The group of bisections of groupoids plays an important role in the study of Lie groupoids. In this paper another construction is introduced. Indeed, for a topological groupoid G, the set of all continuous self-maps f on G such that (xf(x)) is a composable pair for every \(x\in G\), is denoted by \(S_G\). We show that \(S_G\) by a natural binary operation is a monoid. \(S_G(\alpha )\), the group of units in \(S_G\) precisely consists of those \(f\in S_G\) such that the map \(x\mapsto xf(x)\) is a bijection on G. Similar to the group of bisections, \(S_G(\alpha )\) acts on G from the right and on the space of continuous self-maps on G from the left. It is proved that \(S_G(\alpha )\) with the compact- open topology inherited from C(GG) is a left topological group. For a compact Hausdorff groupoid G it is proved that the group of bisections of \(G^2\) is isomorphic to the group \(S_G(\alpha )\) and the group of transitive bisections of G, \(Bis_T(G)\), is embedded in \(S_G(\alpha )\), where \(G^2\) is the groupoid of all composable pairs.  相似文献

A special case of a fundamental theorem of Schneider asserts that if \(j(\tau )\) is algebraic (where j is the classical modular invariant), then any zero z not in \(\mathbf{Q}.L_\tau := \mathbf{Q}\oplus \mathbf{Q}\tau \) of the Weierstrass function \(\wp (\tau ,\cdot )\) attached to the lattice \(L_\tau =\mathbf{Z}\oplus \mathbf{Z}\tau \) is transcendental. In this note we generalize this result to holomorphic Jacobi forms of weight k and index \(m\in \mathbf{N}\) with algebraic Fourier coefficients.  相似文献

In this paper we are concerned with the family \(\widetilde{S}^t_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\) (\(t\ge 0\)) of normalized biholomorphic mappings on the Euclidean unit ball \(\mathbb {B}^n\) in \({\mathbb {C}}^n\) that can be embedded in normal Loewner chains whose normalizations are given by time-dependent operators \(A\in \widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\), where \(\widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\) is a family of measurable mappings from \([0,\infty )\) into \(L({\mathbb {C}}^n)\) which satisfy certain natural assumptions. In particular, we consider extreme points and support points associated with the compact family \(\widetilde{S}^t_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\), where \(A\in \widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\). We prove that if \(f(z,t)=V(t)^{-1}z+\cdots \) is a normal Loewner chain such that \(V(s)f(\cdot ,s)\in \mathrm{ex}\,\widetilde{S}^s_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\) (resp. \(V(s)f(\cdot ,s)\in \mathrm{supp}\,\widetilde{S}^s_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\)), then \(V(t)f(\cdot ,t)\in \mathrm{ex}\, \widetilde{S}^t_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\), for all \(t\ge s\) (resp. \(V(t)f(\cdot ,t)\in \mathrm{supp}\,\widetilde{S}^t_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\), for all \(t\ge s\)), where V(t) is the unique solution on \([0,\infty )\) of the initial value problem: \(\frac{d V}{d t}(t)=-A(t)V(t)\), a.e. \(t\ge 0\), \(V(0)=I_n\). Also, we obtain an example of a bounded support point for the family \(\widetilde{S}_A^t(\mathbb {B}^2)\), where \(A\in \widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\) is a certain time-dependent operator. We also consider the notion of a reachable family with respect to time-dependent linear operators \(A\in \widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\), and obtain characterizations of extreme/support points associated with these families of bounded biholomorphic mappings on \(\mathbb {B}^n\). Useful examples and applications yield that the study of the family \(\widetilde{S}^t_A(\mathbb {B}^n)\) for time-dependent operators \(A\in \widetilde{\mathcal {A}}\) is basically different from that in the case of constant time-dependent linear operators.  相似文献

The aim of paper is to give some results, that prepare for studying the problem on cross theorems for separately \((\cdot , W)\)-meromorphic functions. Some general versions of extension theorem of Levi type are extended to the classes of meromorphic functions f on \(D \times (\Delta _r {\setminus } \overline{\Delta })\) with values in a locally convex space F. Here, the function f is assumed that, for each \(z \in D_*,\) the function \(f_z = f(z, \cdot )\) has a (FW)-meromorphic extension to \(\Delta _r,\) where F is either a locally (or sequentially) complete locally convex space or a Fréchet space, the space \(W \subseteq F'\) is separating (or determines boundedness), \(\Delta _r = \{\lambda \in {\mathbb C}: |\lambda | < r\}\) with \(r > 1, \Delta = \Delta _1\) and D is either a domain in \({\mathbb C}^n\) or a balanced domain in a Fréchet space containing a non-pluripolar balanced convex compact subset, \(D_*\) is dense in D.  相似文献

