For three coadjoint orbits \(\mathcal {O}_1, \mathcal {O}_2\) and \(\mathcal {O}_3\) in \(\mathfrak {g}^*\) , the Corwin–Greenleaf function \(n(\mathcal {O}_1 \times \mathcal {O}_2, \mathcal {O}_3)\) is given by the number of \(G\) -orbits in \(\{(\lambda , \mu ) \in \mathcal {O}_1 \times \mathcal {O}_2 \, : \, \lambda + \mu \in \mathcal {O}_3 \}\) under the diagonal action. In the case where \(G\) is a simple Lie group of Hermitian type, we give an explicit formula of \(n(\mathcal {O}_1 \times \mathcal {O}_2, \mathcal {O}_3)\) for coadjoint orbits \(\mathcal {O}_1\) and \(\mathcal {O}_2\) that meet \(\left( [\mathfrak {k}, \mathfrak {k}] + \mathfrak {p}\right) ^{\perp }\) , and show that the formula is regarded as the ‘classical limit’ of a special case of Kobayashi’s multiplicity-free theorem (Progr. Math. 2007) in the branching law to symmetric pairs.  相似文献

Let \(\mathcal{A}\) be a representation finite algebra over finite field k such that the indecomposable \(\mathcal{A}\) -modules are determined by their dimension vectors and for each \(M, L \in ind(\mathcal{A})\) and \(N\in mod(\mathcal{A})\) , either \(F^{M}_{N L}=0\) or \(F^{M}_{L N}=0\) . We show that \(\mathcal{A}\) has Hall polynomials and the rational extension of its Ringel–Hall algebra equals the rational extension of its composition algebra. This result extend and unify some known results about Hall polynomials. As a consequence we show that if \(\mathcal{A}\) is a representation finite simply-connected algebra, or finite dimensional k-algebra such that there are no short cycles in \(mod(\mathcal{A})\) , or representation finite cluster tilted algebra, then \(\mathcal{A}\) has Hall polynomials and \(\mathcal{H}(\mathcal{A})\otimes_\mathbb{Z}Q=\mathcal{C}(\mathcal{A})\otimes_\mathbb{Z}Q\) .  相似文献

Suppose that X is a right process which is associated with a non-symmetric Dirichlet form $(\mathcal{E},D(\mathcal{E}))$ on L 2(E;m). For $u\in D(\mathcal{E})$ , we have Fukushima??s decomposition: $\tilde{u}(X_{t})-\tilde{u}(X_{0})=M^{u}_{t}+N^{u}_{t}$ . In this paper, we investigate the strong continuity of the generalized Feynman?CKac semigroup defined by $P^{u}_{t}f(x)=E_{x}[e^{N^{u}_{t}}f(X_{t})]$ . Let $Q^{u}(f,g)=\mathcal{E}(f,g)+\mathcal{E}(u,fg)$ for $f,g\in D(\mathcal{E})_{b}$ . Denote by J 1 the dissymmetric part of the jumping measure J of $(\mathcal{E},D(\mathcal{E}))$ . Under the assumption that J 1 is finite, we show that $(Q^{u},D(\mathcal{E})_{b})$ is lower semi-bounded if and only if there exists a constant ?? 0??0 such that $\|P^{u}_{t}\|_{2}\leq e^{\alpha_{0}t}$ for every t>0. If one of these conditions holds, then $(P^{u}_{t})_{t\geq0}$ is strongly continuous on L 2(E;m). If X is equipped with a differential structure, then this result also holds without assuming that J 1 is finite.  相似文献

