In this article, we consider the dynamics of N two-dimensional boson systems interacting through a pair potential N-1Va(xi-xj) where Va(x) = a-2V (x/a). It is well known that the Gross-Pitaevskii (GP) equation is a nonlinear Schrdinger equation and the GP hierarchy is an infinite BBGKY hierarchy of equations so that if ut solves the GP equation, then the family of k-particle density matrices {k ut, k ≥ 1} solves the GP hierarchy. Denote by ψN,t the solution to the N-particle Schrdinger equation. Under the assumption that a = N-ε for 0 ε 3/4, we prove that as N →∞ the limit points of the k-particle density matrices of ψN,t are solutions of the GP hierarchy with the coupling constant in the nonlinear term of the GP equation given by ∫V (x) dx.  相似文献

We study the degenerate parabolic equation tu=a(δ(x))upΔug(u) in Ω×(0,∞), where ΩRN (N?1) is a smooth bounded domain, p?1, δ(x)=dist(x,∂Ω) and a is a continuous nondecreasing function such that a(0)=0. Under some suitable assumptions on a and g we prove the existence and the uniqueness of a classical solution and we study its asymptotic behavior as t→∞.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to answering a question asked recently by Y. Li regarding geometrically interesting integral equations. The main result is to give a necessary and sufficient condition on the parameters so that the integral equation with parameters to be discussed in this paper have regular solutions. In the case such condition is satisfied, we will write down the exact solution. As its application of our method, we should show that the non-existence theory of the solutions of prescribed scalar curvature equation on Sn can be generalized to that of prescribed Branson-Paneitz Q-curvature equations on Sn.  相似文献

A solution of the Abel equation such that x(0)=x(1) is called a periodic orbit of the equation. Our main result proves that if there exist two real numbers a and b such that the function aA(t)+bB(t) is not identically zero, and does not change sign in [0,1] then the Abel differential equation has at most one non-zero periodic orbit. Furthermore, when this periodic orbit exists, it is hyperbolic. This result extends the known criteria about the Abel equation that only refer to the cases where either A(t)?0 or B(t)?0 does not change sign. We apply this new criterion to study the number of periodic solutions of two simple cases of Abel equations: the one where the functions A(t) and B(t) are 1-periodic trigonometric polynomials of degree one and the case where these two functions are polynomials with three monomials. Finally, we give an upper bound for the number of isolated periodic orbits of the general Abel equation , when A(t), B(t) and C(t) satisfy adequate conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a discrete version of the following semilinear heat equation with absorption utuuq with q>1, which is said to be the ω-heat equation with absorption on a network. Using the discrete Laplacian operator Δω on a weighted graph, we define the ω-heat equations with absorption on networks and give their physical interpretations. The main concern is to investigate the large time behaviors of nontrivial solutions of the equations whose initial data are nonnegative and the boundary data vanish. It is proved that the asymptotic behaviors of the solutions u(x,t) as t tends to +∞ strongly depend on the sign of q−1.  相似文献

In this paper a porous medium equation with a moving localized source ut=uru+af(u(x0(t),t))) is considered. It is shown that under certain conditions solutions of the above equation blow up in finite time for large a or large initial data while there exist global positive solutions to the above equation for small a or small initial data. Moreover, in one space dimension case, it is also shown that all global positive solutions of the above equation are uniformly bounded, and this differs from that of a porous medium equation with a local source.  相似文献

In this paper necessary and sufficient conditions of null-controllability and approximate null-controllability are obtained for the wave equation on a half-axis. Controls solving these problems are found explicitly. Moreover, bang-bang controls solving the approximate null-controllability problem are constructed with the aid of solutions of a frequency extinguishing problem in the restricted band (−a,a) for this equation and the Markov power moment problem.  相似文献

We give an upper bound for the solutions of the family of cubic Thue inequalities |x3+axy2+by3|?k when a is positive and larger than a certain value depending on b. For the case k=a+|b|+1 and a?360b4 we show that these inequalities have only trivial solutions. For the case k=a+|b|+1 and |b|=1,2, we solve these inequalities for all a?1. Our method is based on Padé approximations using Rickert's integrals. We also use a generalization of Legendre's theorem on continued fractions.  相似文献

