The reaction between M(2)Cl(2)(NMe(2))(4), where M = Mo or W, and Hhpp (8 equiv) in a solid-state melt reaction at 150 degrees C yields the compounds M(2)(hpp)(4)Cl(2) 1a (M = Mo) and 1b (M = W), respectively, by the elimination of HNMe(2) [hpp is the anion derived from deprotonation of 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine, Hhpp]. Purification of 1a and 1b is achieved by sublimation of the excess Hhpp and subsequent recrystallization from either CH(2)Cl(2) or CHCl(3) (or CDCl(3)). By single-crystal X-ray crystallography, the structures of 1a and 1b are shown to contain a central paddlewheel-like M(2)(hpp)(4) core with Mo-Mo = 2.1708(8) A (from CH(2)Cl(2)), 2.1574(5) A (from CDCl(3)), W-W = 2.2328(2) A (from CDCl(3)), and M-N = 2.09(1) (av) A. The Cl ligands are axially ligated (linear Cl-M-M-Cl) with abnormally long M-Cl bond distances that, in turn, depend on the presence or absence of hydrogen bonding to chloroform. The quadruply bonded compounds M(2)(hpp)(4), 2a (M = Mo), and 2b (M = W), can be prepared from the reactions between 1,2-M(2)R(2)(NMe(2))(4) compounds, where R = (i)()Bu or p-tolyl, and Hhpp (4 equiv) in benzene by ligand replacement and reductive elimination. The compounds 2a and 2b are readily oxidized, and in chloroform they react to form 1a and 1b, respectively. The electronic structure and bonding in the compounds 1a, 1b, 2a, and 2b have been investigated using gradient corrected density functional theory employing Gaussian 98. The bonding in the M-M quadruply bonded compounds, 2a and 2b, reveals M-M delta(2) HOMOs and extensive mixing of M-M pi and nitrogen ligand lone-pair orbitals in a manner qualitatively similar to that of the M(2)(formamidinates)(4). The calculations indicate that in the chloride compounds, 1a and 1b, the HOMO is strongly M-Cl sigma antibonding and weakly M-M sigma bonding in character. Formally there is a M-M triple bond of configuration pi(4)sigma(2), and the LUMO is the M-M delta orbital. An interesting mixing of M-M and M-Cl pi interactions occurs, and an enlightening analogy emerges between these d(4)-d(4) and d(3)-d(3) dinuclear compounds and the bonding in C(2), C(2)H(2), and C(2)Cl(2), which is interrogated herein by simple theoretical calculations together with the potential bonding in axially ligated compounds where strongly covalent M-X bonds are present. The latter were represented by the model compounds M(2)(hpp)(4)(H)(2). On the basis of calculations, we estimate the reactions M(2)(hpp)(4) + X(2) to give M(2)(hpp)(4)X(2) to be enthalpically favorable for X = Cl but not for X = H. These results are discussed in terms of the recent work of Cotton and Murillo and our attempts to prepare parallel-linked oligomers of the type [[bridge]-[M(2)]-](n)().  相似文献

A series of compounds has been made containing quadruply bonded Re2(hpp)4X2 species (hpp = the anion of 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2a]pyrimidine), where X is CF3SO3 (1), CF3CO2 (2), and F (3). The distances of 2.1562(7), 2.1711(5), and 2.1959(4) A for 1-3 show significant effects of the sigma and pi electron donating ability of the axial ligands on the metal-metal distance. With the weakly coordinating triflate ligand the Re-Re distance is the shortest for any quadruple bonded species known. In addition to examining the effects of axial ligands on the Re2(hpp)42+ core, our study of the Re2(hpp)43+ core is being extended beyond the preliminary results previously reported in only one compound [Re2(hpp)4Cl2]PF6 (Dalton Trans. 2003, 1218). We now report the structural characterization by both X-ray and neutron diffraction of the compound [Re2(hpp)4F](TFPB)2, 4 (TFPB = the anion tetrakis[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]borate), and a detailed study by EPR spectroscopy of [Re2(hpp)4Cl2]PF6 at 9.5, 34.5, and 95 GHz frequencies, using dilute fluid solutions, frozen glass, and neat powder, show that the unpaired electron in the [Re2(hpp)4Cl2]+ ion is in an MO of predominant metal character with little mixing from the guanidinate ligands.  相似文献

