Copper phthalocyanine was used as ion carrier for preparing polymeric membrane selective sensor for detection of iodide. The electrode was prepared by incorporating the ionophore into plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) membrane, coated on the surface of graphite electrode. This novel electrode shows high selectivity for iodide with respect to many common inorganic and organic anions. The effects of membrane composition, pH and the influence of lipophilic cationic and anionic additives and also nature of plasticizer on the response characteristics of the electrode were investigated. A calibration plot with near‐Nernestian slope for iodide was observed over a wide linear range of five decades of concentration (5×10?6?1×10?1 M). The electrode has a fast response time, and micro‐molar detection limit (ca. 1×10?6 M iodide) and could be used over a wide pH range of 3.0–8.0. Application of the electrode to the potentiometric titration of iodide ion with silver nitrate is reported. This sensor is used for determination of the minute amounts of iodide in lake water samples.  相似文献

An organically modified sol‐gel electrode using 3‐aminopropyltrimethoxy silane for covalent immobilization of a redox mediator namely toluidine blue has been reported. Cyclic voltammetric characterization of the modified electrode in the potential range of 0.2 V to ?0.6 V exhibited stable voltammetric behavior in aqueous supporting electrolyte with a formal potential of ?0.265 V vs. SCE, corresponding to immobilized toluidine blue. The electrocatalytic activity of the modified electrode when tested towards nitrite ion exhibited a favorable response with the electrocatalytic reduction of nitrite occurring at a reduced potential of ?0.34 V. A good linear working range from 2.94×10?6 M to 2.11×10?3 M with a detection limit of 1.76×10?6 M and quantification limit of 5.87×10?6 M was obtained for nitrite determination. The stable and quick response (4 s) of the modified electrode towards nitrite under hydrodynamic conditions shows the feasibility of using the present sensor in flow systems. Significant improvements in the operational stability by overcoming the leachability problem and repeatability with a relative standard deviation of 1.8% of the TB thin film sensor have been obtained by the strategy of immobilization of the mediator in the sol‐gel matrix.  相似文献

A new tin complex namely tetracyclohexyl tin(IV) (TCHT) was synthesized and used as the ion carrier for the construction of a highly selective salicylate sensor. This sensor shows a Nernstian response to salicylate ions over a very wide concentration (1.0 × 10?7–1.0 × 10?1 M) in a pH range of 5.5–10.5. The optimum selectivity and response could be obtained for a membrane incorporating 30% PVC, 61% BA, 3% of cationic additive (HTAB) and 6% of TCHT. The response time of the electrode is very short in the whole concentration range (15 s). The electrode also shows an excellent discriminating ability for salicylate ions with respect to the most common organic and inorganic anions including chloride, sulfate, nitrate, nitrite, cyanide, sulfite, iodide, thiocyanate, phosphate, acetate, oxalate, citrate, and tartarate ions. The detection limit of the proposed sensor is 8.0 × 10?8 M. The electrode was successfully used for determining the concentration of salicylate ion in synthetic serums.  相似文献

In this work, a gold nanoparticles/graphitizing carbon felt electrode (AuNPs/GCFE) was fabricated and a disposable sensor was thus fabricated to detect nitrite quickly and conveniently. The kinetic parameters of the electrode were studied in phosphate buffer solution (PBS). Under the optimal conditions, by using cyclic voltammetry, the oxidation peak current was linear with the concentration of nitrite in the range from 1.00 × 10?6 M to 3.35 × 10?3 M, with a detection limit of 9.50 × 10?7 M (3S/k). The influence of various anions on nitrite detection was studied, and the results showed that the fabricated sensor had good specificity toward nitrite.  相似文献

An amperometric enzyme electrode for the determination of hypoxanthine in fish meat is described. The hypoxanthine sensor was prepared from xanthine oxidase immobilized by covalent binding to cellulose triacetate and a carbon paste electrode containing hydroxymethylferrocene. The xanthine oxidase membrane was retained behind a dialysis membrane at a carbon paste electrode. The sensor showed a current response to hypoxanthine due to the bioelectrocatalytic oxidation of hypoxanthine, in which hydroxymethyiferrocene served as an electron-transfer mediator. The limit of detection is 6 × 10?7 M, the relative standard deviation is 2.8% (n=28) and the response is linear up to 7 × 10?4 M. The sensor responded rapidly to a low hypoxanthine concentration (7 × 10?4 M), the steady-state current response being achieved in less than 1 min, and was stable for more than 30 days at 5 ° C. Results for tuna samples showed good agreement with the value determined by the conventional method.  相似文献