Let\(B_{2}^{n}\) denote the Euclidean ball in\({\mathbb R}^n\), and, given closed star-shaped body\(K \subset {\mathbb R}^{n}, M_{K}\) denote the average of the gauge of K on the Euclidean sphere. Let\(p \in (0,1)\) and let\(K \subset {\mathbb R}^{n}\) be a p-convex body. In [17] we proved that for every\(\lambda \in (0,1)\) there exists an orthogonal projection P of rank\((1 - \lambda)n\) such that
$\frac{f(\lambda)}{M_K} PB^{n}_{2} \subset PK,$
where\(f(\lambda)=c_p\lambda^{1+1/p}\) for some positive constant c p depending on p only. In this note we prove that\(f(\lambda)\) can be taken equal to\(C_p\lambda^{1/p-1/2}\). In terms of Kolmogorov numbers it means that for every\(k \leq n\)
$d_k (\hbox{Id}:\ell^{n}_{2} \to ({\mathbb R}^{n},\|\cdot\|_{K})) \leq C_p \frac{n^{1/p-1}}{k^{1/p-1/2}} \ell(\hbox{ID}: \ell^{n}_{2} \to ({\mathbb R}^{n}, \|\cdot\|_{K})),$
where\(\ell(\hbox{Id})={\bf E}\|\sum\limits^{n}_{i=1}g_i e_i\|_K\) for the independent standard Gaussian random variables\(\{g_i\}\) and the canonical basis\(\{e_i\}\) of\({\mathbb R}^n\). All results do not require the symmetry of K.

Given a connected simple graph \(G=(V(G),E(G))\), a set \(S\subseteq V(G)\) is said to be a 2-metric generator for G if and only if for any pair of different vertices \(u,v\in V(G)\), there exist at least two vertices \(w_1,w_2\in S\) such that \(d_G(u,w_i)\ne d_G(v,w_i)\), for every \(i\in \{1,2\}\), where \(d_G(x,y)\) is the length of a shortest path between x and y. The minimum cardinality of a 2-metric generator is the 2-metric dimension of G, denoted by \(\dim _2(G)\). The metric \(d_{G,2}: V(G)\times V(G)\longmapsto {\mathbb {N}}\cup \{0\}\) is defined as \(d_{G,2}(x,y)=\min \{d_G(x,y),2\}\). Now, a set \(S\subseteq V(G)\) is a 2-adjacency generator for G, if for every two vertices \(x,y\in V(G)\) there exist at least two vertices \(w_1,w_2\in S\), such that \(d_{G,2}(x,w_i)\ne d_{G,2}(y,w_i)\) for every \(i\in \{1,2\}\). The minimum cardinality of a 2-adjacency generator is the 2-adjacency dimension of G, denoted by \({\mathrm {adim}}_2(G)\). In this article, we obtain closed formulae for the 2-metric dimension of the lexicographic product \(G\circ H\) of two graphs G and H. Specifically, we show that \(\dim _2(G\circ H)=n\cdot {\mathrm {adim}}_2(H)+f(G,H),\) where \(f(G,H)\ge 0\), and determine all the possible values of f(GH).  相似文献

Let \((E,\Vert \cdot \Vert _E)\) be a Banach function space, \(E'\) the Köthe dual of E and \((X,\Vert \cdot \Vert _X)\) be a Banach space. It is shown that every Bochner representable operator \(T:E\rightarrow X\) maps relatively \(\sigma (E,E')\)-compact sets in E onto relatively norm compact sets in X. If, in particular, the associated norm \(\Vert \cdot \Vert _{E'}\) on \(E'\) is order continuous, then every Bochner representable operator \(T:E\rightarrow X\) is \((\gamma _E,\Vert \cdot \Vert _X)\)-compact, where \(\gamma _E\) stands for the natural mixed topology on E. Applications to Bochner representable operators on Orlicz spaces are given.  相似文献

