Treatment of N,N′‐bis(aryl)formamidines (ArFormH), N,N′‐bis(2,6‐difluorophenyl)formamidine (DFFormH) or N,N′‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)formamidine (DippFormH), with europium metal in CH3CN is an efficient synthesis of the divalent complexes: [{Eu(DFForm)2(CH3CN)2}2] ( Eu1 ) or [Eu(DippForm)2(CH3CN)4] ( Eu2 ). The synthetic method was extended to ytterbium, but the metal required activation by addition of Hg0. With DFFormH in CH3CN, [{Yb(DFForm)2(CH3CN)}2] ( Yb1 ) was obtained in good yield, and [Yb(DFForm)2(thf)3] ( Yb3 ) was obtained from a synthesis in CH3CN/THF. Thus, this synthetic method completely circumvents the use of either salt metathesis, or redox transmetallation/protolysis (RTP) protocols to prepare divalent rare‐earth formamidinates. Heating Yb1 in PhMe/C6D6 resulted in decomposition to trivalent products, including one from a CH3CN activation process. For a synthetic comparison, divalent ytterbium DFForm and DippForm complexes were synthesised by RTP reactions between Yb0, Hg(R)2 (R=Ph, C6F5), and ArFormH in THF, leading to the isolation of either [Yb(DFForm)2(thf)3] ( Yb3 ), or the first five coordinate rare‐earth formamidinate complex [Yb(DippForm)2(thf)] ( Yb4 b ), and, from adjustment of the stoichiometry, trivalent [Yb(DFForm)3(thf)] ( Yb6 ). Oxidation of Yb3 with benzophenone (bp), or halogenating agents (TiCl4(thf)2, Ph3CCl, C2Cl6) gave [Yb(DFForm)3(bp)] or [Yb(DFForm)2Cl(thf)2], respectively. Furthermore, the structural chemistry of divalent ArForm complexes has been substantially broadened. Not only have the highest and lowest coordination numbers for divalent rare‐earth ArForm complexes been achieved in Eu2 and Yb4 b , respectively, but also dimeric Eu1 and Yb1 have highly unusual ArForm bridging coordination modes, either perpendicular μ‐1κ(N:N′):2κ(N:N′) in Eu1 , or the twisted μ‐1κ(N:N′):2κ(N′:F′) DFForm coordination in Yb1 , both unprecedented in divalent rare‐earth ArForm chemistry and in the wider divalent rare‐earth amidinate field.  相似文献

We report the synthesis of Ln3+ nitrate [Ln(Tpm)(NO3)3] ⋅ MeCN (Ln=Yb ( 1Yb ), Eu ( 1Eu )) and chloride [Yb(Tpm)Cl3] ⋅ 2MeCN ( 2Yb ), [Eu(Tpm)Cl2(μ-Cl)]2 ( 2Eu ) complexes coordinated by neutral tripodal tris(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)methane (Tpm). The crystal structures of 1Ln and 2Ln were established by single crystal X-ray diffraction, while for 1Yb high resolution experiment was performed. Nitrate complexes 1Ln are isomorphous and both adopt mononuclear structure. Chloride 2Yb is monomeric, while Eu3+ analogue 2Eu adopts a binuclear structure due to two μ2-bridging chloride ligands. The typical lanthanide luminescence was observed for europium complexes ( 1Eu and 2Eu ) as well as for terbium and dysprosium analogues ([Ln(Tpm)(NO3)3] ⋅ MeCN, Ln=Tb ( 1Tb ), Dy ( 1Dy ); [Ln(Tpm)Cl3] ⋅ 2MeCN, Ln=Tb ( 2Tb ), Dy ( 2Dy )).  相似文献