In this work, a highly selective membrane triiodide sensor based on a new charge‐transfer complex of bis(2,4‐dimethoxybenzaldehyde)butane‐2,3‐dihydrazone with iodine (Iodide Charge Transfer complex: ICT) as membrane carrier is introduced. The influences of five different solvent mediators on sensitivity and selectivity of the proposed sensor were considered. The best performance was obtained with the membrane composition containing 30% poly (vinyl chloride), 63% DBP, 5% ICT and 2% HTAB. The electrode shows a Nernstian behavior over a very wide triiodide ion concentration range (1.0 × 10?7‐1.0 × 10?2 M), and a detection limit value of 8.0 × 10?8 M. The effect of pH on the potentiometric response of the sensor was also studied, and it was found that the response of the electrode is independent of the pH of the solution in the pH range of 4.0–10. The proposed sensor has a very fast response time (< 12 s), and good selectivities relative to a wide variety of common inorganic and organic anions, including iodide, acetate, bromide, chloride, fluoride, nitrite, nitrate, sulfite, sulfate, cyanide and thiocyanate. In fact the selectivity behavior of the proposed triiodide ion‐selective electrode shows great improvements compared to the previously reported electrodes for triiodide ion. The proposed membrane sensor can be used for at least 6 months without any divergence in the potentials. The electrode was successfully applied as an indicator electrode in the titration of triiodide with thiosulfate ion.  相似文献

2,5-Dioxo-4-imidazolidinyl was used as an excellent sensing material in the preparation of a PVC membrane for a Ce(III)-selective sensor. The electrode shows a good selectivity for the Ce(III) ion with respect to most common cations including alkali, alkaline earth, transition, and heavy metal ions. The developed sensor exhibits a wide linear response with a slope of 19.6?±?0.3 mV per decade over the concentration range of 1.0?×?10?6 to 1.0?×?10?1 M, while the illustrated detection limit is 5.7?×?10?7 M of Ce(III) ions. Moreover, it is concluded that the sensor response is pH-independent in the range of 3.1–9.8. The applications of the recommended electrode include the determination of concentration of Ce(III) ions in soil and sediment samples, validation with CRM's, and the Ce(III) ion potentiometric titration with EDTA as an indicator electrode.  相似文献

A new environmentally friendly Au nanoparticles (Au NPs) synthesis in glycerol by using ultraviolet irradiation and without extra‐added stabilizers is described. The synthesis proposed in this work may impact on the non‐polluting production of noble nanoparticles with simple chemicals normally found in standard laboratories. These Au NPs were used to modify a carbon paste electrode (CPE) without having to separate them from the reaction medium. This green electrode was used as an electrochemical sensor for the nitrite detection in water. At the optimum conditions the green sensor presented a linear response in the 2.0×10?7–1.5×10?5 M concentration range, a good detection sensitivity (0.268 A L mol?1), and a low detection limit of 2.0×10?7 M of nitrite. The proposed modified green CPE was used to determine nitrite in tap water samples.  相似文献

A new Cu(II) ion‐selective PVC membrane sensor based on 6‐methyl‐4‐(1‐phenylmethylidene)amino‐3‐thioxo‐1,2,4‐triazin‐5‐one (MATTO) as an excellent sensing material was developed. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian slope of 29.2±0.4 mV per decade over a very wide concentration range between 1.0×10?1 and 1.0×10?6 M, with a detection limit of 4.8×10?7 M (30.5 ng/mL). The sensor possesses the advantages of short conditioning time, fast response time (<10 s), and especially, very good selectivity towards transition and heavy metal, and some mono, di and trivalent cations. The proposed electrode was successfully applied to the determination of copper in wastewater of copper electroplating samples and as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of Cu(II) ions with EDTA.  相似文献

A novel chloride PVC‐based membrane sensor based on a ruthenium(III) Schiff's base complex, as an excellent neutral carrier, has been developed. The ruthenium complex, in combination with a ketonic plasticizer and a cationic additive led to ISEs with fundamental characteristics, such as slope sensitivity, short response times and selectivity coefficients, which were sufficient for practical applications. The sensor with composition of 30% PVC, 62% benzyl acetate, 5% ruthenium(III) Schiff's base complex and 3% hexadecyltrimethyl ammonium bromide displays near‐Nernstian behavior in a wide concentration range (1.0×10?1–3.0×10?6 M with slope of ?54.5±0.5) with a detection limit of 2.0×10?6 M (71.0 ng per mL). The response of the electrode is independent on pH in the range of 4.0–10.0 and can it be used for at least ten weeks. The proposed electrode shows a very short response time (<20 s) in whole concentration range. The sensor displays high selectivity toward chloride ions over several organic and inorganic anions. It was successfully applied for the determination of chloride in serum samples. It was also used as an indicator electrode in the potentiometric titration of chloride ions with silver nitrate solution.  相似文献

