A right cone of a group G is a submonoid H of G so that for a, b ∈ H either aH ? bH or bH ? aH and G = {ab ?1 | a, b ∈ H}. Valuation rings, right chain rings, the cones of right ordered groups provide examples. It is proved, see Theorem 17, that a semi-invariant right cone H with d.c.c. for prime ideals satisfies Ha ? aH for all a ∈ H, that is H is right invariant. Essential is the following Theorem 9: Let H be a locally invariant right cone in G with d.c.c. for prime ideals, and let I ≠ H be an ideal in H. Then P l (I) ? P r (I) for the associated left and right prime ideals of I.  相似文献

Let R be a commutative ring with identity. Various generalizations of prime ideals have been studied. For example, a proper ideal I of R is weakly prime (resp., almost prime) if a, b ∈ R with ab ∈ I ? {0} (resp., ab ∈ I ? I 2) implies a ∈ I or b ∈ I. Let φ:?(R) → ?(R) ∪ {?} be a function where ?(R) is the set of ideals of R. We call a proper ideal I of R a φ-prime ideal if a, b ∈ R with ab ∈ I ? φ(I) implies a ∈ I or b ∈ I. So taking φ?(J) = ? (resp., φ0(J) = 0, φ2(J) = J 2), a φ?-prime ideal (resp., φ0-prime ideal, φ2-prime ideal) is a prime ideal (resp., weakly prime ideal, almost prime ideal). We show that φ-prime ideals enjoy analogs of many of the properties of prime ideals.  相似文献

Let (R, 𝔪) be a Cohen–Macaulay local ring of dimension d > 0, I an 𝔪-primary ideal of R, and K an ideal containing I. When r(I | K)<∞, we give a lower bound and an upper bound for f 1(I). Under the above assumption on r(I | K) and depth G(I) ≥ d ? 1, we also provide a characterization, in terms of f 1(I), of the condition depth F K (I) ≥ d ? 1.  相似文献

R is any ring with identity. Let Spec r (R) (resp. Max r (R), Prim r (R)) denote the set of all right prime ideals (resp. all maximal right ideals, all right primitive ideals) of R and let U r (eR) = {P ? Spec r (R)| e ? P}. Let  = ∪P?Prim r (R) Spec r P (R), where Spec r P (R) = {Q ?Spec r P (R)|P is the largest ideal contained in Q}. A ring is called right quasi-duo if every maximal right ideal is 2-sided. In this article, we study the properties of the weak Zariski topology on and the relationships among various ring-theoretic properties and topological conditions on it. Then the following results are obtained for any ring R: (1) R is right quasi-duo ring if and only if is a space with Zariski topology if and only if, for any Q ? , Q is irreducible as a right ideal in R. (2) For any clopen (i.e., closed and open) set U in ? = Max r (R) ∪  Prim r (R) (resp.  = Prim r (R)) there is an element e in R with e 2 ? e ? J(R) such that U = U r (eR) ∩  ? (resp. U = U r (eR) ∩  ), where J(R) is the Jacobson of R. (3) Max r (R) ∪  Prim r (R) is connected if and only if Max l (R) ∪  Prim l (R) is connected if and only if Prim r (R) is connected.  相似文献

In this article we utilise the notion of right waist and right comparizer to study the ideal theory of semigroups. We also consider which of the properties of right cones can be carried over to right P-comparable semigroups. We give sufficient and necessary conditions on the set of nilpotent elements of a semigroup to be an ideal, and we provide several equivalent characterizations for a right ideal being a right waist. In one of our main results we show that in a right P 1-comparable semigroup with left cancellation law, a prime segment P 2 ? P 1 is Archimedean, simple or exceptional. This extends a similar result pertaining to right cones.  相似文献

A weak Cayley table isomorphism is a bijection φ: G → H of groups such that φ(xy) ~ φ(x)φ(y) for all x, y ∈ G. Here ~denotes conjugacy. When G = H the set of all weak Cayley table isomorphisms φ: G → G forms a group 𝒲(G) that contains the automorphism group Aut(G) and the inverse map I: G → G, x → x ?1. Let 𝒲0(G) = ?Aut(G), I? ≤ 𝒲(G) and say that G has trivial weak Cayley table group if 𝒲(G) = 𝒲0(G). We show that all finite irreducible Coxeter groups (except possibly E 8) have trivial weak Cayley table group, as well as most alternating groups. We also consider some sporadic simple groups.  相似文献

