The dinuclear copper(II) complex, [Cu2(phen)2(4-aminobenzoate)2(H2O)2](NO3)2·2(4-aminobenzoic acid)·3H2O (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), has been synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analyses, IR, EPR, UV-visible and single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The complex crystallized in a monoclinic system with space group C2/c, a?=?26.0022(10) Å, b?=?10.2524(4) Å, c?=?20.9983(7) Å, α?=?90°, β?=?106.9550(10)° and γ?=?90°. The Cu(II) ion adopts a distorted square-pyramidal geometry formed by two N atoms from the phen ligand and two O atoms of the two 4-aminobenzoic acid ligands and one water O atom. The Cu…Cu separation is 3.0570(5) Å. A twofold axis passes through the midpoint of the Cu-Cu vector. The complex has intraligand (π–π*) fluorescence properties. The binding of this dinuclear copper(II) complex with calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) was investigated by UV-vis absorption, fluorescence spectroscopic, cyclic voltammetric and viscosity techniques. Also, the cleavage of pBR322 DNA with dinuclear copper(II) complex was studied using gel electrophoresis method. The exhibited potent cytotoxic effects against human cell line (HepG2) and it was found to have good antimicrobial activities. The primary coordination sphere of dinuclear copper(II) complex is optimized, structural parameters are calculated and energy gaps of frontier orbital (HOMO-LUMO) have been calculated with B3LYP/6-31G/LANL2DZ level of theory in the gaseous phase. The calculated geometric and spectral results reproduced the experimental data with well agreement. Theoretical calculated molecular orbitals (HOMO-LUMO) and their energies have been calculated that suggest charge transfer occurs within the complex.  相似文献

A new dipicolinate complex of Ru(II), cis-[Ru(phen)2dipic]?·?9.5H2O (1), where dipic is dipicolinate or pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate and phen is 1,10-phenanthroline, has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, spectroscopic (IR, UV-Vis), cyclic voltammetry, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. ORTEP drawing of cis-[Ru(phen)2dipic]?·?9.5H2O shows that the coordination geometry around Ru(II) is a distorted octahedron. It crystallizes in the triclinic system, with space group P 1, a?=?10.4633(2)?Å, b?=?13.6332(4)?Å, c?=?13.6637(4)?Å, α?=?67.516(3)°, β?=?69.757(2)°, γ?=?77.201(2)°, V?=?1680.74(8)?Å3, Z?=?2, and R int?=?0.0311. In 1, two phen are bidentate N,N′ ligands. The Ru(II) in 1 is bonded to dipicolinate through pyridine nitrogen and one oxygen of carboxylate groups, thus pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylate is a bidentate N,O ligand. Efficient and selective oxidation of alcohols with NaIO4 as oxidant was conducted by this complex catalyst in CH3OH/H2O as solvents under air at room temperature.  相似文献

N,N-Di-R-N′-(4-chlorobenzoyl)thiourea (Di-R: diethyl, di-n-propyl, di-n-butyl and diphenyl) ligands (HL1–4) and their Pt(II) complexes (cis-[Pt(L1–4-S,O)2]) have been synthesized and structurally characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR and NMR spectroscopy. HL2 ligand and cis-[Pt(L4-S,O)2] metal complex have been also characterized by a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study. HL2, C14H19ClN2OS, crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n (no. 14), with Z = 4, and unit cell parameters, a = 11.1405(16) Å, b = 9.7015(12) Å, c = 14.790(2) Å, β = 106.547(7)°. The cis-[Pt(L4-S,O)2], C40H28Cl2N4O2PtS2: triclinic, space group P-1 (no. 2), a = 8.9919(3) Å, b = 14.7159(6) Å, c = 15.7954(6) Å, α = 113.9317(18)°, β = 97.4490(18)°, and γ = 105.0492(16)°. Single crystal analysis of complex, cis-[Pt(L1–4-S,O)2], revealed that a square planar coordination geometry is formed around the platinum atom by two sulfur and two oxygen atoms of the related ligands, which are in a cis configuration. In addition, the thiourea derivative ligands and their complexes were evaluated for both their in-vitro antibacterial and antifungal activity. The results have been reported, explained, and compared with fluconazole and ampicillin, used as reference drugs.  相似文献

