The formation of maghemite, γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles has been studied by in situ X-ray powder diffraction. The maghemite was formed by thermal decomposition of an amorphous precursor compound made by reacting lauric acid, CH3(CH2)10COOH with Fe(NO3)3·9H2O. It has been shown that cubic γ-Fe2O3 was formed directly from the amorphous precursor and that vacancy ordering starts about 45 min later at 305 °C resulting in a tripled unit cell along the c-axis. The kinetics of grain growth was found to obey a power law with growth exponents n equal to 0.136(6) and 0.103(5) at 305 and 340 °C, respectively. Particles with average sizes of 12 and 13 nm were obtained in 86 and 76 min at 305 and 340 °C, respectively. The structure of cubic and vacancy ordered phases of γ-Fe2O3 was studied at 305 °C by Rietveld refinements.  相似文献

The phase diagram of the system CdI2-Ag2Se is studied by means of X-ray diffraction, differential thermal analysis and measurements of the density of the material. The unit cell parameters of the intermediate phase 2CdI2·3Ag2Se were determined a = 0.6387 Å, b = 4.311 Å, c = 4.044 Å; α = 113.72°, β = 90.27° and γ = 94.85°. The intermediate phase 2CdI2·3Ag2Se has a polymorphic transition at 125 °C. It melts incongruently at 660 °C.  相似文献

The microstructure and phase stability of nanocrystalline mixed oxide LuxCe1−xO2−y (x=0-1) are described. Nano-sized (3-4 nm) oxide particles were prepared by the reverse microemulsion method. Morphological and structural changes upon heat treatment in an oxidizing atmosphere were studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman and Yb3+ emission spectroscopy, the latter ion being present as an impurity in the Lu2O3 starting material. Up to 950 °C, the samples were single phase, with structure changing smoothly with Lu content from fluorite type (F) to bixbyite type (C). For the samples heated at 1100 °C phase separation into coexisting F- and C-type structures was observed for 0.35<x<0.7. It was also found that addition of Lu strongly hinders the crystallite growth of ceria during heat treatment at 800 and 950 °C.  相似文献

We have successfully synthesized single-crystal ZnO nanotubes and tubular whiskers by employing Zn(NO3)2·6H2O, NH3·H2O as the starting materials in the presence of polyethylene glycol (PEG, Mw=2000) at ambient pressure and low temperature (70 °C). Characterizations are carried out by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM, HRTEM) and photoluminescence (PL) measurement. The results show that the as-prepared ZnO are tubular textures, which have average cross-sectional dimensions of 200-300 nm, lengths of 2-3.5 μm, and wall thickness of 80 nm. These tubular products demonstrate a sharp ultraviolet excitonic emission peak centered at 385 nm at room temperature. A possible growth mechanism and the influence of the reaction temperature on the formation of crystalline ZnO are presented.  相似文献

The reactivity of [Cr/Se/Te] multilayers under annealing was investigated using X-ray reflectometry, in situ X-ray diffraction, X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) measurements and transmission electron microscopy. For all samples, interdiffusion was complete at temperatures between 100 and 300 °C, depending on the repeating tri-layer thickness. A crystalline phase nucleated approximately 20 °C above the temperature where interdiffusion was finished. The first crystalline phase in a binary Cr/Te sample was layered CrTe3 nucleating at 230 °C. In ternary samples (Se:Te=0.6-1.2), the low-temperature nucleation of such a layered CrQ3 (Q=Se, Te) phase is suppressed and instead the phase Cr2Q3 nucleates first. Interestingly, this phase decomposes around 500 °C into layered CrQ3. In contrast, binary Cr/Se samples form stable amorphous alloys after interdiffusion and Cr3Se4 nucleates around 500 °C as the only crystalline phase. Evaluation of the XAFS data of annealed samples yield Se-Cr distances of 2.568(1) and 2.552(1) Å for Cr2Q3 and CrQ3, respectively. In the latter sample, higher coordination shells around Se are seen accounting for the Se-Te contacts in the structure.  相似文献

