We introduce (continuous) partial category actions on sets (topological spaces) and show that each such action admits a universal globalization. Thereby, we obtain a simultaneous generalization of corresponding results for groups, by Abadie, and Kellendonk and Lawson, and for monoids, by Megrelishvili and Schröder. We apply this result to the special case of partial groupoid actions where we obtain a sharpening of a result by Gilbert, concerning ordered groupoids, in the sense that mediating functions between universal globalizations always are injective.  相似文献

The notion of Cayley color graphs of groups is generalized to inverse semigroups and groupoids. The set of partial automorphisms of the Cayley color graph of an inverse semigroup or a groupoid is isomorphic to the original inverse semigroup or groupoid. The groupoid of color permuting partial automorphisms of the Cayley color graph of a transitive groupoid is isomorphic to the original groupoid.  相似文献

Slim groupoids     
Slim groupoids are groupoids satisfying x(yz) ≈ xz. We find all simple slim groupoids and all minimal varieties of slim groupoids. Every slim groupoid can be embedded into a subdirectly irreducible slim groupoid. The variety of slim groupoids has the finite embeddability property, so that the word problem is solvable. We introduce the notion of a strongly nonfinitely based slim groupoid (such groupoids are inherently nonfinitely based) and find all strongly nonfinitely based slim groupoids with at most four elements; up to isomorphism, there are just two such groupoids. In this paper,some properties of reduction for symplectic F-spaces are discussed.The properties of stable subgroups are discussed.We find that the symplectic action of a symplectic groupoid on a symplectic manifold can induce a symplectic map between reduced symplectic manifolds.This symplectic action can be characterized by the action of its induced symplectic groupoid on a symplectic manifold.Lastly,we shall discuss Poisson reduction and give a Poisson reduction theorem.  相似文献

The notion of n-transitivity can be carried over from groups of diffeomorphisms on a manifold M to groups of bisections of a Lie groupoid over M. The main theorem states that the n-transitivity is fulfilled for all n ∈ N by an arbitrary group of Cr-bisections of a Lie groupoid Γ of class Cr, where 1 ≤ rω, under mild conditions. For instance, the group of all bisections of any Lie groupoid and the group of all Lagrangian bisections of any symplectic groupoid are n-transitive in the sense of this theorem. In particular, if Γ is source connected for any arrow γ ∈ Γ, there is a bisection passing through γ.  相似文献

We first introduce the notion of partial group twisted smash product and construct a Morita context for partial coaction of co-Frobenius Hopf group coalgebra relating generalized partial group smash product and partial coinvariants. Furthermore, we study group-Galois extensions and reobtain some classical results in the partial case. Finally, we prove that any partial group Galois extension induces a unique partial group entwining map compatible with the partial right coaction.  相似文献

We present a new approach to the amenability of groupoids (both in the measure theoretical and the topological setups) based on using Markov operators. We introduce the notion of an invariant Markov operator on a groupoid and show that the Liouville property (absence of non-trivial bounded harmonic functions) for such an operator implies amenability of the groupoid. Moreover, the groupoid action on the Poisson boundary of any invariant operator is always amenable. This approach subsumes as particular cases numerous earlier results on amenability for groups, actions, equivalence relations and foliations. For instance, we establish in a unified way topological amenability of the boundary action for isometry groups of Gromov hyperbolic spaces, Riemannian symmetric spaces and affine buildings. In this paper, we introduce a generalized Hopf Galois theory for regular multiplier Hopf algebras with integrals, which might be viewed as a generalization of the Hopf Galois theory of finite-dimensional Hopf algebras. We introduce the notion of a coaction of a multiplier Hopf algebra on an algebra. We show that there is a duality for actions and coactions of multiplier Hopf algebras with integrals. In order to study the Galois (co)action of a multiplier Hopf algebra with an integral, we construct a Morita context connecting the smash product and the coinvariants. A Galois (co)action can be characterized by certain surjectivity of a canonical map in the Morita context. Finally, we apply the Morita theory to obtain the duality theorems for actions and coactions of a co-Frobenius Hopf algebra.  相似文献