We prove smoothing estimates for Schrödinger equations it?+x(a(x)x?)=0 with a(x)∈BV, real and bounded from below. We then bootstrap these estimates to obtain optimal Strichartz and maximal function estimates, all of which turn out to be identical to the constant coefficient case. We also provide counterexamples showing a∈BV to be in a sense a minimal requirement. Finally, we provide an application to sharp well-posedness for a generalized Benjamin-Ono equation.  相似文献

In this paper, we give an optimal logarithmic Sobolev inequality on Rn with Lipschitz constants. This inequality is a limit case of the Lp-logarithmic Sobolev inequality of Gentil (2003) [7] as p→∞. As a result of our inequality, we show that if a Lipschitz continuous function f on Rn fulfills some condition, then its Lipschitz constant can be expressed by using the entropy of f. We also show that a hypercontractivity of exponential type occurs in the heat equation on Rn. This is due to the Lipschitz regularizing effect of the heat equation.  相似文献

Up to now, how to solve a fuzzy relation equation in a complete Brouwerian lattice is still an open problem as Di Nola et al. point out. To this problem, the key problem is whether there exists a minimal element in the solution set when a fuzzy relation equation is solvable. In this paper, we first show that there is a minimal element in the solution set of a fuzzy relation equation AX=b (where A=(a1,a2,…,an) and b are known, and X=(x1,x2,…,xn)T is unknown) when its solution set is nonempty, and b has an irredundant finite join-decomposition. Further, we give the method to solve AX=b in a complete Brouwerian lattice under the same conditions. Finally, a method to solve a more general fuzzy relation equation in a complete Brouwerian lattice when its solution set is nonempty is also given under similar conditions.  相似文献

First, we shall deal with the free vibrations of a nonlinear radially symmetric wave equation (t2−△)u=f(r,u) in n-dimensional ball Ba with center at the origin and radius a, where f is smooth, monotone decreasing in u, and satisfies f(r,0)=0. f(r,u) has asymptotic properties . For n=1,3 we shall show the existence of infinitely many radially symmetric time-periodic solutions with different periods of irrational multiple of a. Second, we shall deal with BVP for a forced nonlinear wave equation (t2−△)u=εg(r,t,u), where g is T-periodic in t and ε is a small parameter. Under some Diophantine condition on a/T we shall show the existence of time-periodic solutions of the BVP. For 1?n?5 we shall construct infinitely many T satisfying the above Diophantine inequality, using asymptotic expansions of the zero points of the Bessel functions.  相似文献

Let X be a complex Banach space and let I=(a,b) be an open interval. In this paper, we will prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of the differential equation ty(t)+αy(t)+βtrx0=0 for the class of continuously differentiable functions , where α, β and r are complex constants and x0 is an element of X. By applying this result, we also prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of the Euler differential equation of second order.  相似文献

A Banach algebra A of functionals on C[a, b] is introduced and it is proved that the operator-valued Feynman integral recently defined by Cameron and Storvick exists for functionals in A. Two existence theorems of Cameron and Storvick are seen to be special cases of this result; in fact, even in these cases, the present theorem gives improved results.Cameron and Storvick have used their function space integral to give a solution to an integral equation formally equivalent to Schroedinger's equation; using our existence theorem, we give a relatively brief and transparent proof of this result.  相似文献

We extend some previous results for the damped wave equation in bounded domains in to the unbounded case. In particular, we show that if the damping term is of the form αa with bounded a taking on negative values on a set of positive measure, then there will always exist unbounded solutions for sufficiently large positive α.In order to prove these results, we generalize some existing results on the asymptotic behaviour of eigencurves of one-parameter families of Schrödinger operators to the unbounded case, which we believe to be of interest in their own right.  相似文献

We present a study of n-colored rooted maps in orientable and locally orientable surfaces. As far as we know, no work on these maps has yet been published. We give a system of n functional equations satisfied by n-colored orientable rooted maps regardless of genus and with respect to edges and vertices. We exhibit the solution of this system as a vector where each component has a continued fraction form and we deduce a new equation generalizing the Dyck equation for rooted planar trees. Similar results are shown for n-colored rooted maps in locally orientable surfaces.  相似文献