New reactive, divalent lanthanoid formamidinates [Yb(Form)2(thf)2] (Form=[RNCHNR]; R=o‐MeC6H4 (o‐TolForm; 1 ), 2,6‐Me2C6H3 (XylForm; 2 ), 2,4,6‐Me3C6H2 (MesForm; 3 ), 2,6‐Et2C6H3 (EtForm; 4 ), o‐PhC6H4 (o‐PhPhForm; 5 ), 2,6‐iPr2C6H3 (DippForm; 6 ), o‐HC6F4 (TFForm; 7 )) and [Eu(DippForm)2(thf)2] ( 8 ) have been prepared by redox transmetallation/protolysis reactions between an excess of a lanthanoid metal, Hg(C6F5)2 and the corresponding formamidine (HForm). X‐ray crystal structures of 2 – 6 and 8 show them to be monomeric with six‐coordinate lanthanoid atoms, chelating N,N′‐Form ligands and cis‐thf donors. However, [Yb(TFForm)2(thf)2] ( 7 ) crystallizes from THF as [Yb(TFForm)2(thf)3] ( 7 a ), in which ytterbium is seven coordinate and the thf ligands are “pseudo‐meridional”. Representative complexes undergo C? X (X=F, Cl, Br) activation reactions with perfluorodecalin, hexachloroethane or 1,2‐dichloroethane, and 1‐bromo‐2,3,4,5‐tetrafluorobenzene, giving [Yb(EtForm)2F]2 ( 9) , [Yb(o‐PhPhForm)2F]2 ( 10) , [Yb(o‐PhPhForm)2Cl(thf)2] ( 11) , [Yb(DippForm)2Cl(thf)] ( 12) and [Yb(DippForm)2Br(thf)] ( 16) . X‐ray crystallography has shown 9 to be a six‐coordinate, fluoride‐bridged dimer, 12 and 16 to be six‐coordinate monomers with the halide and thf ligands cis to each other, and 11 to have a seven‐coordinate Yb atom with “pseudo‐meridional” unidentate ligands and thf donors cis to each other. The analogous terbium compound [Tb(DippForm)2Cl(thf)2] ( 13 ), prepared by metathesis, has a similar structure to 11 . C? Br activation also accompanies the redox transmetallation/protolysis reactions between La, Nd or Yb metals, Hg(2‐BrC6F4)2, and HDippForm, yielding [Ln(DippForm)2Br(thf)] complexes (Ln=La ( 14 ), Nd ( 15 ), Yb ( 16 )).  相似文献

The preparation and characterization of a series of complexes of the Yb and Eu cations in the oxidation state II and III with the tetradentate N,O‐donor tripodal ligands (tris(2‐pyridylmethyl)amine (TPA), BPA? (HBPA=bis(2‐pyridylmethyl)(2‐hydroxybenzyl)amine), BPPA? (HBPPA=bis(2‐pyridylmethyl)(3.5‐di‐tert‐butyl‐2‐hydroxybenzyl)amine), and MPA2? (H2MPA=(2‐pyridylmethyl)bis(3.5‐di‐tert‐butyl‐2‐hydroxybenzyl)amine) is reported. The X‐ray crystal structures of the heteroleptic Ln2+ complexes [Ln(TPA)I2] (Ln=Eu, Yb) and [Yb(BPA)I(CH3CN)]2, of the Ln2+ homoleptic [Ln(TPA)2]I2 (Ln=Sm, Eu, Yb) and [Eu(BPA)2] complexes, and of the Ln3+ [Eu(BPPA)2]OTf and [Yb(MPA)2K(dme)2] (dme=dimethoxyethane) complexes have been determined. Cyclic voltammetry studies carried out on the bis‐ligand complexes of Eu3+ and Yb3+ show that the metal center reduction occurs at significantly lower potentials for the BPA? ligand as compared with the TPA ligand. This suggests that the more electron‐rich character of the BPA? ligand results in a higher reducing character of the lanthanide complexes of BPA? compared with those of TPA. The important differences in the stability and reactivity of the investigated complexes are probably due to the observed difference in redox potential. Preliminary reactivity studies show that whereas the bis‐TPA complexes of Eu2+ and Yb2+ do not show any reactivity with heteroallenes, the [Eu(BPA)2] complex reduces CS2 to afford the first example of a lanthanide trithiocarbonate complex.  相似文献