A new synthetic path, far superior to either of those previously available, to the W2(hpp)4 molecule (Hhpp = 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine) is reported. The reaction of W(CO)6 with Hhpp in o-dichlorobenzene at 200 degrees C produces W2(hpp)4Cl2 in a one-pot reaction in over 90% yield. This compound is stable and easily stored for further use, and it can be efficiently reduced in a one-step reaction to the title compound W2(hpp)4.  相似文献

Reactions of W(CO)(6) with formamidines contrast with those of Mo(CO)(6) and Cr(CO)(6) in that the former do not yield quadruply bonded dimetal species. From the reaction of W(CO)(6) with HDAniF (HDAniF = N,N'-di-p-anisylformamidine), several new ditungsten carbonyl compounds (W(2)(mu-CO)(2)(mu-DAniF)(2)(eta(2)-DAniF)(2) (1), W(2)(mu-CO)(2)(mu-DAniF)(2)(eta(2)-DAniF)(eta(2)-CH(2)DAniF) (2), and W(2)(mu-CO)(mu-CNC(6)H(4)OCH(3))(mu-DAniF)(2)(eta(2)-DAniF)(2) (3)) have been isolated and fully characterized. In 2, CH(2)DAniF represents a DAniF ligand in which a methylene group has been added to one of the nitrogen atoms. This ligand binds to the tungsten atom using a nitrogen and a carbon atom. Compound 1 has a tungsten-tungsten bond distance of 2.476(1) A and a planar W(2)(mu-CO)(2) core structure which has C(2)(h)() symmetry with short and long W-C bond distances (1.99(1) and 2.28(1) A, respectively). DFT calculations on a model of 1 indicate that (a) the C(2)(h)() instead of D(2)(h)() symmetry of the ditungsten core may be attributed to W --> CO pi back-bonding interactions and (b) the bond between the tungsten atoms may be formulated as a double bond. The new tetragonal paddlewheel compound W(2)(DAniF)(4) (4) and the edge-sharing bioctahedron W(2)(mu-O)(mu-NC(6)H(3)Cl(2))(mu-D(Cl)PhF)(2)(eta(2)-D(Cl)PhF)(2) (5) (D(Cl)PhF = N,N'-di-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)formamidinate) have also been prepared.  相似文献

The reaction of [Os3Rh(mu-H)3(CO)12] with an excess amount of 4-vinylphenol (as hydride acceptor) in refluxing m-xylene, chlorobenzene or benzene yielded the three new clusters [Os5Rh2(mu-CO){eta6-C6H4(CH3)2}(CO)16] 1, [Os5Rh2(mu-CO)(eta6-C6H5Cl)(CO)16] 2 and [Os5Rh2(mu-CO)(eta6-C6H6)(CO)16] 3. The treatment of [Os3Rh(mu-H)3(CO)12] 4 in refluxing toluene with an excess amount of 4-vinylphenol afforded a new complex, [Os4Rh(mu-H)(eta6-C6H5CH3)(CO)12], which was isolated as a brown complex in 20% yield together with two known compounds, [Os5Rh2(eta6-C6H5CH3)(mu-CO)(CO)16] in 10% yield and [Os3Rh4(mu3-eta1:eta1:eta1-C6H5CH3)(CO)13] in 5% yield. Complexes 1-4 were fully characterized by IR, 1H NMR spectroscopy, mass spectroscopy, elemental analysis and X-ray crystallography. The molecular structures of compounds 1-3 are isomorphous, and only differ in the arene-derivatives that attach to the same metal core. Their metal cores can be viewed as a monocapped octahedral, in which an osmium atom caps one of the Os-Os-Os triangular faces of the Os4Rh2 metal framework. Complex 4 has a trigonal-bipyramidal metal core with a C6H5Me ligand that is terminally bound to the Rh atom that lies in the trigonal plane of the metal core. The hydrogenation of [Os5Rh2(eta6-C6H5CH3)(mu-CO)(CO)16] with [Os3(mu-H)2(CO)10] in chloroform under reflux resulted in two hydrogen-rich compounds: [Os7Rh3(mu-H)11(CO)23] 5 and [Os5Rh3Cl(mu-H)8(CO)18] 6, both in moderate yields. The reaction of [Os5Rh2(eta6-C6H5CH3)(mu-CO)(CO)16] with hydrogen in refluxing chloroform yielded a new cluster compound, [Os5Rh(mu-H)5(CO)18] 7, in 20% yield, together with a known osmium-rhodium cluster, [Os6Rh(mu-H)7(mu-CO)(CO)18], as a major compound. Clusters 5, 6, and 7 have been fully characterized by both spectroscopic and crystallographic methods. Additionally, a deuterium-exchange experiment was performed on [Os7Rh3(mu-H)11(CO)23] 5 and [Os5Rh3Cl(mu-H)8(CO)18] 6. Both the compounds proved to be able to exchange the H atom with D in the presence of D2SO4, and the absence of the hydride signal in the 1H NMR spectrum is consistent with this. Therefore, clusters 5 and 6 may serve as appropriate new hydrogen storage models.  相似文献