The nitrite-selective PVC membrane electrodes prepared with lipophilic long-chain tetraalkyltin compounds as neutral carrier show selectivity patterns significantly different from those obtained with classical anion-exchangers. The potentiometric selectivity coefficient for nitrite ion with respect to nitrate ion has been improved by about four orders of magnitude. The linear response range of the electrode based on tetralauryltin (TLT) is from 1 × 10?1M down to 2×10?5M with a detection limit of 5 × 10?6M. The Nernstian response of the electrode in the medium of pH≥7 gradually changes to a doubled super-Nernstian response when the solution turns slightly acidic. The change of the response slope has a closely relation with the stepwise complex-formation equilibrium of the carrier with the anion involved, which was experimentally studied by using ultraviolet spectroscopy. An explanation of the anomalous response behavior as well as the curve form of the potential-pH plot is given.  相似文献

A single-sweep polarographic determination of nitrite in 0.2 M sulphuric acid medium containing nickel(II) sulphate and ammonium thiocyanate is described. The ternary complex (NiSCNNO)+ which is formed in the solution is strongly adsorbed on the surface of the mercury electrode and an adsorptive polarographic wave at ?0.57 V (vs. SCE) is related to the concentration of nitrite in the range 2.0 × 10?8-1.0 × 10?6 M. The detection limit is 8 × 10?9 M. The relative standard deviation is 1.5% and the regression coefficient is 0.998. Most common anions and cations do not interfere. The mechanism of the electrode process was studied by several electrochemical methods. The polarographic wave is attributed to the reduction of nitrogen monoxide in the adsorbed (NiSCNNO)+ complex to hydroxylamine. The procedure was applied to the determination of trace amounts of nitrite in sausage, water and nitrate.  相似文献

Raloxifene is an important estrogen receptor modulator with many side effects, and determination of this drug is very important in biological samples. The present research describes a ZnO decorated graphene nanosheet (ZnO/GrNS)/ionic liquid based electrochemical sensor for the measurement of raloxifene. The ZnO/GrNS were synthesized via direct chemical precipitation process and characterized using the SEM-EDAX technique. Due to excellent conductivity of ZnO/GrNS and ionic liquid, the suggested electrochemical sensor exhibited improved electrochemical response for raloxifene. After optimization of electrochemical conditions and at the best state, the fabricated electrode displayed two linear dynamic ranges (1.0?×?10?10–5.0?×?10?6 and 1.0?×?10?6–5.0?×?10?4 M) with a detection limit (DL) of 0.07 nM. Quantification analysis of raloxifene was successfully evaluated using the suggested sensor in pharmaceutical samples.  相似文献

A kinetic method for the determination of trace nitrite (7 × 10?9–1.2 × 10?6 M) based on its catalytic effect on the reaction between potassium bromate and thionine in strongly acidic media is reported. The reaction is monitored spectrophotometrically by measuring the decreasing colour of thionine at 602 nm by the fixed-time method. At a given time of 5 min at 30°C, the detection limit is 2 × 10?9 M (0.001 absorbance ratio, b = 1 cm) and the relative standard deviation for 1 × 10?6 M nitrite is 2.6% (n = 6). The method is free from most interferences, especially from large amounts of nitrate. The procedure was successfully applied to the determination of trace nitrite in natural water and sausage samples without preconcentration and separation.  相似文献

Abstract

An original highly selective and sensitive PVC membrane sensor, working as a Fe(III) ion selective electrode and using 4‐amino‐6‐methyl‐3‐methylmercapto‐1,2,4‐triazin‐5‐one (AMMTO) as an ionophore, has been developed. This cetain sensor demonstrated the following performance; a linear dynamic range between 1.0×10?6 and 1.0×10?1 M with a near Nernstian slope of 19.4±0.5 mV per decade; a detection limit of 6.8×10?7 M; characteristically, the best performance was obtained with a membrane composition of 30% poly(vinyl chloride), 65.5% nitrophenyl octyl ether, 2% sodium tetraphenyl borate and 2.5% AMMTO. Furthermore, the potentiometric response of the developed electrode is independent of the solution pH in the range of 2.2–4.8. The sensor possesses the advantages of short conditioning time, fast response time (<15 s) and, especially, great selectivity towards transition and heavy metal ions and some mono, di‐ and trivalent cations. The electrode can be used for at least 9 weeks without any considerable potential divergence. It was effectively used as an indicator electrode in the potentiometric titration of Fe(III) ions with EDTA and the direct determination of Fe3+ in different water samples.  相似文献

