We have synthesized a new series of chromium-group 15 dihydride and hydride complexes [H(2)As(Cr(CO)(5))(2)](-) (1) and [HE(Cr(CO)(5))(3)](2)(-) (E = As, 2a; E = Sb, 2b), which represent the first examples of group 6 complexes containing E-H fragments. The contrasting chemical reactivity of 2a and 2b with organic halogen derivatives is demonstrated. The reaction of 2a with RBr (R = PhCH(2), HC triple bond CCH(2)) produces the RX addition products [(R)(Br)As(Cr(CO)(5))(2)](-) (R = PhCH(2), 3; R = C(3)H(3), 4), while the treatment of 2b with RX (RX = PhCH(2)Br or HC triple bond CCH(2)Br, CH(3)(CH(2))(5)C(O)Cl) forms the halo-substituted complexes [XSb(Cr(CO)(5))(3)](2-) (X = Br, 5; X = Cl, 6). Moreover, the dihaloantimony complexes [XX'Sb(Cr(CO)(5))(2)](-) can be obtained from the reaction of 2b with the appropriate organic halides. In this study, a series of organoarsenic and antimony chromium carbonyl complexes have been synthesized and structurally characterized and the role of the main group on the formation of the resultant complexes is also discussed.  相似文献

The mechanism of formation of cyclic triphosphenium ions [-(CH(2))(n)P(R(2))PP(R(2))-](+) 3 from diphosphanes R(2)P(CH(2))(n)PR(2) and phosphorus(III) halides PX(3)(X = Cl or Br) has been unequivocally established for the six-membered heterocycles with R = Et, (i)Pr or c-Hex, n= 3, and for five-membered rings with R = Et, n= 2. The initial stage is the formation of an acyclic species, [R(2)P(CH(2))(n)P(R(2))PX(2)](+)X(-) 1. The cation of this species cyclises to a symmetrical dication [-R(2)P(CH(2))(n)P(R(2))P(X)-](2+) 2 by loss of halide, where the middle P atom has an X group attached and is still formally P(iii). The rate-determining step is then a redox reaction to form the final cyclic monocationic product 3, with a 'bare' middle P atom. Several transient intermediate species, including the precursor cyclic dication 2 in each case, have been identified by means of (31)P NMR solution-state spectroscopy.  相似文献

Seven hybrid organic-inorganic bisphosphonate molybdenum(VI) polyoxometalate complexes with the general formula [(Mo(3)O(8))(4)(O(3)PC(C(m)H(2m)NRR'R″)(O)PO(3))(4)](8-) (m = 3; R, R', and R″ = H or CH(3)) and [(Mo(3)O(8))(2)(O)(O(3)PC(C(m)H(2m)NRR'R″)(O)PO(3))(2)](6-) (m = 3 or 4; R, R', and R″ = H or CH(3)) have been synthesized and their structures solved using single-crystal X-ray diffraction. These compounds are made of a {Mo(12)} or a {Mo(6)} inorganic core functionalized by various alkylammonium bisphosphonates, with these ligands differing by the length of their alkyl chains and the number of methyl groups grafted on the N atom. The nature of the counter-cations (Na(+), K(+), Rb(+), Cs(+), and/or NH(4)(+)) constituting these materials has also been modulated. (31)P NMR spectroscopic studies in aqueous media have shown that all the dodecanuclear complexes reported here are stable in solution, whereas for the hexanuclear compounds, a dynamic equilibrium between two isomers has been evidenced, and the corresponding standard thermodynamic parameters determined for one of them. The electrochemical properties of six representative compounds of this family have been investigated. It has been found that the Mo(6+)/Mo(5+) reduction potential is similar for all the polyoxometalates studied. Besides, it is shown that electrochemical cycling is an efficient method for the deposition of these compounds on a surface. The photochromic properties of all the complexes reported herein have been studied in the solid state. Under irradiation in the near ultraviolet (UV), the {Mo(12)} systems shift from white to reddish-brown, while the {Mo(6)} compounds develop a purple coloration. The coloration kinetics has been systematically quantified and the optical band gaps, the salient coloration kinetic parameters and the coloration kinetic half-life times have been determined. This has evidenced that several of these materials develop very strong and rapid UV-induced color changes, with remarkable coloration contrasts. Finally, the optical properties of these systems are discussed in light of several salient parameters as the POM topology, the nature of the grafted bisphosphonate ligand, and the design of the hydrogen-bonding network at the organic-inorganic interface.  相似文献

