ABSTRACT

Let F m (N) be the free left nilpotent (of class two) Leibniz algebra of finite rank m, with m ≥ 2. We show that F m (N) has non-tame automorphisms and, for m ≥ 3, the automorphism group of F m (N) is generated by the tame automorphisms and one more non-tame IA-automorphism. Let F(N) be the free left nilpotent Leibniz algebra of rank greater than 1 and let G be an arbitrary non-trivial finite subgroup of the automorphism group of F(N). We prove that the fixed point subalgebra F(N) G is not finitely generated.  相似文献

Let K be a field of characteristic zero. For a torsion-free finitely generated nilpotent group G, we naturally associate four finite dimensional nilpotent Lie algebras over K, ? K (G), grad(?)(? K (G)), grad(g)(exp ? K (G)), and L K (G). Let 𝔗 c be a torsion-free variety of nilpotent groups of class at most c. For a positive integer n, with n ≥ 2, let F n (𝔗 c ) be the relatively free group of rank n in 𝔗 c . We prove that ? K (F n (𝔗 c )) is relatively free in some variety of nilpotent Lie algebras, and ? K (F n (𝔗 c )) ? L K (F n (𝔗 c )) ? grad(?)(? K (F n (𝔗 c ))) ? grad(g)(exp ? K (F n (𝔗 c ))) as Lie algebras in a natural way. Furthermore, F n (𝔗 c ) is a Magnus nilpotent group. Let G 1 and G 2 be torsion-free finitely generated nilpotent groups which are quasi-isometric. We prove that if G 1 and G 2 are relatively free of finite rank, then they are isomorphic. Let L be a relatively free nilpotent Lie algebra over ? of finite rank freely generated by a set X. Give on L the structure of a group R, say, by means of the Baker–Campbell–Hausdorff formula, and let H be the subgroup of R generated by the set X. We show that H is relatively free in some variety of nilpotent groups; freely generated by the set X, H is Magnus and L ? ??(H) ? L ?(H) as Lie algebras. For relatively free residually torsion-free nilpotent groups, we prove that ? K and L K are isomorphic as Lie algebras. We also give an example of a finitely generated Magnus nilpotent group G, not relatively free, such that ??(G) is not isomorphic to L ?(G) as Lie algebras.  相似文献

In general, Sylow's Theorems do not hold for finite Moufang loops. It can be seen that if p is an odd prime then the Sylow p-subloops of the Chein loop M 2n (G, 2) are conjugate. Here we prove that it is also true that all the Sylow 2-subloops of M 2n (G, 2) are conjugate.  相似文献

In this paper, the authors study a class of generalized intersection matrix Lie algebras gim(Mn), and prove that its every finite-dimensional semisimple quotient is of type M(n, a, c, d). Particularly, any finite dimensional irreducible gim(Mn) module must be an irreducible module of Lie algebra of type M(n, a, c, d) and any finite dimensional irreducible module of Lie algebra of type M(n, a, c, d) must be an irreducible module of gim(Mn).  相似文献

Abstract

Let 𝕂 be a field of characteristic zero, and R be a G-graded 𝕂-algebra. We consider the algebra R ? E, then deduce its G × ?2-graded polynomial identities starting from the G-graded polynomial identities of R. As a consequence, we describe a basis for the ? n  × ?2-graded identities of the algebras M n (E). Moreover we give the graded cocharacter sequence of M 2(E), and show that M 2(E) is PI-equivalent to M 1,1(E) ? E. This fact is a particular case of a more general result obtained by Kemer.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The graded Lie algebra L associated to the Nottingham group with respect to its natural filtration is known to be a loop algebra of the first Witt algebra W 1 . The fact that the Schur multiplier of W 1 , in characteristic p > 3, is one-dimensional implies that L is not finitely presented. Consider the universal covering ? 1 of W 1 and the corresponding loop algebra M of ? 1 . In this paper we prove that M itself is finitely presented for p > 3. In characteristic p >  11 the algebra M turns out to be presented by two relations.  相似文献

Let B be a Galois algebra over a commutative ring R with Galois group G such that B H is a separable subalgebra of B for each subgroup H of G. Then it is shown that B satisfies the fundamental theorem if and only if B is one of the following three types: (1) B is an indecomposable commutative Galois algebra, (2) B = Re ⊕ R(1 ? e) where e and 1 ? e are minimal central idempotents in B, and (3) B is an indecomposable Galois algebra such that for each separable subalgebra A, V B (A) = ?∑ gG(A) J g , and the centers of A and B G(A) are the same where V B (A) is the commutator subring of A in B, J g  = {b ∈ B | bx = g(x)b for each x ∈ B} for a g ∈ G, and G(A) = {g ∈ G | g(a) = a for all a ∈ A}.  相似文献

Let (g,δ?) be a Lie bialgebra. Let (U?(g),Δ?) a quantization of (g,δ?) through Etingof-Kazhdan functor. We prove the existence of a L-morphism between the Lie algebra C(g)=Λ(g) and the tensor algebra (without unit) T+U=T+(U?(g)[−1]) with Lie algebra structure given by the Gerstenhaber bracket. When s is a twist for (g,δ), we deduce from the formality morphism the existence of a quantum twist F. When (g,δ,r) is a coboundary Lie bialgebra, we get the existence of a quantization R of r.  相似文献

We consider polynomial identities of group algebras over a field F of characteristic zero. We prove that any PI group algebra satisfies the same identities as a matrix algebra M n (F ), where n is the maximal degree of finite dimensional representations of the group over algebraic extensions of F.  相似文献