Amido Ligands for the Synthesis of Polynuclear Lanthanoid Complexes By 1 : 1 reaction of LnBr3 with NaNHPh in THF the Rare-Earth Complexes [Ln2Br42-NHPh)2(thf)5] (Ln = Sm ( 1 ), Ln = Gd ( 2 )) with two bridging anilido ligands are obtained. In the system LnBr3/NaNHPh/(Me2SiO)3 the tetranuclear compounds [Ln44-O)(NHPh)3(OSiMe2NPh)6Na5(thf)7] · THF (Ln = Gd ( 3 ), Ln = Yb ( 4 )) can be built up. They have a central μ4-oxygene atom in the Ln4-tetrahedron. It has an oxa-dimethylsilyl-N-phenylamido ligand over all edges and an anilido ligand on three vertexes. By this reaction small amount of [Na4(thf)6Yb2(OSiMe2NPhSiMe2O)2(OSiMe2NPh)2(NHPh)2] ( 5 ) with a O- and N-bridged Yb–Na polyhedron and N-phenyl-bis(dimethylsilanolato)-ligands coordinating μ22 with its oxygen atoms are obtained. Reaction of Lanthanideshalides with LiNHtBu leads to dimeric complexes. The formation of bridging oxasilylamido ligands is also observed. The compound [Li2Ln(OSiMe2NtBu)2(HNtBu)(thf)]2 (Ln=Sm ( 6 ), Gd ( 7 ) and Yb ( 8 )) contains now an O- and N-bridged Ln–Li polyhedron. (Crystal Data of 1–8 see ‘‘Inhaltsverzeichnis”︁”︁).  相似文献

The preparation and characterization of a series of neutral rare‐earth metal complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)(η3‐C3H5)2] (Ln=Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm) supported by the 1,4,7‐trimethyl‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane anion (Me3TACD?) are reported. Upon treatment of the neutral allyl complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)(η3‐C3H5)2] with Brønsted acids, monocationic allyl complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)(η3‐C3H5)(thf)2][B(C6X5)4] (Ln=La, Ce, Nd, X=H, F) were isolated and characterized. Hydrogenolysis gave the hydride complexes [Ln(Me3TACD)H2]n (Ln=Y, n=3; La, n=4; Sm). X‐ray crystallography showed the lanthanum hydride to be tetranuclear. Reactivity studies of [Ln(Me3TACD)R2]n (R=η3‐C3H5, n=0; R=H, n=3,4) towards furan derivatives includes hydrosilylation and deoxygenation under ring‐opening conditions.  相似文献

The first 4d/4f polyphosphides were obtained by reaction of the divalent metallocenes [Cp*2Ln(thf)2] (Ln = Sm, Yb) with [{CpMo(CO)2}2(μ,η2:2-P2)] or [Cp*Mo(CO)23-P3)]. Treatment of [Cp*2Ln(thf)2] (Ln = Sm, Yb) with [{CpMo(CO)2}2(μ,η2:2-P2)] gave the 16-membered bicyclic compounds [(Cp2*Ln)2P2(CpMo(CO)2)4] (Ln = Sm, Yb) as the major products. From the reaction involving samarocene, the cyclic P4 complex [(Cp*2Sm)2P4(CpMo(CO)2)2] and the cyclic P5 complex [(Cp*2Sm)3P5(CpMo(CO)2)3] were also obtained as minor products. In each reaction, the P2 unit is reduced and a rearrangement occurred. In dedicated cases, a P–P bond formation takes place, which results in a new aggregation of the central phosphorus scaffold. In the reactions of [Cp*2Ln(thf)2] (Ln = Sm, Yb) with [Cp*Mo(CO)2P3] a new P–P bond is formed by reductive dimerization and the 4d/4f hexaphosphides [(Cp*2Ln)2P6(Cp*Mo(CO)2)2] (Ln = Sm, Yb) were obtained.  相似文献

Monocationic bis‐allyl complexes [Ln(η3‐C3H5)2(thf)3]+[B(C6X5)4]? (Ln=Y, La, Nd; X=H, F) and dicationic mono‐allyl complexes of yttrium and the early lanthanides [Ln(η3‐C3H5)(thf)6]2+[BPh4]2? (Ln=La, Nd) were prepared by protonolysis of the tris‐allyl complexes [Ln(η3‐C3H5)3(diox)] (Ln=Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm; diox=1,4‐dioxane) isolated as a 1,4‐dioxane‐bridged dimer (Ln=Ce) or THF adducts [Ln(η3‐C3H5)3(thf)2] (Ln=Ce, Pr). Allyl abstraction from the neutral tris‐allyl complex by a Lewis acid, ER3 (Al(CH2SiMe3)3, BPh3) gave the ion pair [Ln(η3‐C3H5)2(thf)3]+[ER31‐CH2CH?CH2)]? (Ln=Y, La; ER3=Al(CH2SiMe3)3, BPh3). Benzophenone inserts into the La? Callyl bond of [La(η3‐C3H5)2(thf)3]+[BPh4]? to form the alkoxy complex [La{OCPh2(CH2CH?CH2)}2(thf)3]+[BPh4]?. The monocationic half‐sandwich complexes [Ln(η5‐C5Me4SiMe3)(η3‐C3H5)(thf)2]+[B(C6X5)4]? (Ln=Y, La; X=H, F) were synthesized from the neutral precursors [Ln(η5‐C5Me4SiMe3)(η3‐C3H5)2(thf)] by protonolysis. For 1,3‐butadiene polymerization catalysis, the yttrium‐based systems were more active than the corresponding lanthanum or neodymium homologues, giving polybutadiene with approximately 90 % 1,4‐cis stereoselectivity.  相似文献

