A high-power diode -pumped Nd3+:YAl3(BO3)4 (Nd:YAB) laser emitting at 1338 nm is described. At the incident pump power of 9.8 W, as high as 734 mW of continuous-wave (CW) output power at 1338 nm is achieved. The slope efficiency with respect to the incident pump power was 9.0%. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of such a laser system. The output power stability over 60 min is better than 2.6%. The laser beam quality M 2 factor is 1.21.  相似文献

A miniature tunable TEA CO2 laser using isotope 13C16O2 as the active medium is developed to extend the spectral range of CO2 lasers for further application. The optimization of the energy parameters of the tunable TEA 13C16O2 laser and the same laser using 12C16O2 are studied. When a gas mixture (13C16O2: N2: He = 1: 1: 3) at a total pressure of 6.4 × 104 Pa is used, the TEA 13C16O2 laser of a 45-cm3 active volume obtains 51 emission lines in the [0001–1000] and [0001–0200] bands. The maximum pulse energy of the TEA 13C16O2 laser is about 357 mJ. The same laser using the conventional gas mixture (12C16O2: N2: He = 1: 1: 3) at a pressure of 6.66 × 104 Pa is measured to obtain 69 laser emission lines and the maximum pulse energy of laser radiation is about 409 mJ.  相似文献

It is reported that efficient continuous-wave (CW) red laser generation at 670 nm in a LBO crystal at type-I phase matching direction performed with a diode-pumped Nd3+:YAlO3 (Nd:YAP) laser. With incident pump power of 15.6 W, output power of 273 mW at 670 nm has been obtained using a 10 mm-long LBO crystal. At the output power level of 273 mW, the output stability is better than 3.7%.  相似文献

The crystal of Nd3+:Sr6YSc(BO3)6 with dimensions of O 19×42 mm3 was grown by the Czochralski method. It’s spectral and laser properties have been investigated. The absorption cross section is 1.47×10-20 cm2 with a FWHM 12.0 nm at 807 nm, the emission cross section is 1.57×10-19 cm2 at 1060 nm, and the fluorescence lifetime is 76 μs at room temperature. The maximum laser output is 25.7 mJ at 1.06 μm pumped by a single Xenon flash lamp and the overall and average slope efficiencies are 0.12% and 0.09%, respectively. We have demonstrated the continuous wave laser operation of Yb3+:YVO4. For Ti:Al2O3 laser pumping at 985 nm, a maximum slope efficiency of 41.1% and a threshold pump power of 76 mW were obtained. The maximum output power was 433 mW at a laser wavelength of 1037 nm.Using a cw diode laser around 974 nm as a pump source, a slope efficiency of 10.9% and a maximum output power of 152 mW were achieved at a laser wavelength of 1039 nm. The laser threshold pump power was 608 mW with respect to the absorbed pump power. The effective emission cross-sections for the 2F5/22F7/2 transition were determined using the Füchtbauer–Ladenburg equation. The maxima of the effective absorption and emission cross-sections were found at 984.5 nm (6.74×10-20 cm2) in -po larization and 985.5 nm (4.28×10-20 cm2) also in -p olarization. A Pr3+-doped La2(WO4)3 crystal grown by the Czochralski method has been investigated as a promising laser material. The principal axes of the optical indicatrix and Pr3+ concentration of the crystal were determined. The polarized absorption, fluorescence spectra and fluorescence decay curves of the main emission multiplets of the crystal were measured at room temperature. The spectroscopic parameters were obtained by the modified Judd–Ofelt theory combined with the normalized method. The peak stimulated emission cross-sections of the major emission lines were estimated. The good spectroscopic properties imply that the Pr3+:La2(WO4)3 crystal is a potential laser gain medium for solid-state laser and self-stimulated Raman laser applications. We describe the output performances of the 930 nm 4 F 3/24 I 9/2 transition in Nd3+:YAlO3 (Nd:YAP) under in-band pumping with diode laser at the 803 nm wavelength. An end-pumped Nd:YAP crystal yielded 1.13 W of continuous-wave (CW) output power for 17.8 W of incident pump power. Moreover, intracavity second-harmonic generation has also been achieved with a power of 172 mW at 465 nm by using a LiB3O5 (LBO) nonlinear crystal. The blue beam quality factor M 2 was less than 1.3. The blue power stability was less 3% in 60 min.  相似文献

The polarized absorption spectra of Tm3+-doped potassium yttrium tungstate (Tm:KY(WO4)2) crystal at room temperature were measured. The emission spectrum and lifetime of the 3 F 4 excited state were determined. Using standard and modified Judd–Ofelt theories, the intensity parameters and the radiative lifetimes were calculated and good agreement with the experimental results was obtained for both theories. Continuous-wave laser operation in Tm:KYW crystal under laser diode pumping at 802 nm and 1750 nm was demonstrated with slope efficiency of 53% and 28% and output power of about 555 mW and 86 mW, respectively. We report a red laser at 671 nm generation by intracavity frequency doubling of a continuous wave (cw) laser operation of a 1342 nm Nd:Y0.36Gd0.64VO4 laser under diode pumping into the emitting level 4 F 3/2. An GdCa4O(BO3)3 (GdCOB) crystal, cut for critical type I phase matching at room temperature is used for second harmonic generation of the laser. At an incident pump power of 17.8 W, as high as 1.12 W of cw output power at 671 nm is achieved. The optical-to-optical conversion efficiency is up to 6.3%, and the fluctuation of the red output power was better than 3.5% in the given 30 min.  相似文献

