Yb3+-Tm3+ co-doped up-conversion powder phosphors using Zn(AlxGa1-x)2O4 (ZAGO) as the host materials were synthesized via solid-state reaction successfully. In addition, the morphology, structural characterization and up-conversion luminescent properties were all investigated by scanning electron microscope (SEM), x-ray diffraction (XRD) and fluorescence spectrophotometer (F-7000), respectively. Under the excitation of a 980 nm laser, all as-prepared powders can carry out blue emission at about 477 nm (corresponding to 1G4 → 3H6 transition of Tm3+ ions), and red emission at about 691 nm (attributed to 3F3 → 3H6 transition of Tm3+ ions). Also, the influence of doping Al3+ ions were investigated. In brief, the doping of Al3+ ions has no effect on the position of emission peak. Howbeit the up-conversion efficiency and intensity of ZAGO:Yb,Tm phosphors are stronger than ZGO:Yb,Tm and ZAO:Yb,Tm phosphors, while the crystallinity is the opposite. More particularly, all as-prepared powder phosphors emit strong luminescence, which is observable by the naked eye, demonstrating the potential applications in luminous paint, luminescent dye, etc.  相似文献

The high efficient antireflective down-conversion Y2O3:Bi, Yb films have been prepared successfully on Si(100) substrates by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method, Upon excitation of ultraviolet photon varying from 300 to 400 nm, near-infrared emission of Yb3+ was observed for the film, can be efficiently absorbed by silicon (Si) solar cell. Most interestingly, there is a very low average reflectivity 1.46% for the incident light from 300 to 1100 nm. To the best of our knowledge, this is the lowest reflectance for the down-conversion thin films prepared by cost efficient method. The surface topography of the high efficient antireflective films can be controllably tuned through the substrate template regulation by optimizing process parameters. Besides, the results showed that there is a close relationship between luminescent property and morphology of the film. With the change of the surface morphology, the intensity of Bi3+ and Yb3+ emission peaks increase first and then decrease. The obtained results demonstrate that this film can enhance the Si solar cell efficiency through light trapping and spectrum shifting.  相似文献

In this paper we study the possibility of using the synthesized nanopowder samples of Gd2Zr2O7:Eu3+ for temperature measurements by analyzing the temperature effects on its photoluminescence. The nanopowder was prepared by solution combustion synthesis method. The photoluminescence spectra used for analysis of Gd2Zr2O7:Eu3+ nano phosphor optical emission temperature dependence were acquired using continuous laser diode excitation at 405 nm. The temperature dependencies of line emission intensities of transitions from 5D0 and 5D1 energy levels to the ground state were analyzed. Based on this analysis we use the two lines intensity ratio method for temperature sensing. Our results show that the synthesized material can be efficiently used as thermographic phosphor up to 650 K.  相似文献

Both fluorescent and magnetic nanoprobes have great potential applications for diagnostics and therapy. In the present work, a folic acid-conjugated and silica-modified GdPO4:Tb3+ (GdPO4:Tb3+@SiO2-FA) dual nanoprobe was strategically designed and synthesized for the targeted dual-modality optical and magnetic resonance (MR) imaging via a facile aqueous method. Their structural, optical, and magnetic properties were determined using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), ultraviolet-visible spectra (UV-Vis), photoluminescence (PL), and superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID). These results indicated that GdPO4:Tb3+@SiO2-FA were uniform monodisperse core-shell structured nanorods (NRs) with an average length of ~200 nm and an average width of ~25 nm. The paramagnetic property of the synthesized GdPO4:Tb3+@SiO2-FA NRs was confirmed with its linear hysteresis plot (M-H). In addition, the NRs displayed an obvious T1-weighted effect and thus it could potentially serve as a T1-positive contrast agent. The NRs emitted green lights due to the 5D4 → 7F5 transition of the Tb3+. The in vitro assays with NCI-H460 lung cancer cells and human embryonic kidney cell line 293T cells indicated that the GdPO4:Tb3+@SiO2-FA nanoprobe could specifically bind the cells bearing folate receptors (FR). The MTT assay of the NRs revealed that its cytotoxicity was very low. Further in vivo MRI experiments distinctively depict enhanced anatomical features in a xenograft tumor. These results suggest that the GdPO4:Tb3+@SiO2-FA NPs have excellent imaging and cell-targeting abilities for the folate receptor-targeted dual-modality optical and MR imaging and can be potentially used as the nanoprobe for bioimaging.  相似文献