The superbulky deca‐aryleuropocene [Eu(CpBIG)2], CpBIG=(4‐nBu‐C6H4)5‐cyclopentadienyl, was prepared by reaction of [Eu(dmat)2(thf)2], DMAT=2‐Me2N‐α‐Me3Si‐benzyl, with two equivalents of CpBIGH. Recrystallizyation from cold hexane gave the product with a surprisingly bright and efficient orange emission (45 % quantum yield). The crystal structure is isomorphic to those of [M(CpBIG)2] (M=Sm, Yb, Ca, Ba) and shows the typical distortions that arise from CpBIG???CpBIG attraction as well as excessively large displacement parameter for the heavy Eu atom (Ueq=0.075). In order to gain information on the true oxidation state of the central metal in superbulky metallocenes [M(CpBIG)2] (M=Sm, Eu, Yb), several physical analyses have been applied. Temperature‐dependent magnetic susceptibility data of [Yb(CpBIG)2] show diamagnetism, indicating stable divalent ytterbium. Temperature‐dependent 151Eu Mössbauer effect spectroscopic examination of [Eu(CpBIG)2] was examined over the temperature range 93–215 K and the hyperfine and dynamical properties of the EuII species are discussed in detail. The mean square amplitude of vibration of the Eu atom as a function of temperature was determined and compared to the value extracted from the single‐crystal X‐ray data at 203 K. The large difference in these two values was ascribed to the presence of static disorder and/or the presence of low‐frequency torsional and librational modes in [Eu(CpBIG)2]. X‐ray absorbance near edge spectroscopy (XANES) showed that all three [Ln(CpBIG)2] (Ln=Sm, Eu, Yb) compounds are divalent. The XANES white‐line spectra are at 8.3, 7.3, and 7.8 eV, for Sm, Eu, and Yb, respectively, lower than the Ln2O3 standards. No XANES temperature dependence was found from room temperature to 100 K. XANES also showed that the [Ln(CpBIG)2] complexes had less trivalent impurity than a [EuI2(thf)x] standard. The complex [Eu(CpBIG)2] shows already at room temperature strong orange photoluminescence (quantum yield: 45 %): excitation at 412 nm (24270 cm?1) gives a symmetrical single band in the emission spectrum at 606 nm (νmax=16495 cm?1, FWHM: 2090 cm?1, Stokes‐shift: 2140 cm?1), which is assigned to a 4f65d1→4f7 transition of EuII. These remarkable values compare well to those for EuII‐doped ionic host lattices and are likely caused by the rigidity of the [Eu(CpBIG)2] complex. Sharp emission signals, typical for EuIII, are not visible.  相似文献