This paper deals with the initial value problem of type $$\begin{array}{ll} \qquad \frac{\partial u}{\partial t} = \mathcal{L} u := \sum \limits^3_{i=0} A^{(i)} (t, x) \frac{\partial u}{\partial x_{i}} + B(t, x)u + C(t, x)\\ u (0, x) = u_{0}(x)\end{array}$$ in the space of generalized regular functions in the sense of Quaternionic Analysis satisfying the differential equation $$\mathcal{D}_{\lambda}u := \mathcal{D} u + \lambda u = 0,$$ where ${t \in [0, T]}$ is the time variable, x runs in a bounded and simply connected domain in ${\mathbb{R}^{4}, \lambda}$ is a real number, and ${\mathcal{D}}$ is the Cauchy-Fueter operator. We prove necessary and sufficient conditions on the coefficients of the operator ${\mathcal{L}}$ under which ${\mathcal{L}}$ is associated with the operator ${\mathcal{D}_{\lambda}}$ , i.e. ${\mathcal{L}}$ transforms the set of all solutions of the differential equation ${\mathcal{D}_{\lambda}u = 0}$ into solutions of the same equation for fixedly chosen t. This criterion makes it possible to construct operators ${\mathcal{L}}$ for which the initial value problem is uniquely soluble for an arbitrary initial generalized regular function u 0 by the method of associated spaces constructed by W. Tutschke (Teubner Leipzig and Springer Verlag, 1989) and the solution is also generalized regular for each t.  相似文献

Part of this paper appeared in the preliminary version [16]. An ordered pair ? = (S, S +) of subsets of a groundset V is called a biset if S ? S+; (V S +;V S) is the co-biset of ?. Two bisets \(\hat X,\hat Y\) intersect if X XY \(\not 0\) and cross if both XY \(\not 0\) and X +Y + ≠= V. The intersection and the union of two bisets \(\hat X,\hat Y\) are defined by \(\hat X \cap \hat Y = (X \cap Y,X^ + \cap Y^ + )\) and \(\hat X \cup \hat Y = (X \cup Y,X^ + \cup Y^ + )\) . A biset-family \(\mathcal{F}\) is crossing (intersecting) if \(\hat X \cap \hat Y,\hat X \cup \hat Y \in \mathcal{F}\) for any \(\hat X,\hat Y \in \mathcal{F}\) that cross (intersect). A directed edge covers a biset ? if it goes from S to V S +. We consider the problem of covering a crossing biset-family \(\mathcal{F}\) by a minimum-cost set of directed edges. While for intersecting \(\mathcal{F}\) , a standard primal-dual algorithm computes an optimal solution, the approximability of the case of crossing \(\mathcal{F}\) is not yet understood, as it includes several NP-hard problems, for which a poly-logarithmic approximation was discovered only recently or is not known. Let us say that a biset-family \(\mathcal{F}\) is k-regular if \(\hat X \cap \hat Y,\hat X \cup \hat Y \in \mathcal{F}\) for any \(\hat X,\hat Y \in \mathcal{F}\) with |V (XY)≥k+1 that intersect. In this paper we obtain an O(log |V|)-approximation algorithm for arbitrary crossing \(\mathcal{F}\) if in addition both \(\mathcal{F}\) and the family of co-bisets of \(\mathcal{F}\) are k-regular, our ratios are: \(O\left( {\log \frac{{|V|}} {{|V| - k}}} \right) \) if |S + \ S| = k for all \(\hat S \in \mathcal{F}\) , and \(O\left( {\frac{{|V|}} {{|V| - k}}\log \frac{{|V|}} {{|V| - k}}} \right) \) if |S + \ S| = k for all \(\hat S \in \mathcal{F}\) . Using these generic algorithms, we derive for some network design problems the following approximation ratios: \(O\left( {\log k \cdot \log \tfrac{n} {{n - k}}} \right) \) for k-Connected Subgraph, and O(logk) \(\min \{ \tfrac{n} {{n - k}}\log \tfrac{n} {{n - k}},\log k\} \) for Subset k-Connected Subgraph when all edges with positive cost have their endnodes in the subset.  相似文献

