We present measurements on the inclusive structure function for π0 photoproduction for the incident photon energy range of 2.8–4.8 GeV. Comparisons are made with electroproduction data and it is found that the scaling behaviour already observed for finite q2 continues to be valid at q2 = 0.  相似文献

The data on inclusive deep inelastic neutrino scattering at 2–30 GeV were obtained with the bubble chamber SKAT. Distributions in q2, x, y and mean q2 dependence on neutrino energy are in agreement with quark parton model.  相似文献

We calculate the exclusive semileptonic bottom meson decays \(B \to D(D*) + l^ - + \bar v_l \) in the spectator quark model. The helicity structure of the mesonic current transitionsBD(D *) is matched to the helicity structure of the free quark current transitionsbc at minimum momentum transferq 2=0. The results are continued toq 2≠=0 by pole-dominated form factors. Our results are compared to recent calculations that use quark model dynamics at maximum momentum transferq max 2 = (M 1 ?M 2)2. We find agreement atq max 2 . Atq 2=0 there are significant differences between the predictions of the two approaches leading to marked differences in the predictions for the shape of the lepton energy spectrum, the shape of theq 2-distribution, and the helicity composition of the transition measurable in the angular distributions of the decaysD *Dπ and \(W_{virtual}^ - \to l^ - + \bar v_l \) .  相似文献

The inelastic interactions of 150 GeV positive muons produced at Fermi Laboratory have been studied in nuclear emulsion. Secondary particles produced in these interactions have been identified, the energy spectra and angular distributions for pions and protons are given. The inclusive pionproduction reaction is studied and the relative shape ofp t 2 distribution is discussed. The average charged multiplicity relations are determined as a function of different parameters and are compared with the multiplicities produced in pure hadronic interactions. The integral cross sections have been measured and are compared with the first and second powers of 1/(1+q 2/m p 2 ) forσ exp(q 2,v), the quantity commonly called the “virtualphoton-nucleon total cross section”. The values of the structure function νW 2 are calculated for 0.02≤q 2≤0.5. The present data are compared with other muon data at the same energy.  相似文献

An experiment has been performed to study the inclusive photoproduction of π0 mesons. Photoproduced π0's were detected in a hodoscope consisting of 14 lead glass Cerenkov counters. To obtain the cross sections at a photon energy of 6 GeV we used the photon-difference method. Data are presented in terms of the Feynman variable x = q61(√s/2) and the trnasverse momentum q⊥. We have measured four q⊥ distributions at x = 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8. The results dhow that the π0 rate at small values of q⊥ is smaller than the π± rate. The data can be fitted smoothly by a form A exp (?Bq2) with a value about 3.5 GeV?2 for the slope parameter B.  相似文献

The deuteron elastic form factors are calculated within the Bethe-Salpeter approach with separable interaction. The charge, quadrupole, and magnetic form factors [F C(q 2), F Q(q 2), and F M(q 2), respectively]; the structure functions A(q 2) and B(q 2); and the tensor polarization components T 20(q 2, T 21(q 2), and T 22(q 2) are investigated up to ?q 2=50 fm?2. The role of relativistic effects is discussed, and a comparison with nonrelativistic calculations is performed. The effect of the neutron form factors on the deuteron form factors and especially on tensor polarization components is discussed too.  相似文献

The forward elastic scattering amplitudes Ti(v,q2), (i = 1,2), of the virtual photon with the mass q2 are considered in variables σ and ? where σ and ? are related to q2 and v by the formulae q2 = exp (2σ) and v = exp (σ) ch?. It has been proved that microcausality requirement implies the analyticity of amplitudes in the tube region [Im σ + π/2] + |Im?| < π/2 as a function of both complex variables σ and ?. The far-infrared spectrum of tetrahydrothiophene is reinvestigated with a resolution of 0.12 cm?1 in the region of 50–350 cm?1. In addition to the bend transitions (νb) below 120 cm?1 reported previously, a number of sequences revealed by the improved resolution are observed for the first time and assigned to transitions of 2νb, of the twist (νt), and of difference combinations (νt - νb). Simple one-dimensional modeling of the twist sequence, which is derived from a self-consistent bend-twist energy level diagram, with a quadratic-quartic Hamiltonian suggests a barrier to planarity on the order of 4250 cm?1. A two-dimensional potential function in the dimensionless coordinates is found to be V(qb, qt) = ?249.6qb2 + 4.48qb4 ? 215.5qt2 + 2.73qt4 + 7.00qb2qt2.  相似文献

We advance the notion of a dynamical, scale-dependent Hausdorff dimension for hadronic matter. The physical motivations behind such a concept are explained. For very small scales, we relate this dimension to the anomalous dimension of the product of two momentum densities. For hadrons, we rely on the precocious onset of Bjorken scaling in e-p inelastic scattering and a heuristic parton model to obtain the Hausdorff dimensional profile for the proton d(q2) as a function of the probing photon momentum q2. We find that d reaches a maximum around d = 1 for a range of low q2 values. This feature is indicative of a string-like structure of the hadrons at low momentum transfers.  相似文献

