The Fourier transform Raman and Fourier transform infrared spectra of 2-aminobenzyl alcohol (2ABA) were recorded in the solid phase. Geometry optimizations were done with out any constraint and harmonic vibrational wave numbers and several thermodynamic parameters were calculated for the minimum energy conformer at ab initio and DFT levels invoking 6-31g** and 6-311+g(2d, p) basis sets and the results were compared with the experimental values. With the help of three specific scaling procedures, the observed vibrational wavenumbers in FTIR and FT-Raman spectra were analyzed and assigned to different normal modes of the molecule. Most of the modes have wavenumbers in the expected range and the error obtained was in general very low. The appropriate theoretical spectrograms for the Raman and IR spectra of 2ABA were also constructed.  相似文献

Fourier transform infrared and Fourier transform Raman spectra of dichloro-bis(2,4-pentanedionate)tin(IV) have been obtained. Density functional theory (DFT) BLYP calculations, have been carried out with the purpose of understanding the metal-ligand region spectra of this compound. Vibrational wavenumbers calculated by BLYP/6-31G* force fields are closed with the experimental results. The percentage of deviation of the bond lengths and bond angles gives a good picture of the normal modes, and serves as a basis for the assignment of the wavenumbers. The calculated geometrical parameters show slight differences compared with the experimental ones, and these differences can be explained by the different physical state of Sn(acac)2Cl2. The DFT-BLYP calculations assumed a free molecule in the gas phase. The experimental wavenumbers are obtained from the spectra of solid samples.  相似文献

The gas phase infrared spectrum of 3-aminoacetophenone (3AAP) was measured in the range 5000-500cm(-1) and with a resolution of 0.5cm(-1). The Fourier transform Raman (FT-Raman) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectra of 3AAP were recorded in the solid phase. Geometry optimizations were done without any constraint and several thermodynamic parameters were calculated for the minimum energy conformer at ab initio and density functional theory (DFT) levels invoking 6-311G(2df 2p) basis set and the results are compared with the experimental values. Harmonic-vibrational wavenumber was also calculated for the minimum energy conformer at ab initio and DFT levels using 6-31G(d,p) basis set and the results are compared with related molecules. With the help of specific scaling procedures, the observed vibrational wavenumbers in gas phase, FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra were analyzed and assigned to different normal modes of the molecule. Most of the modes have wavenumbers in the expected range, the error obtained was in general very low. The appropriate theoretical spectrogram for the FT-IR spectra of the title molecule is also constructed.  相似文献

The Fourier transform Raman and Fourier transform infrared spectra of 5-bromo-2-nitropyridine were recorded in the solid phase. The equilibrium geometry, natural atomic charges, harmonic vibrational frequencies, infrared intensities and Raman scattering activities were calculated by density functional B3LYP method with the 6-311++G(d,p) basis set. The scaled theoretical wavenumbers showed very good agreement with the experimental values. A detailed interpretations of the infrared and Raman spectra of 5-bromo-2-nitropyridine is reported on the basis of the calculated potential energy distribution (PED). The theoretical spectrograms for the Raman and IR spectra of the title molecule have been constructed.  相似文献

Fourier transform infrared and Fourier transform Raman spectra of Cu(II) bis-acetylacetone have been obtained. The geometry, frequency and intensity of the vibrational bands of this compound and its 1,5-(13)C(2), 3-(13)C, 1,3,5-(13)C(3), 2,4-(13)C(2), (18)O(2) and 2,4-(13)C(2)-(18)O(2) derivatives were obtained by the density functional theory (DFT) with the B3LYP functional and using the 6-31G(*) and 3-21G(*) basis sets. The calculated frequencies are compared with the solid infrared and Raman spectra. All the measured infrared and Raman bands were interpreted in terms of the calculated vibrational modes. The percentage of deviation of the bond lengths and bond angles gives a good picture of the normal modes, and serves as a basis for the assignment of the wavenumbers. Most computed bands are predicted to be at higher wavenumbers than the experimental bands. The calculated geometrical parameters show slight differences compared with the experimental results. These differences can be explained by the different physical state of Cu(II) bis-acetylacetone. The DFT-B3LYP calculations assumed a free molecule in the gas phase. Analysis of the vibrational spectra indicates a strong coupling between the chelated ring modes.  相似文献

The Fourier transform Raman and Fourier transform infrared spectra of 2-amino-5-iodopyridine were recorded in the solid phase. The equilibrium geometry, harmonic vibrational frequencies, infrared intensities and Raman scattering activities were calculated by HF and DFT (B3LYP) methods with the 6-31G(d,p) basis set for C, N, H and LANL2DZ pseudopotential for I. A detailed interpretation of the infrared and Raman spectra of 2-amino-5-iodopyridine is reported on the basis of the calculated potential energy distribution. The theoretical spectrograms for the IR spectrum of the title molecule have been constructed.  相似文献

The Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and FT-Raman spectra of p-cyanobenzoic acid (CBA) have been recorded in the range 4000-400 and 4000-100 cm(-1), respectively. The complete vibrational assignment and analysis of the fundamental modes of the compound were carried out using the observed FTIR and FT-Raman data. The vibrational frequencies determined experimentally were compared with theoretical wavenumbers obtained from ab initio HF and DFT-B3LYP gradient calculations employing 6-31G**, 6-311++G** and cc-pVTZ basis sets for the optimised geometry of the compound. The geometry and normal modes of vibration obtained from the HF and DFT methods are in good agreement with the experimental data. The normal coordinate analysis was also carried out with ab initio force fields utilising Wilson's FG matrix method. The interactions of cyano and carboxylic acid groups with the skeletal vibrational modes were investigated.  相似文献

The Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and FT-Raman spectra of 5-chloro-2-hydroxybenzamide (5CBA) and 5-chloro-2-hydroxybenzoic acid (5C2HBA) have been recorded in the range 4000-400 and 4000-100 cm(-1), respectively. The complete vibrational fundamental modes of the compounds were assigned and analysed using the observed FTIR and FT-Raman data. The vibrational frequencies determined experimentally were compared with the theoretical wavenumbers calculated from ab initio HF and DFT-B3LYP gradient methods employing 6-31G** and 6-311++G** basis sets. The effect of halogen, hydroxyl groups and hydrogen bonding on the characteristic frequencies of the -COOH and -CONH2 group frequencies have been investigated. In 5CBA and 5C2HBA intramolecular hydrogen bond between a hydroxyl group and CO group makes a six membered ring, which causes the O?H interaction onto the resonance of the benzene ring. Comparison of the positions of the ν(OH) bands shows the ν(OH) band of 5CBA is located at considerably higher frequency which confirms a weaker hydrogen bond than in 5C2HBA.  相似文献

Extensive spectroscopic investigations have been carried out by recording the Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and FT-Raman spectra and carrying out the theoretical quantum chemical studies on 4-morpholinecarboxaldehyde (4MC). From the ab initio and DFT analysis using HF, B3LYP and B3PW91 methods with 6-31G(d,p) and 6-311G++(d,p) basis sets the energies, structural, thermodynamical and vibrational characteristics of the compound were determined. The energy difference between the chair equatorial and chair axial conformers of 4MC have been calculated by density functional theory (DFT) method. The optimised geometrical parameters, theoretical wavenumbers and thermodynamic properties of the molecule were compared with the experimental values. The effect of carbonyl group on the characteristic frequencies of the morpholine ring has been analysed. The mixing of the fundamental modes with the help of potential energy distribution (PED) through normal co-ordinate analysis has been discussed.  相似文献

Fourier transform infrared and Fourier transform Raman spectra of 3-amino-1-phenyl-2-buten-1-one and its deuterated analogue were recorded in the regions 400-4,000 and 150-4,000 cm(-1), respectively. Furthermore, the molecular structure and vibrational frequencies of title compound were investigated by a series of density functional theoretical, DFT, and ab initio calculations at the post-Hartree-Fock (MP2) level. Although, the calculated frequencies are generally in agreement with the observed spectra but the DFT results are in much better quantitative agreement with the observed spectra than the MP2 results. The observed wavenumbers were analyzed and assigned to different normal modes of vibration of the molecule. The calculated geometrical parameters show a strong intramolecular hydrogen bond with a N...O distance of 2.621-2.668 A. This bond length is shorter than that of its parent, 4-amino-3-penten-2-one (with two methyl groups in the beta-position), which is in agreement with spectroscopic results. The topological properties of the electron density contributions for intramolecular hydrogen bond in 3-amino-1-phenyl-2-buten-1-one and 4-amino-3-penten-2-one have been analyzed in term of the Bader theory of atoms in molecules (AIM). These results also support the stronger hydrogen bond in the title compound with respect to the parent molecule.  相似文献

