We first show the existence of the multivortex solutions of Maxwell-Chern-Simons-Higgs (MCSH) model on bounded domains and prove that the solutions of the Euler-Lagrange equations of the MCSH energy functional converge to those of the Abelian-Higgs (AH) model and the Chern-Simons-Higgs (CSH) model in suitable limits, respectively. We also show the existence of the multivortex solutions of the nonself-dual CSH model on bounded domains. Besides, we study asymptotics for the minimizers of MCSH energy functional when the gauge field vanishes.  相似文献

We study the Ginzburg-Landau equation with magnetic effect in a thin domain in , where the thickness of the domain is controlled by a parameter . This equation is an Euler equation of a free energy functional and it has trivial solutions that are minimizers of the functional. In this article we look for a nontrivial stable solution to the equation, that is, a local minimizer of the energy functional. To prove the existence of such a stable solution in , we consider a reduced problem as and a nondegenerate stable solution to the reduced equation. Applying the standard variational argument, we show that there exists a stable solution in near the solution to the reduced equation if is sufficiently small. We also present a specific example of a domain which allows a stable vortex solution, that is, a stable solution with zeros. In the paper, a planar relativistic self-dual Chern–Simons model, with two Higgs particles and two gauge fields is considered. The main purpose is to locate all the possible values of the magnetic fluxes for the radially symmetric non-topological solitons. As has been known, the non-topological fluxes are not quantized. We further show that the value set of the non-topological fluxes exactly form a planar continuum portrayed by a certain hyperbolic region.  相似文献

This work investigates the spherical symmetric solutions of more realistic equation of states. We generalize the method of Hsu et al. (Methods Appl. We prove exact controllability for Maxwell's system with variable coefficients in a bounded domain by a current flux in the boundary. The proof relies on a duality argument which reduces the proof of exact controllability to the proof of continuous observability for the homogeneous adjoint system. This paper discusses the Klein-Gordon-Zakharov system with different-degree nonlinearities in two and three space dimensions. Firstly, we prove the existence of standing wave with ground state by applying an intricate variational argument. Next, by introducing an auxiliary functional and an equivalent minimization problem, we obtain two invariant manifolds under the solution flow generated by the Cauchy problem to the aforementioned Klein-Gordon-Zakharov system. Furthermore, by constructing a type of constrained variational problem, utilizing the above two invariant manifolds as well as applying potential well argument and concavity method, we derive a sharp threshold for global existence and blowup. Then, combining the above results, we obtain two conclusions of how small the initial data are for the solution to exist globally by using dilation transformation. Finally, we prove a modified instability of standing wave to the system under study.  相似文献

The relativistic Landau-Maxwell system is one of the most fundamental and complete models for describing the dynamics of a dilute hot plasma in which particles interact through Coulomb collisions and their self-consistent electromagnetic field. In this work, we prove that the classical solutions obtained by Strain and Guo become immediately smooth with respect to all variable under the extra assumption of the electromagnetic field. As a by-product, we also prove that the classical solutions to the relativistic Landau-Poisson system and the relativistic Landau equation have the same property without any extra assumption.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a damped wave equation with a dynamic boundary control. First, combining a general criteria of Arendt and Batty with Holmgren's theorem we show the strong stability of our system. Next, we show that our system is not uniformly stable in general, since it is the case for the unit disk. Hence, we look for a polynomial decay rate for smooth initial data for our system by applying a frequency domain approach. In a first step, by giving some sufficient conditions on the boundary of our domain and by using the exponential decay of the wave equation with a standard damping, we prove a polynomial decay in of the energy. In a second step, under appropriated conditions on the boundary, called the multiplier control conditions, we establish a polynomial decay in of the energy. Later, we show in a particular case that such a polynomial decay is available even if the previous conditions are not satisfied. For this aim, we consider our system on the unit square of the plane. Using a method based on a Fourier analysis and a specific analysis of the obtained 1‐d problems combining Ingham's inequality and an interpolation method, we establish a polynomial decay in of the energy for sufficiently smooth initial data. Finally, in the case of the unit disk, using the real part of the asymptotic expansion of eigenvalues of the damped system, we prove that the obtained decay is optimal in the domain of the operator.  相似文献

We are concerned with global entropy solutions to the relativistic Euler equations for a class of large initial data which involve the interaction of shock waves and rarefaction waves. We first carefully analyze the global behavior of the shock curves, the rarefaction wave curves, and their corresponding inverse curves in the phase plane. Based on these analyses, we use the Glimm scheme to construct global entropy solutions to the relativistic Euler equations for the class of large discontinuous initial data.Received: May 23, 2004  相似文献

This paper deals with systems , , where the right hand side is a -valued, real analytic function. We prove that a solution of such a system can be continued across a straight line segment , if one prescribe certain nonlinear, mixed boundary conditions on , which are assumed to be real analytic too. This continuation will be constructed by solving certain hyperbolic initial boundary value problems, generalizing an idea of H. Lewy. We apply this result to surfaces of prescribed mean curvature and to minimal surfaces in Riemannian manifolds spanned into a regular Jordan curve : Supposing analyticity of all data, we show that both types of surfaces can be continued across . Consider a class of Sobolev functions satisfying a prescribed degree condition on the boundary of a planar annular domain. It is shown that, within this class, the Ginzburg-Landau functional possesses the unique, radially symmetric minimizer, provided that the annulus is sufficiently narrow. This result is known to be false for wide annuli where vortices are energetically feasible. The estimate for the critical radius below which the uniqueness of the minimizer is guaranteed is obtained as well. This paper deals with a mathematical model describing the cell cycle dynamics and chemotactic driven cell movement in a multicellular tumor spheroid. Tumor cells consist of two types of cells: proliferating cells and quiescent cells, which have different chemotactic responses to an extracellular nutrient supply. The model is a free boundary problem for a nonlinear system of reaction-diffusion-advection equations, where the free boundary is the outer boundary of the spheroid. The free boundary condition is quite novel due to different velocity of two types of cells. The global existence and uniqueness of solutions to the model is proved. The proof is based on a fixed point argument, together with the Lp-theory for parabolic equations with the third boundary condition.  相似文献