The spectra of secondary ion emission under the bombardment of a B-doped Si target by multiply charged Si q+ ions (q = 1?C5) have been studied in the energy range of 1 to 10 keV per unit of charge. A multifold increase in the yield of secondary cluster Sk n + ions, multiply charged Si q/+ ion (q = 1?C3), and H+, C+, B+, Si2N+, Si2O+ is observed as the charge of the multiply charged ions increases. The increase in the yield of secondary ions with increasing charge of the multiply charged-ion charge is most significant for ions with relatively high ionization potentials.  相似文献

We suggest that hybrid (qqg) mesons could exist with rather light masses. The spectrum of the ground state nonets, JPC = (0, 1, 2)?+; 1?? is calculated in the MIT bag model including O(αs) energy shifts. We discuss hadronic transitions among these states, consider their possible production at LEAR and SPEAR and indicate some interesting decay signatures.  相似文献

We report on an experiment where the different contributions from the transverse and longitudinal polarization of the virtual photon are measured separately for the reaction e?p→e?π+n. The data taken above the resonance region at small ∣t∣ values in the q2 range of ∣q2∣ < 0.5 GeV2 show a clear dominance of the longitudinal part of the cross section and are well described by a generalized Born-term model. Using this model the electromagnetic form factor of the pion is determined. At q2 = ?0.35 GeV2 one gets Fπ = 0.598 ± 0.021.  相似文献

The electroproduction of π0-mesons on protons has been measured with electrons of 1.7 and 2.1 GeV energy in the region of the nucleon resonances at \(W = \sqrt {(q + p)^2 } = 1,400 - 2,000MeV\) at rather low values of |q 2|=|(e?e′)2|=0.01–0.1 GeV2 but at high values of the nucleon recoil |t|=|(p?p′)2|≈0.6–2.2 GeV2 corresponding to \(\Theta _\pi ^{cm} \approx 145^ \circ - 180^ \circ\) . Up toW≈1,650 MeV the cross section for π0-production with virtual photons of |q 2|≈0.03 GeV2 is only slightly smaller than that with real photons. ForW?1,700 MeV the cross section at |q 2|≈0.03 GeV2 is on average a factor of 2 smaller than that atq 2=0 but only slightly higher than that at |q 2|≈0.3–1 GeV2.  相似文献

We report the measurement of the reaction e+ + e? → hadronic jets at a center-of-mass energy √s=30 GeV using the MARK-J detector at PETRA. By measuring the energy and angular distribution of both neutrals and charged particles we were able to isolate unambiguously the three-jet events in a kinematic region where the backgrounds from qq and phase space contributions and other processes are small. Various comparisons of the data with quantum chromodynamics were made. The relative yield of three-jet events and the shape distribution of the events enable us to determine αs = 0.23 ± 0.02 (statistical error) with a systematic error of ± 0.04.  相似文献

A finite-momentum-transfer test of CVC is given by analyzing the latest experimental data in the A = 12 system in the elementary particle treatment of nuclei. The test is completely model independent and is based on the fact that nuclear form factors are relatively rapidly varying functions of q2. It is shown that the electromagnetic and weak nuclear form factors in the A = 12 system have, as predicted by CVC, the same q2 dependence within ≈ 6%, at least up to q2mμ2.  相似文献

The effective anomalous magnetic moment of the electron vanishes at short distances because the electrodynamic form factor F2(q2) vanishes for |q2| → ∞. The effective potential due to the interaction between the anomalous magnetic moment and the Coulomb field of a nucleus only diverges logarithmically at short distances, and not, as might naively be expected, quadratically. There are no other bound states of an electron in a Coulomb field than the well-known atomic states. In particular, there is no room for high mass resonances emulating the ψ as suggested by Barut and Kraus.  相似文献

Quenching of phosphorescence of Pd-tetrabenzoporphyrin (Pd-TBP) and Pd-etioporphyrin I (Pd-EP) by the Cu-EP molecules was studied using pulsed photoexcitation. The rate constant of quenching (K q) by the Cu-EP molecules was found to be 2.3×109 1/(mol s) for the low lying triplet state (TS) of Pd-Ep and 5.8×108 1/(mol s) for the TS of Pd-TBP. It is concluded that the quenching was caused by the intermolecular energy transfer, and the low value of K q for Pd-TBP can be explained by the fact that the level of Cu-EP (X), to which the energy is transferred, lies above the TS of Pd-TBP (E T=12 900 cm?1). Based on the results obtained and the published data, it is assumed that the energy transfer proceeds via the formation of long-lived excited complexes of interacting molecules. With the K q value for Pd-TBP and the results of kinetic analysis of the adopted quenching mechanism, the difference between the energy of states, involved in energy transfer, and the X state energy are determined (E X=13 520 cm?1 and E T=14 500 cm?1 for Cu-EP). Some specific features of photophysical and luminescence properties of Cu-porphyrins are explained by the presence of such a state related to the excitation of the copper ion.  相似文献

Eight angular distributions measured for 18+, π?)18Ne(gs) across the Δ33 resonance show the details of the energy dependence of the reaction. At higher energies, the maximum is at q ? 0.85 fm?1, in agreement with simple sequential scattering models, but a lower energies it is at q ? 0.5 fm?1, with the transition occuring over a narrow energy range.  相似文献