Raman and FTIR spectra of 2-phenyl-4-(4-methoxy benzylidene)-2-oxazolin-5-one were recorded in the regions, 100-3300 and 400-4000 cm(-1), respectively. Vibrational frequencies and intensities of the fundamental modes of this hetrocyclic organic molecule were computed using ab initio as well as AM1 semiempirical molecular orbital methods. Ab initio calculations were carried out with basis set up to RHF/6-311G. Conformational studies regarding the effect of moving the methoxy group in the 2-phenyl-4-(4-methoxy benzylidene)-2-oxazolin-5-one molecule to a different position on the ring was also carried out. Observed vibrational wavenumbers were found to be mostly consistent with ab initio values. The most intense mode of vibration observed at 1250 cm(-1) in Raman spectra, also observed as a strong band in FTIR, was assigned as C-O stretching vibration in the methoxy group. Asymmetric stretching vibrations between CC and CN bonds was predicted as most intense mode by our ab initio calculation.  相似文献

The FTIR and FT Raman vibrational spectra of 1,5-methylnaphthalene (1,5-MN) have been recorded using Brunker IFS 66 V Spectrometer in the range 3600-10 cm(-1) in the solid phase. A detailed vibrational spectral analysis has been carried out and assignments of the observed fundamental bands have been proposed on the basis of peak positions and relative intensities. The Optimized molecular geometry, harmonic frequencies, electronic polarizability, atomic charges, dipole moment, rotational constants and several thermodynamic parameters in the ground state were calculated using ab initio Hartree Fock (HF) and density functional B3LYP methods (DFT) with 6-311++ G(d) basis set. With the help of different scaling factors, the observed vibrational wavenumbers in FTIR and FT Raman spectra were analyzed and assigned to different normal modes of the molecule. Most of the modes have wavenumbers in the expected range. The results of the calculations were applied to simulated infrared and Raman spectra of the title compound which showed excellent agreement with the observed spectra.  相似文献

N-(phenyl)-2,2-dichloroacetamide (NPA) and N-(chloro substituted phenyl)-2,2-dichloroacetamides of the configuration XyC6H(5-y)-NHCO-CHCl2 (where, X = Cl and y = 1, 2 and 3) were synthesised and the Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and Fourier transform Raman (FT-Raman) spectra of the compounds were recorded and analysed. The FTIR spectra of all the compounds were recorded in a Bruker IFS 66V spectrometer in the range of 4000-400 cm(-1) and the FT-Raman spectra were also recorded in the same instrument in the region 3500-100 cm(-1). The variation of an amide bond (-NHCO-) parameters with the substitution of the chlorine atom in the phenyl group and the mixing of different normal modes are discussed with the help of potential energy distribution (PED) calculated through normal co-ordinate analysis.  相似文献

Thin films of 4-tricyanovinyl-N,N-diethylaniline (TCVA) were prepared for the first time using thermal evaporation technique. The molecular structure and electronic transitions of TCVA films were investigated by Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-vis) spectra. The observed vibrational wavenumbers in FTIR spectra were analysed and assigned to different normal modes of the molecule. UV-vis electronic absorption spectral measurements of TCVA films were analysed to obtain the electronic transitions and optical band gap (E(g)). Other important optical parameters such as molar extinction coefficient (varepsilon(molar)), the oscillator strength (f), and the electric dipole strength (q(2)) were also reported.  相似文献

Geometry, vibrational wavenumbers and several thermodynamic parameters were calculated using ab initio quantum chemical methods for the 3,5-difluorobenzonitrile molecule. The results were compared with the experimental values. With the help of three specific scaling procedures, the observed vibrational wavenumbers in FTIR and Raman spectra were analysed and assigned to different normal modes of the molecule. Most of the modes have wavenumbers in the expected range and the error obtained was in general very low. Using PEDs the contributions were determined for the different modes to each wavenumber. From the PED, it is apparent that the frequency corresponding to C[triple bond]N stretching contains 87% contribution from the C[triple bond]N stretching force constant and it mixes with the C-CN stretching mode 13 to the extent of 12%. Other general conclusions were also deduced.  相似文献

The Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and FT-Raman spectra of 4-amino-2-methylquinoline (AMQ) have been recorded in the range 4000–400 and 4000–100 cm−1, respectively. The experimental vibrational frequency was compared with the wavenumbers obtained theoretically by ab initio HF and DFT–B3LYP gradient calculations employing the standard 6-31G** and high level 6-311++G** basis sets for optimised geometry of the compound. The complete vibrational assignment and analysis of the fundamental modes of the compounds were carried out using the experimental FTIR and FT-Raman data, and quantum mechanical studies. The geometry and normal modes of vibration obtained from the HF and DFT methods are in good agreement with the experimental data. The potential energy distribution of the fundamental modes was calculated with ab initio force fields utilising Wilson's FG matrix method. The NH-π interactions and the influence of amino and methyl groups on the skeletal modes are investigated.  相似文献