Consider a finite dimensional complex Hilbert space ${\mathcal{H}}$ , with ${dim(\mathcal{H}) \geq 3}$ , define ${\mathbb{S}(\mathcal{H}):= \{x\in \mathcal{H} \:|\: \|x\|=1\}}$ , and let ${\nu_\mathcal{H}}$ be the unique regular Borel positive measure invariant under the action of the unitary operators in ${\mathcal{H}}$ , with ${\nu_\mathcal{H}(\mathbb{S}(\mathcal{H}))=1}$ . We prove that if a complex frame function ${f : \mathbb{S}(\mathcal{H})\to \mathbb{C}}$ satisfies ${f \in \mathbb{L}^2(\mathbb{S}(\mathcal{H}), \nu_\mathcal{H})}$ , then it verifies Gleason’s statement: there is a unique linear operator ${A: \mathcal{H} \to \mathcal{H}}$ such that ${f(u) = \langle u| A u\rangle}$ for every ${u \in \mathbb{S}(\mathcal{H}).\,A}$ is Hermitean when f is real. No boundedness requirement is thus assumed on f a priori.  相似文献

We prove that for each universal algebra ${(A, \mathcal{A})}$ of cardinality ${|A| \geq 2}$ and infinite set X of cardinality ${|X| \geq | \mathcal{A}|}$ , the X-th power ${(A^{X}, \mathcal{A}^{X})}$ of the algebra ${(A, \mathcal{A})}$ contains a free subset ${\mathcal{F} \subset A^{X}}$ of cardinality ${|\mathcal{F}| = 2^{|X|}}$ . This generalizes the classical Fichtenholtz–Kantorovitch–Hausdorff result on the existence of an independent family ${\mathcal{I} \subset \mathcal{P}(X)}$ of cardinality ${|\mathcal{I}| = |\mathcal{P}(X)|}$ in the Boolean algebra ${\mathcal{P}(X)}$ of subsets of an infinite set X.  相似文献

Let G be a commutative group, written additively, with a neutral element 0, and let K be a finite group. Suppose that K acts on G via group automorphisms ${G \ni a \mapsto ka \in G}$ , ${k \in K}$ . Let ${{\mathfrak{H}}}$ be a complex Hilbert space and let ${{\mathcal L}({\mathfrak{H}})}$ be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on ${{\mathfrak{H}}}$ . A mapping ${u \colon G \to {\mathcal L}({\mathfrak{H}})}$ is termed a K-spherical function if it satisfies (1) ${|K|^{-1} \sum_{k\in K} u (a+kb)=u (a) u (b)}$ for any ${a,b\in G}$ , where |K| denotes the cardinality of K, and (2) ${u (0) = {\rm id}_{\mathfrak {H}},}$ where ${{\rm id}_{\mathfrak {H}}}$ designates the identity operator on ${{\mathfrak{H}}}$ . The main result of the paper is that for each K-spherical function ${u \colon G \to {\mathcal {L}}({\mathfrak {H}})}$ such that ${\| u \|_{\infty} = \sup_{a\in G} \| u (a)\|_{{\mathcal L}({\mathfrak{H}})} < \infty,}$ there is an invertible operator S in ${{\mathcal L}({\mathfrak{H}})}$ with ${\| S \| \, \| S^{-1}\| \leq |K| \, \| u \|_{\infty}^2}$ such that the K-spherical function ${{\tilde{u}} \colon G \to {\mathcal L}({\mathfrak{H}})}$ defined by ${{\tilde{u}}(a) = S u (a) S^{-1},\,a \in G,}$ satisfies ${{\tilde{u}}(-a) = {\tilde{u}}(a)^*}$ for each ${a \in G}$ . It is shown that this last condition is equivalent to insisting that ${{\tilde{u}}(a)}$ be normal for each ${a \in G}$ .  相似文献