Let \(1\le p\le q<\infty \) and let X be a p-convex Banach function space over a \(\sigma \)-finite measure \(\mu \). We combine the structure of the spaces \(L^p(\mu )\) and \(L^q(\xi )\) for constructing the new space \(S_{X_p}^{\,q}(\xi )\), where \(\xi \) is a probability Radon measure on a certain compact set associated to X. We show some of its properties, and the relevant fact that every q-summing operator T defined on X can be continuously (strongly) extended to \(S_{X_p}^{\,q}(\xi )\). Our arguments lead to a mixture of the Pietsch and Maurey-Rosenthal factorization theorems, which provided the known (strong) factorizations for q-summing operators through \(L^q\)-spaces when \(1 \le q \le p\). Thus, our result completes the picture, showing what happens in the complementary case \(1\le p\le q\).  相似文献

We consider in a group \((G,\cdot )\) the ternary relation
$$\begin{aligned} \kappa := \{(\alpha , \beta , \gamma ) \in G^3 \ | \ \alpha \cdot \beta ^{-1} \cdot \gamma = \gamma \cdot \beta ^{-1} \cdot \alpha \} \end{aligned}$$
and show that \(\kappa \) is a ternary equivalence relation if and only if the set \( \mathfrak Z \) of centralizers of the group G forms a fibration of G (cf. Theorems 2, 3). Therefore G can be provided with an incidence structure
$$\begin{aligned} \mathfrak G:= \{\gamma \cdot Z \ | \ \gamma \in G , Z \in \mathfrak Z(G) \}. \end{aligned}$$
We study the automorphism group of \((G,\kappa )\), i.e. all permutations \(\varphi \) of the set G such that \( (\alpha , \beta , \gamma ) \in \kappa \) implies \((\varphi (\alpha ),\varphi (\beta ),\varphi (\gamma ))\in \kappa \). We show \(\mathrm{Aut}(G,\kappa )=\mathrm{Aut}(G,\mathfrak G)\), \(\mathrm{Aut} (G,\cdot ) \subseteq \mathrm{Aut}(G,\kappa )\) and if \( \varphi \in \mathrm{Aut}(G,\kappa )\) with \(\varphi (1)=1\) and \(\varphi (\xi ^{-1})= (\varphi (\xi ))^{-1}\) for all \(\xi \in G\) then \(\varphi \) is an automorphism of \((G,\cdot )\). This allows us to prove a representation theorem of \(\mathrm{Aut}(G,\kappa )\) (cf. Theorem 6) and that for \(\alpha \in G \) the maps
$$\begin{aligned} \tilde{\alpha }\ : \ G \rightarrow G;~ \xi \mapsto \alpha \cdot \xi ^{-1} \cdot \alpha \end{aligned}$$
of the corresponding reflection structure \((G, \widetilde{G})\) (with \( \tilde{G} := \{\tilde{\gamma }\ | \ \gamma \in G \}\)) are point reflections. If \((G ,\cdot )\) is uniquely 2-divisible and if for \(\alpha \in G\), \(\alpha ^{1\over 2}\) denotes the unique solution of \(\xi ^2=\alpha \) then with \(\alpha \odot \beta := \alpha ^{1\over 2} \cdot \beta \cdot \alpha ^{1\over 2}\), the pair \((G,\odot )\) is a K-loop (cf. Theorem 5).

Let A be a 0-sectorial operator with a bounded \(H^\infty (\Sigma _\sigma )\)-calculus for some \(\sigma \in (0,\pi ),\) e.g. a Laplace type operator on \(L^p(\Omega ),\, 1< p < \infty ,\) where \(\Omega \) is a manifold or a graph. We show that A has a \(\mathcal {H}^\alpha _2(\mathbb {R}_+)\) Hörmander functional calculus if and only if certain operator families derived from the resolvent \((\lambda - A)^{-1},\) the semigroup \(e^{-zA},\) the wave operators \(e^{itA}\) or the imaginary powers \(A^{it}\) of A are R-bounded in an \(L^2\)-averaged sense. If X is an \(L^p(\Omega )\) space with \(1 \le p < \infty \), R-boundedness reduces to well-known estimates of square sums.  相似文献