Three compounds are described from reactions of divalent nickel species and bicyclic guanidinate ligands. These compounds encompass a variety of nuclearities with one being triangular and having an hour-glass shape and the formula Ni3(tbn)6·2LiCl, 1, where tbn is a bicyclic guanidinate anion with fused 5/6 membered rings. A dinuclear compound [(??2-Imeth)Ni(??-tbo)]2Cl2, 2, contains two fused 5/5 membered rings (tbo) that bridge two divalent nickel atoms and also contains a chelating unit in each metal center. The neutral Imeth (1-(2,3,5,6-tetrahydro-1H-imidazo[1,2-a]imidazol-1-yl)ethanimine) is an imino-containing ligand produced by the Ni(II) catalyzed reaction of tbo with acetonitrile. A mononuclear species, [(??2-hpp)Ni(hpp)(Hhpp)]Cl, 3, is obtained from reaction of NiCl2 with the bicyclic guanidinate ligand with two fused six-member rings in contact with moisture. In all compounds each of the Ni atoms has a local square-planar arrangement common in d8 species.  相似文献

New Pt complexes of chelating bisguanidines and guanidinate ligands were synthesized and characterized. 1,2-Bis(N,N,N',N'-tetramethylguanidino)benzene (btmgb) was used as a neutral chelating bisguanidine ligand, and 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidinate (hpp(-)) as a guanidinate ligand. The salts [btmgbH](+)[HOB(C(6)F(5))(3)](-) and [btmgbH(2)]Cl(2) and the complexes [(btmgb)PtCl(2)], [(btmgb)PtCl(dmso)](+)[PtCl(3)(dmso)](-), and [(btmgb)PtCl(dmso)](+)[Cl(-)] were synthesized and characterized. In the [btmgbH](+) cation the proton is bound to only one N atom. In the other complexes, both imine N atoms are coordinated to the Pt(II), thus adopting a eta(2)-coordinational mode. The hpp(-) anion, which usually prefers a bridging binding mode in dinuclear complexes, is eta(2)-coordinated in the Pt(IV) complex [(eta(2)-hpp)(hppH)PtCl(2){N(H)C(O)CH(3)}], which is formed (in low yield) by reaction between cis-[(hppH)(2)PtCl(2)] and H(2)O(2) in CH(3)CN.  相似文献

Reaction of the lanthanide metallocene allyl complexes, (C(5)Me(5))(2)Ln(eta(3)-CH(2)CHCH(2))(THF) (Ln = Ce, Sm, Y) with 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine, Hhpp, forms a series of metallocene complexes, (C(5)Me(5))(2)Ln(hpp) (Ln = Ce, Sm, Y) in which the (hpp)(1-) anion coordinates as a terminal bidentate ligand. Isomorphous structures were observed by X-ray crystallography regardless of the size of the metal. The acetonitrile adduct, (C(5)Me(5))(2)Sm(hpp)(MeCN), was also crystallographically characterized to provide an unusual pair of eight- and nine-coordinate complexes. The coordination mode of the (hpp)(1-) anion in these complexes is compared with that in other heteroallylic metallocenes like the caprolactamate (C(5)Me(5))(2)Y(ONC(6)H(10)) and the dithiocarbamate (C(5)Me(5))(2)Sm(S(2)CNEt(2)), which was also structurally characterized.  相似文献

