Porosity and Fixed Points of Nonexpansive Set-Valued Maps

We study the existence problems of fixed points and the topological structure of fixed point sets for nonexpansive set-valued maps in Banach space. We establish some porosity results on the existence of fixed points and the topological structure of fixed point sets for nonexpansive set-valued maps with values in an admissible family. The results obtained in the present paper cover and improve the corresponding ones due to De Blasi and Myjak (C. R. Acad. Sci. Paris Sér. I Math. 308:51–54, 1989) and De Blasi et al. (Set-Valued Anal. 17:97–112, 2009).     

Generalized Topological Essentiality and Coincidence Points of Multivalued Maps

A concept of generalized topological essentiality for a large class of multivalued maps in topological vector Klee admissible spaces is presented. Some direct applications to differential equations are discussed. Using the inverse systems approach the coincidence point sets of limit maps are examined. The main motivation as well as main aim of this note is a study of fixed points of multivalued maps in Fréchet spaces. The approach presented in the paper allows to check not only the nonemptiness of the fixed point set but also its topological structure.      

Regularity and Integration of Set-Valued Maps Represented by Generalized Steiner Points

A family of probability measures on the unit ball in generates a family of generalized Steiner (GS-)points for every convex compact set in . Such a “rich” family of probability measures determines a representation of a convex compact set by GS-points. In this way, a representation of a set-valued map with convex compact images is constructed by GS-selections (which are defined by the GS-points of its images). The properties of the GS-points allow to represent Minkowski sum, Demyanov difference and Demyanov distance between sets in terms of their GS-points, as well as the Aumann integral of a set-valued map is represented by the integrals of its GS-selections. Regularity properties of set-valued maps (measurability, Lipschitz continuity, bounded variation) are reduced to the corresponding uniform properties of its GS-selections. This theory is applied to formulate regularity conditions for the first-order of convergence of iterated set-valued quadrature formulae approximating the Aumann integral.

Periodic Points for Good Reduction Maps on Curves

The periodic points of a morphism of good reduction for a smooth projective curve with good reduction over form a discrete set. This is used to give an interpretation of the morphic height in terms of asymptotic properties of periodic points, and a morphic analogue of Jensen's formula.

Stability of Periodic Orbits and Return Trajectories of Continuous Multi-valued Maps on Intervals

Let I be a compact interval of real axis R, and(I, H) be the metric space of all nonempty closed subintervals of I with the Hausdorff metric H and f : I → I be a continuous multi-valued map. Assume that Pn =(x_0, x_1,..., xn) is a return tra jectory of f and that p ∈ [min Pn, max Pn] with p ∈ f(p). In this paper, we show that if there exist k(≥ 1) centripetal point pairs of f(relative to p)in {(x_i; x_i+1) : 0 ≤ i ≤ n-1} and n = sk + r(0 ≤ r ≤ k-1), then f has an R-periodic orbit, where R = s + 1 if s is even, and R = s if s is odd and r = 0, and R = s + 2 if s is odd and r 0. Besides,we also study stability of periodic orbits of continuous multi-valued maps from I to I.

Weak and Strong Subgradients of Set-Valued Maps

We consider weak subgradients of a set-valued map and present a new notion of strong subgradient. We study their properties and compare our constructions and results with other developments. We give existence conditions of both types and establish several optimality conditions in terms of set optimization.

We introduce the concept of a weakly G-quasiconvex map with respect to a map on generalized convex spaces and use the concept to prove coincidence point theorems and almost-like coincidence point theorems. As applications of the above results, we derive almost fixed point theorems and fixed point theorem. These main results generalize and improve some known results in the literature.     

Conic Set-Valued Maps in Vector Optimization

The paper deals with the properties of a conic set-valued function defined on the set of all ideal points of vector programming problems. The results here about the continuity and derivability of this conic set-valued map, can be used to get information about the sensitivity of the problem and the stability of the order associated to every ideal point. Furthermore, it is proved that certain contingent cones are determined by the ideal conic set-valued map.
