The (2 + 1) photoionization mass spectra of Xe2 molecules are studied in a supersonic jet upon excitation by laser radiation in the energy range 80321.3–77821 cm?1, corresponding to the dissociation of the Xe2 molecule into atoms Xe(1 S 0) + Xe*(6p, 5d). Several vibrational progressions are observed, which are attributed to two-photon transitions of Xe2 from the ground state to the excited states of the O + g, 1g, and 2g symmetries. Based on the analysis of these progressions, the molecular constants of a number of excited states of Xe2 are estimated.  相似文献

Data on excited states of XeKr molecules in the energy range 78280–77600 cm?1 are obtained. Using the method of multiphoton laser photoionization of molecules in a supersonic jet, five vibrational progressions of XeKr molecules are obtained, which are attributed to five electronic-vibrational transitions from the ground state of the XeKr molecule of the symmetry 0+ to excited states of the symmetry Ω = 0+, 1, 2 with the dissociation limit Kr1 S 0 + Xe*6p[5/2]2 and of the symmetry Ω = 1, 2 with the dissociation limit Kr + Xe*6 p [5/2]3. The molecular constants of the corresponding excited states of the XeKr molecule are estimated.  相似文献

The electronic spectra of XeNe molecules in the range of 77100-90100 cm-1 are measured by the method of laser resonance multiphoton ionization in a supersonic jet. The photoionization spectra are obtained upon two- and three-photon excitations of molecules and their ionization by the next photon. In the range of 80300-90100 cm-1 near Xe*(5d, 6p’, 6d, 7s, and 7p), the spectra are obtained for the first time. A whole number of vibrational systems are measured in this range. The majority of vibrational systems near Xe* (5d, 6d, 7p, and 7s) are located in the red range with respect to their dissociation limits. In the blue range with respect to the dissociation limits, continua corresponding to transitions of molecules from the ground state to repulsive potential curves of excited states are detected. For a number of excited states of XeNe molecules, the vibrational analysis is performed and molecular constants are estimated.  相似文献

The spectra of Xe2, XeKr, and XeAr molecules in the range 66 500–68 800 cm?1 are obtained by the methods of (2 + n) and (3 + n) (n = 1, 2, 3) resonance multiphoton ionization during the registration of molecular and atomic ions. The combining of two-and three-photon resonance excitations of Xe2 molecules makes it possible to obtain the spectra caused by transitions from the ground state X0 g + to the excited states of Xe*6s[3/2] 1,2 o Xe1 S 0 molecules both of the even (0 g + , 1 g ) and of the odd (B0 u + , B′1 u , 2 u ) symmetries. The data on the Ω = 2 u state of the Xe2 molecule with the dissociation limit Xe*6s[3/2] 2 o + Xe1 S 0 and on the Ω = 1 state of the XeAr molecule with the dissociation limit Xe*6s[3/2] 1 o + Ar1 S 0 are obtained for the first time. The potential curve of the excited 2 u state of the Xe*6s[3/2] 2 o Xe1 S 0 molecule is repulsive and intersects the potential curve of the B0 u + state of the Xe*6s[3/2] 1 o Xe1 S 0 molecule. In the case of the three-photon excitation, it is observed that all the bands in the spectra of XeKr and XeAr molecules are broadened and are shifted, which indicates that, in an intense light field, the influence of the dynamic Stark effect is significant.  相似文献