The syntheses of two analogues of the bicyclic guanidinate ligand hpp (hpp = the anion of the guanidine-type compound 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2a]pyrimidine) which contain two fused rings are reported. Each compound contains one seven-membered ring while the other is either a five (Htbd) or a six (Htbu) membered ring. In THF/Bu4NPF6, the dimolybdenum compounds Mo2(tbd)4 and Mo2(tbu)4 are easily oxidized and they have signals in the differential pulse voltammograms at -1.059 and -1.009 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), respectively and for the Mo2(5+/6+) couples and in the same order -0.242 and -0.312 V for the Mo2(6+/5+) couples. The two compounds produce the corresponding Mo2(bicyclic guanidinate)4Cl compounds immediately upon dissolution in CH2Cl2 and these easily form species with Mo2(6+) cores. In Mo2(tbd)4Cl there are two crystallographically independent molecules with Mo-Mo distances of 2.1711(7) and 2.1690(7) A. The distance between metal atoms increases to 2.206(1) A upon oxidation to Mo2(tbd)4Cl2 which has a triply bonded Mo2(6+) core. For the diamagnetic compound Mo2(tbu)4 this distance is 2.0677(9) A and it increases to 2.133(2) A upon reduction of the bond order from 4 to 3.5 in the paramagnetic compound Mo2(tbu)4Cl.  相似文献

The coordination behavior of [[CpMo(CO)(2)}(2)(mu,eta(2)-Sb(2))] (1; Cp = cyclopentadiene) toward Cu(I) was investigated. Its reaction with CuX (X = Br, Cl, and I) produced oligomers or polymers of the general formula [[CpMo(CO)(2)](2)(mu,eta(2)-Sb(2))(mu-CuX)](n). While 2 (X = Cl, n = 2) and 3 (X = Br, n = 2) proved to be halogen-bridged dimers in both solution and solid state, the molecules of 4 (X = I, n = infinity) self-assembled in the crystal forming a linear polymer with a Cu-I skeleton supported by Sb-Cu bonds. The reaction of 1 with Cu[GaCl(4)] resulted in the formation of the ionic complex [[CpMo(CO)(2)](2)(mu,eta(2)-Sb(2))](4)Cu(2)[GaCl(4)](2) (5). Its dication contains four [[CpMo(CO)(2)](2)(mu,eta(2)-Sb(2))] ligands arranged around a Cu-Cu dumbbell. All new compounds were characterized using IR, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry, (1)H NMR, elemental analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The ligand was oxidized by both silver(I) and copper(II), and a cyclovoltammetric study revealed that 1 suffered irreversible reduction and oxidation in a dichloromethane solution at -2.04 and 0.10 V, respectively, versus ferrocene.  相似文献

The synthesis, fluxionality and reactivity of the heterobimetallic complex [FeRu(CO)2(mu-CO)2(eta-C5H5)(eta-C5Me5)] are described. Complex exhibits enhanced photolytic reactivity towards alkynes compared to its homometallic analogues, forming the dimetallacyclopentenone complexes [FeRu(CO)(mu-CO){mu-eta]1:eta3-C(O)CR"CR'}eta]-C5H5)(eta-C5Me5)]( R'= R"= H; R'= R"= CO2Me; R'= H, R"= CMe2OH). Prolonged photolysis with diphenylethyne gives the dimetallatetrahedrane complex [FeRu(mu-CO)(mu-eta2:eta2-CPhCPh)(eta-C5H5)(eta-C5Me5)], which contains the first iron-ruthenium double bond. Complexes containing a number of organic fragments can be synthesised using , and . Heating a solution of gave the alkenylidene complex [FeRu(CO)2(mu-CO){mu-eta]1:eta2-C=C(CO2Me)2}(eta-C5H5)(eta-C5Me5)] through an unusual methylcarboxylate migration. Protonation and then addition of hydride to gives the ethylidene complex [FeRu(CO)2(mu-CO)(mu-CHCH3)(eta-C5H5)(eta-C5Me5)] via the ionic vinyl species [FeRu(CO)2(mu-CO)(mu-eta]1:eta2-CH=CH2)(eta-C5H5)(eta-C5Me5)][BF4]. Compound exhibits cis/trans isomerisation at room temperature. Protonation of dimetallacyclopentenone complexes gives the allenyl species [FeRu(CO)2(mu-CO)(mu-eta1:eta2-CH=C=CMe2)(eta-C5H5)(eta-C5Me5)][BF4]. Compound exist as three isomers, two cis and one trans. The two cis isomers are shown to be interconverting by sigma-pi isomerisation. The solid state structures of these compounds were established by X-ray crystallography and are discussed.  相似文献

