In this work, β‐Co(OH)2 nanosheets are explored as efficient pseudocapacitive materials for the fabrication of 1.6 V class high‐energy supercapacitors in asymmetric fashion. The as‐synthesized β‐Co(OH)2 nanosheets displayed an excellent electrochemical performance owing to their unique structure, morphology, and reversible reaction kinetics (fast faradic reaction) in both the three‐electrode and asymmetric configuration (with activated carbon, AC). For example, in the three‐electrode set‐up, β‐Co(OH)2 exhibits a high specific capacitance of ∼675 F g−1 at a scan rate of 1 mV s−1. In the asymmetric supercapacitor, the β‐Co(OH)2∥AC cell delivers a maximum energy density of 37.3 Wh kg−1 at a power density of 800 W kg−1. Even at harsh conditions (8 kW kg−1), an energy density of 15.64 Wh kg−1 is registered for the β‐Co(OH)2∥AC assembly. Such an impressive performance of β‐Co(OH)2 nanosheets in the asymmetric configuration reveals the emergence of pseudocapacitive electrodes towards the fabrication of high‐energy electrochemical charge storage systems.  相似文献

In the present study, we report the synthesis of a high‐quality, single‐crystal hexagonal β‐Co(OH)2 nanosheet, exhibiting a thickness down to ten atomic layers and an aspect ratio exceeding 900, by using graphene oxide (GO) as an exfoliant of β‐Co(OH)2 nanoflowers. Unlike conventional approaches using ionic precursors in which morphological control is realized by structure‐directing molecules, the β‐Co(OH)2 flower‐like superstructures were first grown by a nanoparticle‐mediated crystallization process, which results in large 3D superstructure consisting of ultrathin nanosheets interspaced by polydimethoxyaniline (PDMA). Thereafter, β‐Co(OH)2 nanoflowers were chemically exfoliated by surface‐active GO under hydrothermal conditions into unilamellar single‐crystal nanosheets. In this reaction, GO acts as a two‐dimensional (2D) amphiphile to facilitate the exfoliation process through tailored interactions between organic and inorganic molecules. Meanwhile, the on‐site conjugation of GO and Co(OH)2 promotes the thermodynamic stability of freestanding ultrathin nanosheets and restrains further growth through Oswald ripening. The unique 2D structure combined with functionalities of the hybrid ultrathin Co(OH)2 nanosheets on rGO resulted in a remarkably enhanced lithium‐ion storage performance as anode materials, maintaining a reversible capacity of 860 mA h g?1 for as many as 30 cycles. Since mesocrystals are ubiquitous and rich in morphological diversity, the strategy of the GO‐assisted exfoliation of mesocrystals developed here provides an opportunity for the synthesis of new functional nanostructures that could bear importance in clean renewable energy, catalysis, photoelectronics, and photonics.  相似文献

We report a supramolecular strategy to prepare conductive hydrogels with outstanding mechanical and electrochemical properties, which are utilized for flexible solid‐state supercapacitors (SCs) with high performance. The supramolecular assembly of polyaniline and polyvinyl alcohol through dynamic boronate bond yields the polyaniline–polyvinyl alcohol hydrogel (PPH), which shows remarkable tensile strength (5.3 MPa) and electrochemical capacitance (928 F g?1). The flexible solid‐state supercapacitor based on PPH provides a large capacitance (306 mF cm?2 and 153 F g?1) and a high energy density of 13.6 Wh kg?1, superior to other flexible supercapacitors. The robustness of the PPH‐based supercapacitor is demonstrated by the 100 % capacitance retention after 1000 mechanical folding cycles, and the 90 % capacitance retention after 1000 galvanostatic charge–discharge cycles. The high activity and robustness enable the PPH‐based supercapacitor as a promising power device for flexible electronics.  相似文献

