Let D be a bounded homogeneous domain in ℂ n . In this paper, we study the bounded and the compact weighted composition operators mapping the Hardy space H (D) into the Bloch space of D. We characterize the bounded weighted composition operators, provide operator norm estimates, and give sufficient conditions for compactness. We prove that these conditions are necessary in the case of the unit ball and the polydisk. We then show that if D is a bounded symmetric domain, the bounded multiplication operators from H (D) to the Bloch space of D are the operators whose symbol is bounded.  相似文献

We compute the essential norm of a composition operator relatively to the class of Dunford-Pettis operators or weakly compact operators, on some uniform algebras of analytic functions. Even in the context of H (resp. the disk algebra), this is new, as well for the polydisk algebras and the polyball algebras. This is a consequence of a general study of weighted composition operators.   相似文献

We consider differences of composition operators between given weighted Banach spaces H v or H 0 v of analytic functions defined on the unit polydisk D N with weighted sup-norms and give estimates for the distance of these differences to the space of compact operators. We also study boundedness and compactness of the operators. This paper is an extension of [6] where the one-dimensional case is treated. Received: May 15, 2007. Revised: October 8, 2007.  相似文献

Weakly compact homomorphisms between (URM) algebras with connected maximal ideal space are shown to factor through H(D) by means of composition operators and to be strongly nuclear. The spectrum of such homomorphisms is also described. Strongly nuclear composition operators between algebras of bounded analytic functions are characterized. The path connected components of the space of endomorphisms on H(D) in the uniform operator topology are determined.  相似文献

Operators on function spaces acting by composition to the right with a fixed selfmap φ of some set are called composition operators of symbol φ. A weighted composition operator is an operator equal to a composition operator followed by a multiplication operator. We summarize the basic properties of bounded and compact weighted composition operators on the Hilbert Hardy space on the open unit disk and use them to study composition operators on Hardy–Smirnov spaces. We construct, for 1<p<∞,p ≠ 2, an operator onL pwhose distance to the space of compact operators onL pis not attained. We also show that the identity operator onL p,p ≠ 1,2, ∞ has a unique best compact approximation. Research partially supported by NSF grant DMS-8201635.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the weighted compositon operators on weighted Bergman spaces of bounded symmetric domains. The necessary and sufficient conditions for a weighted composition operator W φψ to be bounded and compact are studied by using the Carleson measure techniques. In the last section, we study the Schatten p-class weighted composition operators.  相似文献

It is known that there is a continuous linear functional on L which is not narrow. On the other hand, every order-to-norm continuous AM-compact operator from L (μ) to a Banach space is narrow. We study order-to-norm continuous operators acting from L (μ) with a finite atomless measure μ to a Banach space. One of our main results asserts that every order-to-norm continuous operator from L (μ) to c 0(Γ) is narrow while not every such an operator is AM-compact.  相似文献

Let and be two analytic functions defined on such that. The operator given by is called a weighted composition operator. In this paper we deal with the boundedness, compactness, weak compactness, and complete continuity of weighted composition operators from a Hardy space H p into another Hardy space H q . We apply these results to study composition operators on Hardy spaces of a half-plane. Submitted: November 20, 2001.  相似文献

Let T be a Calderón-Zygmund operator in a “non-homogeneous” space ( , d, μ), where, in particular, the measure μ may be non-doubling. Much of the classical theory of singular integrals has been recently extended to this context by F. Nazarov, S. Treil, and A. Volberg and, independently by X. Tolsa. In the present work we study some weighted inequalities for T*, which is the supremum of the truncated operators associated with T. Specifically, for1<p<∞, we obtain sufficient conditions for the weight in one side, which guarantee that another weight exists in the other side, so that the corresponding Lp weighted inequality holds for T*. The main tool to deal with this problem is the theory of vector-valued inequalities for T* and some related operators. We discuss it first by showing how these operators are connected to the general theory of vector-valued Calderón-Zygmund operators in non-homogeneous spaces, developed in our previous paper [6]. For the Cauchy integral operator C, which is the main example, we apply the two-weight inequalities for C* to characterize the existence of principal values for functions in weighted Lp.  相似文献

