The frequency spectra of electrochemical impedance Z, photocurrent i, and photopotential E are obtained for a passive Fe electrode in 0.2 M KOH in a frequency range 1.3 to 8300 Hz. The validity of relationship E/i = –Z is proved experimentally. The oxide film impedance Z F is calculated from the frequency spectrum of E with expression Z F = –E/g. The generation current g is found from the photocurrent frequency spectrum. The frequency impedance spectrum Z F/S of the oxide/solution interface is determined with equation Z F/S = ZZ FR el, where R el is the solution resistance.  相似文献

Summary The recently developed relativistic double perturbation theory is extended to handle relativistic changes of molecular structure more easily. This is achieved by simple coordinate scalings. Accurate higher order mixed perturbation energies for H 2 + are calculated. The relativistic changes of bond energy,DE, of bond length,R e , and especially of force constant,k, and of anharmonicity,a, are large, up to 100%·(Z/c)2. The dominant contributions tok anda are due to the indirect change of the nonrelativistick anda connected with the relativistic change of bond length. The Dinitrone 2,2-diphenyl-3,3-bi-3H-indole-1,1-dioxide acts as a demethylating and dehydrogenating agent. The mechanism of interaction of the dinitrone with donors and acceptors does not involve intermediate charge-transfer complexes probably due to a self association between dinitrone molecules (as supported by X-ray determinations). The crystal structure of the dinitrone was obtained by direct methods;a=9.967 (2),b=19.817 (3),c=10.875 (2) Å, =111.2 (2)°, space group P21/n. The finalR andR w were 0.089 and 0.063 for all measured reflexes.

Zusammenfassung Das Dinitron 2,2-Diphenyl-3,3-bi-3H-indol-1,1-dioxid wirkt als Demethylierungs- und Oxydationsmittel. Die Wechselwirkung des Dinitrons mit Elektronen-Acceptoren und Elektronen-Donatoren geht wegen der Selbstassoziation zwischen den Dinitron-Molekülen ohne die dazwischenliegende Bildung eines Charge-Transfer-Komplexes vor sich; das wird auch von Röntgenstrukturuntersuchungen gestützt. Die Kristallstruktur wurde mit direkten Methoden ermittelt:a=9.967 (2),b=19.817 (3),c=10.875 (2) Å; =111.2 (2)°. P21/n. Die endgültigen WerteR undR w waren 0.089 und 0.063 für alle gemessenen Reflexe.

Summary For visual analysis of the density reorganization and distortion, the one-dimensional cut (x, y 0,z 0) and the two-dimensional cut (x, y, z 0) of the three-dimensional electron density difference function (x, y, z) are frequently employed. However, these cut functions do not satisfy any sum rules in contrast to the original difference function (x, y, z). To avoid this difficulty, the use of the marginal electron density functions x (x) and xy (x, y) and their difference functions x (x) and xy (x, y) is proposed. The marginal densities are condensation of the three-dimensional density onto a particular plane or line of our interest, and they satisfy the sum rule (i.e., the conservation of the number of electrons) exactly. Some basic properties of the marginal electron density are clarified for typical diatomic molecular orbitals. An illustrative application is given for the bonding and antibonding processes in the H2 system.  相似文献

Proton NMR was used to study the complexation reaction between silver ion and hexathia-18-crown-6 in a number of binary mixed solvents of dimethyl sulfoxide with acetonitrile and methanol. Formation constants for the resulting 1:1 complexes in different solvent mixtures were determined by computer fitting of the chemical shift-mole ratio data. The influence of solvent composition on the stability of the resulting complex is discussed. The exchange kinetics of Ag+-hexathia-18-crown-6 in 70-30 wt.% dimethyl sulfoxide-acetonitrile and 75-25 wt.% dimethyl sulfoxide-methanol were studied by proton NMR line-shape analysis. In both solvent mixtures, the exchange of thiacrown ether between the free and complexed sites was found to proceed via a dissociative pathway. The exchange rates and the activation parameters E a, H , S, and G for the ligand exchange were determined and the influence of solvent properties on these parameters discussed.  相似文献

Summary The kinetics of replacement of 4,4-bipyridine, (4,4-bipy), and 4-cyanopyridine, (4-CNpy), by cyanide in [Fe(CN)5-(4,4-bipy)]3-. at 298 K have been studied in binary aqueous mixtures containing different amounts of t-butanol, methanol, glycerol, ethyleneglycol and sucrose. The plots of logarithms of the limiting rate constantsversus the mole fraction of water are linear over the entire composition range studied, showing the importance of solvation phenomena. A different straight line of log (kL/s–1)versus XH2O is obtained for each mixture, indicating the influence of other solvent parameters on the reaction rate. A multiparameter regression of G exp with A (acidity vector), B (basicity vector) and GE is used for both reactions; plots of G calc versus G exp are linear with slopes of near unity.  相似文献

