We prove existence theorems for random differential equations defined in a separable reflexive Banach space. These theorems are proved through the use of theory of random analysis established in [X. Presented are some new nonlinear integral inequalities of the Gronwall-Bellman-Bihari type in n-independent variables with delay which extend recent results of C. C. Yeh and M.-H. Shin [J. Math. Numerical optimization is used to construct new orthonormal compactly supported wavelets with a Sobolev regularity exponent as high as possible among those mother wavelets with a fixed support length and a fixed number of vanishing moments. The increased regularity is obtained by optimizing the locations of the roots the scaling filter has on the interval (π/2,π). The results improve those obtained by I. Daubechies (1988, Comm. Pure Appl. Math.41, 909–996), H. Volkmer (1995, SIAM J. Math. Anal.26, 1075–1087), and P. G. Lemarié-Rieusset and E. Zahrouni (1998, Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal.5, 92–105).  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is by using CSQ method to study the strong convergence problem of iterative sequences for a pair of strictly asymptotically pseudocontractive mappings to approximate a common fixed point in a Hilbert space. Under suitable conditions some strong convergence theorems are proved. Following the ideas presented by the author (E. P. Klement, J. Math. Anal. Appl.85 (1982), 543–565) finite T-fuzzy measures are introduced, T being a measurable triangular norm. We show that a T-fuzzy measure is always a fuzzy measure, as considered earlier (E. P. Klement, J. Math. Anal. Appl.25 (1980), 330–339). Then we study the relation to the integral with respect to some classical measure. Finally, for some special triangular norms T, we give precise characterizations of the corresponding classes of T-fuzzy measures.  相似文献

This paper is the first of a series of papers in which we generalize our results in (Asian J. of Math. 4, 817–830 (2000); J. Geom. Anal. 12, 63–79 (2002); Intern. J. Math. 14, 259–287 (2003)) to the general complex compact almost homogeneous manifolds of real cohomogeneity one. In this paper we deal with the exceptional case of the G 2 action (Cf. Intern. J. Math. 14, 259–287 (2003), p. 285). In particular, we prove the existence of Kähler-Einstein metric on this manifold.  相似文献

In this paper we derive a differential-difference equation for a circuit involving a lossless transmission line and we give conditions for global asymptotic stability of an equilibrium point, existence and stability of forced oscillations. Some of such problems have been investigated for an equation obtained by R. K. Brayton [Quart. J. Appl. Math.24 (1967), 289–301; O. Lopes, SIAM J. Appl. Math., to appear; M. Slemrod, J. Math. Anal. Appl.36 (1971), 22–40] but, for ours (which governs the same physical problem), better results can be proved. By using suitable Liapunov functionals, we reduce the problem of stability and uniform ultimate boundedness to a scalar ordinary differential inequality.  相似文献

We establish a new theorem of existence (and uniqueness) of solutions to the Navier-Stokes initial boundary value problem in exterior domains. No requirement is made on the convergence at infinity of the kinetic field and of the pressure field. These solutions are called non-decaying solutions. The first results on this topic dates back about 40 years ago see the references (Galdi and Rionero in Ann. Mat. Pures Appl. 108:361–366, 1976, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 62:295–301, 1976, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 69:37–52, 1979, Pac. J. Math. 104:77–83, 1980; Knightly in SIAM J. Math. Anal. 3:506–511, 1972). In the articles Galdi and Rionero (Ann. Mat. Pures Appl. 108:361–366, 1976, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 62:295–301, 1976, Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 69:37–52, 1979, Pac. J. Math. 104:77–83, 1980) it was introduced the so called weight function method to study the uniqueness of solutions. More recently, the problem has been considered again by several authors (see Galdi et al. in J. Math. Fluid Mech. 14:633–652, 2012, Quad. Mat. 4:27–68, 1999, Nonlinear Anal. 47:4151–4156, 2001; Kato in Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 169:159–175, 2003; Kukavica and Vicol in J. Dyn. Differ. Equ. 20:719–732, 2008; Maremonti in Mat. A recent paper by Mack and Rosenblatt (J. Multivar. Anal.9 (1979), 1–15) has shown that near neighbour estimators of a density may perform more poorly than other kernel-type estimators, particularly for x values in the tail of a distribution. In order to overcome the difficulties discovered by Mack and Rosenblatt, a generalized type of near neighbour estimator is proposed. Here the window size, or bandwidth, is chosen as a function of near neighbour distances, rather than actually equal to one of the distances. Two forms for this function are suggested and it is proved that for large samples the resulting estimator does not suffer the drawbacks of the usual near neighbour estimator.  相似文献

The asymptotic behaviour of certain second order integro-differential equations which are more general than those equations studied in [R. P. Agarwal, J. Math. Anal. Appl.86 (1982), 471–475] and [S. R. Grace and B. S. Lalli, J. Math. Anal. Appl.76 (1980), 84–90] are discussed. It is pointed out that a defect appeared in the basic Assumption 1 made in both papers, and we avoid this defect in our discussion by using more natural conditions.  相似文献

A theory of quantum martingales and quantum stochastic integrals in quasi-free representations of the CAR and CCR is presented. For the CAR, the results generalize some of those developed in Barnett, Streater, and Wilde (J. Funct. Anal.48 (1982), 172–212, J. London Math. Soc.27 (1983), 373–384) and for the CCR, the results contain the standard Itô theory of stochastic integration with respect to Brownian motion as a special case.  相似文献