Undoped and Eu3+ doped BaTa2O6 phosphors were synthesized via solid state reaction method and characterized by using XRD, SEM-EDS and photoluminescence (PL) analyses. The XRD results revealed that the crystal structure of BaTa2O6 allowed up to 10 mol% levels of Eu3+ ions due to the TTB characteristic network of adjacent octahedrals. SEM-EDS analyses confirmed the formation of BaTa2O6 structure and EuTaO4 secondary phase. BaTa2O6:Eu3+ phosphors exhibited orange and red emissions at 592.2 nm and 615.7 nm in the visible region respectively. The Commission Internationale d’Eclairage (CIE) chromaticity coordinates of the BaTa2O6:Eu3+ phosphors that excited at λ ex = 400 nm ranged from orangish-red to pinkish-red depending on increasing Eu3+ concentration.  相似文献

Undoped and PbNb2O6:Eu3+ (1.0 ≤ x ≤ 6.0 mol%) phosphors were synthesized at 1100 °C for 3.5 h by the conventional solid state reaction method. Synthesized PbNb2O6:Eu3+ phosphors were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and Photoluminescence (PL) analyses. The PL spectra showed series of excitation peaks between 350 and 430 nm due to the 4f–4f transitions of Eu3+. For 395.0 nm excitation, emission spectra of Eu3+ doped samples were observed at 591 nm (orange) and 614 nm (red) due to the 5D0 → 7F1 transitions and 5D0 → 7F2 transitions, respectively. PL analysis results also showed that the emission intensity increased by increasing Eu3+ ion content. No concentration quenching effect was observed. The CIE chromaticity color coordinates (x,y) of the PbNb2O6:Eu3+ phosphors were found to be in the red region of the chromaticity diagram.  相似文献

YAlO3: Sm3+ phosphor has been synthesized by the solid state reaction method with calcium flouride used as a flux. The resulting YAlO3: Sm3+ phosphor was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique, Fourier transmission infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), photoluminescence . . PL excitation spectrum was found at 254,332,380,400,407, 603 and 713 nm. Under excitation of UV(713 nm) YAlO3: Sm3+ (0–3 %) broad band emission were observed from 400 to 790 nm with a maximum around 713 nm of YAlO3 host lattice accompanied by weak emission of Sm3+ (4G5/26H5/2, 6H7/2,6H9/2) transitions. The results of the XRD show that obtained YAlO3: Sm3+ phosphor has a orthorhombic structure. The study suggested that Sm3+ doped phosphors are potential luminescence material for laser diode pumping and inorganic scintillators.  相似文献

YVO4:Yb3+,Er3+; YVO4:Yb3+,Tm3+; and YVO4:Yb3+,Er3+,Tm3+ were all synthesized via sol-gel method with a subsequent thermal treatment. Specifically, YVO4:Yb3+,Er3+,Tm3+ phosphors were prepared with different annealing temperatures to study the influence of temperature. The transmission electron microscope (TEM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), X-ray diffractometer (XRD), and photoluminescent (PL) spectrofluorometer were used to investigate the morphology, crystal structure, and up-conversion luminescent properties of all samples. In summary, all samples were granular-like nanoparticles and well crystallized with the same tetragonal phase as YVO4. Under the irradiation at 980 nm, YVO4:Yb3+,Er3+ phosphors can generate green emission at 525 and 553 nm and red emission at 657 nm, while YVO4:Yb3+,Tm3+ phosphors can generate blue emission at 476 nm, red emission at 648 nm, and near-infrared emission at 800 nm. Notably, YVO4:Yb3+,Er3+,Tm3+ samples can exhibit green emission, blue emission, red emission, and near-infrared emission at the same time, which might endow the as-prepared samples with potential applications in many fields, such as luminous paint, infrared detection, and biological label.  相似文献

