Generalized Stable Exchange Rings

In this paper, we investigate diagonal reductions of matrices over generalized stable exchange rings. Pseudop olarity of Generalized Matrix Rings over a Lo cal Ring

Pseudopolar rings are closely related to strongly π-regular rings, uniquely strongly clean rings and semiregular rings. In this paper, we investigate pseudopolarity of generalized matrix rings K s(R) over a local ring R. We determine the conditions under which elements of K s(R) are pseudopolar. Assume that R is a local ring. It is shown that A ∈ K s(R) is pseudopolar if and only if A is invertible or A2∈ J(K s(R)) or A is similar to a diagonal matrix[u 00 j], where l u-r j and l j-r u are injective and u ∈ U(R) and j ∈ J(R). Furthermore, several equivalent conditions for K s(R)over a local ring R to be pseudopolar are obtained.     

Elementary matrix reduction over certain rings

We explore elementary matrix reduction over certain rings characterized by properties related to stable range. Let R be a commutative ring. We call R locally stable if aR+bR = R??x∈R such that R∕(a+bx)R has stable range 1. We study locally stable rings and prove that every locally stable Bézout ring is an elementary divisor ring. Many known results on domains are thereby generalized.

Generalized Stable Regular Rings

Abstract

In this paper we show that a regular ring R is a generalized stable ring if and only if for every x ∈ R, there exist a w ∈ K(R) and a group G in R such that wx ∈ G. Also we show that if R is a generalized stable regular ring, then for any A ∈ M _n (R), there exist right invertible matrices U ₁, U ₂ ∈ M _n (R) and left invertible matrices V ₁, V ₂ ∈ M _n (R) such that U ₁ V ₁ AU ₂ V ₂ = diag(e ₁,…, e _n ) for some idempotents e ₁,…, e _n  ∈ R.

Structures and Representations of Generalized Path Algebras

It is shown that an algebra Λ can be lifted with nilpotent Jacobson radical r = r(Λ) and has a generalized matrix unit {e _ii } _I with each ē _ii in the center of if Λ is isomorphic to a generalized path algebra with weak relations. Representations of the generalized path algebras are given. As a corollary, Λ is a finite algebra with non-zero unity element over a perfect field k (e.g., a field with characteristic zero or a finite field) if Λ is isomorphic to a generalized path algebra k (D, Ω, ρ) of finite directed graph with weak relations and dim < ∞; Λ is a generalized elementary algebra which can be lifted with nilpotent Jacobson radical and has a complete set of pairwise orthogonal idempotents if Λ is isomorphic to a path algebra with relations.
