This Letter examines the question of the structure of the Hopf algebra deformations of the universal enveloping algebras of the simple Lie algebras. Deformations of a complex algebra A are viewed as algebras defined over formal power series rings that specialize to A when the parameters go to 0. Only the case of U(sl(2,C)) is treated but the methods are general. Under the Ansatz that the two Borel subalgebras are deformed as Hopf algebras but possibly differently, we construct a universal two-parameter deformation.  相似文献

The search for elliptic quantum groups leads to a modified quantum Yang–Baxter relation and to a special class of quasi-triangular quasi-Hopf algebras. This Letter calculates deformations of standard quantum groups (with or without spectral parameter) in the category of quasi-Hopf algebras. An earlier investigation of the deformations of quantum groups, in the category of Hopf algebras, showed that quantum groups are generically rigid: Hopf algebra deformations exist only under some restrictions on the parameters. In particular, affine Kac–Moody algebras are more rigid than their loop algebra quotients and only the latter (in the case of sl(n)) can be deformed to elliptic Hopf algebras. The generalization to quasi-Hopf deformations lifts this restriction. The full elliptic quantum groups (with central extension) associated with sl(n) are thus quasi-Hopf algebras. The universal R-matrices satisfy a modified Yang–Baxter relation and are calculated more or less explicitly. The modified classical Yang–Baxter relation is obtained and the elliptic solutions are worked out explicitly. The same method is used to construct the Universal R-matrices associated with Felder's quantization of the Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov–Bernard equation, to throw some light on the quasi-Hopf structure of conformal field theory and (perhaps) the Calogero–Moser models.  相似文献

Quantum Lie algebras are generalizations of Lie algebras which have the quantum parameter h built into their structure. They have been defined concretely as certain submodules of the quantized enveloping algebras . On them the quantum Lie product is given by the quantum adjoint action. Here we define for any finite-dimensional simple complex Lie algebra an abstract quantum Lie algebra independent of any concrete realization. Its h-dependent structure constants are given in terms of inverse quantum Clebsch-Gordan coefficients. We then show that all concrete quantum Lie algebras are isomorphic to an abstract quantum Lie algebra . In this way we prove two important properties of quantum Lie algebras: 1) all quantum Lie algebras associated to the same are isomorphic, 2) the quantum Lie product of any is q-antisymmetric. We also describe a construction of which establishes their existence. Received: 23 May 1996 / Accepted: 17 October 1996  相似文献

We construct universal Drinfel'd twists defining deformations of Hopf algebra structures based upon simple Lie algebras and contragredient simple Lie superalgebras. In particular, we obtain deformed and dynamical double Yangians. Some explicit realisations as evaluation representations are given for sl N , sl(1|2) and osp(1|2). The symplectic vector spaceE of theq andp's of classical mechanics allows a basis free definition of the Poisson bracket in the symmetric algebra overE. Thus the symmetric algebra overE becomes a Lie algebra, which can be compared with the quantum mechanical Weyl algebra with its commutator Lie structure. The universality of the Weyl algebra is used to study the well-known ‘classical’ Moyal realisation of the Weyl algebra in the symmetric algebra. Quantisations are defined as linear mappings of the underlying vector spaces of the two algebras. It is shown that the classical Lie algebra is −2 graded, whereas the quantum Lie algebra is not. This proves that they are not isomorphic, and hence there is no Dirac quantisation.  相似文献

Crystal algebra
We define the crystal algebra, an algebra which has a base of elements of crystal bases of a quantum group. The multiplication is defined by the tensor product rule of crystal bases. A universal n-colored crystal algebra is defined. We study the relation between those algebras and the tensor algebras of the crystal algebra of U q (sl(2)) and give a presentation by generators and relations for the case of U q (sl(n)).  相似文献

We describe enveloping algebras of finite-dimensional Lie algebras which are formal in the sense that their Hochschild complex as a differential graded Lie algebra is quasi-isomorphic to its Hochschild cohomology. For Abelian Lie algebras this is true thanks to the Kontsevich formality theorem. We are using his formality map twisted by the group-like element generated by the linear Poisson structure to simplify the problem, and then study examples. For instance, the universal enveloping algebras of the Lie algebras are formal. We also recover our rigidity results for enveloping algebras from this new angle and present some explicit deformations of linear Poisson structure in low dimensions.  相似文献