We report a molecular dynamics study of cobalt bis(dicarbollide) anions [(B(9)C(2)H(8)X(3))(2)Co](-) (XCD(-)) commonly used in liquid-liquid extraction (X = H, Me, Cl, or Br), showing that these anions, although lacking the amphiphilic topology, behave as anionic surfactants. In pure water, they display "hydrophobic attractions", leading to the formation of aggregates of different sizes and shapes depending on the counterions. When simulated at a water/"oil" interface, the different anions (HCD(-), MeCD(-), CCD(-), and BrCD(-)) are found to be surface active. As a result, the simulated M(n+) counterions (M(n+) = Na(+), K(+), Cs(+), H(3)O(+), UO(2)(2+), Eu(3+)) concentrate on the aqueous side of the interface, forming a "double layer" whose characteristics are modulated by the hydrophobic character of the anion and by M(n+). The highly hydrophilic Eu(3+) or UO(2)(2+) cations that are generally "repelled" by aqueous interfaces are attracted by dicarbollides near the interface, which is crucial as far as the mechanism of assisted cation extraction to the oil phase is concerned. These cations interact with interfacial XCD(-) in their fully hydrated Eu(H(2)O)(9)(3+) and UO(2)(H(2)O)(5)(2+) forms, whereas the less hydrophilic monocharged cations display intimate contacts via their X substituents. The results obtained with the TIP3P and OPLS models for the solvents are confirmed with other water models (TIP5P or a polarizable 4P-Pol water) and with more polar "oil" models. The importance of interfacial phenomena is further demonstrated by simulations with a high oil-water ratio, leading to the formation of a micelle covered with CCD's. We suggest that the interfacial activity of dicarbollides and related hydrophobic anions is an important feature of synergism in liquid-liquid extraction of hard cations (e.g., for nuclear waste partitioning).  相似文献

Vibrational excitation (nu(f)<--nu(i)) cross-sections sigma(nu(f)<--nu(i) )(E) in resonant e-N(2) and e-H(2) scattering are calculated from transition matrix elements T(nu(f),nu(i) )(E) obtained using Fourier transform of the cross correlation function , where psi(nu(i))(R,t) approximately =e(-iH(A(2))-(R)t/h phi(nu(i))(R) with time evolution under the influence of the resonance anionic Hamiltonian H(A(2) (-))(A(2) (-)=N(2)(-)/H(2) (-)) implemented using Lanczos and fast Fourier transforms. The target (A(2)) vibrational eigenfunctions phi(nu(i))(R) and phi(nu(f))(R) are calculated using Fourier grid Hamiltonian method applied to potential energy (PE) curves of the neutral target. Application of this simple systematization to calculate vibrational structure in e-N(2) and e-H(2) scattering cross-sections provides mechanistic insights into features underlying presence/absence of structure in e-N(2) and e-H(2) scattering cross-sections. The results obtained with approximate PE curves are in reasonable agreement with experimental/calculated cross-section profiles, and cross correlation functions provide a simple demarcation between the boomerang and impulse models.  相似文献

Standard thermochemical data (in the form of Δ(f)H° and Δ(f)G°) are available for crystalline (c) materials but rarely for their corresponding amorphous (a) counterparts. This paper establishes correlations between the sets of data for the two material forms (where known), which can then be used as a guideline for estimation of missing data. Accordingly, Δ(f)H°(a)/kJ mol(-1) ≈ 0.993Δ(f)H°(c)/kJ mol(-1) + 12.52 (R(2) = 0.9999; n = 50) and Δ(f)G°/kJ mol(-1) ≈ 0.988Δ(f)H°(c)/kJ mol(-1) + 0.70 (R(2) = 0.9999; n = 10). Much more tentatively, we propose that S°(298)(c)/J K(-1) mol(-1) ≈ 1.084S°(298)(c)/J K(-1) mol(-1) + 6.54 (R(2) = 0.9873; n = 11). An amorphous hydrate enthalpic version of the Difference Rule is also proposed (and tested) in the form [Δ(f)H°(M(p)X(q)·nH(2)O,a) - Δ(f)H°(M(p)X(q),a)]/kJ mol(-1) ≈ Θ(Hf)n ≈ -302.0n, where M(p)X(q)·nH(2)O represents an amorphous hydrate and M(p)X(q) the corresponding amorphous anhydrous parent salt.  相似文献