For the first time, hierarchically porous carbon materials with a sandwich‐like structure are synthesized through a facile and efficient tri‐template approach. The hierarchically porous microstructures consist of abundant macropores and numerous micropores embedded into the crosslinked mesoporous walls. As a result, the obtained carbon material with a unique sandwich‐like structure has a relatively high specific surface (1235 m2 g?1), large pore volume (1.30 cm3 g?1), and appropriate pore size distribution. These merits lead to a comparably high specific capacitance of 274.8 F g?1 at 0.2 A g?1 and satisfying rate performance (87.7 % retention from 1 to 20 A g?1). More importantly, the symmetric supercapacitor with two identical as‐prepared carbon samples shows a superior energy density of 18.47 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 179.9 W kg?1. The asymmetric supercapacitor based on as‐obtained carbon sample and its composite with manganese dioxide (MnO2) can reach up to an energy density of 25.93 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 199.9 W kg?1. Therefore, these unique carbon material open a promising prospect for future development and utilization in the field of energy storage.  相似文献

A hierarchical hollow hybrid composite, namely, MnO2 nanosheets grown on nitrogen‐doped hollow carbon shells (NHCSs@MnO2), was synthesized by a facile in situ growth process followed by calcination. The composite has a high surface area (251 m2g?1) and mesopores (4.5 nm in diameter), which can efficiently facilitate transport during electrochemical cycling. Owing to the synergistic effect of NHCSs and MnO2, the composite shows a high specific capacitance of 306 F g?1, good rate capability, and an excellent cycling stability of 95.2 % after 5000 cycles at a high current density of 8 A g?1. More importantly, an asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) assembled by using NHCSs@MnO2 and activated carbon as the positive and negative electrodes exhibits high specific capacitance (105.5 F g?1 at 0.5 A g?1 and 78.5 F g?1 at 10 A g?1) with excellent rate capability, achieves a maximum energy density of 43.9 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 408 W kg?1, and has high stability, whereby the ASC retains 81.4 % of its initial capacitance at a current density of 5 A g?1 after 4000 cycles. Therefore, the NHCSs@MnO2 electrode material is a promising candidate for future energy‐storage systems.  相似文献

In this work, hybrid porous Co3O4–CeO2 hollow polyhedrons have been successfully obtained via a simple cation‐exchange route followed by heat treatment. In the synthesis process, ZIF‐67 polyhedron frameworks are firstly prepared, which not only serve as a host for the exchanged Ce3+ ions but also act as the template for the synthesis of hybrid porous Co3O4–CeO2 hollow polyhedrons. When utilized as electrode materials for supercapacitors, the hybrid porous Co3O4–CeO2 hollow polyhedrons delivered a large specific capacitance of 1288.3 F g?1 at 2.5 A g?1 and a remarkable long lifespan cycling stability (<3.3 % loss after 6000 cycles). Furthermore, an asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) device based on hybrid porous Co3O4–CeO2 hollow polyhedrons was assembled. The ASC device possesses an energy density of 54.9 W h kg?1, which can be retained to 44.2 W h kg?1 even at a power density of 5100 W kg?1, indicating its promising application in electrochemical energy storage. More importantly, we believe that the present route is a simple and versatile strategy for the preparation of other hybrid metal oxides with desired structures, chemical compositions and applications.  相似文献

This work reports the synthesis of novel poly(3′,4′‐bis(alkyloxy)terthiophene) derivatives (PTTOBu, PTTOHex, and PTTOOct) and their supercapacitor applications as redox‐active electrodes. The terthiophene‐based conducting polymers have been derivatized with different alkyl pendant groups (butyl‐, hexyl‐, and octyl‐) to explore the effect of alkyl chain length on the surface morphologies and pseudocapacitive properties. The electrochemical performance tests have revealed that the length of alkyl substituent created a remarkable impact over the surface morphologies and charge storage properties of polymer electrodes. PTTOBu, PTTOHex, and PTTOOct‐based electrodes have reached up to specific capacitances of 94.3, 227.3, and 443 F g−1 at 2.5 mA cm−2 constant current density, respectively, in a three‐electrode configuration. Besides, these redox‐active electrodes have delivered satisfactory energy densities of 13.5, 29.3, and 60.7 W h kg−1 and power densities of 0.98, 1, and 1.1 kW kg−1 with good capacitance retentions after 10,000 charge/discharge cycles in symmetric solid‐state micro‐supercapacitor devices. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We report a simple approach based on a chemical reduction method to synthesize aqueous inorganic ink comprised of hexagonal MnO2 nanosheets. The MnO2 ink exhibits long‐term stability and continuous thin films can be formed on various substrates without using any binder. To obtain a flexible electrode for capacitive energy storage, the MnO2 ink was printed onto commercially available A4 paper pretreated with multiwalled carbon nanotubes. The electrode exhibited a maximum specific capacitance of 1035 F g?1 (91.7 mF cm?2). Paper‐based symmetric and asymmetric capacitors were assembled, which gave a maximum specific energy density of 25.3 Wh kg?1 and a power density of 81 kW kg?1. The device could maintain a 98.9 % capacitance retention over 10 000 cycles at 4 A g?1. The MnO2 ink could be a versatile candidate for large‐scale production of flexible and printable electronic devices for energy storage and conversion.  相似文献