New ruthenium(II) complexes containing labile nitrile ligands have been prepared by treatment of either the polymer [{RuCl2(COD)}x] (COD = cycloocta-1,5-diene) (1) or its derivative [RuCl2(COD)(NCCH3)2]·NCCH3 (2) with the appropriate nitrile ligands in refluxing acetonitrile under argon. A new route to synthesis of trans-dichlorotetrakis(diphenylphosphine)ruthenium(II) (7) was also reported. A redetermination of the structure of 7 was undertaken and X-ray crystallographic data revealed that the complex crystallizes in the triclinic space group P-1 with unit cell dimensions a = 12.7016(9) Å, b = 13.0847(10) Å, c = 14.1498(10) Å, α = 101.46(3)°, V = 2080.6(3) Å3, Z = 2 and R = 0.0309. Its polymorph 7′ was also obtained. The crystal structure of 4 was also determined. This complex crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with unit cell dimensions a = 27.0510(3) Å, b = 11.0984(13) Å, c = 13.0450(16) Å, α = 90°, V = 3886.5(8) Å3, Z = 8 and R = 0.0282.  相似文献

A phthalocyanine (4) with four salicylhydrazone ligating groups that are directly linked through oxygen bridges to the macrocyclic core has been synthesized by condensation of tetrakis(4-formylphenoxy)phthalocyaninato zinc(II) (3) with salicylhydrazine. Salicylhydrazine was crystallized in methanol during the synthetic procedure. The crystal structure has triclinic space group P-1 with a = 5.8292(6) Å, b = 7.3039(7) Å, c = 17.9798(18) Å, α = 84.272(8)°, β = 89.184(8)°, γ = 81.469(8)°, and Z = 4. Intramolecular O–H?O and intermolecular O–H?O, N–H?N, N–H?O hydrogen bonds were determined in the crystal structure. In addition, there is a weak C–H?π interaction. Complexation on the periphery to yield tri-nuclear Zn(II)Pcs (57) was performed through the reaction of a Schiff base-substituted phthalocyanine (4) with MnCl2·4H2O, CoCl2·6H2O, or Ni(OAc)2 salts. Fourier transform infrared, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV–Vis, ICP-OES (inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy), mass spectroscopies, and elemental analyses were applied to characterize the prepared compounds. Bleach catalyst activity of the prepared phthalocyanine complexes (57) was examined by the degradation of morin and curcumin, respectively. The catalysts had better activity for color removing in solutions at ambient temperature than to that of tetraacetylethylenediamine (TAED).  相似文献

A new copper(II) complex, [Cu(epoxy)(phen)(NO3)](NO3)·H2O (epoxy = 5,6-dihydro-5,6-epoxy-1,10-phenanthroline, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and UV–vis spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallized in a monoclinic system with space group P21/n, a = 13.3199(8) Å, b = 11.2917(7) Å, c = 16.0832(9) Å, α = 90°, β = 107.827(4)°, and γ = 90°. The complex cation possesses a distorted octahedral geometry, with Jahn–Teller distortion occurring in the CuN4O2 core. The binding interaction with calf thymus DNA (CT–DNA) was investigated by UV–vis and fluorescence spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and viscometry. The results support a partially intercalative binding mode. Efficient cleavage of plasmid DNA by the complex was observed by gel electrophoresis.  相似文献

A new 1-D alternating copper(II) polymer, [Cu2(L)(OAc)4]n (1) (L = 5-chloro-2-(pyridine-2-yl)benzo[d]thiazole), has been isolated and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, and magnetic susceptibility. The complex crystallized in the triclinic space group P-1, a = 8.2277(16) Å, b = 9.4233(19) Å, c = 15.831(3) Å, α = 103.38(3)°, β = 99.95(3)°, γ = 92.70(3)°, V = 1171.3(4) Å3, and comprises a 1-D polymer linked by three kinds of acetate-bridging modes in an alternating manner. UV–visible and fluorescence spectra revealed that 1 is bound to CT-DNA in a partial intercalation mode. Through gel electrophoresis assays, 1 displayed an efficient oxidative cleavage activity on supercoiled plasmid DNA (pUC19) in the presence of H2O2. Magnetic measurements were performed from 2 to 300 K, and the experimental results were satisfactorily reproduced with J1 = –160 ± 20 cm?1, J2 = 5.8 ± 0.2 cm?1, zJ′ = 0.381 ± 0.005 cm?1 and g = 2.1, showing antiferromagnetic coupling between Cu1 and Cu1i, ferromagnetic exchange between Cu2 and Cu2ii, and a weak ferromagnetic molecular field correction accounting for all interspecies interactions.  相似文献

Single crystals of a new organic–inorganic compound, (C5H6N5)2Cr2O7 (1), adeninium dichromate, were grown by the slow evaporation technique and characterized by X-ray diffraction, infrared absorption, and the optical properties were also investigated by UV-vis absorption spectroscopy. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic system and P-1 space group with a = 11.6850(2) Å, b = 11.7531(5) Å, c = 14.5603(7) Å, α = 83.956(3)°, β = 70.481(4)°, γ = 61.863(2)°, V = 1658.70(12) Å3. The structure of the compound consists of four adeninium, (C5H5N2)+, cations, and two dichromate dianions with all the atoms situated in general positions. Each dichromate anion is formed by two tetrahedral CrO4 joined through shared O atoms and are linked to the cations with several weak hydrogen bonding interactions resulting in an extended network. 3-D Hirshfeld surface analysis and 2-D fingerprint plots indicate that the packing is dominated by H?O/O?H and H?N/N?H contacts.  相似文献

