consistent with one RuII‐based oxidation and several ligand‐based reductions. These complexes show metal‐to‐ligand charge transfer absorption at 439‐452 nm and emission at 570‐597 nm.  相似文献
