In this paper, the electroluminescent properties of a new partially‐conjugated hyperbranched poly (p‐phenylene vinylene) (HPPV) were studied. The single layer light‐emitting device with HPPV as the emitting layer emits blue‐green light at 496 nm, with a luminance of 160 cd/m2 at 9 V, a turn‐on voltage of 4.3 V and an electroluminescent efficiency of 0.028 cd/A. By doping an electron‐transport material [2‐(4‐biphenylyl)‐5‐phenyl‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole, PBD] into the emitting layer and inserting a thin layer of tris(8‐hydroxy‐quinoline)aluminum (Alq3) as electron transporting/hole blocking layer for the devices, the electroluminescent efficiency of 1.42 cd/A and luminance of 1700 cd/m2 were achieved. The results demonstrate that the devices with the hyperbranched polymers as emitting material can achieve high efficiency through optimization of device structures. 1,3,4‐oxadiazole moieties were laterally linked to the phenyl rings via a short ? OCH2 spacer and a series of novel poly(p‐phenylenevinylene) derivatives have been successfully synthesized through Horner–Witting–Emmons coupling reaction. The structures and properties of the monomers and the resulting conjugated polymers were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscope, Fourier transform infrared, elemental analysis, gel permeation chromatography, thermogravimetric analysis, UV–vis absorption (UV) spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The UV spectra at solution state was similar to what's observed at film state while the PL spectra at film state had a red shift from 19 to 28 nm compared with the results at solution state, which implied that the unique bulky jacketed structure containing oxadiazole unit of these copolymers could effectively suppress π‐stacking/aggregation. LUMO levels of these polymers varied from ?3.44 to ?3.63 eV with increasing content of oxadiazole units, which facilitated electron injection. PLEDs with the configuration of ITO/PEDOT/Polymer/TPBI (15 nm)/LiF (1 nm)/Al (100 nm) were fabricated, which emit a yellowish green light around 540 and 570 nm with a maximum brightness of 1074.7 cd/m2 and luminous efficiency of 0.108 cd/A. The introduction of the unique bulky OXD unit into PPVs at a low molar content largely improved the electroluminescence properties of PPV. © Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Block copolymers containing thiophene units in one block and oxadiazole (OXD) units in the other were prepared. Atom transfer radical polymerization method was used to obtain the thiophene‐containing mesogen‐jacketed polymers, and the kinetic study indicated that the polymerization was controllable and the polymers could be used to initiate the polymerization of the OXD‐containing monomers. Photoluminescent spectra indicated that the fluorescence quantum yields of the polymers increased with increasing content of OXD. And, more OXD domains, that is, more interfaces between the hole‐transport parts and electron‐transport parts, resulting in the higher probability of exciplex formation. The electroluminescent devices containing the block copolymer with 64 mol % OXD as the emissive layer had a maximum brightness of 127 cd/m2 and an extremely low onset voltage of 7.7 V, which indicated that the injection and transport of charge carriers were facilitated and the number of charge carriers was sufficiently high in early time after the voltage was turned on. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A new hyperbranched ( P1 ) and linear copolyfluorene ( P2 ) were prepared from 2,4,7‐trifunctional (branching) and 2,7‐bifunctional fluorene monomer, respectively, by the Wittig reaction, followed with end‐capping by aromatic oxadiazole groups, to study the effect of hyperbranch structure. The weight‐average molecular weights (Mw) of P1 and P2 , determined by gel permeation chromatography using polystyrene as standard, were 33,000 and 25,700, respectively. The polymers were readily soluble in common organic solvents and exhibited good thermal stability (Td > 400 °C). Optical properties, both in solution and film state, were investigated using absorption and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. In film state, the absorption and PL spectra peaked at 401–425 nm and 480–495 nm, respectively. The P1 showed energy funnel effect