A new oxamido-bridged trinuclear copper(II) complex [(CuL)2Cu](ClO4)2·0.5H2O (L?=?the dianion of 2,3-dioxo-5,6,14,15-dibenzo-7,13-bis(ethoxycarbonyl)-1,4,8,12-tetraazacyclotetradeca-7,12-diene) has been synthesized by self-assembly and characterized. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the title complex is monoclinic, space group P21, with a?=?16.213(5), b?=?9.811(3), c?=?18.802(6)?Å, β?=?96.790(5)°. The central copper(II) ion lies in a distorted octahedral environment. Terminal coppers have square pyramidal coordination geometry. Magnetic measurements show there is strong antiferromagnetic interaction between the central and the terminal Cu(II) ions.  相似文献

A linear-chain one-dimension polymeric complex of Co(II), [[Co(TMA)2(4,4′-bipyridine)2]?·?H2O] n has been synthesized and characterized. The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c with a?=?11.344(3)?Å, b?=?15.880(4)?Å, c?=?23.436(5)?Å, β?=?117.831(10)°, V?=?3733.5(16)?Å3 and D c?=?1.437?g?cm?3. The effective magnetic moment for this complex indicates that there is almost no ferromagnetic coupling between the Co(II) ions and the magnetic behavior is due to the isolated Co(II).  相似文献

A new dinuclear manganese complex, [Mn2L2(N3)2], was prepared by reaction of bis-Schiff base N,N'-bis(5-fluoro-2-hydroxybenzylidene)ethane-1,2-diamine (H2L) with manganese acetate and sodium azide in methanol. Both the Schiff base and the complex were characterized by physico-chemical methods and single crystal X-ray determination. The Schiff base crystallized in the orthorhombic space group Pbca with unit cell dimensions a?=?7.3191(7)?Å, b?=?6.0948(6)?Å, c?=?35.382(3)?Å, V?=?1578.3(3)?Å3, Z?=?4, R1?=?0.0481, wR2?=?0.1488. The manganese complex crystallized in the monoclinic space group P21/c with unit cell dimensions a?=?8.802(1)?Å, b?=?14.928(2)?Å, c?=?14.478(2)?Å, β?=?105.517(2)°, V?=?1833.0(4)?Å3, Z?=?2, R1?=?0.0768, wR2?=?0.1640. There are crystallographic inversion centers in both the ligand and the complex. The ligand coordinates to Mn through all the phenolate oxygens and imino nitrogens. The two Mn in the complex are bridged by two phenolate oxygens with separation of 3.549(1)?Å. Each Mn is octahedral with four donors of the Schiff base ligand defining the equatorial plane, and with one azido nitrogen and one phenolate oxygen of an adjacent Schiff base ligand occupying the axial positions. The Schiff base and the complex were tested in vitro for their antibacterial activities.  相似文献

A new hydrazone, ethyl Z-2-(pyridine-2yl-methylene)hydrazinecarboxylate (C9H11N3O2; Hpyec) and its metal complexes bis(ethyl Z-2-(pyridine-2yl-methylene)hydrazinecarboxylate)nickel(II) monohydrate, [Ni(pyec)2]·H2O (1) and bis(acetato)(ethyl Z-2-(pyridine-2yl-methylene)hydrazinecarboxylate)cadmium(II), [Cd(Hpyec)(CH3COO)2] (2), have been prepared by mechanochemical syntheses and characterized by elemental analysis, UV–vis, IR and NMR spectroscopies, TG-DTA, and solid state emission techniques. The X-ray single crystal structures of both complexes were determined. In 1, the Ni2+ ion is coordinated by two N,N,O-tridentate anionic ligands to generate a distorted cis-NiO2N4 octahedron. In 2, the cadmium ion is seven-coordinate by one neutral N,N,O-tridentate ligand and two chelating acetate ions to generate a very-distorted CdN2O5 pentagonal bipyramid with the Hpyec atoms occupying both axial and one equatorial site. A di-copper(II) complex of the formula [(dien)Cu(μ-1,6-DAH)Cu(dien)(NO3)2](NO3)2, where μ-1,6-DAH = 1,6-diaminohexane, has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography, X-ray powder diffraction, thermal gravimetric (TG) and differential thermal analyses, cyclic voltammetry, infrared, ultraviolet visible spectroscopies and elemental analysis methods. It was crystallized in a monoclinic system, space group P21/n, with a = 8.0297(8) Å, b = 12.4937(14) Å, c = 15.3786(15) Å, β = 102.739(8) Å and z = 2. Each copper(II) has a square-based pyramidal coordination geometry with four N atoms building the basal plane (three from dien and one from μ-1,6-DAH). TGA study of the complex revealed the compound to be stable up to 245 °C. Electrochemical behavior of complex and enzyme-like catalytic activity of this complex, as a potential functional model for the active site of tyrosinase, was studied extensively. Kinetic studies show that the complex has the maximum enzymatic activity at pH 8, temperature of 40 °C and ionic strength of 50 mM.  相似文献