We introduce a concept of implication groupoid which is an essential generalization of the implication reduct of intuitionistic logic, i.e. a Hilbert algebra. In this paper, a special kind of partial algebras called projective partial groupoids is defined.It is proved that the inverse image of all projections of a fundamental weak regular ^*-semigroup under the homomorphism induced by the maximum idempotent-separating congruence of a weak regular ^*-semigroup has a projective partial groupoid structure. Moreover, a weak regular ^*-product which connects a fundamental weak regular ^*-semigroup with corresponding projective partial groupoid is defined and characterized. It is finally proved that every weak regular ^*-product is in fact a weak regular ^*-semigroup and any weak regular ^*-semigroup is constructed in this way.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to introduce a notion of quantum groupoid, non-commutative analogue of Lie groupoids. This notion generalizes simultaneously the notion of a Hopf bigebroid [Mal] (corresponding to a quantum groupoid with commutative space of units) and the notion of a braided quantum group of Majid [Maj]. The commutativity hypothesis of the base in [Mal] is no more necessary and a construction of L. Vainerman [V] enters in this frame.  相似文献

A global action is the algebraic analogue of a topological manifold. This construction was introduced in first place by A. Bak as a combinatorial approach to K-Theory and the concept was later generalized by Bak, Brown, Minian and Porter to the notion of groupoid atlas. In this paper we define and investigate homotopy invariants of global actions and groupoid atlases, such as the strong fundamental groupoid, the weak and strong nerves, classifying spaces and homology groups. We relate all these new invariants to classical constructions in topological spaces, simplicial complexes and simplicial sets. This way we obtain new combinatorial formulations of classical and non classical results in terms of groupoid atlases.   相似文献

A groupoid is a small category in which all morphisms are isomorphisms. An inductive groupoid is a specialized groupoid whose object set is a regular biordered set and the morphisms admit a partial order. A normal category is a specialized small category whose object set is a strict preorder and the morphisms admit a factorization property. A pair of ‘related’ normal categories constitutes a cross-connection. Both inductive groupoids and cross-connections were identified by Nambooripad as categorical models of regular semigroups. We explore the inter-relationship between these seemingly different categorical structures and prove a direct category equivalence between the category of inductive groupoids and the category of cross-connections.  相似文献

A notion of an irreducible representation, as well as of a square integrable representation on an arbitrary locally compact groupoid, is introduced. A generalization of a version of Schur's lemma on a locally compact groupoid is given. This is used in order to extend some well-known results from locally compact groups to the case of locally compact groupoids. Indeed, we have proved that if L is a continuous irreducible representation of a compact groupoid G defined by a continuous Hilbert bundle H = (Hu)u∈G^0, then each Hu is finite dimensional. It is also shown that if L is an irreducible representation of a principal locally compact groupoid defined by a Hilbert bundle (G^0, (Hu),μ), then dimHu = 1 (u ∈ G^0). Furthermore it is proved that every square integrable representation of a locally compact groupoid is unitary equivalent to a subrepresentation of the left regular representation. Furthermore, for r-discrete groupoids, it is shown that every irreducible subrepresentation of the left regular representation is square integrable.  相似文献

We study non-abelian differentiable gerbes over stacks using the theory of Lie groupoids. More precisely, we develop the theory of connections on Lie groupoid G-extensions, which we call “connections on gerbes”, and study the induced connections on various associated bundles. We also prove analogues of the Bianchi identities. In particular, we develop a cohomology theory which measures the existence of connections and curvings for G-gerbes over stacks. We also introduce G-central extensions of groupoids, generalizing the standard groupoid S1-central extensions. As an example, we apply our theory to study the differential geometry of G-gerbes over a manifold.  相似文献