and enhanced fluorescence efficiency owing to hyperbranched structure and terminal oxadiazole groups. The HOMO and LUMO levels of P1 ( P2) , estimated from cyclic voltammograms, are ?5.34 (?5.25) eV and ?2.94 (?2.94) eV, respectively. Two‐layer polymer light‐emitting diodes devices (ITO/PEDOT/ P1 /Ca/Al) exhibited maximal luminance and luminous efficiency of 3630 cd/m2 and 0.78 cd/A, respectively, which are superior to its linear counterpart P2 (598 cd/m2, 0.11 cd/A). © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Three random copolymers ( P1–P3 ) comprising phenylenevinylene and electron‐transporting aromatic 1,3,4‐oxadiazole segments (11, 18, 28 mol %, respectively) were prepared by Gilch polymerization to investigate the influence of oxadiazole content on their photophysical, electrochemical, and electroluminescent properties. For comparative study, homopolymer poly[2‐methoxy‐5‐(2′‐ethylhexyloxy)‐1,4‐p‐phenylenevinylene] ( P0 ) was also prepared by the same process. The polymers ( P0–P3 ) are soluble in common organic solvents and thermally stable up to 410 °C under a nitrogen atmosphere. Their optical properties were investigated by absorption and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The optical results reveal that the aromatic 1,3,4‐oxadiazole chromophores in P1–P3 suppress the intermolecular interactions. The HOMO and LUMO levels of these polymers were estimated from their cyclic voltammograms. The HOMO levels of P0–P3 are very similar (?5.02 to ?5.03 eV), whereas their LUMO levels decrease readily with increasing oxadiazole content (?2.7, ?3.08, ?3.11, and ?3.19 eV, respectively). Therefore, the electron affinity of the poly(p‐phenylenevinylene) chain can be gradually enhanced by incorporating 1,3,4‐oxadiazole segments. Among the polymers, P1 (11 mol % 1,3,4‐oxadiazole) shows the best EL performance (maximal luminance: 3490 cd/m2, maximal current efficiency: 0.1 cd/A). Further increase in oxadiazole content results in micro‐phase separation that leads to performance deterioration. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Two series of new copolyfluorenes ( PFTP, PFTT ) were prepared by the Suzuki coupling reaction from two green‐emitting dibromo monomers (TP‐Br, TT‐Br) based on triphenylamine unit to be applied in white light electroluminescent devices. They were characterized by molecular weight determination, elemental analysis, DSC, TGA, absorption and photoluminescence spectra, and cyclic voltammetry. The estimated actual contents of the TP and TT chromophores were lower than 7.8 mol % and 1.9 mol % for PFTP and PFTT , respectively. In film state both copolyfluorenes showed photoluminescence at 400–470 and 470–600 nm originated from fluorene segments and the chromophores, respectively, due to incomplete energy transfer. Light‐emitting diodes with a structure of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/copolymer/Ca(50 nm)/Al(100 nm) showed major emission at 493–525 nm, plus minor emission at 400–470 nm when chromophore contents were low. The maximum brightness and maximum current efficiency of PFTP2 device were 8370 cd/m2 and 1.47 cd/A, whereas those of PFTT1 device were 9440 cd/m2 and 1.77 cd/A, respectively. Tri‐wavelength white‐light emission was realized through blending PFTT1 with poly(9,9‐dihexylfluorene) and a red‐emitting iridium complex, in which the maximum brightness and CIE coordinates were 6880 cd/m2 and (0.31, 0.33), respectively. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of novel styrene derived monomers with triphenylamine‐based units, and their polymers have been synthesized and compared with the well‐known structure of polymer of N,N′‐bis(3‐methylphenyl)‐N,N′‐diphenylbenzidine with respect to their hole‐transporting behavior in phosphorescent polymer light‐emitting diodes (PLEDs). A vinyltriphenylamine structure was selected as a basic unit, functionalized at the para positions with the following side groups: diphenylamine, 3‐methylphenyl‐aniline, 1‐ and 2‐naphthylamine, carbazole, and phenothiazine. The polymers are used in PLEDs as host polymers for blend systems with the following device configuration: glass/indium–tin–oxide/PEDOT:PSS/polymer‐blend/CsF/Ca/Ag. In addition to the hole‐transporting host polymer, the polymer blend includes a phosphorescent dopant [Ir(Me‐ppy)3] and an electron‐transporting