Abstract

Let S be a numerical semigroup and let I be a relative ideal of S. Let S ? I denote the dual of I and let μ S (?) represent the size of a minimal generating set. We investigate the inequality μ S (I S (S ? I) ≥ μ S (I + (S ? I)) under the assumption that S has multiplicity 8. We will show that if I is non-principal, then the strict inequality μ S (I S (S ? I) > μ S (I + (S ? I)) always holds.  相似文献

Let R be a prime ring of characteristic different from 2, U its right Utumi quotient ring, C its extended centroid and L a not central Lie ideal of R. Suppose that F, G and H are generalized derivations of R, with F≠0, such that F(G(x)x?xH(x)) = 0, for any xL. In this paper we describe all possible forms of F, G and H.  相似文献

This article considers numerical semigroups S that have a nonprincipal relative ideal I such that μ S (I S (S ? I) = μ S (I + (S ? I)). We show the existence of an infinite family of such pairs (S, I) in which I + (S ? I) = S\{0}. We also show examples of such pairs that are not members of this family. We discuss the computational process used to find these examples and present some open questions pertaining to them.  相似文献

In this paper we make an attempt to study right loops (S, o) in which, for each y ∈ S, the map σ y from the inner mapping group G S of (S, o) to itself given by σ y (h)(x)o h(y) = h(xoy), x ∈ S, h ∈ G S is a homomorphism. The concept of twisted automorphisms of a right loop and also the concept of twisted right gyrogroup appears naturally and it turns out that the study is almost equivalent to the study of twisted automorphisms and a twisted right gyrogroup. We also study relationship between twisted gyrotransversals and twisted subgroups.  相似文献

Abstract

For an ideal I of a Noetherian local ring (R, m ) we consider properties of I and its powers as reflected in the fiber cone F(I) of I. In particular,we examine behavior of the fiber cone under homomorphic image R → R/J = R′ as related to analytic spread and generators for the kernel of the induced map on fiber cones ψ J  : F R (I) → F R(IR′). We consider the structure of fiber cones F(I) for which ker ψ J  ≠ 0 for each nonzero ideal J of R. If dim F(I) = d > 0,μ(I) = d + 1 and there exists a minimal reduction J of I generated by a regular sequence,we prove that if grade(G +(I)) ≥ d ? 1,then F(I) is Cohen-Macaulay and thus a hypersurface.  相似文献

Let A 1: = 𝕜[t, ?] be the first algebra over a field 𝕜 of characteristic zero. Let Aut𝕜(A 1) be the automorphism group of the ring A 1. One can associate to each right ideal I of A 1 a subgroup of Aut𝕜(A 1) called the isomorphism subgroup of I. In this article, we show that each such isomorphism subgroup is equal to its normalizer. For that, we study when the isomorphism subgroup of a right ideal of A 1 contains a given isomorphism subgroup.  相似文献

Let G be a finite graph on the vertex set [d] = {1,…, d} with the edges e 1,…, e n and K[t] = K[t 1,…, t d ] the polynomial ring in d variables over a field K. The edge ring of G is the semigroup ring K[G] which is generated by those monomials t e  = t i t j such that e = {i, j} is an edge of G. Let K[x] = K[x 1,…, x n ] be the polynomial ring in n variables over K, and define the surjective homomorphism π: K[x] → K[G] by setting π(x i ) = t e i for i = 1,…, n. The toric ideal I G of G is the kernel of π. It will be proved that, given integers f and d with 6 ≤ f ≤ d, there exists a finite connected nonbipartite graph G on [d] together with a reverse lexicographic order <rev on K[x] and a lexicographic order <lex on K[x] such that (i) K[G] is normal with Krull-dim K[G] = d, (ii) depth K[x]/in<rev (I G ) = f and K[x]/in<lex (I G ) is Cohen–Macaulay, where in<rev (I G ) (resp., in<lex (I G )) is the initial ideal of I G with respect to <rev (resp., <lex) and where depth K[x]/in<rev (I G ) is the depth of K[x]/in<rev (I G ).  相似文献