Redox transmetallation ligand exchange reactions involving a rare earth metal, 2,4,6‐trimethylphenol (HOmes), and a diarylmercurial afford rare earth aryloxo complexes, which are structurally characterized. Both the lanthanoid contraction and the identity of the reaction solvent are found to influence the outcome of the reactions. Using THF in the reaction affords a dinuclear species [Ln2(Omes)6(thf)4]?2THF (Ln=La 1 , Nd 2 ) for the lighter rare earth metals, while a mononuclear species [Ln(Omes)3(thf)3] (Ln=Sm 3 , Tb 5 , Er 6 , Yb 7 , Y 8 ) is obtained for the heavier rare earth elements. Surprisingly, there is no change in metal coordination number between the two structural motifs. A divalent trinuclear linear complex [Eu3(Omes)6(thf)6] 4 is obtained for Eu, and features solely bridging aryloxide ligands. Using DME as the reaction solvent affords [La(Omes)3(dme)2] 9 from the reaction mixture, and [Ln2(Omes)6(dme)2]?PhMe (La 10 , Nd 11 ) and [Y(Omes)3(dme)2] 14 following crystallization of the crude product from toluene. The dinuclear species [Eu2(Omes)4(dme)4] 12 contains two unidentate and two chelating DME ligands, and contrasts the linear structure of 4 . Treatment of HOmes and HgPh2 with Yb metal in DME affords the mixed valent YbII/III complex [Yb2(Omes)5(dme)2] 13 , which is stabilized by an intramolecular π‐Ph–Yb interaction, and is a rare example of a mixed valent rare earth aryloxide. Treatment of Er metal with HOmes at elevated temperature (solvent free) affords the homoleptic [Er4(Omes)12] 15 , which consists of a tetranuclear array of Er atoms arranged in a ‘herringbone’ fashion; the structure is stabilized by intramolecular π‐Ph–Er interactions. Reaction of La metal with HOmes under similar conditions yields toluene insoluble “La(Omes)3”, which affords 1 following extraction with THF.  相似文献

Salt elimination protocols using Ap*K {Ap*H = (2,6‐diisopropyl‐phenyl)‐[6‐(2,4,6‐triisopropyl‐phenyl)‐pyridin‐2‐yl]‐amine} lead to the rare earth aminopyridinato complex [Ap*LuCl2(thf)2], 4 . Results of X‐ray crystal structure analyses of 4 and the corresponding single THF coordinated dimer are discussed. Ring‐opening polymerization of ε‐caprolactone initiated by complexes [Ap*LaBr2(thf)3], 2 , [Ap*YbI(thf)2]2, 3 or 4 in the presence of NaBH4 allows the preparation, in a short reaction time, of α,ω‐dihydroxytelechelic polymers with high molar mass ( up to 50,000) and moderate molar mass distributions (1.3 < / < 1.6). © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The reaction of potassium 2,5‐bis[N‐(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)iminomethyl]pyrrolyl [(dip2‐pyr)K] with the borohydrides of the larger rare‐earth metals, [Ln(BH4)3(thf)3] (Ln=La, Nd), afforded the expected products [Ln(BH4)2(dip2‐pyr)(thf)2]. As usual, the trisborohydrides reacted like pseudohalide compounds forming KBH4 as a by‐product. To compare the reactivity with the analogous halides, the dimeric neodymium complex [NdCl2(dip2‐pyr)(thf)]2 was prepared by reaction of [(dip2‐pyr)K] with anhydrous NdCl3. Reaction of [(dip2‐pyr)K] with the borohydrides of the smaller rare‐earth metals, [Sc(BH4)3(thf)2] and [Lu(BH4)3(thf)3], resulted in a redox reaction of the BH4? group with one of the Schiff base functions of the ligand. In the resulting products, [Ln(BH4){(dip)(dip‐BH3)‐pyr}(thf)2] (Ln=Sc, Lu), a dinegatively charged ligand with a new amido function, a Schiff base, and the pyrrolyl function is bound to the metal atom. The by‐product of the reaction of the BH4? anion with the Schiff base function (a BH3 molecule) is trapped in a unique reaction mode in the coordination sphere of the metal complex. The BH3 molecule coordinates in an η2 fashion to the metal atom. The rare‐earth‐metal atoms are surrounded by the η2‐coordinated BH3 molecule, the η3‐coordinated BH4? anion, two THF molecules, and the nitrogen atoms from the Schiff base and the pyrrolyl function. All new compounds were characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Low‐temperature X‐ray diffraction data at 6 K were collected to locate the hydrogen atoms of [Lu(BH4){(dip)(dip‐BH3)‐pyr}(thf)2]. The (DIP2‐pyr)? borohydride and chloride complexes of neodymium, [Nd(BH4)2(dip2‐pyr)(thf)2] and [NdCl2(dip2‐pyr)(thf)]2, were also used as Ziegler–Natta catalysts for the polymerization of 1,3‐butadiene to yield poly(cis‐1,4‐butadiene). Very high activities and good cis selectivities were observed by using each of these complexes as a catalyst in the presence of various cocatalyst mixtures.  相似文献