We construct algebraic-geometric families of genus one (i.e. elliptic) current and affine Lie algebras of Krichever-Novikov type. These families deform the classical current, respectively affine Kac-Moody Lie algebras. The construction is induced by the geometric process of degenerating the elliptic curve to singular cubics. If the finite-dimensional Lie algebra defining the infinite dimensional current algebra is simple then, even if restricted to local families, the constructed families are non-equivalent to the trivial family. In particular, we show that the current algebra is geometrically not rigid, despite its formal rigidity. This shows that in the infinite dimensional Lie algebra case the relations between geometric deformations, formal deformations and Lie algebra two-cohomology are not that close as in the finite-dimensional case. The constructed families are e.g. of relevance in the global operator approach to the Wess-Zumino-Witten-Novikov models appearing in the quantization of Conformal Field Theory. The algebras are explicitly given by generators and structure equations and yield new examples of infinite dimensional algebras of current and affine Lie algebra type.  相似文献

We propose a simple approach to formal deformations of associative algebras. It exploits the machinery of multiplicative coresolutions of an associative algebra A in the category of A-bimodules. Specifically, we show that certain first-order deformations of A extend to all orders and we derive explicit recurrent formulas determining this extension. In physical terms, this may be regarded as the deformation quantization of noncommutative Poisson structures on A.

We present a mathematical study of the differentiable deformations of the algebras associated with phase space. Deformations of the Lie algebra of C functions, defined by the Poisson bracket, generalize the well-known Moyal bracket. Deformations of the algebra of C functions, defined by ordinary multiplication, give rise to noncommutative, associative algebras, isomorphic to the operator algebras of quantum theory. In particular, we study deformations invariant under any Lie algebra of “distinguished observables”, thus generalizing the usual quantization scheme based on the Heisenberg algebra.  相似文献

Effect algebras and unsharp quantum logics   总被引:20,自引:0,他引:20
The effects in a quantum-mechanical system form a partial algebra and a partially ordered set which is the prototypical example of the effect algebras discussed in this paper. The relationships among effect algebras and such structures as orthoalgebras and orthomodular posets are investigated, as are morphisms and group- valued measures (or charges) on effect algebras. It is proved that there is a universal group for every effect algebra, as well as a universal vector space over an arbitrary field.  相似文献

In this paper we study the finitely generated algebras underlyingW algebras. These so called finiteW algebras are constructed as Poisson reductions of Kirillov Poisson structures on simple Lie algebras. The inequivalent reductions are labeled by the inequivalent embeddings ofsl 2 into the simple Lie algebra in question. For arbitrary embeddings a coordinate free formula for the reduced Poisson structure is derived. We also prove that any finiteW algebra can be embedded into the Kirillov Poisson algebra of a (semi)simple Lie algebra (generalized Miura map). Furthermore it is shown that generalized finite Toda systems are reductions of a system describing a free particle moving on a group manifold and that they have finiteW symmetry. In the second part we BRST quantize the finiteW algebras. The BRST cohomology is calculated using a spectral sequence (which is different from the one used by Feigin and Frenkel). This allows us to quantize all finiteW algebras in one stroke. Examples are given. In the last part of the paper we study the representation theory of finiteW algebras. It is shown, using a quantum version of the generalized Miura transformation, that the representations of finiteW algebras can be constructed from the representations of a certain Lie subalgebra of the original simple Lie algebra. As a byproduct of this we are able to construct the Fock realizations of arbitrary finiteW algebras.  相似文献

We show that given a Frobenius algebra there is a unique notion of its second quantization, which is the sum over all symmetric group quotients of nth tensor powers, where the quotients are given by symmetric group twisted Frobenius algebras. To this end, we consider the setting of Frobenius algebras given by functors from geometric categories whose objects are endowed with geometric group actions and prove structural results, which in turn yield a constructive realization in the case of nth tensor powers and the natural permutation action. We also show that naturally graded symmetric group twisted Frobenius algebras have a unique algebra structure already determined by their underlying additive data together with a choice of super–grading. Furthermore we discuss several notions of discrete torsion and show that indeed a non–trivial discrete torsion leads to a non–trivial super structure on the second quantization. This work was partially supported by NSF grant #0070681.  相似文献