Let K be a field, $\mathcal {O}_v$ a valuation ring of K associated to a valuation v: K → Γ?∪?{?∞?}, and m v the unique maximal ideal of $\mathcal {O}_v$ . Consider an ideal $\mathcal {I}$ of the free K-algebra $K\langle X\rangle =K\langle X_1,...,X_n\rangle$ on X 1,...,X n . If ${\cal I}$ is generated by a subset $\mathcal {G}\subset{\cal O}_v\langle X\rangle$ which is a monic Gr?bner basis of ${\cal I}$ in $K\langle X\rangle$ , where $\mathcal {O}_v\langle X\rangle =\mathcal{O}_v\langle X_1,...,X_n\rangle$ is the free $\mathcal{O}_v$ -algebra on X 1,...,X n , then the valuation v induces naturally an exhaustive and separated Γ-filtration F v A for the K-algebra $A=K\langle X\rangle /\mathcal {I}$ , and moreover $\mathcal{I}\cap\mathcal{O}_v\langle X\rangle =\langle\mathcal{G}\rangle$ holds in $\mathcal{O}_v\langle X\rangle$ ; it follows that, if furthermore $\mathcal{G}\not\subset {\bf m}_v{O}_v\langle X\rangle$ and $k\langle X\rangle /\langle\overline{\mathcal G}\rangle$ is a domain, where $k=\mathcal{O}_v/{\bf m}_v$ is the residue field of $\mathcal{O}_v$ , $k\langle X\rangle =k\langle X_1,...,X_n\rangle$ is the free k-algebra on X 1,...,X n , and $\overline{\mathcal G}$ is the image of $\mathcal{G}$ under the canonical epimorphism $\mathcal{O}_v\langle X\rangle\rightarrow k\langle X\rangle$ , then F v A determines a valuation function A → Γ?∪?{?∞?}, and thereby v extends naturally to a valuation function on the (skew-)field Δ of fractions of A provided Δ exists.  相似文献

Let \((R, \frak{m}, k_{R})\) be a regular local k-algebra satisfying the weak Jacobian criterion, and such that k R /k is an algebraic field extension. Let \(\mathcal{D}_{R}\) be the ring of k-linear differential operators of R. We give an explicit decomposition of the \(\mathcal{D}_{R}\) -module \(\mathcal{D}_{R}/\mathcal{D}_{R} \frak{m}_{R}^{n+1}\) as a direct sum of simple modules, all isomorphic to \(\mathcal{D}_{R}/\mathcal{D}_{R} \frak{m}\) , where certain “Pochhammer” differential operators are used to describe generators of the simple components.  相似文献

We prove an analogon of the the fundamental homomorphism theorem for certain classes of exact and essentially surjective functors of Abelian categories $\mathcal{Q}:\mathcal{A} \to \mathcal{B}$ . It states that $\mathcal{Q}$ is up to equivalence the Serre quotient $\mathcal{A} \to \mathcal{A} / \ker \mathcal{Q}$ , even in cases when the latter does not admit a section functor. For several classes of schemes X, including projective and toric varieties, this characterization applies to the sheafification functor from a certain category $\mathcal{A}$ of finitely presented graded modules to the category $\mathcal{B}=\mathfrak{Coh}\, X$ of coherent sheaves on X. This gives a direct proof that $\mathfrak{Coh}\, X$ is a Serre quotient of $\mathcal{A}$ .  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{L}}$ be a ${\mathcal{J}}$ -subspace lattice on a Banach space X over the real or complex field ${\mathbb{F}}$ with dim X ≥ 2 and Alg ${\mathcal{L}}$ be the associated ${\mathcal{J}}$ -subspace lattice algebra. For any scalar ${\xi \in \mathbb{F}}$ , there is a characterization of any linear map L : Alg ${\mathcal{L} \rightarrow {\rm Alg} {\mathcal{L}}}$ satisfying ${L([A,B]_\xi) = [L(A),B]_\xi + [A,L(B)]_\xi}$ for any ${A, B \in{\rm Alg} {\mathcal{L}}}$ with AB = 0 (rep. ${[A,B]_ \xi = AB - \xi BA = 0}$ ) given. Based on these results, a complete characterization of (generalized) ξ-Lie derivations for all possible ξ on Alg ${\mathcal{L}}$ is obtained.  相似文献