molecule (2‐(4‐biphenyl)‐5‐(4‐tert‐butylphenyl)‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole). We demonstrate that two polymers are excellent hole‐transporting matrix materials for these blend systems because of their good overall electroluminescent performances and their comparatively high glass transition temperatures. For the carbazole‐substituted polymer (Tg = 246 °C), a luminous efficiency of 35 cd A?1 and a brightness of 6700 cd m?2 at 10 V is accessible. The phenothiazine‐functionalized polymer (Tg = 220 °C) shows nearly the same outstanding PLED behavior. Hence, both these polymers outperform the well‐known polymer of N,N′‐bis(3‐methylphenyl)‐N,N′‐diphenylbenzidine, showing only a luminous efficiency of 7.9 cd A?1 and a brightness of 2500 cd m?2 (10 V). © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of conjugated hyperbranched polymers, hyperbranched copolymers, and linear polymers containing 2‐pyran‐4‐ylidenemalononitrile (acceptor) and triphenylamine/fluorene (donor) units were synthesized and characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR, thermogravimetric analyses, differential scanning calorimetry, gel permeation chromatography, UV–visible, photoluminescence, and cyclic voltammetry measurements. All the polymers show red‐light emission in the range of 566–656 nm both in solution and in solid state. The quantum efficiency of the polymers was in the range of 56–82%. Among the six polymers synthesized, only polymers containing fluorene units show Tg and polymers based on triphenylamine not exhibit Tg. The band gap of these polymers were found to be reasonably low; hyperbranched copolymer containing fluorene unit shows lowest band gap of 2.18 eV due to the stabilization of LUMO energy level by the electron withdrawing ? CN groups. The thermal and solubility behavior of the polymers were found to be good. All the EL spectra of the devices (indium‐tin oxide/poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)/polymer/2,9‐dimethyl‐4,7‐diphenyl‐1,10‐phenanthroline/tris(8‐hydroxyquinoline)aluminum)/LiF/Al) show red‐light emission, and the device fabricated with P3 and P4 shows maximum luminance and luminous efficiency of 4104 cd m?2 and 0.55 cd Å?1 and 3696 cd m?2 and 0.47 cd Å?1, respectively, indicates that they had the best carrier balance. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of phosphorus‐containing poly(1,3,4‐oxadiazole‐ester‐imide)s was prepared by polycondensation reaction of an aromatic dianhydride, namely 1,4‐[2‐(6‐oxido‐6H‐dibenz<c,e><1,2>oxaphosphorin‐6‐yl)]‐naphthalene‐bis(trimellitate)dianhydride, with different aromatic diamines containing 1,3,4‐oxadiazole ring. A solution imidization procedure was used to convert quantitatively the poly(amic acid) intermediates to the corresponding polyimides. The chemical structures of the monomers and polymers were confirmed by Fourier transform infrared, 1H NMR and 31P NMR spectroscopy. The polymers were easily soluble in polar solvents such as N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (NMP), N,N‐dimethylformamide and tetrahydrofuran. They exhibited good thermal properties having the decomposition temperature above 380°C and the glass transition temperature in the range of 201–232°C. Due to the presence of phosphorus the polymers gave high char yield in termogravimetric analysis, hence good flame retardant properties. Optical properties were analyzed in solution by using UV–vis and photoluminescence spectroscopy. Solutions of the polymers in NMP exhibited photoluminescence in the blue region. To study the influence of a blue‐emitting iridium complex pendant on the optoelectronic properties of its 2,7‐polyfluorene (PF) derivatives with the carbazole and oxadiazole pendants, a class of 2,7‐PF derivatives containing carbazole, oxadiazole, and/without the cyclometalated iridium complex pendants in the C‐9 positions of fluorene unit were synthesized. Their thermal, photophysical, electrochemical, and electroluminescent (EL) properties were investigated. Among these 2,7‐PF derivatives (P 1 –P 4 ), P 2 and P 3 exhibited higher photoluminescence efficiency in dichloromethane and better EL properties in the single‐emissive‐layer polymer light‐emitting devices. The highest brightness of 3888 cd/m2 and the maximum current efficiency of 2.9 cd/A were obtained in the P 2 ‐ and P 3 ‐based devices, respectively. The maximum brightness and efficiency levels were 1.7 and 2.1 times, respectively, higher than the corresponding levels from the parent 2,7‐PF derivative (P 1 )‐based devices. Our work indicated that EL properties of 2,7‐PF derivatives can be improved by introducing the blue‐emitting iridium complex into the alkyl side chain of fluorine unit as pendant. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Using a new aromatic 1,2,4‐triazole branching monomer (4.8–13.3 mol %), three hyperbranched polyfluorenes ( P2 – P4 ) were synthesized by the Suzuki coupling reaction to investigate the structural effect on optoelectronic properties. Poly(9,9‐dihexylfluorene) ( P1 ) was also prepared for comparative investigation. Their weight‐average molecular weights and polydispersity indices are in the range of 1.16 × 104 to 5.9 × 104 and 1.49–2.25, respectively. Optical properties, both in solution and film state, were investigated using absorption and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. In film state, the absorption and PL spectra peaked at 377–392 and 424–425 nm, respectively, blue‐shift with increasing triazole concentration. Furthermore, a linear relationship between 1/λmax,abs and 1/(1 ? ntriazole) is correlated (n: molar fraction), indicating a smooth decrease in conjugation length by incorporation of the branch unit. The P4 containing 13.3 mol % triazole reveals stable blue emission even at 150 °C (in air). The HOMO and LUMO levels of P2 – P4 , estimated from cyclic voltammograms, are ?5.69, ?5.73, ?5.78 eV and ?2.63, ?2.64, ?2.63 eV, respectively. The maximal brightness (current efficiency) of the electroluminescent devices (ITO/PEDOT:PSS/ P2 – P4 /Ca/Al) improves from 828 cd/m2 (0.19 cd/A) to 2054 cd/m2 (0.46 cd/A) with increasing triazole concentration. The results suggest that incorporation of aromatic 1,2,4‐triazole branch units is an effective way to improve annealing stability and EL performance of polyfluorenes. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Copolyfluorenes PFG1~PFG4 slightly doped with 0.006–0.5 mol % of 2,5‐dihexyloxy‐1,4‐bis(2‐phenyl‐2‐cyanovinyl)benzene (green chromophore) were synthesized by the Suzuki coupling reaction to be evaluated as hosts for white‐light electroluminescent (EL) devices. Their optical, thermal and electrochemical properties were almost identical to those of polyfluorene ( PF ) due to minimal chromophore content. However, the electroluminescent (EL) spectra of the PFGn were very different from photoluminescence spectra in film state. Relative intensity of green emission (ca. 521 nm) in EL spectra are much stronger than those in PL spectra, which can be attributed to charges trapping in the chromophores due to its narrow band gap (Eg ≈ 2.56 eV). The performance of EL devices [ITO/PEDOT:PSS/polymer/Ca (50 nm)/Al (100 nm)] were improved with an increase in chromophore content. The PFG4 device revealed the best performance (6790 cd/m2, 1.69 cd/A), and the PFG1 and PFG2 devices exhibited comparable intensity in blue and green emissions. Blend EL devices were fabricated by using the PFGn as the hosts and a red iridium complex [Ir(piq)2(acac)] as dopant. By controlling the amount of the iridium complex, the white‐light emitting device was achieved with PFG2 , with maximum brightness and CIE coordinate being 4120 cd/m2 and (0.31, 0.28), respectively. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. To simplify the fabrication of multilayer light‐emitting diodes, we prepared a p‐phenylenevinylene‐based polymer capped with crosslinkable styrene through a Wittig reaction. Insoluble poly(p‐phenylenevinylene) derivative (PPVD) films were prepared by a thermal treatment. The photoluminescence and ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) absorbance of crosslinked films and noncrosslinked films were studied. We also studied the solvent resistance of crosslinked PPV films with UV–vis absorption spectra and atomic force microscopy. Double‐layer devices using crosslinked PPVD as an emitting layer, 2‐(4‐tert‐butylphenyl)‐5‐phenyl‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole (PBD) in poly(methyl methacrylate) as an electron‐transporting layer, and calcium as a cathode were fabricated. A maximum luminance efficiency of 0.70 cd/A and a maximum brightness of 740 cd/m2 at 16 V were demonstrated. A 12‐fold improvement in the luminance efficiency with respect to that of single‐layer devices was realized. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. An assay was introduced to clarify influences on electroluminescent behavior for RGB‐colored phosphorescent terpolymers with N,N‐Di‐p‐tolyl‐aniline as hole‐transporting unit, 2‐(4‐biphenyl)‐5‐(4‐tert‐butylphenyl)‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole (tert‐BuPBD) as electron‐transporting unit, and different iridium complexes in RGB‐colors as triplet emitting materials. All monomers were attached with spacer moieties to the “para” position of a polystyrene. Polymer light emitting diodes (PLEDs) were built to study the electro‐optical behavior of these materials. The gist was a remarkable influence of hexyl‐spacer units to the PLED performance. For all three colors only very restricted PLED performances were found. In comparison RGB‐terpolymers were synthesized with directly attached charge transport materials to the polymer backbone. For this directly linked systems efficiencies were 28 cd A?1 @ 6 V (green), 4.9 cd A?1 @ 5 V (red) and 4.3 cd A?1 @ 6 V (bluish). In summary we assume that an improved charge percolation pathways regarding to the higher content of semiconducting molecules and an improved charge transfer to the phosphorescent dopand in the case of the copolymers without spacers are responsible for the better device performance comparing the copolymers with hexyl spacers. The approach of the directly connected charge transport materials at the nonconjugated styrene polymer backbone should be favored for further investigations, therefore. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Copolyfluorene PFC containing pendant crown ether moieties was prepared by the palladium‐catalyzed Suzuki coupling reaction. The photo‐physical and electrochemical properties were investigated by absorption, photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry to elucidate the influence of the crown ether groups. In film state, its PL spectra (peaked at 430 and 452 nm) show noticeable red‐shift relative to 423 and 448 nm of poly(9,9‐dihexylfluorene) ( PF ). Thermal annealing leads to appearance of new emission at about 520 nm which has been attributed to formation of excimer. The highest occupied molecular orbital and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital levels of PFC were estimated to be ?5.68 and ?2.65 eV which contributed to balanced charges injection. Double‐layer electroluminescent device using PFC as emitting layer (ITO/PEDOT:PSS/ PFC /Ca/Al) revealed maximum luminance (7910 cd/m2) and maximum luminance efficiency (2.3 cd/A) superior to those of PF device (860 cd/m2, 0.29 cd/A). Moreover, inserting a PFC layer between the PF emitting layer and calcium cathode led to reduced turn‐on voltage (4.1 V), much lower than 7.1 and 6.6 V of the double‐layer PFC and PF devices, respectively, and enhanced device performance (2800 cd/m2 and 0.53 cd/A). © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Three families of fluorene–oxadiazole‐based polymers with confinement moieties have successfully been prepared by the two‐step method for polyoxadiazole synthesis. These polymers show good solubility in common organic solvents, high thermal stability, and strong violet and blue photoluminescence in solution and as films, respectively. Their low‐lying highest occupied molecular orbital/lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy levels originate from the electron deficiency of an oxadiazole moiety, and this suggests that they may be useful for blue‐emitting and electron‐transport/hole‐blocking layers in electroluminescent devices. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A series of random copolymers POC10{Poly(2,5‐bis[(5‐decyloxy‐phenyl)‐1,3,4‐oxadiazole]styrene)}‐co‐Poly(N‐vinylcarbazole) (PVK) with different nvk content were synthesized through common radical polymerization and were incorporated into light emitting diodes as emitting layers. The structures and properties of the copolymers were characterized and evaluated by GPC, TGA, DSC, UV, PL, CV, and EL analyses. All the polymers enjoy high thermal stability. Cyclic voltammetry revealed that, with the incorporation of N‐vinylcarbazole to the copolymer, these copolymers had high‐lying HOMO energy values, which