Biocompatible upconversion nanoparticles with multifunctional properties can serve as potential nanoprobes for multimodal imaging. Herein, we report an upconversion nanocrystal based on lanthanum fluoride which is developed to address the imaging modalities, upconversion luminescence imaging and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Lanthanide ions (Yb3+ and Ho3+) doped LaF3 nanocrystals (LaF3 Yb3+/Ho3+) are fabricated through a rapid microwave-assisted synthesis. The hexagonal phase LaF3 nanocrystals exhibit nearly spherical morphology with average diameter of 9.8 nm. The inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) analysis estimated the doping concentration of Yb3+ and Ho3+ as 3.99 and 0.41%, respectively. The nanocrystals show upconversion luminescence when irradiated with near-infrared (NIR) photons of wavelength 980 nm. The emission spectrum consists of bands centred at 542, 645 and 658 nm. The stronger green emission at 542 nm and the weak red emissions at 645 and 658 nm are assigned to 5S2 → 5I8 and 5F5 → 5I8 transitions of Ho3+, respectively. The pump power dependence of luminescence intensity confirmed the two-photon upconversion process. The nanocrystals exhibit paramagnetism due to the presence of lanthanide ion dopant Ho3+ and the magnetization is 19.81 emu/g at room temperature. The nanocrystals exhibit a longitudinal relaxivity (r 1) of 0.12 s?1 mM?1 and transverse relaxivity (r 2) of 28.18 s?1 mM?1, which makes the system suitable for developing T2 MRI contrast agents based on holmium. The LaF3 Yb3+/Ho3+ nanocrystals are surface modified by PEGylation to improve biocompatibility and enhance further functionalisation. The PEGylated nanocrystals are found to be non-toxic up to 50 μg/mL for 48 h of incubation, which is confirmed by the MTT assay as well as morphological studies in HeLa cells. The upconversion luminescence and magnetism together with biocompatibility enables the adaptability of the present system as a nanoprobe for potential bimodal imaging.  相似文献

Undoped and different concentration Nd3+ doped SrNb2O6 powders with columbite structure were synthesized by molten salt process using a mixture of strontium nitrate and niobium (V) oxide and NaCl-KCl salt mixture as a flux under relatively low calcining temperature. X-ray diffraction analysis results indicated that SrNb2O6 phases found to be orthorhombic columbite single phase for undoped, 0.5 and 3 mol% Nd3+ doping concentrations. Phase composition of the powders was examined by SEM-EDS analyses. Radioluminescence properties of Nd3+ doped samples from UV to near-IR spectral region were studied. The emissions increased with the doping concentration of up to 3 mol%, and then decreased due to concentration quenching effect. There is a sharp emission peak around 880 nm associated with 4F5/2 → 4I9/2 transition in the Nd3+ ion between 300 and 1100 nm. The broad emission band intensity was observed from 400 to 650 nm where the peak intensities increased by increasing Nd3+ doping concentration. All the measurements were taken under the room temperature.  相似文献

Composite material based on a TiO2 matrix doped with Sm3+ ions and co-doped with silver was investigated. Samarium ions together with nano- and micro-aggregates of silver were incorporated into the titanium alkoxide during the sol-gel process. Samarium ions were excited either directly (λ exc = 488 nm) or through the TiO2 host (λ exc = 355 nm). It was revealed that samarium fluorescence (λ exc = 488 nm) in gelled TiO2 films is enhanced by up to 20 times in the vicinity of silver inclusions. Sensitizing and plasmonic mechanisms of enhancement in Sm3+ fluorescence are discussed.  相似文献

This report discusses the preparation and microstructure of Co/Ni co-doped MgGa2O4 nanoparticles. The nanoparticles with the size of 20–55 nm were synthesized by sol-gel method. The phase and crystallinity were confirmed by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) pattern. The particle size was estimated according to XRD data and transmission electron microscopy. The electronic structure was studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The XPS studies showed that Ga3+ ions possess tetrahedral and octahedral sites of spinel structure and the inverse degree (two times of the fraction of tetrahedral Ga3+ ions) has increased with the increase of the doping concentration of Co2+ and Ni2+ ions. For Co/Ni co-doped MgGa2O4, two broad absorption bands of 350~500 and 550~700 nm were observed in the absorption spectra. The broad band at 350~500 nm was assigned to the combination of the absorption of octahedral Co2+ and Ni2+ ions, whereas the absorption band at 550~700 nm is mainly due to tetrahedrally coordinated Co2+ ions and octahedrally coordinated Ni2+ ions.  相似文献