Let n and s be integers such that \(1\le s<\frac{n}{2}\), and let \(M_n(\mathbb {K})\) be the ring of all \(n\times n\) matrices over a field \(\mathbb {K}\). Denote by \([\frac{n}{s}]\) the least integer m with \(m\ge \frac{n}{s}\). In this short note, it is proved that if \(g:M_n(\mathbb {K})\rightarrow M_n(\mathbb {K})\) is a map such that \(g\left( \sum _{i=1}^{[\frac{n}{s}]}A_i\right) =\sum _{i=1}^{[\frac{n}{s}]}g(A_i)\) holds for any \([\frac{n}{s}]\) rank-s matrices \(A_1,\ldots ,A_{[\frac{n}{s}]}\in M_n(\mathbb {K})\), then \(g(x)=f(x)+g(0)\), \(x\in M_n(\mathbb {K})\), for some additive map \(f:M_n(\mathbb {K})\rightarrow M_n(\mathbb {K})\). Particularly, g is additive if \(char\mathbb {K}\not \mid \left( [\frac{n}{s}]-1\right) \).  相似文献

Let H be a Krull monoid with finite class group G such that every class contains a prime divisor. Then every non-unit \(a \in H\) can be written as a finite product of atoms, say \(a=u_1 \cdot \ldots \cdot u_k\). The set \(\mathsf L (a)\) of all possible factorization lengths k is called the set of lengths of a. There is a constant \(M \in \mathbb N\) such that all sets of lengths are almost arithmetical multiprogressions with bound M and with difference \(d \in \Delta ^* (H)\), where \(\Delta ^* (H)\) denotes the set of minimal distances of H. We study the structure of \(\Delta ^* (H)\) and establish a characterization when \(\Delta ^*(H)\) is an interval. The system \(\mathcal L (H) = \{ \mathsf L (a) \mid a \in H \}\) of all sets of lengths depends only on the class group G, and a standing conjecture states that conversely the system \(\mathcal L (H)\) is characteristic for the class group. We confirm this conjecture (among others) if the class group is isomorphic to \(C_n^r\) with \(r,n \in \mathbb N\) and \(\Delta ^*(H)\) is not an interval.  相似文献

We consider a closure operator c of finite type on the space \(SMod(\mathcal M)\) of thick \(\mathcal K\)-submodules of a triangulated category \(\mathcal M\) that is a module over a tensor triangulated category \((\mathcal K,\otimes ,1)\). Our purpose is to show that the space \(SMod^c(\mathcal M)\) of fixed points of the operator c is a spectral space that also carries the structure of a topological monoid.  相似文献

This paper is divided into two parts: In the main deterministic part, we prove that for an open domain \(D \subset \mathbb {R}^d\) with \(d \ge 2\), for every (measurable) uniformly elliptic tensor field a and for almost every point \(y \in D\), there exists a unique Green’s function centred in y associated to the vectorial operator \(-\nabla \cdot a\nabla \) in D. This result implies the existence of the fundamental solution for elliptic systems when \(d>2\), i.e. the Green function for \(-\nabla \cdot a\nabla \) in \(\mathbb {R}^d\). In the second part, we introduce a shift-invariant ensemble \(\langle \cdot \rangle \) over the set of uniformly elliptic tensor fields, and infer for the fundamental solution G some pointwise bounds for \(\langle |G(\cdot ; x,y)|\rangle \), \(\langle |\nabla _x G(\cdot ; x,y)|\rangle \) and \(\langle |\nabla _x\nabla _y G(\cdot ; x,y)|\rangle \). These estimates scale optimally in space and provide a generalisation to systems of the bounds obtained by Delmotte and Deuschel for the scalar case.  相似文献

For nonnegative integers qnd, let \(A_q(n,d)\) denote the maximum cardinality of a code of length n over an alphabet [q] with q letters and with minimum distance at least d. We consider the following upper bound on \(A_q(n,d)\). For any k, let \(\mathcal{C}_k\) be the collection of codes of cardinality at most k. Then \(A_q(n,d)\) is at most the maximum value of \(\sum _{v\in [q]^n}x(\{v\})\), where x is a function \(\mathcal{C}_4\rightarrow {\mathbb {R}}_+\) such that \(x(\emptyset )=1\) and \(x(C)=\!0\) if C has minimum distance less than d, and such that the \(\mathcal{C}_2\times \mathcal{C}_2\) matrix \((x(C\cup C'))_{C,C'\in \mathcal{C}_2}\) is positive semidefinite. By the symmetry of the problem, we can apply representation theory to reduce the problem to a semidefinite programming problem with order bounded by a polynomial in n. It yields the new upper bounds \(A_4(6,3)\le 176\), \(A_4(7,3)\le 596\), \(A_4(7,4)\le 155\), \(A_5(7,4)\le 489\), and \(A_5(7,5)\le 87\).  相似文献