本文研究了Xe(6p[1/2]0, 6p[3/2]2, and 6p[5/2]2)原子在聚焦条件下的动力学过程. 激发能级的原子密度在聚焦条件下会显著地增加,因此两个高激发态原子之间的energy-pooling碰撞的概率也会增加. 这种energy-pooling碰撞主要有三种类型. 第一种类型为energy-pooling碰撞导致的电离. 一旦将激发激光聚焦,就可以从侧面的窗口观察到非常明显的电离现象,不论激发能级是6p[1/2]0、6p[3/2]2或6p[5/2]2能级. 这种电离的产生机理是energy-pooling电离或者一个Xe*原子再吸收一个光子产生电离. 第二种类型为跨越较大能极差的energy-pooling碰撞. 当激发能级为6p[1/2]0能级的情况下,两个6p[1/2]0原子碰撞会产生一个5d[3/2]1原子和一个6s''[1/2]0原子. 第三种类型为跨越较小能级差的energy-pooling碰撞. 以5个二次产生的6p能级为上能级的荧光强度都变得更强,并且这些荧光的上升沿都变得更陡峭. 产生这些6p原子的主要机理是energy-pooling碰撞并非简单的碰撞弛豫. 基于理想气体原子之间的碰撞概率公式,推导出两个6p[1/2]0原子的energy-pooling碰撞速率为6.39x108s-1. 此外,6s原子在聚焦条件下的密度也会增加. 因此所有的荧光曲线会因为辐射俘获效应而出现非常严重的拖尾.  相似文献

Coincidence spectra of energetic electrons with threshold electrons were measured following photo-excitation of the Xe 4d3/2, 5/2  np resonances, in order to investigate the origin of threshold electrons, and the mechanism leading to formation of the Xe2+ 5p−2 and 5s−15p−1 final states. A two-step decay process was observed in the production of Xe2+ 5p−2(1D) following decay of the 7p resonance, where the intermediate state is Xe+* 5p−2(1S)8p that autoionizes emitting a pseudo-threshold electron. This process was confirmed in a time-of-flight analysis of the coincidence spectra of the energetic electrons with the threshold photoelectrons. It is suggested that a similar two-step process also contributes to the population of excited Xe2+ states and is the main origin for the production of threshold electrons in decay of the 4d−1 np resonances.  相似文献

Rydberg states of the odd-parity series 6p 2(3 p 0)n p of BiI are excited by a three-photon process. A two-photon dissociation of Bi2 into excited atomic states followed by a one-photon absorption leads to highly excited atomic Rydberg states up ton = 32. States of the even-parity Rydberg series 6p 2(3 p 0)nsJ=1/2,ndJ=3/2 andndJ=5/2 are also observed. In order to avoid the background caused by ionization of the bismuth molecules we performed a two-color excitation with pulsed dye lasers. With this experiment the 6p 2(3 p 0)npJ=3/2 Rydberg series could be resolved up ton=75. The increasing quantum defect of this series is due to a perturbing state close to the first ionization limit. By a MQDT analysis we obtain the energy of the perturbing state and a value of 58,761.68±0.1 cm?1 for the first ionization limit of atomic bismuth.  相似文献

The formation of ultracold metastable RbCs molecules is observed in a double species magneto-optical trap through photoassociation below the 85Rb(5S1/2) + 133Cs(6P3/2) dissociation limit followed by spontaneous emission. The molecules are detected by resonance enhanced two-photon ionization. Using accurate quantum chemistry calculations of the potential energy curves and transition dipole moment, we interpret the observed photoassociation process as occurring at short internuclear distance, in contrast with most previous cold atom photoassociation studies. The vibrational levels excited by photoassociation belong to the 5th 0+ or the 4th 0? electronic states correlated to the Rb(5P1/2, 3/2) + Cs(6S1/2) dissociation limit. The computed vibrational distribution of the produced molecules shows that they are stabilized in deeply bound vibrational states of the lowest triplet state. We also predict that a noticeable fraction of molecules is produced in the lowest level of the electronic ground state.  相似文献