Rare earth elements (RE = Eu3+& Dy3+)and Bi3+ doped Y2O3 nanoparticles were synthesized by urea hydrolysis method in ethylene glycol, which acts as reaction medium as well as a capping agent, at a low temperature of 140 °C,followed by calcination of the obtained product. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) images reveals that ovoid shaped Y2O3 nanoparticles of around 22–24 nm size range were obtained in this method. The respective RE and Bi3+ doped Y2O3 precursor nanoparticles when heated at 600 and 750 °C, retains the same shape as that of the as-synthesized Y2O3 precursor samples. From EDAX spectra, the incorporation of RE ions into the host has been studied. XRD pattern reveals the crystalline nature of the heated nanoparticles and indicate the absence of any impurity phase other than cubic Y2O3.However, the as-synthesized nanoparticles were highly amorphous without the presence of any sharp XRD peaks. Photoluminescence study suggests that the synthesized samples could be used as red (Eu3+), yellow (Dy3+), blue and green (Bi3+)emitting phosphors.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline Li2TiO3 was successfully synthesized using solid-state reaction method. The microstructural and electrochemical properties of the prepared material are systematically characterized. The X-ray diffraction pattern of the prepared material exhibits predominant (002) orientation related to the monoclinic structure with C2/c space group. HRTEM images and SAED analysis reveal the well-developed nanostructured particles with average size of ~40 nm. The electrochemical properties of the prepared sample are carried out using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and chronopotentiometry (CP) using Pt//Li2TiO3 cell in 1 mol L?1 Li2SO4 aqueous electrolyte. The Li2TiO3 electrode exhibits a specific discharge capacity of 122 mAh g?1; it can be used as anode in Li battery within the potential window 0.0–1.0 V, while investigated as a supercapacitor electrode, it delivers a specific capacitance of 317 F g?1 at a current density of 1 mA g?1 within the potential range ?0.4 to +0.4 V. The demonstration of both anodic and supercapacitor behavior concludes that the nanocrystalline Li2TiO3 is a suitable electrode material for supercapattery application.  相似文献

Photoluminescence studies of pure and Dy3+, Eu3+ doped Sr2CeO4 compounds are presented by oxalate precipitation method for solid state lighting. The prepared samples also characterized by XRD, SEM (EDS) and FTIR spectroscopy. The pure Sr2CeO4 compound displays a broad band in its emission spectrum when excited with 280 nm wavelength, which peaks centered at 488 nm, which is due to the energy transfer between the molecular orbital of the ligand and charge transfer state of the Ce4+ ions. Emission spectra of Sr2CeO4 with different concentration of Dy3+ ions under near UV radiation excitation, shows that intensity of luminescence spectra is found to be affected by Dy3+ ions, and it increases with adding some percentages of Dy3+ ions. The maximum doping concentration for quenching is found to be Dy3+?=?0.2 mol % to Sr2+ions. The observed broad spectrum from 400 to 560 nm is mainly due to CT transitions in Sr2CeO4 matrix and some fractional contribution of transitions between 4F9/26H15/2 of Dy3+ ions. Secondly the effect of Eu3+ doping at the Sr2+ site in Sr2CeO4, have been studied. The results obtained by doping Eu3+ concentrations (0.2 mol% to 1.5 mol%), the observed excitation and emission spectra reveal excellent energy transfer between Ce4+ and Eu3+. The phenomena of concentration quenching are explained on the basis of electron phonon coupling and multipolar interaction. This energy transfer generates white light with a color tuning from blue to red, the tuning being dependent on the Eu3+ concentration. The results establish that the compound Sr2CeO4 with Eu3+?=?1 mol% is an efficient “single host lattice” for the generation of white lights under near UV-LED and blue LED irradiation. The commission internationale de I’Eclairage (CIE) coordinates were calculated by Spectrophotometric method using the spectral energy distribution of prepared phosphors.  相似文献

The 225Ac radioisotope exhibits very attractive nuclear properties for application in radionuclide therapy. Unfortunately, the major challenge for radioconjugates labelled with 225Ac is that traditional chelating moieties are unable to sequester the radioactive daughters in the bioconjugate which is critical to minimize toxicity to healthy, non-targeted tissues. In the present work, we propose to apply TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) as carrier for 225Ac and its decay products. The surface of TiO2 nanoparticles with 25 nm diameter was modified with Substance P (5-11), a peptide fragment which targets NK1 receptors on the glioma cells, through the silan-PEG-NHS linker. Nanoparticles functionalized with Substance P (5-11) were synthesized with high yield in a two-step procedure, and the products were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The obtained results show that one TiO2-bioconjugate nanoparticle contains in average 80 peptide molecules on its surface. The synthesized TiO2-PEG-SP(5-11) conjugates were labelled with 225Ac by ion-exchange reaction on hydroxyl (OH) functional groups on the TiO2 surface. The labelled bioconjugates almost quantitatively retain 225Ac in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS), physiological salt and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) for up to 10 days. The leaching of 221Fr, a first decay daughter of 225Ac, in an amount of 30% was observed only in CSF after 10 days. The synthesized 225Ac-TiO2-PEG-SP(5-11) has shown high cytotoxic effect in vitro in T98G glioma cells; therefore, it is a promising new radioconjugate for targeted radionuclide therapy of brain tumours.  相似文献