We have synthesized and characterized perovskite‐type SrCo0.9Nb0.1O3−δ (SCN) as a novel anion‐intercalated electrode material for supercapacitors in an aqueous KOH electrolyte, demonstrating a very high volumetric capacitance of about 2034.6 F cm−3 (and gravimetric capacitance of ca. 773.6 F g−1) at a current density of 0.5 A g−1 while maintaining excellent cycling stability with a capacity retention of 95.7 % after 3000 cycles. When coupled with an activated carbon (AC) electrode, the SCN/AC asymmetric supercapacitor delivered a specific energy density as high as 37.6 Wh kg−1 with robust long‐term stability.  相似文献

Hierarchical hollow structures for electrode materials of supercapacitors could enlarge the surface area, accelerate the transport of ions and electrons, and accommodate volume expansion during cycling. Besides, construction of heterostructures would enhance the internal electric fields to regulate the electronic structures. All these features of hierarchical hollow heterostructures are beneficial for promoting the electrochemical properties and stability of electrode materials for high‐performance supercapacitors. Herein, CoO/Co‐Cu‐S hierarchical tubular heterostructures (HTHSs) composed of nanoneedles are prepared by an efficient multi‐step approach. The optimized sample exhibits a high specific capacity of 320 mAh g?1 (2300 F g?1) at 2.0 A g?1 and outstanding cycling stability with 96.5 % of the initial capacity retained after 5000 cycles at 10 A g?1. Moreover, an all‐solid‐state hybrid supercapacitor (HSC) constructed with the CoO/Co‐Cu‐S and actived carbon shows a stable and high energy density of 90.7 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 800 W kg?1.  相似文献

The design of complex heterostructured electrode materials that deliver superior electrochemical performances to their individual counterparts has stimulated intensive research on configuring supercapacitors with high energy and power densities. Herein we fabricate hierarchical tectorum‐like α‐Fe2O3/polypyrrole (PPy) nanoarrays (T‐Fe2O3/PPy NAs). The 3D, and interconnected T‐Fe2O3/PPy NAs are successfully grown on conductive carbon cloth through an easy self‐sacrificing template and in situ vapor‐phase polymerization route under mild conditions. The electrode made of the T‐Fe2O3/PPy NAs exhibits a high areal capacitance of 382.4 mF cm−2 at a current density of 0.5 mA cm−2 and excellent reversibility. The solid‐state asymmetric supercapacitor consisting of T‐Fe2O3/PPy NAs and MnO2 electrodes achieves a high energy density of 0.22 mWh cm−3 at a power density of 165.6 mW cm−3.  相似文献

MnMoO4 nanotubes of diameter about 120 nm were successfully synthesized by a single-spinneret electrospinning technique followed by calcination in air, and their structural, morphological, and electrochemical properties were studied with the aim to fabricate high-performance supercapacitor devices. The obtained MnMoO4 nanotubes display a 1D architecture with a porous structure and hollow interiors. Benefiting from intriguing structural features, the unique MnMoO4 nanotube electrodes exhibit a high specific capacitance, excellent rate capability, and cycling stability. As an example, the tube-like MnMoO4 delivers a specific capacitance of 620 F g?1 at a current density of 1 A g?1, and 460 F g?1 even at a very high current density of 60 A g?1. Remarkably, almost no decay in specific capacitance is found after continuous charge/discharge cycling for 10,000 cycles at 1 A g?1. An asymmetric supercapacitor fabricated from this MnMoO4 nanotubes and activated carbon displayed a maximum high energy density of 31.7 Wh kg?1 and a power density of 797 W kg?1, demonstrating a good prospect for practical applications in energy storage electronics.  相似文献

Vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) based electrodes for energy storage devices have captured sizeable attention in the past decade owing to their attractive physiochemical features. In the present work, flaky structured V2O5 was prepared using a single step hydrothermal route. The results from analytical investigations hold up well with the formation scheme proposed. The flaky morphology of V2O5 facilitates additional pathways for electron transport and effective ion access. When employed as a supercapacitor electrode in a neutral electrolyte, this flaky V2O5 electrode demonstrates a specific capacitance of 472 F g?1. Besides, it retains maximum capacitance at higher current density confirming its good rate performance. An asymmetric type supercapacitor using flaky V2O5 as positive electrode and activated carbon as negative electrode exhibits specific capacitance of 69 F g?1. This device shows energy density of 10 W h kg?1 within the operational window of 1 V.

Nanostructured α‐Fe2O3 with and without fluorine substitution were successfully obtained by a green route, that is, microwave irradiation. The hematite phase materials were evaluated as a high‐performance electrode material in a hybrid supercapacitor configuration along with activated carbon (AC). The presence of fluorine was confirmed through X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy. Fluorine‐doped Fe2O3 (F‐Fe2O3) exhibits an enhanced pseudocapacitive performance compared to that of the bare hematite phase. The F‐Fe2O3/AC cell delivered a specific capacitance of 71 F g?1 at a current density of 2.25 A g?1 and retained approximately 90 % of its initial capacitance after 15 000 cycles. Furthermore, the F‐Fe2O3/AC cell showed a very high energy density of about 28 W h kg?1 compared to bare hematite phase (~9 W h kg?1). These data clearly reveal that the electrochemical performance of Fe2O3 can be improved by fluorine doping, thereby dramatically improving the energy density of the system.  相似文献

Highly dispersed Ni nanoparticles (NPs) and abundant functional N‐species were integrated into ultrathin carbon nanosheets by using a facile and economical sol–gel route. Embedded‐ and anchored‐type configurations were achieved for the dispersion of Ni NPs in/on N‐rich carbon nanosheets. The anchored‐type composite exhibited outstanding pseudocapacitance of 2200 F g?1 at 5 A g?1 with unusual rate capability and extraordinary cyclic stability over 20 000 cycles with little capacitance decay. Aqueous asymmetric supercapacitors fabricated with this composite cathode demonstrated a high energy density of 51.3 Wh kg?1 at a relatively large power density of 421.6 W kg?1, along with outstanding cyclic stability. This approach opens an attractive direction for enhancing the electrochemical performances of metal‐based supercapacitors and can be generalized to design high‐performance energy‐storage devices.  相似文献

A three‐dimensional (3D) hollow CoWO4 composite grown on Ni‐foam (3D?H CoWO4/NF) based on a flower‐like metal‐organic framework (MOF) is designed by utilizing a facile dipping and hydrothermal approach. The 3D?H CoWO4/NF not only possesses large specific areas and rich active sites, but also accommodates volume expansion/contraction during charge/discharge processes. In addition, the unique structure facilitates fast electron/ion transport of 3D?H CoWO4/NF. Meanwhile, a series of characterization measurements demonstrate the appropriate morphology and excellent electrochemical performance of the material. The 3D?H CoWO4/NF possesses a high specific capacitance of 1395 F g?1, an excellent cycle stability with 89% retention after 3000 cycles and superior rate property. Furthermore, the 3D?H CoWO4/NF can be used as a cathode to configurate an asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC), and 3D?H CoWO4/NF//AC shows a good energy density (29.0 W h kg?1). This work provides a facile method for the preparation of 3D‐hollow electrode materials with high electrochemical capability for advanced energy storage devices.  相似文献