Full characterization of the first homologous series of dimolybdenum paddlewheel compounds having electronic configurations of the types sigma(2)pi(4)delta(x), x = 2, 1, 0, and Mo-Mo bond orders of 4, 3.5, and 3, respectively, has been accomplished with the guanidinate-type ligand hpp (hpp = the anion of 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine). Essentially quantitative oxidation of Mo(2)(hpp)(4), 1, by CH(2)Cl(2) gives Mo(2)(hpp)(4)Cl, 2. The halide in 2 can be replaced by reaction with TlBF(4) to produce Mo(2)(hpp)(4)(BF(4)), 3. Further oxidation of 2 by AgBF(4) produces Mo(2)(hpp)(4)ClBF(4), 4. The change from bond order 4 (in 1) to 3.5 in Mo(2)(hpp)(4)Cl is accompanied by an increase in the Mo-Mo bond length of 0.061 to 2.1280(4) A. A further increase of 0.044 A in the Mo-Mo distance to 2.172(1) A is observed as the bond order decreases to 3 in 4. At the same time, the Mo-N distances decrease smoothly as the oxidation state of the Mo atoms increases. Electrochemical studies have shown two chemically reversible processes at very negative potentials, E(1)(1/2)= -0.444 V and E(2)(1/2)= -1.271 V versus Ag/AgCl. These correspond to the processes Mo(2)(6+/5+) and Mo(2)(5+/4+), respectively. The latter potential is displaced by over 1.5 V relative to those of the Mo(2)(formamidinate)(4) compounds and the first one has never been observed in such complexes. Thus, in surprising contrast to previously observed behavior of the dimolybdenum unit, when it is surrounded by the very basic guanidinate ligand hpp, there is an extraordinary stabilization of the higher oxidation numbers of the molybdenum atoms.  相似文献

The reactions of M(CO)5X (M = Mn, Re; X = Cl, Br) with (Ph2PCH2)3CCH3 (P3) and (Ph2P(CH2)2)3P (P3P') are investigated, and the products are characterized by IR, NMR (31P and 13C), and electrospray mass spectrometric (ESMS) techniques. With P3, the major products are fac-M(CO)3(eta 2-P3)X (syn and anti isomers) and cis,fac-M(CO)2(eta 3-P3)X, and with P3P', the major product for each metal is cis,mer-M(CO)2(eta 3-P3P')X, but cis-[M(CO)2(eta 4-P3P')]X and fac-[Re(CO)3(eta 3-P3P')]X are also characterized. Addition of MeI to those complexes containing pendant phosphine groups produces the corresponding phosphonium cations without affecting the remainder of the molecule. On the voltammetric time scale, electrochemical oxidation of cis,fac-Mn(CO)2(eta 3-P3)X yields the corresponding 17e cation cis,fac-[Mn(CO)2(eta 3-P3)X]+, but on the longer time scale of exhaustive electrolysis or chemical oxidation, the product is fac-[Mn(CO)3(eta 3-P3)]+. In contrast, the rhenium cation cis,fac-[Re(CO)2(eta 3-P3)X]+ is stable on the synthetic time scale, but upon oxidation of cis,fac-Re(CO)2(eta 3-P3)X with NOBF4, the final product is the 18e [Re(CO)(NO)(eta 3-P3)X]+. cis,mer-Mn(CO)2(eta 3-P3P')X is reversibly oxidized to cis,mer-[Mn(CO)2(eta 3-P3P')X]+ on the voltammetric time scale, but on the longer synthetic time scale, the product isomerizes to trans-[Mn(CO)2(eta 3-P3P')X]+, which can be reduced to trans-Mn(CO)2(eta 3-P3P')X. Upon voltammetric oxidation, the corresponding rhenium complexes show an initial irreversible response associated with the pendant phosphine group prior to the reversible oxidation of the metal on the synthetic time scale; spectroscopic data indicate formation of cis,mer-Re(CO)2(eta 3-P3P'O)X. The complex cis,mer-[Re(CO)2(eta 3-P3P'Me)X]+ shows only the reversible metal oxidation response. ESMS data are obtained directly for the methylated cationic complexes, and neutral complexes are either oxidized or adducted with sodium ions to produce cationic species.  相似文献