Dissociative multiple photoionization of the bromine, the iodine monobromide, and the iodine molecules in the Br(3d,3p,3s) and I(4d,4p,4s,3d,3p) inner-shell regions has been studied by using time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectrometry coupled to synchrotron radiation in the ranges of 90∼978 eV for Br2, 60∼133 eV for IBr, and 86∼998 eV for I2. Total photoion and photoion–photoion coincidence (PIPICO) yields have been recorded as functions of the photon energy. Here, giant shape resonances have been observed beyond the thresholds of the inner-shells owing to the Br(3d10)→Br(3d9ϵf), I(4d10)→I(4d9ϵf), and I(3d10)→I(3d9ϵf) transitions. The dissociation processes of the multiply charged parent ions have also been evaluated from variations of photoelectron–photoion coincidence (PEPICO) and PIPICO spectra with the photon energy. From each Br(3p3/2) (189.9 eV) and I(4p3/2) threshold (129.9 eV), quintuple ionization of the molecules begins to play important roles in the photoionization, subsequently yielding ion pairs of X3+–X2+ (X=Br, I). From the I(3d5/2) threshold (627.3 eV), loss of six electrons from iodine molecule additionally begins to play a minor role in the multiple photoionization, giving rise to the formation of ion pairs of either I3+–I3+ or I4+–I2+. A direct comparison of the strengths and the ranges of the I(4d) and Br(3d) giant resonances was successfully made from dissociative photoionization of IBr. Over the entire energy range examined, 60<E<133 eV, biased charge spread relevant to the specific core-hole states of IBr is observed, presumably reflecting the fact that charge localizes mostly in the excited atoms, which can be accounted for mainly by a two step decay via a fast dissociation followed by autoionization upon the VUV absorption.  相似文献

The weak fragments of the 3p1/2, 3p3/2, 2f5/2, 2f7/2 and 1i13/2 proton states of209Bi as seen in the208Pb (3He,d) reaction can be explained with the coupling of the renormalised proton states and the vibrational states of208Pb. The energies of the zerothorder proton shell-model states as well as the collective admixtures of the weak fragmented proton states of209Bi have been deduced from the core-particle coupling model.  相似文献

A search for deeply bound pionic states of xenon produced in the 136Xe(d, 3He)135Xeπ-bound reaction at E d = 500 MeV is reported. The population of the 1s pionic-atom state of 135Xe is observed on the predicted level of the cross section ~ 40 μb/sr. The binding energy of the 1s state, B = 2.9 ± 0.5 MeV, however, is lower than theoretically predicted.  相似文献

Excited states in127, 128Xe were populated in the reaction9Be+122Sn atE lab=38 MeV. The de-excitation of the isomeric states 7/2+ in127Xe and 8? in128Xe was studied using angular distribution and TDPAD methods on molten122Sn targets. The results are $$\begin{gathered} T_{1/2} (7/2^ + ) = 37 \pm 1 ns, g(7/2^ + ) = + 0.241 \pm 0.009 \hfill \\ T_{1/2} (8^ - ) = 83 \pm 2 ns, g(8^ - ) = - 0.036 \pm 0.009. \hfill \\ \end{gathered}$$ The experimentalg-factors suggest the main configurationsvg 7/2 andvh 11/2 g 7/2 for the isomeric states. Detailed analysis of the combined information fromg-factors and transition rates set stringent limits on the admixtures of the wave functions. The quasirotational bands built on the two-quasiparticle 6? and 10+ states are extended to higher spins, (14?) and (16+), respectively, and their structures are analyzed within the framework of the Interacting Boson Model.  相似文献

Integral cross sections for fission and for one- and two-neutron transfer reactions in the system132Xe+238U were measured radiochemically in the energy range 0.7≦E/E Coul≦1. The excitation functions for fission and transfer are found to be essentially parallel below 0.85×E Coul. Even at the lowest energies the transfer cross sections exceed the fission cross section by more than one order of magnitude. With the other projectiles129Xe and136Xe different transfer cross sections illustrating their sensitivity for the ground stateQ-values,Q gg , are observed while the fission cross sections are the same as in the132Xe +238U reaction. The fission data are interpreted in terms of a continuous transition between Coulomb fission and several transfer-induced fission processes.  相似文献