In this paper, the large time decay of the magneto-micropolar fluid equations on \(\mathbb {R}^n\) (\( n=2,3\)) is studied. We show, for Leray global solutions, that \( \Vert ({\varvec{u}},{\varvec{w}},{\varvec{b}})(\cdot ,t) \Vert _{{L^2(\mathbb {R}^n)}} \rightarrow 0 \) as \(t \rightarrow \infty \) with arbitrary initial data in \( L^2(\mathbb {R}^n)\). When the vortex viscosity is present, we obtain a (faster) decay for the micro-rotational field: \( \Vert {\varvec{w}}(\cdot ,t) \Vert _{{L^2(\mathbb {R}^n)}} = o(t^{-1/2})\). Some related results are also included.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider strict comparison theorems in the framework of G-expectation, which is a type of sublinear expectation associated with fully nonlinear parabolic partial differential equations. In particular, we first apply Krylov–Safonov estimates to establish the strict comparison theorem for functions from the Lipschitz class \(Lip(\Omega )\). Then we prove generalized strict comparison theorems on the enlarged space \(L_G^1(\Omega )\), which is the Banach completion of \(Lip(\Omega )\) under the G-expectation.  相似文献

If \(A\in B(\mathcal{X})\) is an upper triangular Banach space operator with diagonal \((A_1,A_2)\), \(A_1\) invertible and \(A_2\) quasinilpotent, then \(A_1^{-1}\oplus A_2\) satisfies either of the single-valued extension property, Dunford’s condition (C), Bishop’s property \((\beta )\), decomposition property \((\delta )\) or is decomposable if and only if \(A_1\) has the property. The operator \(A^{-1}_1\oplus 0\) is subscalar (resp., left polaroid, right polaroid) if and only if \(A_1\) is subscalar (resp., left polaroid, right polaroid). For Drazin invertible operators A, with Drazin inverse B, this implies that B satisfies any one of these properties if and only if A satisfies the property.  相似文献

Let \(p(\cdot ):\ {\mathbb {R}}^n\rightarrow (0,\infty )\) be a variable exponent function satisfying the globally log-Hölder continuous condition. In this article, the authors first obtain a decomposition for any distribution of the variable weak Hardy space into “good” and “bad” parts and then prove the following real interpolation theorem between the variable Hardy space \(H^{p(\cdot )}({\mathbb {R}}^n)\) and the space \(L^{\infty }({\mathbb {R}}^n)\): \((H^{p(\cdot )}(\mathbb R^n),L^{\infty }({\mathbb {R}}^n))_{\theta ,\infty }= WH^{p(\cdot )/(1-\theta )}({\mathbb {R}}^n),\quad \mathrm{where}~\theta \in (0,1), \mathrm{and}\) \(WH^{p(\cdot )/(1-\theta )}({\mathbb {R}}^n)\) denotes the variable weak Hardy space. As an application, the variable weak Hardy space \(WH^{p(\cdot )}({\mathbb {R}}^n)\) with \(p_-:=\mathop {\text {ess inf}}\limits _{x\in {{{\mathbb {R}}}^n}}p(x)\in (1,\infty )\) is proved to coincide with the variable Lebesgue space \(WL^{p(\cdot )}({\mathbb {R}}^n)\).  相似文献

Let A be an \((m \times n)\) integral matrix, and let \(P=\{ x :A x \le b\}\) be an n-dimensional polytope. The width of P is defined as \( w(P)=min\{ x\in \mathbb {Z}^n{\setminus }\{0\} :max_{x \in P} x^\top u - min_{x \in P} x^\top v \}\). Let \(\varDelta (A)\) and \(\delta (A)\) denote the greatest and the smallest absolute values of a determinant among all \(r(A) \times r(A)\) sub-matrices of A, where r(A) is the rank of the matrix A. We prove that if every \(r(A) \times r(A)\) sub-matrix of A has a determinant equal to \(\pm \varDelta (A)\) or 0 and \(w(P)\ge (\varDelta (A)-1)(n+1)\), then P contains n affine independent integer points. Additionally, we present similar results for the case of k-modular matrices. The matrix A is called totally k-modular if every square sub-matrix of A has a determinant in the set \(\{0,\, \pm k^r :r \in \mathbb {N} \}\). When P is a simplex and \(w(P)\ge \delta (A)-1\), we describe a polynomial time algorithm for finding an integer point in P.  相似文献