The reactions of the heteroleptic lithium amide [Li(3)(μ-hmds)(2)(μ,μ-hpp)] (1), where [hmds](-) = hexamethyldisilazide and [hpp](-) = hexahydropyrimidopyrimidide, with MnCl(2), CoCl(2) or ZnBr(2) result in the formation of the separated ion-pairs [MLi(7)(μ(8)-O)(μ,μ-hpp)(6)](+)[A](-), which each consist of a {MLi(7)} oxo-centred cube structural motif (M = Mn 2, Co 4, Zn 5), with each face of the cube being bridged by an [hpp](-) ligand. In the case of M = Mn and Co, the counter ion, [A](-), is the pentagonal anionic inverse crown [{Li(μ-hmds)}(5)(μ(5)-Cl)](-) (3), whereas the reaction with M = Zn produces the known tris-amido zincate [Zn(hmds)(3)](-) counter anion.  相似文献

The metal complexes [M{HB(hpp)}(2)(CO)(4)] (M = Cr, Mo or W) and [M(cod){HB(hpp)}(2)Cl] (M = Rh or Ir) of the doubly-base stabilized diborane(4) ligand [HB(hpp)](2) were fully characterized and their bonding nature was investigated in detail. While bonding in the group 6 complexes predominantly occurs through the hydrogen atoms, the metal-ligand interaction in the group 9 complexes can be regarded as an early stage oxidative addition of the boron-boron bond leading to diboryl compounds.  相似文献

Treatment of [Et(4)N][M(CO)(6)] (M = Nb, Ta) with I(2) in DME at -78 degrees C produces solutions of the bimetallic anions [M(2micro-I)(3)(CO)(8)](-). Addition of the tripodal phosphine (t)BuSi(CH(2)PMe(2))(3) (trimpsi) followed by refluxing affords (trimpsi)M(CO)(3)I [M = Nb (1), Ta (2)], which are isolable in good yields as air-stable, orange-red microcrystalline solids. Reduction of these complexes with 2 equiv of Na/Hg, followed by treatment with Diazald in THF, results in the formation of (trimpsi)M(CO)(2)(NO) [M = Nb (3), Ta (4)] in high isolated yields. The congeneric vanadium complex, (trimpsi)V(CO)(2)(NO) (5), can be prepared by reacting [Et(4)N][V(CO)(6)] with [NO][BF(4)] in CH(2)Cl(2) to form V(CO)(5)(NO). These solutions are treated with 1 equiv of trimpsi to obtain (eta(2)-trimpsi)V(CO)(3)(NO). Refluxing orange THF solutions of this material affords 5 in moderate yields. Reaction of (trimpsi)VCl(3)(THF) (6) with 4 equiv of sodium naphthalenide in THF in the presence of excess CO provides [Et(4)N][(trimpsi)V(CO)(3)] (7), (trimpsi)V(CO)(3)H, and [(trimpsi)V(micro-Cl)(3)V(trimpsi)][(eta(2)-trimpsi)V(CO)(4)].3THF ([8][9].3THF). All new complexes have been characterized by conventional spectroscopic methods, and the solid-state molecular structures of 2.(1)/(2)THF, 3-5, and [8][9].3THF have been established by X-ray diffraction analyses. The solution redox properties of 3-5 have also been investigated by cyclic voltammetry. Cyclic voltammograms of 3 and 4 both exhibit an irreversible oxidation feature in CH(2)Cl(2) (E(p,a) = -0.71 V at 0.5 V/s for 3, while E(p,a) = -0.55 V at 0.5 V/s for 4), while cyclic voltammograms of 5 in CH(2)Cl(2) show a reversible oxidation feature (E(1/2) = -0.74 V) followed by an irreversible feature (0.61 V at 0.5 V/s). The reversible feature corresponds to the formation of the 17e cation [(trimpsi)V(CO)(2)(NO)](+) ([5](+)()), and the irreversible feature likely involves the oxidation of [5](+)() to an unstable 16e dication. Treatment of 5 with [Cp(2)Fe][BF(4)] in CH(2)Cl(2) generates [5][BF(4)], which slowly decomposes once formed. Nevertheless, [5][BF(4)] has been characterized by IR and ESR spectroscopies.  相似文献