A promising electrochemical nitrite sensor was fabricated by immobilizing Au@Fe3O4 nanoparticles on the surface of L ‐cysteine modified glassy carbon electrode, which was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The proposed sensor exhibited excellent electrocatalytic activity toward nitrite oxidation. The kinetic parameters of the electrode reaction process were calculated, (1–α)nα was 0.38 and the heterogeneous electron transfer coefficient (k) was 0.13 cm s?1. The detection conditions such as supporting electrolyte and pH value were optimized. Under the optimized conditions, the linear range for the determination of nitrite was 3.6×10?6 to 1.0×10?2 M with a detection limit of 8.2×10?7 M (S/N=3). Moreover, the as‐prepared electrode displayed good stability, repeatability and selectivity for promising practical applications.  相似文献

A PVC membrane electrode for Hg(II) ions, based on a new cone shaped calix[4]arene (L) as a suitable ionophore was constructed. The sensor exhibits a linear dynamic in the range of 1.0 × 10?6–1.0 × 10?1 M, with a Nernstian slope of 29.4 ± 0.4 mV decade?1, and a detection limit of 4.0 × 10?7 M. The response time is quick (less than 10 s), it can be used in the pH range of 1.5–4, and the electrode response and selectivity remained almost unchanged for about 2 months. The sensor revealed comparatively good selectivity with respect to most alkali, alkaline earth, and some transition and heavy metal ions. It was successfully employed as an indicator electrode in the potentiometric titration of Hg2+ ions with potassium iodide, and the direct determination of mercury content of amalgam alloy and water samples.  相似文献

The nitate-selective membrane electrode based on tributyloctadecylphosphonium nitrate can be used to quantify perrhenate and perchlorate after appropriate conditioning of the membrane. Near-Nernstian responses are obtained for 10?3–10?6 M perrhenate and 10?2–4 × 10?6 M perchlorate. Iron(II), copper(II) and chloride do not interfere in moderate amounts; other interferences are discussed. Rhenium leaches are analysed after suitable sample preparation. The electrode is useful in following the potentiometric titration of perrhenate with nitron.  相似文献

A highly selective PVC‐membrane electrode based on 2,6‐diphenylpyrylium fluoroborate is presented. The electrode reveals a Nernstian potentiometric response for sulfate ion over a wide concentration range (5.0 × 10?6‐1.0 × 10?1 M). The electrode has a response time of about 10 s and can be used for at least 2 months without any divergence. The proposed sensor revealed very good selectivities for sulfate over a wide variety of common organic and inorganic anions and could be used over a wide pH range (2.5–9.5). The detection limit of the sensor is 3.0 × 10?6 M. It was successfully applied to the direct determination of salbutamol, paramomycin tablets, and as an indicator electrode for potentiometric titration of sulfate ions with barium ions.  相似文献

In the present work, we described the preparation of iron nanoparticles decorated graphene-multiwalled carbon nanotubes nanocomposite (GR-MWCNTs/FeNPs) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) and its application for the sensitive determination of nitrite. First, GR-MWCNTs/FeNPs nanocomposite has been prepared by a simple solution-based approach via chemical reduction and then it was characterized. Afterwards, GR-MWCNTs/FeNPs/GCE was prepared and employed for the electrocatalysis of nitrite. Electrocatalytic oxidation of nitrite at the GR-MWCNTs/FeNPs/GCE has been significantly improved in terms of both reduction in overpotential and increase in peak current. Therefore, the modified electrode was employed for amperometric determination of nitrite which exhibited excellent analytical parameters with wide linear range of 1?×?10?7 M to 1.68?×?10?3 M and very low detection limit of 75.6 (±1.3)?nM. The proposed sensor selectively detects nitrite even in the presence of high concentration of common ions and biological interferrants. Good recoveries achieved for the determination of nitrite in various water samples reveal the promising practicality of the sensor. In addition, the sensor displays an acceptable repeatability and reproducibility along with appreciable storage and excellent operational stabilities.