A definition of pre-Poisson algebras is proposed, combining structures of pre-Lie and zinbiel algebra on the same vector space. It is shown that a pre-Poisson algebra gives rise to a Poisson algebra by passing to the corresponding Lie and commutative products. Analogs of basic constructions of Poisson algebras (through deformations of commutative algebras, or from filtered algebras whose associated graded algebra is commutative) are shown to hold for pre-Poisson algebras. The Koszul dual of pre-Poisson algebras is described. It is explained how one may associate a pre-Poisson algebra to any Poison algebra equipped with a Baxter operator, and a dual pre-Poisson algebra to any Poisson algebra equipped with an averaging operator. Examples of this construction are given. It is shown that the free zinbiel algebra (the shuffle algebra) on a pre-Lie algebra is a pre-Poisson algebra. A connection between the graded version of this result and the classical Yang–Baxter equation is discussed.  相似文献

A Lie algebra in a braided category is constructed within the algebra structure of the positive part of the Drinfeld—Jimbo quantum group of type An such that its universal enveloping algebra is a braided Hopf algebra. Similarities with Clifford algebras are discussed.  相似文献

Isotopic liftings of algebraic structures are investigated in the context of Clifford algebras, where it is defined a new product involving an arbitrary, but fixed, element of the Clifford algebra. This element acts as the unit with respect to the introduced product, and is called isounit. We construct isotopies in both associative and non-associative arbitrary algebras, and examples of these constructions are exhibited using Clifford algebras, which although associative, can generate the octonionic, non-associative, algebra. The whole formalism is developed in a Clifford algebraic arena, giving also the necessary pre-requisites to introduce isotopies of the exterior algebra. The flavor hadronic symmetry of the six u,d,s,c,b,t quarks is shown to be exact, when the generators of the isotopic Lie algebra are constructed, and the unit of the isotopic Clifford algebra is shown to be a function of the six quark masses. The limits constraining the parameters, that are entries of the representation of the isounit in the isotopic group SU(6), are based on the most recent limits imposed on quark masses.  相似文献

The role of curvature in relation with Lie algebra contractions of the pseudo-orthogonal algebras so(p,q) is fully described by considering some associated symmetrical homogeneous spaces of constant curvature within a Cayley–Klein framework. We show that a given Lie algebra contraction can be interpreted geometrically as the zero-curvature limit of some underlying homogeneous space with constant curvature. In particular, we study in detail the contraction process for the three classical Riemannian spaces (spherical, Euclidean, hyperbolic), three non-relativistic (Newtonian) spacetimes and three relativistic ((anti-)de Sitter and Minkowskian) spacetimes. Next, from a different perspective, we make use of quantum deformations of Lie algebras in order to construct a family of spaces of non-constant curvature that can be interpreted as deformations of the above nine spaces. In this framework, the quantum deformation parameter is identified as the parameter that controls the curvature of such “quantum” spaces.  相似文献

We consider how a vertex operator algebra can be extended to an abelian interwining algebra by a family of weak twisted modules which aresimple currents associated with semisimple weight one primary vectors. In the case that the extension is again a vertex operator algebra, the rationality of the extended algebra is discussed. These results are applied to affine Kac-Moody algebras in order to construct all the simple currents explicitly (except forE 8) and to get various extensions of the vertex operator algebras associated with integrable representations.Supported by NSF grant DMS-9303374 and a research grant from the Committee on Research, UC Santa Cruz.Supported by NSF grant DMS-9401272 and a research grant from the Committee on Research, UC Santa Cruz.  相似文献

Measures Defined on Quantum Logics of Sets   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
We study families formed with subsets of any set X which are quantum logics but which are not Boolean algebras. We consider sequences of measures defined on a sets quantum logics and valued on an effect algebra and obtain a sufficient condition for a sequences of such measures to be uniformly strongly additive with respect to order topology of effect algebras.  相似文献
