Finite groups acting on rings by automorphisms, and group-graded rings are instances of Hopf algebras H acting on H-module algebras A. We study such actions. Let AH = {a ε A¦h · A = (h) a, all h ε H}, the ring of H-invariants, and form the smash product A # H. We study the ring extensions AH A A # H. We prove a Maschke-type theorem for A # H-modules. We form an associated Morita context [AH, A, A, A # H] and use these to get connections between the various rings.  相似文献

We define the notion of admissible pair for an algebra A, consisting on a couple (Γ, R), where Γ is a quiver and R a unital, splitted and factorizable representation of Γ, and prove that the set of admissible pairs for A is in one to one correspondence with the points of the variety of twisting maps TAn:=T(Kn,A)\mathcal{T}_A^n:=\mathcal{T}(K^n,A). We study Nijenhuis structures on Courant algebroids in terms of the canonical Poisson bracket on their symplectic realizations. We prove that the Nijenhuis torsion of a skew-symmetric endomorphism N of a Courant algebroid is skewsymmetric if N 2 is proportional to the identity, and only in this case when the Courant algebroid is irreducible. We derive a necessary and sufficient condition for a skewsymmetric endomorphism to give rise to a deformed Courant structure. In the case of the double of a Lie bialgebroid (A, A*), given an endomorphism N of A that defines a skew-symmetric endomorphism N of the double of A, we prove that the torsion ofN is the sum of the torsion of N and that of the transpose of N.  相似文献

Abstract

Let A be an absolute valued algebra. We prove that if A satisfies the identity (x 2, x 2, x 2) = 0 for all x in A, and contains a central idempotent e, that is ex = xe for all x in A, then A is finite dimensional. This result enables us to prove that if A satisfies (x 2, x 2, x 2) = 0 and admits an involution then A is finite dimensional. To show that our assumptions on A are essential we recall that in El-Mallah [El-Mallah, M. L. (1988). Absolute valued algebras with an involution. Arch. Math. 51:39–49] it was shown that the existence of a central idempotent in A is not a sufficient condition for A to be finite dimensional; and the example given in El-Mallah [El-Mallah, M. L. (2003). Semi-algebraic absolute valued algebras with an involution. Comm. Algebra 31(7):3135–3141] shows that there exist infinite dimensional semi-algebraic absolute valued algebras satisfying the identity (x 2, x 2, x 2) = 0.  相似文献

We study several bounds for the determinant of an n × n positive definite Hermitian matrix A. These bounds are the best possible given certain data about A. We find the best bounds in the cases that we are given: (i) the diagonal elements of A: (ii) the traces trA,tr A 2 and n and (iii)n, tr A tr A 2 and the diagonal elements of A. In case (i) we get the well known Hadamard inequality. The other bounds are Hadamard type bounds. The bounds are found using optimization techniques.  相似文献

Given an exact category A, we introduce a bisimplicial set W A, which is self-dual and contains both the G-construction of A and its dualization. We prove that the embeddings of G.A and G op .A into W A are homotopy equivalences. If A is an exact category with duality, we calculate the induced action of duality on K 1 (A). Let k ? K be an extension of fields, and let A ? M n (K) be a k-algebra. We study parameter spaces of m-dimensional subspaces of K n which are invariant under A. The space A (m, n), whose R-rational points are A-invariant, free rank m summands of R n , is well known. We construct a distinct parameter space, A (m, n), which is a fiber product of a Grassmannian and the projectivization of a vector space. We then study the intersection A (m, n) ∩  A (m, n), which we denote by A (m, n). Under suitable hypotheses on A, we construct affine open subschemes of A (m, n) and A (m, n) which cover their K-rational points. We conclude by using A (m, n), A (m, n), and A (m, n) to construct parameter spaces of 2-sided subspaces of 2-sided vector spaces.  相似文献

We characterize sets A0, A1 for which there is a DB1 function f with [f = 0] = A0 and [f = 1] = A1. This characterization is a conjunction of necessary conditions for Darboux and for Baire 1 functions. We consider a selfadjoint operator, A, and a selfadjoint rank-one projection, P, onto a vector, φ, which is cyclic for A. In terms of the spectral measure dμAφ, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for A + λ P to have empty singular continuous spectrum or to have only point spectrum for a.e. λ. Consider the boundary value problem εy″ =(y2 ? t2)y′, ?1 ?t?0, y(?1) = A, y(0) = B. We discuss the multiplicity of solutions and their limiting behavior as ε→+0+ for certain choices of A and B. In particular, when A = 1, B = 0, a bifurcation analysis gives a detailed and fairly complete analysis. The interest here arises from the complexity of the set of "turning points."  相似文献

Let AKΔ /I be a factor of a path algebra. We develop a strategy to compute dim H 1(A), the dimension of the first Hochschild cohomology group of A, using combinatorial data from (Δ,I). That allows us to connect dim H 1(A) with the rank and p-rank of the fundamental group π1(Δ,I) of (Δ,I). In this paper we introduce the strongly almost convergent generalized difference sequence spaces associated with multiplier sequences i.e. w 0[A m ,Λ,p], w 1[A m ,Λ,p], w [A m ,Λ,p] and study their different properties. We also introduce Δ Λ m -statistically convergent sequences and give some inclusion relations between w 1 m ,λ,p] convergence and Δ Λ m -statistical convergence. For H a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra over a field k, we study H*-Galois Azumaya extensions A, i.e., A is an H-module algebra which is H*-Galois with A/AH separable and AH Azumaya. We prove that there is a Galois correspondence between a set of separable subalgebras of A and a set of separable subalgebras of CA(AH), thus generalizing the work of Alfaro and Szeto for H a group algebra. In this paper, function spaces V∩l A p (w) are considered in the context of their multiplicative structure. The space V is determined by conditions on the values of a function in a disk (for example, CA,Lip Aα). We denote by l A p (w) the space of power series such that their Taylor coefficients are p-summable with weight w. For an analytic function Φ acting in a space of this type, we prove the following alternative: either Φ″(z)≡0, or the space is a Banach algebra with respect to pointwise multiplication. For a wide class of weights w, we establish the continuity of the identity embeddingmult(V∩l A p (w))↪multl A p . An estimate for the lp-multiplicative norm of random polynomials is found. In the paper, the split quaternion matrix equation AXAη*=B is considered, where the operator Aη* is the η-conjugate transpose of A, where η∈{i,j,k}. We propose some new real representations, which well exploited the special structures of the original matrices. By using this method, we obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for AXAη*=B to have XXη* solutions and derive the general expressions of solutions when it is consistent. In addition, we also derive the general expressions of the least squares XXη* solutions to it in case that this matrix equation is not consistent.  相似文献
