Absolute differential cross sections for elastic electron-proton scattering have been measured in a four-momentum transfer range up to 1.4 fm?2. Using a high pressure gas target system, we have obtained highly accurate data with a small normalization error of 0.5%. The electromagnetic form factors GE and GM have been extracted and the rms charge radius has been determined to be 〈r2Ep12 = 0.862±0.012 fm. The shape of the isovector spectral function near threshold shows a significant non-resonant contribution of the two-pion state. This enhancement is so strong that the derivative at q2 = 0 differs considerably from the usual vector meson dominance model value. This result is in good agreement with theoretical predictions.  相似文献

The pion form factor is measured in the reaction e+e?π+π? for center of mass energies in the range 480–1100 MeV. Our results are first analysed in terms of the conventional Vector Meson Dominance formalism, and then taking into account the ωπ inelastic channel. The result of this later formalism is a pion form factor (Fπ) which fits quite well all the existing data on Fπ both in the timelike and spacelike regions, and pion mean square radius of 〈rπ2〉 = 0.460 ± 0.011 fm2 or 〈rπ212 = 0.678 ± 0.008 fm.  相似文献

Elastic scattering of polarized protons from sd and fp shell nuclei has been studied with high-purity germanium detectors. The mean square radius of the central real part of the fitted optical potential was found to be of the form a+bA23. Comparison with the radius from electron scattering gives the range of the effective two-body interaction and its A dependence as r2d=(4.5±0.4)+(0.16±0.03)A23fm2.  相似文献

A correct calculation of the Ising model correlation function C(q) = 〈(S(q) ? 〈S(q)〉) (S(-q) ? 〈S(-q)〉)〉 in the MFA results in
C(q)=〈S2〉?〈〉21?(〈S2〉?〈S〉2βJ(q1Nq11?〈S〉2βJ(q)?1C(q) fulfills the exact sum rule N-1 ΣqC(q) = 〈S2〉 ? 〈S〉2

π+ and π? elastic and inelastic scattering from 18O have been measured at T(π)=164 MeV. Consistent with the results at 230 MeV, it is found that the ratio σ(π?)σ(π+) for the 21+ state is 1.86(16), while for the 31? state it is 0.89(6). These results are interpreted as indicating differences in neutron and proton deformations characterizing the 21+ transition and partial neutron blocking for the 31? transition. Optical model analysis of elastic scattering leads to the conclusion that 〈rn212?〈rp212=0.03(3) fm.  相似文献

Muonic X-ray energies of the K-series of the carbon isotopes 13C and 14C have been determined relative to 12C. For the first time, muonic atom measurements using radioactive 14C have been performed. Model-independent equivalent nuclear charge radii Rk,α and their differences have been deduced. The Rk,α radii increase by 10(14) and 32(11) am respectively with the filling of the 1p12 neutron Subshell. The results are compared with recent elastic electron scattering data. The former natural carbon data have been reanalysed using a new value for the nuclear polarization. In terms of the rms charge radius, we then obtain 〈r212 = 2.472(16) fm for the 12C isotope.  相似文献

The charge density wave transition in 2H-TaS2near 75 K has been observed to be incommensurate, using electron diffraction, with q1 = (0.338 ± 0.002)a10 along the 〈10.0〉 directions which, within the experimental uncertainty, remains temperature independent to about 14 K. Incommensurate charge density formation is also observed in AgxTaS2 samples for x?0.26 with an increase in q1 to (0.347 ± 0.002)a10 when x?0.26. Within the experimental error q1 appears to be temperature independent to 25 K.  相似文献

The difference of the cross sections for deep inelastic scattering of muons with average momenta 21 GeV/c with right and left helicity at large angles, i.e., with large momentum transfer, has been measured. No statistically-significant dependence of cross sections on the longitudinal polarization of muons has been found, i.e. no parity-nonconservation effects in deep inelastic μN interaction have been observed. The magnitude of the cross-section asymmetry R = [〈σR〉 ? 〈σL〉][〈σR〉+ + 〈σL〉] may be represented as R = βQ2〉 = (? 4 ± 6) × 10?3Q2, (GeV/c)2〉. The limitations Go(μ) = (+ 6 ± 10)G have been obtained for the constant Go(μ) of vector-axial interaction (Go(μ)2) [μγα(1 + γ5)μ] Jαo (hadron, V-A).  相似文献

Double differential cross sections for electron-3He scattering leading to continuum states were measured between break-up threshold and the region of quasi-free interaction in a momentum transfer range of 1 fm?2 < ¦q¦2 < 2.5 fm?2. The cross sections for the quasi-free scattering calculated in plane-wave impulse approximation were found to be in good agreement with the experimental results for momentum transfer ¦q¦ > 1.5 fm?1.  相似文献