CsAlSi5O12 crystals were synthesized at high temperature by slow cooling of a vanadium oxide flux. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction structure analysis and electron microprobe analyses yielded the microporous CAS zeolite framework structure of Cs0.85Al0.85Si5.15O12 composition. High-temperature single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction studies were utilized to analyze anisotropic thermal expansion. Rietveld refined cell constants from powder diffraction data, measured in steps of 25 °C up to 700 °C, show a significant decrease in expansion above 500 °C. At 500 °C, a displacive, static disorder-dynamic disorder-type phase transition from the acentric low-temperature space group Ama2 to centrosymmetric Amam (Cmcm in standard setting) was found. Thermal expansion below the phase transition is governed by rigid-body TO4 rotations accompanied by stretching of T-O-T angles. Above the phase transition at 500 °C all atoms, except one oxygen (O6), are fixed on mirror planes. Temperature-dependent polarized Raman single-crystal spectra between −270 and 300 °C and unpolarized spectra between room temperature and 1000 °C become increasingly less resolved with rising temperature confirming the disordered static-disordered dynamic type of the phase transition.  相似文献

Hyphenation of thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) and thermo-Raman spectrophotometer for in situ monitoring of solid-state reaction in oxygen atmosphere forming NiO-Al2O3 catalyst nanoparticles is investigated. In situ thermo-Raman spectra in the range from 200 to 1400 cm−1 were recorded at every degree interval from 25 to 800 °C. Thermo-Raman spectroscopic studies reveal that, although the onset of formation is around 600 °C, the bulk NiAl2O4 forms at temperatures above 800 °C. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectra and the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images of the reaction mixtures were recorded at regular temperature intervals of 100 °C, in the temperature range from 400 to 1000 °C, which could provide information on structural and morphological evolution of NiO-Al2O3. Slow controlled heating of the sample enabled better control over morphology and particle size distribution (∼20-30 nm diameter). The observed results were supported by complementary characterizations using TGA, XRD, SEM, transmission electron microscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray analysis.  相似文献

Fluorine-doped nanocrystalline tin dioxide materials (F:SnO2) have been successfully prepared by the sol-gel process from a single molecular precursor followed by a thermal treatment at 450-650 °C. The resulting materials were characterized by FTIR spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, nitrogen adsorption porosimetry (BET) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The mean particle size increased from 5 to 20 nm and the specific surface area decreased from 123 to 37 m2/g as the temperature of heat treatment was risen from 450 to 650 °C. Fluorine-doped nanocrystalline SnO2 exhibited capacity of 560, 502, and 702 mA h/g with 48%, 50%, and 40% capacity retention after 25 cycles between 1.2 V and 50 mV at the rate of 25 mA/g, respectively. In comparison, commercial SnO2 showed an initial capacity of 388 mA h/g, with only 23% capacity retention after 25 cycles.  相似文献