The treatment of the recently reported potassium salt (S)‐N,N′‐bis‐(1‐phenylethyl)benzamidinate ((S)‐KPEBA) and its racemic isomer (rac‐KPEBA) with anhydrous lanthanide trichlorides (Ln=Sm, Er, Yb, Lu) afforded mostly chiral complexes. The tris(amidinate) complex [{(S)‐PEBA}3Sm], bis(amidinate) complexes [{Ln(PEBA)2(μ‐Cl)}2] (Ln=Sm, Er, Yb, Lu), and mono(amidinate) compounds [Ln(PEBA)(Cl)2(thf)n] (Ln=Sm, Yb, Lu) were isolated and structurally characterized. As a result of steric effects, the homoleptic 3:1 complexes of the smaller lanthanide atoms Yb and Lu were not accessible. Furthermore, chiral bis(amidinate)–amido complexes [{(S)‐PEBA}2Ln{N(SiMe3)2}] (Ln=Y, Lu) were synthesized by an amine‐elimination reaction and salt metathesis. All of these chiral bis‐ and tris(amidinate) complexes had additional axial chirality and they all crystallized as diastereomerically pure compounds. By using rac‐PEBA as a ligand, an achiral meso arrangement of the ligands was observed. The catalytic activities and enantioselectivities of [{(S)‐PEBA}2Ln{N(SiMe3)2}] (Ln=Y, Lu) were investigated in hydroamination/cyclization reactions. A clear dependence of the rate of reaction and enantioselectivity on the ionic radius was observed, which showed higher reaction rates but poorer enantioselectivities for the yttrium compound.  相似文献

On the Reactivity of Titanocene Complexes [Ti(Cp′)22‐Me3SiC≡CSiMe3)] (Cp′ = Cp, Cp*) towards Benzenedicarboxylic Acids Titanocene complexes [Ti(Cp′)2(BTMSA)] ( 1a , Cp′ = Cp = η5‐C5H5; 1b , Cp′ = Cp* = η5‐C5Me5; BTMSA = Me3SiC≡CSiMe3) were found to react with iodine and methyl iodide yielding [Ti(Cp′)2(μ‐I)2] ( 2a / b ; a refers to Cp′ = Cp and b to Cp′ = Cp*), [Ti(Cp′)2I2] ( 3a / b ) and [Ti(Cp′)2(Me)I] ( 4a / b ), respectively. In contrast to 2a , complex 2b proved to be highly moisture sensitive yielding with cleavage of HCp* [{Ti(Cp*)I}2(μ‐O)] ( 7 ). The corresponding reactions of 1a / b with p‐cresol and thiophenol resulted in the formation of [Ti(Cp′)2{O(p‐Tol)}2] ( 5a / b ) and [Ti(Cp′)2(SPh)2] ( 6a / b ), respectively. Reactions of 1a and 1b with 1,n‐benzenedicarboxylic acids (n = 2–4) resulted in the formation of dinuclear titanium(III) complexes of the type [{Ti(Cp′)2}2{μ‐1,n‐(O2C)2C6H4}] (n = 2, 8a / b ; n = 3, 9a / b ; n = 4, 10a / b ). All complexes were fully characterized analytically and spectroscopically. Furthermore, complexes 7 , 8b , 9a ·THF, 10a / b were also be characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses.  相似文献

Treatment of Ln(NO3)3?nH2O with 1 or 2 equiv 2,2′‐bipyrimidine (BPM) in dry THF readily afforded the monometallic complexes [Ln(NO3)3(bpm)2] (Ln=Eu, Gd, Dy, Tm) or [Ln(NO3)3(bpm)2]?THF (Ln=Eu, Tb, Er, Yb) after recrystallization from MeOH or THF, respectively. Reactions with nitrate salts of the larger lanthanide ions (Ln=Ce, Nd, Sm) yielded one of two distinct monometallic complexes, depending on the recrystallization solvent: [Ln(NO3)3(bpm)2]?THF (Ln=Nd, Sm) from THF, or [Ln(NO3)3(bpm)(MeOH)2]?MeOH (Ln=Ce, Nd, Sm) from MeOH. Treatment of UO2(NO3)2?6H2O with 1 equiv BPM in THF afforded the monoadduct [UO2(NO3)2(bpm)] after recrystallization from MeOH. The complexes were characterized by their crystal structure. Solid‐state luminescence measurements on these monometallic complexes showed that BPM is an efficient sensitizer of the luminescence of both the lanthanide and the uranyl ions emitting visible light, as well as of the YbIII ion emitting in the near‐IR. For Tb, Dy, Eu, and Yb complexes, energy transfer was quite efficient, resulting in quantum yields of 80.0, 5.1, 70.0, and 0.8 %, respectively. All these complexes in the solid state were stable in air.  相似文献