Quantum yields () for the generation of singlet oxygen sensitized by Pd(II) complexes of water-soluble porphyrins: meso-tetrakis(4-N-methylpyridyl)porphine [PdTMPyP]4+ ( = 0.9), meso-tetrakis(4-N,N,N-trimethylaminophenyl)porphine [PdTTMAPP]4+ ( = 0.8), meso-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphine [PdTCPP]4– ( = 0.7), and meso-tetrakis(4-sulfonatophenyl)porphine [PdTSPP]4– ( = 0.5) were determined using a chemical method. It was found that the dimerization and aggregation of metalloporphyrins greatly influence the value. The quantum yields evaluated for the formation of singlet oxygen sensitized by metalloporphyrin monomeric and dimeric forms are , M 0.9 and , D 0.2, respectively, and do not depend on the porphyrin nature.  相似文献

Isobaric expansibilities P and isothermal compressibilities T have been determined at 25 and 45°C for binary mixtures of ethylbenzene + n-tetradecane and + n-hexadecane and the corresponding excess functions (V E /T)P and (V E /P)T have also been obtained. With these data and supplementary literature values, the following second order mixing properties are also reported at 25°C: S E , (V E /P)T, CV and (VT). All mixing quantities have been compared with the results obtained at 25°C by using the Prigogine-Flory-Patterson theory of liquid mixtures. The predicted values suggest that the ability of ethylbenzene as a breaker of the pure n-Cn orientations is similar to what we found for toluene and higher than for p-xylene.  相似文献

The relative mobility of the nitro group and fluorine atom in 3,5-dinitro- and 3-fluoro-5-nitrobenzofluorides was estimated by the competing reaction technique using phenols in the presence of potassium carbonate (DMF, 65-95°C). Correlation analysis of the relative rate constants k(NO2)/k(F) and of the differences in the activation parameters (H and S ) of competing reactions showed the existence of two reaction series for the examined phenols. The higher mobility of the nitro group was found to result from the entropy control of the reactivity of arenes. The mechanism of these reactions is discussed.  相似文献

Linear (planar) molecules A and B which are identical except for isotopic substitutions at the atomic sites are considered. Stretching (bending, out-of-plane) frequencies k and normal modes k of the isotopically perturbed molecule B are expressed in terms of stretching (bending, out-of-plane) frequencies i and the corresponding normal modes i of the unperturbed molecule A. Complete specification of the unperturbed normal modes is not required. All that is needed are stretching (bending, out-of-plane) amplitudes | i of the normal modes i at those sites that are affected by isotopic substitution. The rule which interlaces frequencies k of molecule A with frequencies i of molecule B is derived. Given two isotopic molecules A and B that differ by a single isotopic substitution at site , the inversion relation is derived. This relation expresses unperturbed stretching (bending, out-of-plane) amplitudes at the site in terms of stretching (bending, out-of-plane) frequencies of molecules A and B . As an example, out-of-plane vibrations of deuterated bromoethene were considered. In the simplest method 12 out-of-plane frequencies of four polydeuterated bromoethenes were calculated from 12 out-of-plane frequencies of bromoethene and three monodeuterated bromoethenes. Standard deviation of thus calculated frequencies from experimental frequencies is =2.74 cm–1. In another method, 15 out-of-plane frequencies of four polydeuterated bromoethenes and selected monodeuterated bromoethene are calculated from 9 out-of-plane frequencies of bromoethene and the remaining two monodeuterated bromoethenes. Depending on which monodeuterated bromoethene is selected (1-, cis- or trans-), standard deviation of thus obtained frequencies from experimental frequencies is 1=2.84 cm–1, c=2.96 cm–1 and t=2.72 cm–1.  相似文献

Zusammenfassung Für eine numerische Auswertung von Enzymanalysen erscheint es zunächst naheliegend, in die Meßpunkte eine Ausgleichsgerade einzupassen und deren Steigung als Schätzwert für die gesuchte Anfangsgeschwindigkeit E/t 0 zu nehmen. Die Steigung der Ausgleichsgeraden liefert aber die mittlere Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit über die gesamte Meßzeit und unterschätzt E/t 0 immer dann, wenn die Reaktion gegen Ende der Meßzeit etwas langsamer läuft. Bei automatischen Geräten muß das Auswerteverfahren auch in solchen Fällen E/t 0 richtig schätzen. In der vorliegenden Arbeit wird eine einfache Möglichkeit, die zu diesem Ziel führt, diskutiert, nämlich die Schätzung von E/t 0 mit einer Ausgleichsparabel, die dem Reaktionsverlauf folgen kann.
Numerical evaluation of enzyme analyses
To calculate enzyme concentrations numerically, it seems obvious to fit a straight line into the data points and take the slope as an estimate for the starting velocity E/t 0. This slope, however, is proportional to the average reaction rate over the total measurement interval and always underestimates E/t 0 when the reaction is slowing down towards the end. Automatic analyzers must correctly estimate E/t 0 even in such cases. As discussed in this article, this can be achieved by fitting a second order parabola, that can follow the reaction, into the data points.