Flash photochemically generated Re(CO)(5) reacts with halide complexes, Cu(Me(4)[14]-1,3,8,10-tetraeneN(4))X(+), Cu(Me(2)pyo[14]trieneN(4))X(+), and Ni(Me(2)pyo[14]trieneN(4))X(+) (X = Cl, Br, I) and ion pairs, [Co(bipy)(3)(3+), X(-)]. The rate constants for the electron transfers have values, k approximately 10(9) M(-1) s(-1), close to expectations for processes with diffusion-controlled rates. Reaction intermediates, probably bimetallic species, were detected in electron-transfer reactions of Re(CO)(5) with Cu(Me(6)[14]dieneN(4))X(+), (X = Cl, Br, I). In the absence of the halides X(-), the electron-transfer reactions between Re(CO)(5) and these complexes are slow, k < 10(6) M(-1) s(-1). The results are discussed in terms of inner-sphere pathways, namely an atom-transfer-concerted mechanism. The mediation of bimetallic intermediates in the electron transfer is also considered.  相似文献

Substituent effects on cation-π interactions have been quantified using a variety of Φ-X···M(+) complexes where Φ, X, and M(+) are the π-system, substituent, and cation, respectively. The cation-π interaction energy, E(M(+)), showed a strong linear correlation with the molecular electrostatic potential (MESP) based measure of the substituent effect, ΔV(min) (the difference between the MESP minimum (V(min)) on the π-region of a substituted system and the corresponding unsubstituted system). This linear relationship is E(M(+)) = C(M(+))(ΔV(min)) + E(M(+))' where C(M(+)) is the reaction constant and E(M(+))' is the cation-π interaction energy of the unsubstituted complex. This relationship is similar to the Hammett equation and its first term yields the substituent contribution of the cation-π interaction energy. Further, a linear correlation between C(M(+))() and E(M(+))()' has been established, which facilitates the prediction of C(M(+)) for unknown cations. Thus, a prediction of E(M(+)) for any Φ-X···M(+) complex is achieved by knowing the values of E(M(+))' and ΔV(min). The generality of the equation is tested for a variety of cations (Li(+), Na(+), K(+), Mg(+), BeCl(+), MgCl(+), CaCl(+), TiCl(3)(+), CrCl(2)(+), NiCl(+), Cu(+), ZnCl(+), NH(4)(+), CH(3)NH(3)(+), N(CH(3))(4)(+), C(NH(2))(3)(+)), substituents (N(CH(3))(2), NH(2), OCH(3), CH(3), OH, H, SCH(3), SH, CCH, F, Cl, COOH, CHO, CF(3), CN, NO(2)), and a large number of π-systems. The tested systems also include multiple substituted π-systems, viz. ethylene, acetylene, hexa-1,3,5-triene, benzene, naphthalene, indole, pyrrole, phenylalanine, tryptophan, tyrosine, azulene, pyrene, [6]-cyclacene, and corannulene and found that E(M)(+) follows the additivity of substituent effects. Further, the substituent effects on cationic sandwich complexes of the type C(6)H(6)···M(+)···C(6)H(5)X have been assessed and found that E(M(+)) can be predicted with 97.7% accuracy using the values of E(M(+))' and ΔV(min). All the Φ-X···M(+) systems showed good agreement between the calculated and predicted E(M(+))() values, suggesting that the ΔV(min) approach to substituent effect is accurate and useful for predicting the interactive behavior of substituted π-systems with cations.  相似文献

Pentavalent uranium complexes of the formula U(V)X(2)[N(SiMe(3))(2)](3) (X = F(-), Cl(-), Br(-), N(3)(-), NCS(-)) are accessible from the oxidation of U(III)[N(SiMe(3))(2)](3) through two sequential, one-electron oxidation reactions (halides) and substitution through salt metathesis (pseudohalides). Uranium(v) mixed-halides are also synthesized by successive one-electron oxidation reactions.  相似文献