The phase relations have been studied in the BaO-CuOx system in the range of 25.0-45.0 mol% CuO at 900-1100 °C at P(O2)=21 kPa (air) by visual polythermal analysis (VPA), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), electron diffraction (ED) with simultaneous energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) elemental analysis in a transmission electron microscope (TEM), and iodometric chemical analysis. The discrete deviations 2.02 (101:50), 2.04 (102:50), 2.10 (105:50) of Ba/Cu (Ba:Cu) composition from the stoichiometric ratio 2:1 have been found for the known Ba2CuO3+δ oxides in the subsolidus region 900-970 °C. Unit cell parameters of the 101:50 orthorhombic oxide, 102:50 tetragonal one, 105:50 orthorhombic one are, respectively, a=4.049, b=3.899, c=13.034 Å; a=3.985, c=12.968 Å; a=4.087, b=3.897 and c=12.950 Å. ED patterns of the 101:50, 102:50, 105:50 oxides show characteristic supercell reflections with the respective vector 1/60[5 4 0], ≈2/11〈1 1 0〉 and 1/6[2 0 0]. Oxides of the 2:1, 7:4, 5:3 and 23:20 compositions have been found in the crystallization region 970-1050 °C. Unit cell parameters of the 2:1 orthorhombic oxide are a=4.095, b=3.795, c=13.165 Å. Interplanar spacings and X-ray characteristic peak intensities of the 7:4, 5:3 and 23:20 oxides are given. Oxides 2:1 and 7:4 melt pseudocongruently at 1020 and 1005 °C, oxides 5:3 and 23:20 melt incongruently at 995 and 980 °C, respectively. A diagram of the phase relations in the studied region of the BaO-CuOx system has been constructed, whose structure is considered as the total projection of phase states of the system existing for different x.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline lanthanum hexaboride (LaB6) with mean particle size of 30 nm has been successfully synthesized at 400 °C in an autoclave starting from metallic magnesium powder, NaBH4 and LaCl3. In this case, by using B2O3 instead of NaBH4, LaB6 nanocubes with mean size of ∼200 nm were formed at 500 °C. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern can be indexed as cubic LaB6 with the lattice constant of a=4.151 Å for LaB6 nanoparticles and 4.154 Å for LaB6 nanocubes. An atomic ratio of La and B as 1:5.94 was determined from EDS for LaB6 nanoparticles. XPS data of LaB6 nanocubes indicate the atomic ratio of La to B as 1:5.95. Raman spectra indicate the formation of LaB6.  相似文献

A novel microwave dielectric powder with composition of Ca2Zn4Ti16O38 was synthesized through a citrate sol-gel process. The development of crystalline phases with heat-treating temperature for the gel derived powders was evaluated by using thermo-gravimetric analysis and X-ray powder diffraction analysis techniques. The pure phase of Ca2Zn4Ti16O38 with crichtonite crystal structure was obtained at relatively low temperature of 1000 °C. The synthesized powder has high reactivity and the dense ceramics with single crystalline phase were obtained at low sintering temperature of 1100 °C. Impedance spectroscopy and microwave dielectric measurements on sintered samples showed the present compound to be a modest dielectric insulator with excellent dielectric properties of εr∼47-49, Qf value ∼27,800-31,600 GHz and τf∼+45 to +50 ppm/°C. It shows comparable microwave dielectric properties to other moderate-permittivity microwave dielectrics, but much lower sintering temperature of 1100 °C.  相似文献

A new dabcodiium-templated nickel sulphate, (C6H14N2)[Ni(H2O)6](SO4)2, has been synthesised and characterised by single-crystal X-ray diffraction at 20 and −173 °C, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetry (TG) and temperature-dependent X-ray powder diffraction (TDXD). The high temperature phase crystallises in the monoclinic space group P21/n with the unit-cell parameters: a = 7.0000(1), b = 12.3342(2), c = 9.9940(2) Å; β = 90.661(1)°, V = 862.82(3) Å3 and Z = 2. The low temperature phase crystallises in the monoclinic space group P21/a with the unit-cell parameters: a = 12.0216(1), b = 12.3559(1), c = 12.2193(1) Å; β = 109.989(1)°, V = 1705.69(2) Å3 and Z = 4. The crystal structure of the HT-phase consists of Ni2+ cations octahedrally coordinated by six water molecules, sulphate tetrahedra and disordered dabcodiium cations linked together by hydrogen bonds. It undergoes a reversible phase transition (PT) of the second order at −53.7/−54.6 °C on heating-cooling runs. Below the PT temperature, the structure is fully ordered. The thermal decomposition of the precursor proceeds through three stages giving rise to the nickel oxide.  相似文献