In the present work, we demonstrate the fabrication technique of highly translucent layers of nanoparticulated (~50 nm) LuPO4:Eu phosphor, present their basic luminescent properties and give results of their performance in a planar imaging system coupled to a CMOS photodetector. For comparison, the imaging performance of an opaque Gd2O2S:Eu phosphor screen prepared by sedimentation is also shown. The X-ray detection parameters as well as the luminescence efficiency of the investigated films were discussed. Results show that the in-line transmittance at ~600–700 nm, in the range of the phosphor luminescence, varies with respect to the thickness of the films from 40 to 50 % for a film of 67 μm thick to 4–12 % when the thickness increases to 460 μm. Yet, X-ray detection parameters get enhanced as the thickness of the films increases. Those results affect the luminescence efficiency curves of the films under poly-energetic X-ray radiation of various tube energies. The normalized noise power spectrum values were found similar for LuPO4:Eu films and a phosphor screen made using commercial Gd2O2S:Eu powder. The detective quantum efficiency of our films is clearly lower compared to the Gd2O2S:Eu screen from 2 to 10 cycles mm?1 frequency range while the modulation transfer function is lower from 0 to 5.5 cycles mm?1 frequency range. The acquired data allow to predict that high-temperature sintering of our films under pressure may help to improve their imaging quality, since such a processing should increase the luminescence efficiency without significant growth of the grains and thus without sacrificing their translucent character.  相似文献

KY3F10:Ho3+ thin films were deposited by a pulsed laser deposition technique with Nd–YAG laser radiation (λ = 266 nm) on (100) silicon substrate. The XRD and FE-SEM results show improved crystalline structure for the film deposited at a pressure of 1 Torr. The AFM results show that the RMS roughness of the films increases with rise in argon gas pressure. The EDS elemental mapping shows Y-excess for all the films deposited under all pressures, and this is attributed to its higher mass and low volatility as compared to K and F. XPS analysis further confirmed Y-excess in the deposited films. Green PL emission at 540 nm was investigated at three main excitation wavelengths, namely 362, 416 and 454 nm. The PL emission peaks increase with rise in background argon gas pressure for all excitation wavelengths. The highest PL intensity occurred at excitation of 454 nm for all the thin films. In addition, faint red (near infrared) emission was observed at 750 nm for all the excitations. The green emission at 540 nm is ascribed to the 5F45I8 and 5S25I8 transitions, and the faint red emission at 750 nm is due to the 5F45I7 and 5S25I7 transitions of Ho3+.  相似文献

Epitaxial films of composition (Gd,Nd)3Ga5O12 or (Gd,Y,Nd)3Ga5O12 with a neodymium content varying from 0.3 to 15 at. % are grown by liquid-phase epitaxy from a supercooled PbO-B2O3-based solution melt on Gd3Ga5O12(111) substrates. The optical absorption spectra of the epitaxial films grown are measured in the wavelength range 0.2–1.0 µm. The results of interpreting the absorption bands observed in the spectra are used to construct the energy level diagrams of Nd3+ and Gd3+ ions in the matrices of the epitaxial films.  相似文献

Single crystals of gadolinium orthosilicate Gd2SiO5 containing 0.5 at% and 5 at% of Sm3+ were grown by the Czochralski method. Optical absorption spectra, luminescence spectra and luminescence decay curves were recorded for these systems at 10 K and at room temperature. Comparison of optical spectra recorded in polarized light revealed that the anisotropy of this optically biaxial host affects the intensity distribution within absorption and emission bands related to transitions between multiplets rather than the overall band intensity. It has been found that among four bands of luminescence related to the 4G5/26HJ (J=5/2–11/2) transitions of Sm3+ in the visible and near infrared region the 4G5/26H7/2 one has the highest intensity with a peak emission cross section of 3.54×10−21 cm2 at 601 nm for light polarized parallel to the crystallographic axis c of the crystal. The luminescence decay curve recorded for Gd2SiO5:0.5 at% Sm3+ follows a single exponential time dependence with a lifetime 1.74 ms, in good agreement with the 4G5/2 radiative lifetime τ rad=1.78 ms calculated in the framework of Judd-Ofelt theory. Considerably faster and non-exponential luminescence decay recorded for Gd2SiO5:5 at% Sm3+ sample was fitted to that predicted by the Inokuti-Hirayama theory yielding the microparameter of Sm3+–Sm3+ energy transfer C da=1.264×10−52 cm6×s−1.  相似文献