facilitated hole injection. PL peaks in the film show blue‐shift compared with those in solutions and fluorescent quantum efficiency decreased with the nvk content increasing, which supported the efficient energy transfer from nvk units to the oxadiazole units. Single‐layer LEDs with the configuration of ITO/PEDOT/PC10‐nvk/Mg:Ag/Ag were fabricated, which emit a blue light around 440 and 490 nm with a maximum brightness of 675.3 cd/m2 and luminous efficiency of 0.108 cd/A. Moreover, we fabricated electrophosphorescent device from bipolar transport copolymer PC10‐nvk4 as host material and an orange‐light‐emitting iridium phosphor IrMDPP as guest. The maximum luminous efficiency of 0.548 cd/A was obtained. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 46: 5452–5460, 2008  相似文献

A novel copoly(aryl ether) ( P1 ) consisting of alternate emitting segments (distyrylbenzene) and a bipolar moiety composed of directly linked electron‐transporting aromatic 1,2,4‐triazole and hole‐transporting triphenylamine was synthesized. The copoly(aryl ether) is readily soluble in common organic solvents and exhibit good thermal stability with thermal decomposition temperature above 450 °C. The emission and the photoluminescence quantum yield of the copolymer are dominated by the emitting segments (distyrylbenzene) with longer emissive wavelength. Electron affinity of P1 is evidently enhanced after introducing the isolated bipolar unit, as confirmed by the lowered lowest unoccupied molecular orbital level (–2.77 eV) relative to P0 without bipolar unit (–2.34 eV). This results in improved emission efficiency of its polymer light‐emitting diode (indium tin oxide/poly(3,4‐ethylene dioxythiophene):poly(styrene sulfonate)/ P1 /LiF/Ca/Al) due to more balanced charges injection and transport. Blending P1 with poly(9,9‐dihexylfluorene) ( PF ) further improves the efficiency of the device; the best performance was obtained for PF / P1 = 20/0.8 (w/w) with maximum luminance and maximum luminance efficiency being significantly enhanced to 3260 cd/m2 and 1.08 cd/A, respectively, from 380 cd/m2 and 0.009 cd/A of P1 ‐based device. These results demonstrate that the bipolar moiety can be used to enhance charges injection and transport of electroluminescent polymers. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Two new poly(p‐phenylene vinylene) derivatives OX1‐PPV and OX2‐PPV bearing two 1,3,4‐oxadiazole rings per repeat unit and a fully conjugated backbone with solubilizing dodecyloxy side groups were synthesized and investigated. The amorphous conjugated polymers had glass‐transition temperature values of 60–75 °C and emitted intense blue or greenish‐blue light in solution with photoluminescence (PL) emission maxima at 379–492 nm and PL quantum yields of 0.41–0.52. In the solid state they emitted yellowish‐green light with PL emission maxima at 533–555 nm. Cyclic voltammetry showed that both conjugated polymers had reversible reduction and irreversible oxidation, making them n‐type materials. The electron affinity of OX2‐PPV was estimated as 2.85 eV whereas that of OX1‐PPV was 2.75 eV. Yellow electroluminescence (EL) was achieved from single‐layer light‐emitting diodes of OX2‐PPV with an EL emission maximum at 555 nm and a brightness of 70 cd/m2. Nonconjugated bipolar transport polymers have been developed as host materials for electroluminescent devices by incorporating both electron‐transporting and hole‐transporting functionalities into copolymers. The random copolymer PCt‐nvk3‐7 containing mesogen‐jacketed segment of P‐Ct have been synthesized and characterized. The effect of mesogen‐jacketed segment content of these bipolar copolymers on device performance has been investigated. The results of polymer light‐emitting diodes (PLEDs) show that the jacketed content of copolymers has a significant effect on device performance: lowering charge transport and facilitating the hole‐electron recombination leads to much higher current efficiency. Applying these high triplet random copolymers as host, the maximum current efficiency of 0.70 cd/A and the maximum brightness of 1872.8 cd/m2 was achieved for PCt‐nvk3‐7 with an orange‐emitting complex dopant. The results suggest that the bipolar copolymers PCt‐nvks can be good host polymers for electrophosphorescent devices. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