Low-lying excited states of 124,126Xe and 132Ba have been studied by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy in (p, xny) reactions. Excitation functions, angular distributions and γ-γ coincidence spectra were obtained. The 22+ , 3+, 42+ and 5+ levels were observed at the following excitation energies in keV: 846.4(22+), 1247.5(3+), 1437.3 (42+), 1836.6(5+) in 124Xe, 879.7(22+), 1317.3(3 +), 1488.2(42+), 1903.1(5 +) in 126Xe and 1032.1(22+), 1511.3(3+), 1729.9(42+) in 132Ba. The 2214.3 and 2561.7 keV levels in 126Xe were tentatively assigned as the 62+ and 7+ levels, respectively. These 22+, 3 +, 42+, 5+, 62+and 7+ levels are interpreted as members of a quasi-γ band. The E2/M1 mixing ratios of the 22+ → 21+ transitions in 124,126Xe and 132Ba were obtained as + 6.3+5.3?2.0 + 10.87.8?3.2 and + 8.3+4.9?2.2, respectively.  相似文献

The photoionization cross-sections from the 2p2P1/2, 3/2, 3d2D3/2, 5/2 and 3s2S1/2 excited states of lithium have been measured at different ionizing laser wavelengths, above the first ionization threshold. The experiments are performed by using a thermionic diode working in the space charge limited mode and the cross-sections are measured by employing the saturation technique. By changing the ionization photon energy, a smooth frequency dependence of the cross-sections has been observed for the 2p and 3d states. The cross-section from the 3s excited state has been measured at a single photon energy. The measured values of the photoionization cross are compared with the available data.  相似文献

Measurements of the hyperfine structures in the 6p5d 1 D 2,3 D 1 and3 F 2, 3, 4 states of135Ba and137Ba, and isotope-shifts in several far-red transitions between the 6s 5d and 6p 5d configurations, as well as the transition 6s 2 1 S 0→6s6p 3 P 1 at 7,911 Å have been performed using high-resolution laser spectroscopy on a collimated atomic beam of natural barium. An analysis of the magnetic-dipole interaction in the 6p 5d configuration using effective one- and two-body hyperfine operators is presented. In particular the contact interaction was studied with respect to the correlation between the two valence electrons. Effects of strong configuration interaction were found. From a King-plot analysis of the isotope shift term- andJ-dependence of the field shift have been evaluated for the transitions between the 6s 5d and 6p 5d configurations. Relativistic Hartree-Fock (RHF) calculations have been performed of electron densities at the nucleus for six different configurations in Ba I and Ba II. The RHF calculations reproduce the experimental King-plot slopes quite well, while the absolute values, of the changes in electron density at the nucleus for the studied transitions, are found to be 9% lower than the results derived from a muonic experiment.  相似文献

Using the light absorption technique in a 132Xe afterglow plasma, we have measured the relative transition probabilities for several xenon lines which have the metastable 6s[32]2 or the resonant 6s[32]1 states as their lowest transition level. Because the transition probabilities of the 8819 Å (6p[52]3 ? 6s[32]2) and 8280 Å (6p[12]0 ? 6s[32]1) lines are relatively well known, we have chosen these as reference lines and have thus been able to determine the absolute values of the transition probabilities for 19 xenon lines corresponding to transitions from 6p, 6p′, 7p, 8p, 9p, 4f and 5f to 6s[32]2, and for four lines corresponding to the transitions 6p?6s[32]1.  相似文献

High-spin structures in the neutron-rich nuclei138Xe and139Xe have been investigated by observing prompt γ -rays from the spontaneous fission of248Cm with the Eurogam spectrometer. The partial level schemes were constructed on the basis of double-, triple- and quadruple-γ coincidences. The ground state band in138Xe has been extended up to 5 MeV excitation energy. The structure of the newly observed medium-spin states in139Xe is similar to the one of heavier N=85 isotones where vf 7 2/3 , vh9/2f 7 2/2 and vf 7 2/3 ? 3? multiplets have been observed.  相似文献

Optical excitation functions were measured for Xenon emission lines. The Xe III 5s 5p 5 levels are excited in two different processes, by a direct two electron ejection and by a 4d ionization followed by an Auger decay. An emission line found at 1089.0 Å is excited by 4d ionization. This line is assigned to the Xe III transition 5s5p 5 1 P 0 —5s 0 5p 6 1 S. The1 S energy level amounts to 26.14 eV.  相似文献