Iodinations of the ortho, meta, and para fluorous arenes (R(f8)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2))(2)C(6)H(4) (R(f8)=(CF(2))(7)CF(3)) with I(2)/H(5)IO(6) in AcOH/H(2)SO(4)/H(2)O give 3,4-(R(f8)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2))(2)C(6)H(3)I (5) and the analogous 2,4- (6) and 2,5- (7) isomers, respectively. Spectroscopic yields are >90 %, but 5 and 7 must be separated by chromatography from by-products (yields isolated: 70 %, 97 %, 61 %). Reaction of 1,3,5-(R(f8)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2))(3)C(6)H(3) with PhI(OAc)(2)/I(2) gives 2,4,6-(R(f8)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2))(3)C(6)H(2)I (8) on multigram scales in 97 % yield. The CF(3)C(6)F(11)/toluene partition coefficients of 5-8 (24 degrees C: 69.5:30.5 (5), 74.7:25.3 (6), 73.9:26.1 (7), 98.0:2.0 (8)) are lower than those of the precursors, but CF(3)C(6)F(11)/MeOH gives higher values (97.0:3.0 (5), 98.6:1.4 (6), 98.0:2.0 (7), >99.3:<0.3 (8)). Reactions of 5-8 with excess NaBO(3) in AcOH yield the corresponding ArI(OAc)(2) species 9-12 (9, 85 % as a 90:10 9/5 mixture; 10, 97 %; 11, 95 %; 12, 93 % as a 95:5 12/8 mixture). These rapidly oxidize 1,4-hydroquinones in MeOH. Subsequent additions of CF(3)C(6)F(11) give liquid biphase systems. Solvent removal from the CF(3)C(6)F(11) phases gives 5-8 in >99-98 % yields, and solvent removal from the MeOH phases gives the quinone products, normally in >99-95 % yields. The recovered compounds 5-8 are easily reoxidized to 9-12 and used again.  相似文献

Hydrolysis of [NbCp'Cl(4)] (Cp' = η(5)-C(5)H(4)SiMe(3)) with the water adduct H(2)O·B(C(6)F(5))(3) afforded the oxo-borane compound [NbCp'Cl(2){O·B(C(6)F(5))(3)}] (2a). This compound reacted with [MgBz(2)(THF)(2)] giving [NbCp'Bz(2){O·B(C(6)F(5))(3)}] (2b), whereas [NbCp'Me(2){O·B(C(6)F(5))(3)}] (2c) was obtained from the reaction of [NbCp'Me(4)] with H(2)O·B(C(6)F(5))(3). Addition of Al(C(6)F(5))(3) to solutions containing the oxo-borane compounds [MCp(R)X(2){O·B(C(6)F(5))(3)}] (M = Ta, Cp(R) = η(5)-C(5)Me(5) (Cp*), X = Cl 1a, Bz 1b, Me 1c; M = Nb, Cp(R) = Cp', X = Cl 2a) afforded the oxo-alane complexes [MCp(R)X(2){O·Al(C(6)F(5))(3)}] (M = Ta, Cp(R) = Cp*, X = Cl 3a, Bz 3b, Me 3c; M = Nb, Cp(R) = Cp', X = Cl 4a), releasing B(C(6)F(5))(3). Compound 3a was also obtained by addition of Al(C(6)F(5))(3) to the dinuclear μ-oxo compound [TaCp*Cl(2)(μ-O)](2), meanwhile addition of the water adduct H(2)O·Al(C(6)F(5))(3) to [TaCp*Me(4)] gave complex 3c. The structure of 2a and 3a was obtained by X-ray diffraction studies. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were carried out to further understand these types of oxo compounds.  相似文献