WO3-ZrO2 samples were obtained by precipitating zirconium oxynitrate in presence of WO4 species in solution from ammonium metatungstate at pH=10.0. Samples were characterized by atomic absorption spectroscopy, thermal analysis, X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and energy filtered-TEM. The ammonia retained in the dried sample produced a reductive atmosphere to generate W5+ ions coexisting with W6+ ions to produce a solid solution of tungsten in the zirconia lattice to stabilize the zirconia tetragonal phase when the sample was annealed at 560 °C. When the sample was annealed at 800 °C, the W atoms near crystallite surface were oxidized to W6+, producing patches of WO3 on the zirconia crystallite. The HR-TEM analysis confirmed the existence of the solid solution when the sample was annealed at 560 °C, and two types of crystalline regions were identified: One with nearly spherical morphology, an average diameter of 8 nm and the atomic distribution of tetragonal zirconia. The second one had a non-spherical morphology with well-faceted faces and dimensions larger than 30 nm, and the atom distribution of tetragonal zirconia. When samples were annealed at 800 °C two different zirconia crystallites were formed: Those where only part of the dissolved tungsten atoms segregated to crystallite surface producing patches of nanocrystalline WO3 on the crystallite surface of tetragonal zirconia stabilized with tungsten. The second type corresponded to monoclinic zirconia crystallites with patches of nanocrystalline WO3 on their surface. The tungsten segregation gave rise to the WO3-ZrO2 catalysts.  相似文献

(2+2)-Dimerization of unsaturated, highly pyramidalized dodecahedranes (Φ = 43-45°) is explored as a route to C40-cage molecules and non-classical ions derived thereby. The cycloadducts (X-ray structure) formed under vigorous conditions either in solution or in the solid phase above 300 °C did not undergo 2σ → 2π isomerization. The MS fragmentation patterns, in line with calculations (B3LYP/6-31G*), suggest the formation of ‘open’ C40 dications.  相似文献

Co-Mn-Al layered double hydroxides (LDHs) with various Co:Mn:Al molar ratios (4:2:0, 4:1.5:0.5, 4:1:1, 4:0.5:1.5, and 4:0:2) were prepared and characterized. Magnesium containing LDHs Co-Mg-Mn (2:2:2), Co-Mg-Mn-Al (2:2:1:1), and Co-Mg-Al (2:2:2) were also studied. Thermal decomposition of prepared LDHs and formation of related mixed oxides were studied using high-temperature X-ray powder diffraction and thermal analysis. The thermal decomposition of Mg-free LDHs starts by their partial dehydration accompanied by shrinkage of the lattice parameter c from ca. 0.76 to 0.66 nm. The dehydration temperature of the Co-Mn-Al LDHs decreases with increasing Mn content from 180 °C in Co-Al sample to 120 °C in sample with Co:Mn:Al molar ratio of 4:1.5:0.5. A subsequent step is a complete decomposition of the layered structure to nanocrystalline spinel, the complete dehydration, and finally decarbonation of the mixed oxide phase. Spinel-type oxides were the primary crystallization products. Mg-containing primary spinels had practically empty tetrahedral cationic sites. A dramatic increase of the spinel cell size upon heating and analysis by Raman spectroscopy revealed a segregation of Co-rich spinel in Co-Mn and Co-Mn-Al specimens. In calcination products obtained at 500 °C, the spinel mean coherence length was 5-10 nm, and the total content of the X-ray diffraction crystalline portion was 50-90%. These calcination products were tested as catalysts in the total oxidation of ethanol and decomposition of N2O. The catalytic activity in ethanol combustion was enhanced by increasing (Co+Mn) content while an optimum content of reducible components was necessary for high activity in N2O decomposition, where the highest conversions were found for calcined Co-Mn-Al sample with Co:Mn:Al molar ratio of 4:1:1.  相似文献