We study the structure of a metric n-Lie algebra G over the complex field C. Let G = SR be the Levi decomposition, where R is the radical of G and S is a strong semisimple subalgebra of G. Denote by m(G) the number of all minimal ideals of an indecomposable metric n-Lie algebra and R ⊥ the orthogonal complement of R. We obtain the following results. As S-modules, R ⊥ is isomorphic to the dual module of G/R. The dimension of the vector space spanned by all nondegenerate invariant symmetric bilinear forms on G is equal to that of the vector space of certain linear transformations on G; this dimension is greater than or equal to m(G) + 1. The centralizer of R in G is equal to the sum of all minimal ideals; it is the direct sum of R ⊥ and the center of G. Finally, G has no strong semisimple ideals if and only if R⊥■R.  相似文献

Let ${\mathcal{L}}$ be a subspace lattice on a complex Banach space X and δ be a linear mapping from ${alg\mathcal{L}}$ into B(X) such that for every ${A \in alg\mathcal{L}, 2\delta(A^2)=\delta(A)A + A\delta(A)}$ or ${\delta(A^3) = A\delta(A)A}$ . We show that if one of the following holds (1) ${\vee\{L : L \in \mathcal{J}(\mathcal{L})\}=X}$ , (2) ${\wedge\{L_-: L \in \mathcal{J}(\mathcal{L})\}=(0)}$ and X is reflexive, then δ is a centralizer. We also show that if ${\mathcal{L}}$ is a CSL and δ is a linear mapping from ${alg\mathcal{L}}$ into itself, then δ is a centralizer.  相似文献

Let \(\mathcal{S}\) be a finite additively written commutative semigroup, and let \(\exp(\mathcal{S})\) be its exponent which is defined as the least common multiple of all periods of the elements in \(\mathcal{S}\) . For every sequence T of elements in \(\mathcal{S}\) (repetition allowed), let \(\sigma(T) \in\mathcal{S}\) denote the sum of all terms of T. Define the Davenport constant \(\mathsf{D}(\mathcal{S})\) of \(\mathcal{S}\) to be the least positive integer d such that every sequence T over \(\mathcal{S}\) of length at least d contains a proper subsequence T′ with σ(T′)=σ(T), and define \(\mathsf{E}(\mathcal{S})\) to be the least positive integer ? such that every sequence T over \(\mathcal{S}\) of length at least ? contains a subsequence T′ with \(|T|-|T'|= \lceil\frac{|\mathcal{S}|}{\exp(\mathcal{S})} \rceil \exp(\mathcal{S})\) and σ(T′)=σ(T). When \(\mathcal{S}\) is a finite abelian group, it is well known that \(\lceil\frac{|\mathcal{S}|}{\exp(\mathcal{S})} \rceil\exp (\mathcal{S})=|\mathcal{S}|\) and \(\mathsf{E}(\mathcal{S})=\mathsf{D}(\mathcal{S})+|\mathcal{S}|-1\) . In this paper we investigate whether \(\mathsf{E}(\mathcal{S})\leq \mathsf{D}(\mathcal{S})+ \lceil\frac{|\mathcal{S}|}{\exp(\mathcal {S})} \rceil \exp(\mathcal{S})-1\) holds true for all finite commutative semigroups \(\mathcal{S}\) . We provide a positive answer to the question above for some classes of finite commutative semigroups, including group-free semigroups, elementary semigroups, and archimedean semigroups with certain constraints.  相似文献

We consider the following perturbed version of quasilinear Schrödinger equation $$\begin{array}{lll}-\varepsilon^2\Delta u +V(x)u-\varepsilon^2\Delta (u^2)u=h(x,u)u+K(x)|u|^{22^*-2}u\end{array}$$ in ${\mathbb{R}^N}$ , where N ≥ 3, 22* = 4N/(N ? 2), V(x) is a nonnegative potential, and K(x) is a bounded positive function. Using minimax methods, we show that this equation has at least one positive solution provided that ${\varepsilon \leq \mathcal{E}}$ ; for any ${m\in\mathbb{N}}$ , it has m pairs of solutions if ${\varepsilon \leq \mathcal{E}_m}$ , where ${\mathcal{E}}$ and ${\mathcal{E}_m}$ are sufficiently small positive numbers. Moreover, these solutions ${u_\varepsilon \to 0}$ in ${H^1(\mathbb{R}^N)}$ as ${\varepsilon \to 0}$ .  相似文献