The tris(2,4‐dimethylpentadienyl) complexes [Ln(η5‐Me2C5H5)3] (Ln = Nd, La, Y) are obtained analytically pure by reaction of the tribromides LnBr3·nTHF with the potassium compound K(Me2C5H5)(thf)n in THF in good yields. The structural characterization is carried out by X‐ray crystal structure analysis and NMR‐spectroscopically. The tris complexes can be transformed into the dimeric bis(2,4‐dimethylpentadienyl) complexes [Ln2(η5‐Me2C5H5)4X2] (Ln, X: Nd, Cl, Br, I; La, Br, I; Y, Br) by reaction with the trihalides THF solvates in the molar ratio 2:1 in toluene. Structure and bonding conditions are determined for selected compounds by X‐ray crystal structure analysis and NMR‐spectroscopically in general. The dimer‐monomer equilibrium existing in solution was investigated NMR‐spectroscopically in dependence of the donor strength of the solvent and could be established also by preparation of the corresponding monomer neutral ligand complexes [Ln(η5‐Me2C5H5)2X(L)] (Ln, X, L: Nd, Br, py; La, Cl, thf; Br, py; Y, Br, thf). Finally the possibilities for preparation of mono(2,4‐dimethylpentadienyl)lanthanoid(III)‐dibromid complexes are shown and the hexameric structure of the lanthanum complex [La6(η5‐Me2C5H5)6Br12(thf)4] is proved by X‐ray crystal structure analysis.  相似文献

Reaction of [CpnMCl4?x] (M=V: n=x=2; M=Nb: n=1, x=0) or [Cp*TaCl4] (Cp=η5‐C5H5, Cp*=η5‐C5Me5), with [LiBH4?thf] at ?70 °C followed by thermolysis at 85 °C in the presence of [BH3?thf] yielded the hydrogen‐rich metallaboranes [(CpM)2(B2H6)2] ( 1 : M=V; 2 : M = Nb) and [(Cp*Ta)2(B2H6)2] ( 3 ) in modest to high yields. Complexes 1 and 3 are the first structurally characterized compounds with a metal–metal bond bridged by two hexahydroborate (B2H6) groups forming a symmetrical complex. Addition of [BH3?thf] to 3 results in formation of a metallaborane [(Cp*Ta)2B4H8(μ‐BH4)] ( 4 ) containing a tetrahydroborate ligand, [BH4]?, bound exo to the bicapped tetrahedral cage [(Cp*Ta)2B4H8] by two Ta‐H‐B bridge bonds. The interesting structural feature of 4 is the coordination of the bridging tetrahydroborate group, which has two B? H bonds coordinated to the tantalum atoms. All these new metallaboranes have been characterized by mass, 1H, 11B, and 13C NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis and the structural types were established unequivocally by crystallographic analysis of 1 – 4 .  相似文献

Recrystallization of Ln(NO3)3 (Ln = Sm, Eu, Yb) in the presence of 18‐crown‐6 under aqueous conditions yielded [Ln(NO3)3(H2O)3] · 18‐crown‐6. X‐ray crystallography revealed isomorphous structures for each of the lanthanide complexes where [Ln(NO3)3(H2O)3] is involved in hydrogen bonding interactions with 18‐crown‐6. The transition point where the structural motif changes from [Ln(18‐crown‐6)(NO3)3] (with the metal residing in the crown cavity) to [Ln(NO3)3(H2O)3] · 18‐crown‐6 has been identified as at the Nd/Sm interface. A similar investigation involving [Ln(tos)3(H2O)6] (tos = p‐toluenesulfonate) and 18‐crown‐6 were resistant to crown incorporation. X‐ray studies show extensive intra‐ and intermolecular hydrogen bonding is present.  相似文献