Crystal and molecular structures of the planar neutral ligand, C26H16N8, and the four isomorphous five-coordinated metal complexes, [M(C26H16N8)(H2O)], M = Mn(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), have been determined from three-dimensional X-ray diffraction data. The free ligand hpH2, C26H16N8, belongs to the P 21/c space group with Z=2, a=4.142(3), b=23.736(6), c=10.338(3) Ä, β=94.66(6)°. The metal complexes monohydrate Mhp-H2O all belong to the orthorhombic Pcab space group with Z=8. The dimensions are roughly 8.8×19.3×23.7 Å3. In each structure, the macrocyclic ligand has an almost planar conformation which differs from the saddle shaped ligand hydrate (hpH2·H2O) and the nickel complex [Nihp]5. The distances from the center of the macrocyclic ring to the nitrogen atom of the free ligand are 1.907(6) and 2.245(6)Å. The coordination geometry in these four complexes is square pyramidal with a water molecule as an axial ligand. The bond distances of M(II)-O(H2O), M(II)-N1 (imine), M(II)-N3 (pyridine) are: 2.19(1), 2.00(2), 2.27(2)Å respectively for the manganese complex; 2.08(1), 1.97(1), 2.23(1)Å for the cobalt complex; 2.33(1), 1.92(3), 2.18(1)Å for the copper complex; 2.110(5), 1.964(6), 2.252(6)Å for the zinc complex. The variation of metal-ligand distances can be correlated to the metal d orbital occupancy. A comparison with similar ligands will be presented.  相似文献

Crystals of complex 1 were orthorhombic, space group pccn, with a?=?15.2149(10), b?=?25.0071(16), c?=?7.6280(5)?Å and α?=?β?=?γ?=?90°. Complex 2 crystals were monoclinic, space group P21/c, with a?=?8.688(6), b?=?12.812(9), c?=?16.022(11)?Å and β?=?99.241(10)°. Structures of the two complexes were centro-symmetric and both Cu(II) atoms were four coordinate with a distorted square-planar geometry. The toxicity of the complexes was evaluated by testing antimicrobial activity against bacterial strands.  相似文献

A ternary Cu(II) complex with dipyrido[3,2-a?:?2′3′-c]phenazine(dppz) and L-tryptophanate (L-trp) has been synthesized and investigated by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, IR and X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallizes in the monoclimic space group P21 with two molecules in a unit cell of dimensions, a?=?7.949(2)?Å, b?=?10.724(3)?Å, c?=?18.580(5)?Å, β?=?93.697(5)°, V?=?1580.7(8)?Å3, R 1?=?0.0310, and wR 2?=?0.0382. The central copper(II) ion has a distorted square-pyramidal geometry, in which the N,O-donor tryptophanate and N,N-donor heterocyclic base dppz are in the basal plane and a water molecule is coordinated at the axial site. DNA binding properties of the complex were studied by electronic absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, and viscosity measurement. The DNA cleavage of the complex was investigated by agarose gel electrophoresis. The results show that the complex can bind DNA by intercalation and cleave pBR322 DNA in the presence of ascorbate.  相似文献

A new chromium(III) complex, [CrCl(naph-gly)phen]?H2O (naph-gly = Schiff base derived from 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde and glycine, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, electrospray ionization mass spectroscopy, FT-IR, and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The chromium(III) complex belongs to the trigonal crystal system, P3(1) space group with crystallographic data: a = b = 1.97017(16) nm, c = 1.02991(7) nm, α?=?β?=?90°, γ =120°, V = 3.4621(5) nm3, Dc = 1.476 g?cm?3, Z = 6, F(0 0 0)?=?1578, R1 = 0.0508, wR2 = 0.0907. There are two independent molecules in the crystallographic asymmetric unit of the chromium(III) complex. Each CrIII is six-coordinate to form an octahedral geometry. In the crystal, a 3-D structure is formed through intermolecular hydrogen bonds. The calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA)- and bovine serum albumin (BSA)-binding properties of the complex have been studied by UV absorption, fluorescence, and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy. Results indicate that the chromium(III) complex binds to CT-DNA in an intercalative mode, and it can bind to BSA and cause conformational changes of BSA.  相似文献