Rechargeable molecular‐cluster batteries (MCBs) based on the manganese cluster complex [Mn12O12(CH3CH2C(CH3)2COO)16(H2O)4] ([Mn12]) that exhibited a capacity of approximately 200 A h kg?1 in the battery voltage range of 4.0 to 2.0 V were developed. In these batteries, the capacity of approximately 100 A h kg?1 in the range of 4.0–3.0 V is caused by a chemical reduction from [Mn12]0 to [Mn12]8?, whereas the other half in the range of 3.0–2.0 V cannot be explained by a redox change of the Mn ions. We performed the cyclic voltammetry (CV) and 7Li solid‐state NMR measurements on the Mn12‐MCBs to investigate the origin of the capacity below 3.0 V. Pseudo‐rectangular‐shaped CV curves in the range of 3.0–2.0 V demonstrate the presence of an electrical double‐layer (EDL) capacitance in Mn12‐MCBs, which corresponds to approximately 100 A h kg?1. 7Li NMR studies suggest that Li ions form an EDL with electrons in carbon black electrodes in the capacitance voltage range. The capacitance effects are not formed by the single‐carbon electrodes alone, but appear only in the mixture of Mn12 and the carbon black electrodes. This type of coexistence of capacitance effects and redox reaction in one electrochemical cell is quite unusual and can serve as a new working principle for high‐performance energy‐storage devices.  相似文献

A simple hydrothermal method has been developed to prepare hexagonal tablet precursors, which are then transformed into porous sodium‐doped Ni2P2O7 hexagonal tablets by a simple calcination method. The obtained samples were evaluated as electrode materials for supercapacitors. Electrochemical measurements show that the electrode based on the porous sodium‐doped Ni2P2O7 hexagonal tablets exhibits a specific capacitance of 557.7 F g?1 at a current density of 1.2 A g?1. Furthermore, the porous sodium‐doped Ni2P2O7 hexagonal tablets were successfully used to construct flexible solid‐state hybrid supercapacitors. The device is highly flexible and achieves a maximum energy density of 23.4 Wh kg?1 and a good cycling stability after 5000 cycles, which confirms that the porous sodium‐doped Ni2P2O7 hexagonal tablets are promising active materials for flexible supercapacitors.  相似文献

Herein, we describe a simple two‐step approach to prepare nickel phosphide with different phases, such as Ni2P and Ni5P4, to explain the influence of material microstructure and electrical conductivity on electrochemical performance. In this approach, we first prepared a Ni–P precursor through a ball milling process, then controlled the synthesis of either Ni2P or Ni5P4 by the annealing method. The as‐prepared Ni2P and Ni5P4 are investigated as supercapacitor electrode materials for potential energy storage applications. The Ni2P exhibits a high specific capacitance of 843.25 F g?1, whereas the specific capacitance of Ni5P4 is 801.5 F g?1. Ni2P possesses better cycle stability and rate capability than Ni5P4. In addition, the Fe2O3//Ni2P supercapacitor displays a high energy density of 35.5 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 400 W kg?1 and long cycle stability with a specific capacitance retention rate of 96 % after 1000 cycles, whereas the Fe2O3//Ni5P4 supercapacitor exhibits a high energy density of 29.8 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 400 W kg?1 and a specific capacitance retention rate of 86 % after 1000 cycles.  相似文献

An asymmetric supercapacitor based on manganese dioxide/Au/nickel foam (MANF) electrode as positive electrode and graphene or commercial activated carbons (AC) as negative electrode was fabricated. The effect of different negative electrode materials and mass ratios of negative/positive electrodes on the electrochemical properties of the asymmetric supercapacitor was carefully investigated. The results suggest that the mass ratio of negative/positive electrode has a significant impact on the specific capacitance of the asymmetric supercapacitor. Especially, it is found that the optimal mass ratio of the negative/positive electrode is slightly lower than that calculated according to charge balance. On the other hand, the asymmetric supercapacitor with commercialized AC as negative electrode possesses higher specific capacitance and better rate capability than that of the asymmetric supercapacitor with graphene as negative electrode. The negative material has slight impact on the cycle stability of the asymmetric supercapacitor. In addition, the optimized asymmetric supercapacitor with MANF composite as positive electrode and AC as negative electrode can obtain an energy density as high as 65.9 Wh?kg?1 at a power density of 180 W?kg?1 and a cell voltage of 1.8 V in the neutral Na2SO4 aqueous solution.  相似文献