The pressure-less sintering behavior of PbTiO3 powders synthesized by mechanical alloying TiO2 and PbO was investigated using dilatometry and Rietveld refinements of X-ray diffraction patterns. As-synthesized, the powders are nanocrystalline with a mean particle size of 20 nm. Pressure-less sintering in the range 500-1050°C gives single phase ceramics with densities of 85-90% and crystallite sizes in the range 80-400 nm. Cracking due to the paraelectric-ferroelectric phase transition was not observed in samples sintered below 700°C due to the small crystallite size whereas macroscopic cracks formed in samples sintered above 700°C. Rietveld analysis indicates the formation of Pb vacancies in samples sintered and held for 24 h at intermediate temperatures (600-1000°C) which gives some insight into the mechanism of Pb loss and second phase formation in this system.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline Mo2C powders were successfully synthesized at 500 °C by reacting molybdenum chloride (MoCl5) with C (graphite or carbon nanotube) in metallic sodium medium. X-ray powder diffractometer (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscope (XPS) and surface area analyzer (BET method) were used to characterize the samples. Experiments reveal that the carbon source used for the carbide synthesis has a great effect on the particle size and the surface area of the samples. When micro-sized graphite was used as C source the obtained nanocrystalline Mo2C powder consists of particles of 30∼100 nm, with a surface area of 2.311 m2/g. When carbon nanotubes were used as C source, the as-synthesized Mo2C sample is composed of particles of 20∼50 nm, with a surface area of 23.458 m2/g, which is an order of magnitude larger than that of the carbide prepared from the graphite.  相似文献

Acetate containing nickel-zinc hydroxysalts (LHS-Ni-Zn) have been synthesized by coprecipitation and hydrothermal treatment. The acetate anions were exchanged with PW12O403− anions, and optimum conditions to attain the maximum level of W in the compound have been identified. The W intercalated compound was characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, FT-IR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The exchange of LHS-Ni-Zn with PW12O403− at pH=3 for 72 h leads to a solid with a basal spacing of 9.62 Å and a W content (weight) of 37%. The hydrothermal treatment at 90 °C for 24 h increases this value to 48% with a W/Zn molar ratio of 1.38, which corresponds to a layered compound with lacunary tungstophosphate anions in the interlayer space. The intercalated solid is stable up to 250 °C, the layer structure collapses on dehydroxylation and amorphous compounds were identified at 500 °C. Two crystalline phases, NiO (rock salt) and a solid solution (Zn1−xNix)WO4, were identified by powder X-ray diffraction at high temperature (ca. 1000 °C).  相似文献

Straw-like nano-structure of a new mixed-ligand Zn(II) two-dimensional coordination polymer, {[Zn(μ-4,4′-bipy)(μ-3-bpdb)(H2O)2](ClO4)2·4,4′-bipy·3-bpdb·H2O}n (1) {4,4′-bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine and 3-bpdb = 1,4-bis(3-pyridyl)-2,3-diaza-1,3-butadiene}, was synthesized by a sonochemical method. Compound 1 was structurally characterised by single crystal X-ray diffraction and consists of two-dimensional polymeric units. ZnO nanoparticles were obtained by calcination of compound 1 at 500 °C under air atmosphere and were characterised by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).  相似文献

MgAl2O4:Mn phosphors have been prepared at 500 °C by combustion route. Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) indicated the presence of mono-MgAl2O4 phase. Scanning electron microscopy showed that the powder particle crystallites are mostly angular. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy confirmed the presence of AlO6 group which makes up the MgAl2O4 spinel. Photoluminescence studies showed green/red emission indicating that two independent luminescence channels in this phosphor. The green emission at 518 nm is due to 4T16A1 transition of Mn2+ ions. The emission at 650 nm is due to the charge-transfer deexcitation associated with the Mn ion. EPR spectrum exhibits allowed and forbidden hyperfine structure at g=2.003. The g≈2.00 is due to Mn2+ ion in an environment close to tetrahedral symmetry. It is observed that N and χ increase with decrease of temperature obeying the Boltzmann law. The variation of zero-field splitting parameter (D) with temperature is evaluated and discussed.  相似文献