[NMe(4)][R(f)Te(SC(S)NR(2))(2)] derivatives are selectively formed by the oxidation of [NMe(4)]TeR(f) (R(f) = CF(3), C(2)F(5)) with [R(2)NC(S)S](2) (NR(2) = NEt(2), NBz(2), N(CH(2))(4)) in almost quantitative yields. An alternative route to obtain the dithiocarbamato complex anions offer reactions of Te[SC(S)NR(2)](2) (NR(2) = NEt(2), NBz(2)) with equimolar amounts of Me(3)SiR(f) and [NMe(4)]F. Some of the derivatives were recrystallized with bulky cations in order to determine the crystal structures. Structural elucidation by diffraction methods exhibit the structural feature of a distorted pentagonal planar environment (resembling "butterflies") around the tellurium centres. The carbamato tellurates can be transferred easily into the neutral derivatives, R(f)TeSC(S)NR(2), upon treatment with Ag[BF(4)]. In solution they equilibrate with Te(2)(R(f))(2) and [R(2)NC(S)S](2) and finally are transformed into Te(R(f))(2), Te[SC(S)NR(2)](2), and Te[SC(S)NR(2)](4), respectively. All compounds are fully characterized by NMR spectroscopic methods ((1)H, (13)C, (19)F, (125)Te). Additionally, synthesis and characterization of the hitherto unknown derivative [NMe(4)]TeC(2)F(5) are described.  相似文献

Reaction of [Ru (VI)(N)(L (1))(MeOH)] (+) (L (1) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)- o-cyclohexylenediamine dianion) with excess pyridine in CH 3CN produces [Ru (III)(L (1))(py) 2] (+) and N 2. The proposed mechanism involves initial equilibrium formation of [Ru (VI)(N)(L (1))(py)] (+), which undergoes rapid N...N coupling to produce [(py)(L (1))Ru (III) N N-Ru (III)(L (1))(py)] (2+); this is followed by pyridine substituion to give the final product. This ligand-induced N...N coupling of Ru (VI)N is utilized in the preparation of a series of new ruthenium(III) salen complexes, [Ru (III)(L)(X) 2] (+/-) (L = salen ligand; X = H 2O, 1-MeIm, py, Me 2SO, PhNH 2, ( t )BuNH 2, Cl (-) or CN (-)). The structures of [Ru (III)(L (1))(NH 2Ph) 2](PF 6) ( 6), K[Ru (III)(L (1))(CN) 2] ( 9), [Ru (III)(L (2))(NCCH 3) 2][Au (I)(CN) 2] ( 11) (L (2) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)- o-phenylenediamine dianion) and [N ( n )Bu 4][Ru (III)(L (3))Cl 2] ( 12) (L (3) = N, N'-bis(salicylidene)ethylenediamine dianion) have been determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

Reaction of sodium hydrotris(methimazolyl)borate (NaTm(Me)) with cobalt halides leads to the formation of paramagnetic pseudotetrahedral [Co(Tm(Me))X] (X = Cl, Br, I), of which the bromide has been crystallographically characterized. Mass spectrometry reveals the presence of higher molecular weight fragments [Co(Tm(Me))(2)](+) and [Co(2)(Tm(Me))(2)X](+) in solution. Aerial oxidation in donor solvents (e.g. MeCN) leads to formation of the [Co(Tm(Me))(2)](+) cation, which has been crystallographically characterized as the BF(4)(-), ClO(4)(-), Br(-), and I(-), salts. Attempts to prepare the mixed sandwich complex, [Co(Cp)(Tm(Me))](+), resulted in ligand decomposition to yield [Co(mtH)(3)I]I (mtH = 1-methylimidazole-2-thione), but with the more electron donating methylcyclopentadienyl (Cp(Me)) ligand, [Co(Cp(Me))(Tm(Me))]I was isolated and characterized. Electrochemical measurements reveal that the cobalt(III) Tm(Me) complexes are consistently more difficult to reduce than their Tp and Cp congeners.  相似文献

Water adduct ions are seen in both modes. The assignments are facilitated by agreement between observed and calculated isotopic patterns and tandem mass spectrometry studies.  相似文献