Let \(B\) be an \(n\times n\) real expanding matrix and \(\mathcal {D}\) be a finite subset of \(\mathbb {R}^n\) with \(0\in \mathcal {D}\) . The self-affine set \(K=K(B,\mathcal {D})\) is the unique compact set satisfying the set-valued equation \(BK=\bigcup _{d\in \mathcal {D}}(K+d)\) . In the case where \(\#\mathcal D=|\det B|,\) we relate the Lebesgue measure of \(K(B,\mathcal {D})\) to the upper Beurling density of the associated measure \(\mu =\lim _{s\rightarrow \infty }\sum _{\ell _0, \ldots ,\ell _{s-1}\in \mathcal {D}}\delta _{\ell _0+B\ell _1+\cdots +B^{s-1}\ell _{s-1}}.\) If, on the other hand, \(\#\mathcal D<|\det B|\) and \(B\) is a similarity matrix, we relate the Hausdorff measure \(\mathcal {H}^s(K)\) , where \(s\) is the similarity dimension of \(K\) , to a corresponding notion of upper density for the measure \(\mu \) .  相似文献

It is conjectured that the set ${\mathcal {G}}$ of the primitive roots modulo p has no decomposition (modulo p) of the form ${\mathcal {G}= \mathcal {A} +\mathcal {B}}$ with ${|\mathcal {A}|\ge 2}$ , ${|\mathcal {B} |\ge 2}$ . This conjecture seems to be beyond reach but it is shown that if such a decomposition of ${\mathcal {G}}$ exists at all, then ${|\mathcal {A} |}$ , ${|\mathcal {B} |}$ must be around p 1/2, and then this result is applied to show that ${\mathcal {G}}$ has no decomposition of the form ${\mathcal {G} =\mathcal {A} + \mathcal {B} + \mathcal {C}}$ with ${|\mathcal {A} |\ge 2}$ , ${|\mathcal {B} |\ge 2}$ , ${|\mathcal {C} |\ge 2}$ .  相似文献

We study limit behavior for sums of the form $\frac{1}{|\Lambda_{L|}}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_{L}}u(t,x),$ where the field $\Lambda_L=\left\{x\in {\bf{Z^d}}:|x|\le L\right\}$ is composed of solutions of the parabolic Anderson equation $$u(t,x) = 1 + \kappa \mathop{\int}_{0}^{t} \Delta u(s,x){\rm d}s + \mathop{\int}_{0}^{t}u(s,x)\partial B_{x}(s). $$ The index set is a box in Z d , namely $\Lambda_{L} = \left\{x\in {\bf Z}^{\bf d} : |x| \leq L\right\}$ and L = L(t) is a nondecreasing function $L : [0,\infty)\rightarrow {\bf R}^{+}. $ We identify two critical parameters $\eta(1) < \eta(2)$ such that for $\gamma > \eta(1)$ and L(t) = eγ t , the sums $\frac{1}{|\Lambda_L|}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)$ satisfy a law of large numbers, or put another way, they exhibit annealed behavior. For $\gamma > \eta(2)$ and L(t) = eγ t , one has $\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)$ when properly normalized and centered satisfies a central limit theorem. For subexponential scales, that is when $\lim_{t \rightarrow \infty} \frac{1}{t}\ln L(t) = 0,$ quenched asymptotics occur. That means $\lim_{t\rightarrow \infty}\frac{1}{t}\ln\left (\frac{1}{|\Lambda_L|}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)\right) = \gamma(\kappa),$ where $\gamma(\kappa)$ is the almost sure Lyapunov exponent, i.e. $\lim_{t\rightarrow \infty}\frac{1}{t}\ln u(t,x)= \gamma(\kappa).$ We also examine the behavior of $\frac{1}{|\Lambda_L|}\sum_{x\in \Lambda_L}u(t,x)$ for L = e γ t with γ in the transition range $(0,\eta(1))$   相似文献