The semigroup of binary relations on {1,…, n} with the relative product is isomorphic to the semigroup B n of n × n zero-one matrices with the Boolean matrix product. Over any field F, we prove that the semigroup algebra FB n contains an ideal K n of dimension (2 n  ? 1)2, and we construct an explicit isomorphism of K n with the matrix algebra M 2 n ?1(F).  相似文献

Let (P,≤) be a partially ordered set. The poset Boolean algebra of P, denoted F(P), is defined as follows: The set of generators of F(P) is {x p  : pP}, and the set of relations is {x p x q =x p  : pq}. We say that a Boolean algebra B is well-generated, if B has a sublattice G such that G generates B and (G,≤ B |G) is well-founded. A well-generated algebra is superatomic. THEOREM 1. Let (P,≤) be a partially ordered set. The following are equivalent. (i) P does not contain an infinite set of pairwise incomparable elements, and P does not contain a subset isomorphic to the chain of rational numbers, (ii) F(P) is superatomic, (iii) F(P) is well-generated. The equivalence (i) ⇔ (ii) is due to M. Pouzet. A partially ordered set W is well-ordered, if W does not contain a strictly decreasing infinite sequence, and W does not contain an infinite set of pairwise incomparable elements. THEOREM 2. Let F(P) be a superatomic poset algebra. Then there are a well-ordered set W and a subalgebra B of F(W), such that F(P) is a homomorphic image of B. This is similar but weaker than the fact that every interval algebra of a scattered chain is embeddable in an ordinal algebra. Remember that an interval algebra is a special case of a poset algebra. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Let G be an abelian group and let R be a commutative ring with identity. Denote by R t G a commutative twisted group algebra (a commutative twisted group ring) of G over R, by ?(R) and ?(R t G) the nil radicals of R and R t G, respectively, by G p the p-component of G and by G 0 the torsion subgroup of G. We prove that:
  1. If R is a ring of prime characteristic p, the multiplicative group R* of R is p-divisible and ?(R) = 0, then there exists a twisted group algebra R t 1 (G/G p ) such that R t G/?(R t G) ? R t 1 (G/G p ) as R-algebras;

  2. If R is a ring of prime characterisitic p and R* is p-divisible, then ?(R t G) = 0 if and only if ?(R) = 0 and G p  = 1; and

  3. If B(R) = 0, the orders of the elements of G 0 are not zero divisors in R, H is any group and the commutative twisted group algebra R t G is isomorphic as R-algebra to some twisted group algebra R t 1 H, then R t G 0 ? R t 1 H 0 as R-algebras.

Suppose F is a field different from F2, the field with two elements. Let Mn(F) and Sn(F) be the space of n × n full matrices and the space of n ×n symmetric matrices over F, respectively. For any G1, G2 ∈ {Sn(F), Mn(F)}, we say that a linear map f from G1 to G2 is inverse-preserving if f(X)^-1 = f(X^-1) for every invertible X ∈ G1. Let L (G1, G2) denote the set of all inverse-preserving linear maps from G1 to G2. In this paper the sets .L(Sn(F),Mn(F)), L(Sn(F),Sn(F)), L (Mn(F),Mn(F)) and L(Mn (F), Sn (F)) are characterized.  相似文献

For a given group G and a homomorphism ?: G → G × G, we construct groups ??(G), 𝒯?(G), and 𝒱?(G) that blend Thompson's groups F, T, and V with G, respectively. Furthermore, we describe the lattice of normal subgroups of the groups ?Δ(G), where Δ: G → G × G is the diagonal homomorphism, Δ(g) = (g, g).  相似文献

Let be a full rank time-frequency lattice in ℝ d ×ℝ d . In this note we first prove that any dual Gabor frame pair for a Λ-shift invariant subspace M can be dilated to a dual Gabor frame pair for the whole space L 2(ℝ d ) when the volume v(Λ) of the lattice Λ satisfies the condition v(Λ)≤1, and to a dual Gabor Riesz basis pair for a Λ-shift invariant subspace containing M when v(Λ)>1. This generalizes the dilation result in Gabardo and Han (J. Fourier Anal. Appl. 7:419–433, [2001]) to both higher dimensions and dual subspace Gabor frame pairs. Secondly, for any fixed positive integer N, we investigate the problem whether any Bessel–Gabor family G(g,Λ) can be completed to a tight Gabor (multi-)frame G(g,Λ)∪(∪ j=1 N G(g j ,Λ)) for L 2(ℝ d ). We show that this is true whenever v(Λ)≤N. In particular, when v(Λ)≤1, any Bessel–Gabor system is a subset of a tight Gabor frame G(g,Λ)∪G(h,Λ) for L 2(ℝ d ). Related results for affine systems are also discussed. Communicated by Chris Heil.  相似文献

In this article, we consider the verbally prime algebras M n (F), M n (E) and M a,b (E) endowed with their gradings induced by that of Vasilovsky, and we compute their graded Gelfand--Kirillov dimensions.  相似文献

For a locally compact group G, L^1 (G) is its group algebra and L^∞(G) is the dual of L^1 (G).Lau has studied the bounded linear operators T:L^∞(G)→L^∞(G) which commute with convolutions and translations. For a subspace H of L^∞(G), we know that M(L^∞(G),H), the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators on L^∞(G) into H which commute with convolutions, has been studied by Pyre and Lau. In this paper, we generalize these problems to L(K)^*, the dual of a hypergroup algebra L(K) in a very general setting, i.e. we do not assume that K admits a Haar measure. It should be noted that these algebras include not only the group algebra L^1(G) but also most of the semigroup algebras.Compact hypergroups have a Haar measure, however, in general it is not known that every hypergroup has a Haar measure. The lack of the Haar measure and involution presents many difficulties; however,we succeed in getting some interesting results.  相似文献