The triply bonded dirhenium(II) synthons Re(2)X(4)(mu-dppm)(2) (X = Cl, Br; dppm = Ph(2)PCH(2)PPh(2)) react with acetylene at room temperature in CH(2)Cl(2) and acetone to afford the bis(acetylene) complexes Re(2)X(4)(mu-dppm)(2)(mu:eta(2),eta(2)-HCCH)(eta(2)-HCCH) (X = Cl (3), Br(4)). Compound 3 has been derivatized by reaction with RNC ligands in the presence of TlPF(6) to give unsymmetrical complexes of the type [Re(2)Cl(3)(mu-dppm)(2)(mu:eta(2),eta(2)-HCCH)(eta(2)-HCCH)(CNR)]PF(6) (R = Xyl (5), Mes (6), t-Bu (7)), in which the RCN ligand has displaced the chloride ligand cis to the eta(2)-HCCH ligand. The reaction of 3 with an additional 1 equiv of acetylene in the presence of TlPF(6) gives the symmetrical all-cis isomer of [Re(2)Cl(3)(mu-dppm)(2)(mu:eta(2),eta(2)-HCCH)(eta(2)-HCCH)(2)]PF(6) (8). The two terminal eta(2)-HCCH ligands in 8 are very labile and can be displaced by CO and XylNC to give the complexes [Re(2)Cl(3)(mu-dppm)(2)(mu:eta(2),eta(2)-HCCH)(L)(2)]Y (L = CO when Y = PF(6) (9); L = CO when Y = (PF(6))(0.5)/(H(2)PO(4))(0.5) (10); L = XylNC when Y = PF(6) (11)). These substitution reactions proceed with retention of the all-cis stereochemistry. Single-crystal X-ray structure determinations have been carried out on complexes 3, 5, 8, 10, and 11. In no instance have we found that the acetylene ligands undergo reductive coupling reactions.  相似文献

The series of M2(hpp)4Cl2 complexes (hpp is the anion of 1,3,4,6,7,8-hexahydro-2H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidine) from M = W to M = Pt has been completed by the preparation and characterization of those with M = W, Os, and Pt. W(hpp)4Cl2 (1) has a W-W distance of 2.250(2) A, is diamagnetic, and can be assigned a W-W triple bond based on a sigma 2 pi 4 electron configuration. Os2(hpp)4Cl2 (2) has an Os-Os distance of 2.379(2) A and displays a temperature-independent paramagnetism. It can be assigned a sigma 2 pi 4 delta 2 delta*2 configuration. Pt2(hpp)4Cl2 has a Pt-Pt distance of 2.440(1) A and is diamagnetic. A bond order of 1, based on a configuration in which only the sigma* orbital is empty, is consistent with these data.  相似文献

Reaction of the methylcyclopentadienyl (Cp') cluster compound [(eta(5)-Cp')(3)Mo(3)S(4)][pts] (pts = p-toluenesulfonate) with noble metal alkene complexes resulted in the formation of four new heterobimetallic cubane-like Mo(3)S(4)M' cluster cores (M' = Ru, Os, Rh, Ir). Thus, reaction with [(1,5-cod)Ru(CO)(3)] or [(1,3-cod)Os(CO)(3)] (cod = cyclooctadiene) afforded [(eta(5)-Cp')(3)Mo(3)S(4)M'(CO)(2)][pts] (M' = Ru: [1][pts]; M' = Os: [2][pts]). When [1][pts] was kept in CH(2)Cl(2)/pentane solution, partial loss of carbonyl ligands occurred and the carbonyl-bridged dicubane cluster [((eta(5)-Cp')(3)Mo(3)S(4)Ru)(2)(mu-CO)(3)][pts](2) was isolated. An X-ray crystal structure revealed the presence of the hitherto unobserved Ru(mu-CO)(3)Ru structural element. The formation of cluster compounds containing Mo(3)S(4)Rh and Mo(3)S(4)Ir cores was achieved in boiling methanol by reacting [(eta(5)-Cp')(3)Mo(3)S(4)][pts] with [M'Cl(cyclooctene)(2)](2) (M' = Rh, Ir) in the presence of PPh(3). In this way [(eta(5)-Cp')(3)Mo(3)S(4)M'Cl(PPh(3))][pts] (M' = Rh, Ir) could be isolated. An alternative route to the Mo(3)S(4)Rh cluster core was found in the reaction of [(eta(5)-Cp')(3)Mo(3)S(4)][pts] with [RhCl(1,5-cod)](2), which yielded [(eta(5)-Cp')(3)Mo(3)S(4)Rh(cod)][pts](2) ([7][pts](2)). Substitution of the cod ligand in [7][pts](2) by 1,3-bis(diphenylphosphanyl)propane (dppp) gave [(eta(5)-Cp')(3)Mo(3)S(4)Rh(dppp)][pts](2).  相似文献