H. Whitney [Amer. J. Math.54 (1932), 150–168] proved that edge isomorphisms between connected graphs with at least five vertices are induced by isomorphisms and that circuit isomorphisms between 3-connected graphs are induced by isomorphisms. R. Halin and H. A. Jung [J. London Math. Soc.42 (1967), 254–256] generalized these results by showing that for n ≥ 2, n-skein isomorphisms between (n+1)-connected graphs are induced by isomorphisms. In this paper we show that for n ≥ 2, n-skein isomorphisms between 3-connected graphs having (n+1)-skeins are induced by isomorphisms.  相似文献

In this paper, we continue to discuss the properties of iterates generated by a strict pseudo- contraction or a finite family of strict pseudo-contractions in a real q-uniformly smooth Banach space. The results presented in this paper are interesting extensions and improvements upon those known ones of Marino and Xu [Marino, G., Xu, H. K.: Weak and strong convergence theorems for strict pseudo-contractions in Hilbert spaces. J. Math. Anal. Appl., 324, 336-349 (2007)]. In order to get a strong convergence theorem, we modify the normal Mann's iterative algorithm by using a suitable convex combination of a fixed vector and a sequence in C. This result extends a recent result of Kim and Xu [Kim, T. H., Xu, H. K.: Strong convergence of modified Mann iterations. Nonl. Anal., 61, 51- 60 (2005)] both from nonexpansive mappings to λ-strict pseudo-contractions and from Hilbert spaces to q-uniformly smooth Banach spaces.  相似文献

An existence result for optimal control problems of Lagrange type with unbounded time domain is derived very directly from a corresponding result for problems with bounded time domain. This subsumes the main existence result of R. F. Baum ¦J. Optim. Theory Appl.19 (1976), 89–116¦ and has the existence results for optimal economic growth problems of S.-I. Takekuma ¦J. Math. Econom.7 (1980), 193–208¦ and M. J. P. Magill ¦Econometrica49 (1981), 679–711; J. Math. Anal. Appl.82 (1981), 66–74¦ as simple corollaries. In addition, a new notion of uniform integrability is used, which coincides with the classical notion if the time domain is bounded.  相似文献

It is shown that a separable Banach space X has the point of weak to norm continuity property (resp. the Radon-Nikodym property) if and only if there exists a compact Gδ-embedding (resp. an Hδ-embedding) from X into l2. This solves several questions of J. Bourgain and H. P. Rosenthal (J. Funct. Anal.52 (1983)). It is also shown that every non-relatively compact sequence in a Banach space with property (PC) has a difference subsequence which is a boundedly complete basic sequence. This solves a question of Pelczynski and extends some results of W. B. Johnson and H. P. Rosenthal (Studia Math.43 (1972), 77–92). Various related questions asked in the above Bourgain-Rosenthal reference and by G. A. Edgar and R. F. Wheeler (Pac. J. Math.115 (1984)) and N. Ghoussoub and H. P. Rosenthal (Math. This paper is a continuation of a previous paper (A. S. Fokas, J. Math. Anal. Appl.68 (1979), 347–370). It first establishes an isomorphism between dynamical variables of Hamilton's equations and Lie-Bäcklund operators of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation. It then concentrates on invariants at most cubic in the momenta. Illustrative examples are mainly potentials due to two centers and limiting cases thereof. The subdual latticial cones in Hilbert spaces are characterized by the isotonicity of a generalization of the positive part mapping which can be expressed in terms of the metric projection only. Although Németh characterized the positive cone of Hilbert lattices with the metric projection and ordering only [A.B. Németh, Characterization of a Hilbert vector lattice by the metric projection onto its positive cone, J. Approx. Theory 123 (2) (2003), pp. 295–299.], this has been done for the first time for subdual latticial cones in this article. We also note that the normal generating pointed closed convex cones for which the projection onto the cone is isotone are subdual latticial cones, but there are subdual latticial cones for which the metric projection onto the cone is not isotone [G. The author proposed (Trans. Amer. Math. Soc.199 (1974), 89–112) the extended entropy condition (E) and solved the Riemann problem for general 2 × 2 conservation laws. The Riemann problem for 3 × 3 gas dynamics equations was treated by the author (J. Differential Equations18 (1975), 218–231). In this paper we justify condition (E) by the viscosity method in the spirit of Gelfand [Uspehi Mat. Nauk14 (1959), 87–158]. We show that a shock satisfies condition (E) if and only if the shock is admissible, that is, it is the limit of progressive wave solutions of the associated viscosity equations. For the “genuinely nonlinear” 2 × 2 conservation laws, Conley and Smoller [Comm. Pure Appl. Math.23 (1970), 867–884] proved that a shock satisfies Lax's shock inequalities [cf. Comm. Pure Appl. Math.14 (1957), 537–566] if and only if it is admissible. In this paper, we consider systems that are not necessarily genuinely nonlinear.  相似文献

The method used in an article by T. S. Matzkin and E. G. Straus [Canad. J. Math.17 (1965), 533–540] is generalized by attaching nonnegative weights to t-tuples of vertices in a hypergraph subject to a suitable normalization condition. The edges of the hypergraph are given weights which are functions of the weights of its t-tuples and the graph is given the sum of the weights of its edges. The extremal values and the extremal points of these functions are determined. The results can be applied to various extremal problems on graphs and hypergraphs which are analogous to P. Turán's Theorem [Colloq. Math.3 (1954), 19–30: (Hungarian) Mat. Fiz. Lapok48 (1941), 436–452].  相似文献