A fluctuation analysis technique and the comparison of experimentally deduced strength distributions with a statistical one have been used to extract level densities as a function of excitation energy from high-resolution inelastic electron scattering spectra. Both methods yield for the Jπ = 2? states around Ex = 9 MeV in 90Zr mean level spacings 〈D〉 = 6.5±1.6 keV and 〈D〉 = 5.5 ± 1.5 keV, respectively. Those level densities are then employed to estimate the magnetic quadrupole strength that is hidden in the background and escaped direct experimental detection.  相似文献

The first observation of cyclotron resonance in p-type InP is reported. The holes were thermally excited at 110 K and the resonance was observed at 337μm wavelength (HCN laser) using a pulsed magnetic field of 0–350 kG. The effective masses of the light and heavy holes in the 〈111〉 direction were found to be m1L = 0.12 ± 0.01 m0, m1H = 0.60 ± 0.02 m0 and in the 〈100〉 direction m1L = 0.12 ± 0.01 m0, m1H = 0.56 ± 0.02 m0. We obtain an estimate of the Dresselhaus parameters A = ?5.04, |B| = 3.12, C2 = 6.57. We also report the effective masses for p-type GaP in the 〈111〉 direction as m1L = 0.18 ± 0.02 m0, m1H = 0.56 ± 0.04 m0.  相似文献

Starting from the Fubini-Dashen-Gell-Mann sum rule, we relate the slope of the pion electromagnetic form factor at t = 0 to the rotational properties of the photopion production amplitudes. When the pion's charge radius is calculated with a simple short range correlation model for the production amplitudes (diffractive processes being forbidden), the result is 〈rπ212 = 0.8fm.  相似文献

The inclusive production of Ξ+ and Ξ? hyperons is investigated in K+ p interactions at 32 GeV/c. The production cross sections, 36.4±9 μb for the Ξ+ and 6.5±3 μb for the Ξ?, are rising strongly with energy similarly to Λ and Λ production in K+ p interactions. The Ξ+ are produced preferentially in the forward direction in the c.m.s., while the Ξ? are produced dominantly backwards. The average transverse momenta 〈pTΞ+=0.73±0.09 GeV/c and 〈pTΞ?=0.58±0.09 GeV/c.  相似文献

Cyclotron resonance in n-GaP has been observed at 119 μm in pulsed magnetic fields up to 410 kG. From the experiments with the magnetic field parallel to the 〈100〉, 〈110〉 and 〈111〉 axes, it is concluded that the transverse effective mass for electron is m1⊥/m0 = 0.254 ± 0.004 and that the anisotropy factor of the conduction band is K = 7.9+3.2?2.0. An anomalous shape of the absorption curve was found in the magnetic field directions parallel to the crystal axes 〈110〉 and 〈111〉.  相似文献

The values of dF1(q2)dq2 at q2=0 for the neutron and the proton provide a measure of the average transverse separations squared, 〈y2〉, between a u or d quark and the rest of the partons in a nucleon. Using the measured values of the form factors (together with parton x-distributions), we find that 〈y2 = 17.4 GeV?2 for u quarks and 16.4 GeV?2 for d quarks in a proton. We speculate that the small difference between u and d quarks is caused by “quark pairing” and discuss other possible experimental signatures of quark pairing.  相似文献

The rotational motion of the OH? ion was studied in cubic NaOH at 575 K with quasielastic incoherent neutron scattering. The data are compared to two simple models yielding values for the radius of rotation R, the translational mean square displacement 〈u2H, the rotational jump rate τ?1 and the rotational diffusion coefficient DR. The following parameter values are obtained: (a) rotational jump model: R = 0.95 A?, 〈u2H = 0.052 A?2, τ?1 = 2 meV, (b) rotational diffusion model: R = 0.99 A?, 〈u2H = 0.046 A?2, DR = 0.72 meV.  相似文献

The J = 2?1 microwave spectrum of six isotopic species of HSiF3 has been observed and assigned in excited states of five of the six fundamental vibrations. The assignment is based on relative intensities, double resonance experiments, and trial anharmonic force constant calculations. Analysis of the spectra leads to experimental values for five of the αrB constants, all three l-doubling constants qt, one Fermi resonance constant φ233, and one zeta constant ζ6, 6(z).The harmonic force field has been refined to all the available data on vibration wavenumbers, centrifugal distortion constants, and zeta constants. The cubic anharmonic force field has been refined to the data on αrB and qt constants, using two models: a valence force model with two cubic force constants for SiH and SiF stretching, and a more sophisticated model. With the help of these calculations, the following equilibrium structure has been determined: re(SiH) = 1.4468(±5) A?, re(SiF) = 1.5624(±1) A?, ∠HSiF = 110.64(±3)°,  相似文献