A general procedure was developed for the synthesis of diarylcalcium complexes by addition of KOtBu to arylcalcium iodides in THF. Intermediate arylcalcium tert‐butanolate dismutates immediately leading to insoluble tert‐butanolate precipitates of calcium. Depending on the steric demand and denticity of additional neutral aliphatic azabases, mononuclear or dinuclear complexes trans‐[Ca(αNaph)2(thf)4] ( 1 ), [Ca(β‐Naph)2(thf)4] ( 2 ), [Ca(Tol)2(tmeda)]2 ( 3 ), [Ca(Ph)2(tmeda)]2 ( 4 ), [Ca(Ph)2(pmdta)(thf)] ( 5 ), [Ca(hmteta)(Ph)2] ( 6 ), and [Ca([18]C‐6)(Ph)2] ( 7 ) were isolated (Naph=naphthyl; meda=N,N,N′,N′‐tetramethylethylenediamine; pmdta= N,N,N′,N′′,N′′‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine; hmteta=N,N,N′,N′′,N′′′,N′′′‐hexamethyltriethylenetetramine). The Ca?C bond lengths vary between 250.8 and 263.5 pm, the ipso‐carbon atoms show low‐field‐shifted resonances in the 13C NMR spectra.  相似文献

Redox transmetallation/ligand exchange reactions of lanthanoid metals (Ln), Hg(C6F5)2 and HOAr(OMe) (Ar(OMe) = C6H2-2,6-Bu(t)-4-OMe), in thf (tetrahydrofuran) gave, for Ln = Yb, [Yb(OAr(OMe))2(thf)3], and for Ln = Sm, a mixture of [Sm(II)(OAr(OMe))2(thf)3] and mainly [Sm(III)(Ar(OMe))3(thf)] x thf. X-Ray structure determinations show the divalent complexes to have distorted square-pyramidal stereochemistry with transoid thf and OAr(OMe) ligands in the basal plane. Treatment of [Yb(OAr(OMe))2(thf)3] with diethyl ether or PhMe at room temperature gave [Yb(OAr(OMe))2] or [Yb(OAr(OMe))2] x 0.5 PhMe. For lanthanoids Ln = Nd, Er or Y, the reactions with Hg(C6F5)2 and HOAr(OMe) yielded complex product mixtures, from one of which the novel erbium aryloxide fluoride cage [Er3(OAr(OMe))4(mu2-F)3(mu3-F)2(thf)4] x thf x 0.5 C6H14 was isolated. The cage core consists of a triangle of Er atoms joined to two mu3-fluoride ligands and three further mu2-fluorides bridge adjacent Er atoms. One of the Er atoms is six-coordinate with additionally two OAr(OMe) ligands whilst the other two have one OAr(OMe) and two thf ligands and are seven coordinate. Substitution of Hg(C6F5)2 by Hg(CCPh)2 in the redox transmetallation/ligand exchange reactions gave the new derivatives [Ln(OAr(OMe))3(thf)] x thf (Ln = La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Ho) in good yields whilst Ln = Yb gave [Yb(OAr(OMe))2(thf)3]. Recrystallisation of [Sm(OAr(OMe))3(thf)] x thf from dme (1,2-dimethoxyethane) yielded [Sm(OAr(OMe))3(dme)]. Structural characterisation of [Ln(OAr(OMe))3(thf)] x thf (Ln = Nd, Ho) and [Sm(OAr(OMe))3(dme)] showed monomeric four-coordinate distorted tetrahedral and five-coordinate distorted square-pyramidal complexes respectively. For the smaller lanthanoids Ln = Y, Er or Lu, reactions with Hg(CCPh)2 and HOAr(OMe) gave the mixed aryloxide/alkynide complexes [Ln(OAr(OMe))2(CCPh)(thf)2]. Oxidation of the divalent ytterbium aryloxide [Yb(OAr(OMe))2(thf)3] by Hg(CCPh)2 in thf gave the analogous [Yb(OAr(OMe))2(CCPh)(thf)2]. The erbium alkynide [Er(OAr(OMe))2(CCPh)(thf)2] x 0.25 C6H14 has distorted square-pyramidal stereochemistry with transoid OAr(OMe) and thf ligands in the basal plane and a rare (for Ln) terminal alkynide ligand in the apical position. The reactive Lu-C bond in the [Lu(OAr(OMe))2(CCPh)(thf)2] complexes could be slowly cleaved by free HOAr(OMe) in hydrocarbon solvents, yielding Lu(OAr(OMe))3 species and fortuitous partial hydrolysis of [Er(Ar(OMe))2(CCPh)(thf)2] gave the dimeric [Er(OAr(OMe))2(mu-OH)2]2.  相似文献