Reactions of 2,6-dibromo-, 3,5-dibromo-, and 2,4,6-tribromopyridine with IZnCH(2)CH(2)R(f8) (R(f8) = (CF(2))(7)CF(3)) in THF at 65 degrees C in the presence of trans-Cl(2)Pd(PPh(3))(2) (5 mol %) gave the fluorous pyridines 2,6- and 3,5-NC(5)H(3)(CH(2)CH(2)R(f8))(2) (1 and 2; 85%, 31%) and 2,4,6-NC(5)H(2)(CH(2)CH(2)R(f8))(3) (3, 61%). Reaction of 2,6-pyridinedicarboxaldehyde with [Ph(3)PCH(2)CH(2)R(f8)](+)I(-)/K(2)CO(3) (p-dioxane/H(2)O, 95 degrees C) gave 2,6-NC(5)H(3)(CH[double bond]CHCH(2)R(f8))(2) (95%; 70:30 ZZ/ZE), which was treated with H(2) (1 atm, 12 h) and 10% Pd/C to yield 2,6-NC(5)H(3)(CH(2)CH(2)CH(2)R(f8))(2) (5, 95%), a higher homologue of 1. Longer reaction times afforded piperidine cis-2,6-HNC(5)H(8)(CH(2)CH(2)CH(2)R(f8))(2) (6, 98%). The stereochemistry was established by NMR analysis of the N-benzylpiperidine. Pyridines 1-3 and 5 are low-melting white solids with CF(3)C(6)F(11)/toluene partition coefficients (24 degrees C) of 93.8:6.2, 93.9:6.1, >99.7:<0.3, and 90.4:9.6, respectively (6, 93.6:6.4). Reaction of 1 and CF(3)SO(3)H gave a pyridinium salt, and Cl(2)Pd(NCCH(3))(2) (0.5 equiv) yielded trans-Cl(2)Pd(1)(2). The crystal structure of the former, which also exhibited liquid crystalline and ionic liquid phases, was determined.  相似文献

The Sb(III)-containing polyanions 1-3 possess unique structural features, as they represent the first examples of sandwich-type POMs with trigonal-pyramidal Sb(III)O(3) linkers. The stability of 1-3 in aqueous media was investigated by multinuclear ((183)W, (31)P) NMR and UV-Vis spectroscopy.  相似文献

Reactivity of the two classes of very weak donors R(2)XO(2) (X = S, R = Me (1) and Ph (2); X = Se, R = Me (3) and Ph (4)) have been studied. Coordination properties of sulfones and selenones in solution and in the gas phase have been compared for the first time using a model bidentate metal complex, [Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4)]. Two coordination modes, bridging mu(2)-O,O' and terminal eta(1)-O, have been detected. These types of binding were realized in two series of sulfone and selenone metal complexes, polymeric mono-adducts [Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4).(R(2)XO(2))]( infinity ) (X = S, R = Me (1a); R = Ph (2a); X = Se, R = Ph (4a)) and discrete bis-adducts [Rh(2)(O(2)CCF(3))(4).(R(2)XO(2))(2)] (X = S, R = Ph (2b); X = Se, R = Me (3b)). The compositions and structures of new compounds have been confirmed by NMR and IR spectroscopy, chemical analyses, and X-ray diffraction studies. Compounds 3b and 4a are the first crystallographically characterized metal complexes having selenone ligands coordinated to the metal centers. Preparation and X-ray study of analogous metal complexes of sulfone and selenone ligands allow, for the first time, tracking the structural changes induced by metal coordination. In addition, the X-ray structure of dimethyl selenone, Me(2)SeO(2) (3), an analogue of Me(2)SO(2), has been determined. Geometries of coordinated sulfone and selenones ligands have been compared with those of the corresponding "free" molecules.  相似文献

We use calorimetrically detected crystal nucleation and growth studies to broaden the discussion of fluctuation-induced nucleation processes to include composition fluctuations in ionic complex-forming systems. We use the model system Ca(NO(3))(2)-KNO(3) with NaNO(3) introduced as a third component, so that crystallization kinetics can be controlled by change of alkali cation at constant mole fraction of Ca(NO(3))(2). At fixed NaNO(3) content, we find separate and thermodynamically anomalous kinetics for the crystallization of NaNO(3) and Ca(NO(3))(2),which we attribute to the importance of slow concentration fluctuations in the latter case. The "nose" of the time-temperature-transformation TTT curve for crystallization of the Ca(NO(3))(2) occurs at much higher temperatures and longer times than that for NaNO(3) and the shape of the curve is different. Above the metastable liquidus surface of NaNO(3), supercooled ternary melts can persist for long times. Suppression of the fast NaNO(3) crystallization, by replacement of Na(+) by K(+), is a prerequisite for easy vitrification in this system.  相似文献