A diode pumped Pr3+:LiYF4 laser at 639.5 nm has been demonstrated. With an incident pump power of 920 mW, the maximum red output power was 272 mW. Moreover, intracavity second-harmonic generation (SHG) has also been achieved with a maximum ultraviolet power of 23 mW by using a β-BaB2O4 (BBO) nonlinear crystal. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report on continuous-wave ultraviolet generation by intracavity frequency doubling Pr3+:LiYF4 laser.  相似文献

We measured the absorption and luminescence spectra of Nd3+ ions in an inorganic solvent POCl3-BCl3. The spectra were analyzed in terms of the Judd-Ofelt theory. We calculated the Judd-Ofelt parameters, oscillator strengths, spontaneous emission probabilities, luminescence quantum yield, and the stimulated emission cross section for the laser transition 4 F 3/24 I 11/2 of the neodymium ion in a POCl3-BCl3-Nd3+ solution.  相似文献

We report a diode-pumped Pr3+:YAlO3 laser emitting at 747 nm. A power of 232 mW at 747 nm has been achieved in continuous-wave operation with a diode emitting 2 W at 448 nm. Furthermore, intracavity second-harmonic generation in continuous-wave mode has also been demonstrated with a power of 52 mW at 374 nm by using a LBO nonlinear crystal. The fluctuation of the violet output power was better than 2.3%. The beam quality M 2 value is 2.2.  相似文献

Absolute transition frequencies of the b 3Π(0u +) - X 1Σg + system of K2 were measured in a molecular beam with Lamb dip absorption spectroscopy applying a frequency comb from a femtosecond pulsed laser. Both, K atoms and K2 molecules are present in the beam and are expected to interact by collisions. The atoms can be deflected optically out of the beam, and thus the collision rate between K atoms and K2 molecules is changed by about an order of magnitude. The molecular transition frequencies for low collisional rate are compared with those for high one. Limits for the collisional frequency shift within the beam are determined.  相似文献

Single crystals of double sodium-containing lanthanum and gadolinium molybdates doped with Tm3+ ions were synthesized by the Czochralski method. The spectroscopic properties of these crystals were investigated from the viewpoint of their use as active media in diode-pumped lasers. The polarized spectra of absorption on the 3 H 4 and 3 F 4 levels and the polarized spectra of luminescence due to the 3 F 4-3 H 6 laser transition were recorded, and the lifetimes of the 3 H 4 and 3 F 4 excited states of the Tm3+ ions were determined. The luminescence cross sections were calculated using the Füchtbauer-Ladenburg formula. The simulation of the decay curve of the 3 H 4 excited state according to the Golubov-Konobeev-Sakun method revealed that, in the crystals under investigation, the interaction between Tm3+ ions predominantly occurs through the dipole-dipole mechanism.  相似文献

We report spectroscopic and laser properties for propagation directions outside the principal axes of Yb3+-doped low symmetry laser crystals with a special devotion to the wavelength dependence anisotropy. We illustrate our report with experimental data in the 900–1075 nm range of wavelengths from the Yb3+:La2CaB10O19 monoclinic crystal excited under laser diode pumping at 975 nm. This study, which makes easier the realization of Yb3+ lasers with an efficient free-running operation at the wavelength having the highest emission intensity or at a specified wavelength, or emitting two frequencies with a specified frequency difference, is of promising interest for applications.  相似文献

The spectral properties of a promising laser material, ternary molybdate Li3Ba2Gd3(MoO4)8:Nd3+, are studied (i.e., its optical absorption spectra, luminescence spectra, kinetic of luminescence decay, and temperature dependence of luminescence). We report on the spectroscopy and, for the first time to our knowledge, continuous-wave and Q-switched diode-pumped laser operation of Er,Yb:YVO4 crystal. Absorption and emission spectra of the crystal were determined. Lifetimes of Er3+ 4 I 13/2 and 4 I 11/2 levels that define laser performance of the crystal were measured and parameters of energy transfer between Yb3+ and Er3+ ions were estimated. cw output power of 115 mW with slope efficiency of 5.4% was achieved at 1604 nm. In the Q-switched mode an average output power of 81 mW with slope efficiency of 3.5% and pulse duration of 150 ns was obtained. A dual-wavelength continuous-wave (CW) diode end-pumped Nd3+:YAlO3 (Nd:YAP) laser that generates simultaneous laser action at the wavelengths 1064 and 930 nm is demonstrated. A total output power of 2.15 W (1.57 W at 1064 nm and 0.58 W at 930 nm) for the dual-wavelength was achieved at the incident pump power of 17.8 W with optical conversion efficiency of 12.1%. The M 2 values for 930 and 1064 nm lights were found to be around 1.21 and 1.32, respectively.  相似文献

With incident pump power of 18.4 W, output power of 823 mW at 465 nm has been obtained using a 10 mm-long BiBO crystal.