Shifts in the acid-base and tautomeric equilibria have been observed in aqueous solutions of 2-dimethylaminomethylphenol (DAMP) containing surfactants. Cationic micelles of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide increase the dissociation constants of DAMP (pK1 0.3, pK2 0.5), and anionic micelles of sodium dodecyl sulfate reduce them (pK1 1.5, pK2 0.3). The constant of tautomeric equilibrium decreases when ionic surfactants are added. Summary The specific conductivity of iron(III) laurate solutions in binary liquid mixtures shows that the soap aggregates into micelles and CMC is found to be independent of temperature and concentration of benzene, acetone and tetrachloromethane in 1-butanol. The variation of molecular conductance,, with soap concentration, C, is expressed by the equation: = 10ACB. Both constants A and B vary with solvent composition but B remains constant with increase in temperature. Several parameters such as molecular conductance at infinite dilution, , dissociation constant, K, heat of dissociation, H, entropy, S and free energy, G of dissociation of soap have been evaluated and the effect of the nature of solvents has been discussed.  相似文献

Summary The stoichiometric stability constants for La(III) and Y(III)L-serine complexes were determined by potentiometric methods at different ionic strengths adjusted with NaClO4 and at different temperatures. The overall changes in free energy (G o), enthalpy (H o), and entropy (S o) during the protonation ofL-serine and that accompanying the complex formation with the metal ions have been evaluated.

Isotope exchange reaction between NaCl-36 and triphenyltin chloride in dioxane-water (8020% w/w) and ethanol-water (9010% w/w) mixed solvents has been studied at 25, 35 and 50 °C. The exchange reaction was found to proceed via a bimolecular SN2, limiting mechanism with reaction rates depending on the solvent used. Inhibition of the exchange in ethanol-water is probably due to solvation of chloride ion through hydrogen bond formation. The rate laws for the exchange reactions are: Re=3.24×109 e–65550/RT [Rh3SnCl] [NaCl] in dioxanewater and Re=6.61×108 e–69600/RT [Ph3SnCl] [NaCl] in ethanol-water, where is the degree of dissociation of NaCl and Re is the rate of exchange in mol l–1 s–1. The activation parameters H*, S* and G* are reported.  相似文献

The frequency shifts of the O-H stretching modes and the resonance components R of these shifts in the IR spectra of H-complexes of phenol with thiophene derivatives having organic and organosilicon substituents have been analyzed. Relationship of and R parameters to values calculated by nonempirical methods that characterize the electronic effect of organic substituents on the effective charges of the thiophene ring atoms has been established. It has been shown that in the complexation of phenol (hard acid) with thiophene derivatives charge control prevails over frontier orbital control. 12- and 13(14)-Iso-20-deoxyluteones have been synthesized from 13E- and 13Z-bicyclogeranylgeranylacetones. The latter were reduced to the corresponding alcohols, which were acetylated, and the acetates obtained were cyclized with fluorosulfonic acid in nitropropane. From the herbLedum palustre L., collected in July in Kostroma province we have isolated -sitosterol, the triterpenoids taraxerol, uvaol, and ursolic acid, the coumarin fraxetin, the known flavonoids quercetin, hyperoside, and 3,3,7-tri-O-methylquercetin, and a new natural flavonoid. The latter was isolated in the form of light yellow crystals with mp 188–190°C (from ethanol), with the composition C19H18O8. On the basis of IR, UV, NMR, and mass spectroscopy the structure of 4,5-dihydroxy-3,3,5,7-tetramethoxyflavone has been suggested for it.All-Union Scientific-Research Institute of Medicinal Plants, Moscow. NaCl, NaBr, NaI, NaClO4, KCl, KClO4, NaBPh4, and Ph4PBr solution enthalpies were measured in water-sulfolane mixtures at 30°C. Ionic enthalpies of transfer from water to mixed solvents were calculated on the basis of the assumption H s o (BPh 4 )=H s o (Ph4P+). The variation of the ionic enthalpies of transfer with solvent composition is discussed in terms of ion-solvent interactions and of the effects caused by sulfolane on the structure of water.  相似文献