The Gelfand widths of the unit ball of H2(ν) (the weighted Hardy space) with respect to the metric of the space L(Tr) are considered (here Tr is the circle of radius r centered at the origin), as well as the Bernstein widths of the unit ball of H with respect to the metric of the space L2(Tr, μ). Asymptotic formulas for the widths in question are established for arbitrary measures ν, μ. Bibliography: 5 titles. Translated fromZapiski Nauchnykh Seminarov POMI, Vol. 232, 1996, pp. 134–140. In this paper, we study composition operators on a Banach space of analytic functions, denoted byX, which includes the Bloch space. This space arises naturally as the dual space of analytic functions in the Bergman spaceL α 1 (D) which admit an atomic decomposition. We characterize the functions which induce compact composition operators and those which induce Fredholm operatorson this space. We also investigate when a composition operator has a closed range. We prove weighted strong inequalities for the multilinear potential operator Tf{\cal T}_{\phi} and its commutator, where the kernel ϕ satisfies certain growth condition. For these operators we also obtain Fefferman-Stein type inequalities and Coifman type estimates. Moreover we prove weighted weak type inequalities for the multilinear maximal operator Mj,LB\mathcal{M}_{\varphi,L^{B}} associated to an essentially nondecreasing function φ and to the Orlicz space L B for a given Young function B. This result allows us to obtain a weighted weak type inequality for the operator Tf{\cal T}_{\phi}.  相似文献

We establish a condition that guarantees isolation in the space of composition operators acting between Hp(BN) and Hq(BN), for 0 < p ≤ ∞, 0 < q < ∞, and N ≥ 1. This result will allow us, in certain cases where 0 < q < p ≤ ∞, completely to characterize the component structure of this space of operators.  相似文献

For a locally compact group G, L^1 (G) is its group algebra and L^∞(G) is the dual of L^1 (G).Lau has studied the bounded linear operators T:L^∞(G)→L^∞(G) which commute with convolutions and translations. For a subspace H of L^∞(G), we know that M(L^∞(G),H), the Banach algebra of all bounded linear operators on L^∞(G) into H which commute with convolutions, has been studied by Pyre and Lau. In this paper, we generalize these problems to L(K)^*, the dual of a hypergroup algebra L(K) in a very general setting, i.e. we do not assume that K admits a Haar measure. It should be noted that these algebras include not only the group algebra L^1(G) but also most of the semigroup algebras.Compact hypergroups have a Haar measure, however, in general it is not known that every hypergroup has a Haar measure. The lack of the Haar measure and involution presents many difficulties; however,we succeed in getting some interesting results.  相似文献

We first prove two forms of von Neumann’s mean ergodic theorems under the framework of complete random inner product modules. As applications, we obtain two conditional mean ergodic convergence theorems for random isometric operators which are defined on L p (ℰ, H) and generated by measure-preserving transformations on Ω, where H is a Hilbert space, L p (ℰ, H) (1 ⩽ p < ∞) the Banach space of equivalence classes of H-valued p-integrable random variables defined on a probability space (Ω, ℰ, P), F a sub σ-algebra of ℰ, and L p (ℰ(E,H) the complete random normed module generated by L p (ℰ, H).  相似文献

We study integral operators on (−1, 1) with kernels k(x, t) which may have weak singularities in (x, t) with xN1, tN2, or x=t, where N1,N2 are sets of measure zero. It is shown that such operators map weighted L–spaces into certain weighted spaces of smooth functions, where the degree of smoothness is the higher the smoother the kernel k(x, t) as a function in x is. The spaces of smooth function are generalizations of the Ditzian-Totik spaces which are defined in terms of the errors of best weighted uniform approximation by algebraic polynomials.  相似文献

The two-dimensional classical Hardy space Hp(T×T) on the bidisc are introduced, and it is shown that the maximal operator of the (C,α,β) means of a distribution is bounded from the space Hp(T×T) to Lp(T2) (1/(α+1), 1/(β+1)<p≤∞), and is of weak type (H 1 # (T×T), L1(T2)), where the Hardy space H 1 # (T×T) is defined by the hybrid maximal function. As a consequence we obtain that the (C, α, β) means of a function f∈H 1 # (T×T)⊃LlogL(T 2) convergs a. e. to the function in question. Moreover, we prove that the (C, α, β) means are uniformly bounded on the spaces Hp(T×T) whenever 1/(α+1), 1(β+1)<p<∞. Thus, in case f∈Hp(T×T), the (C, α, β) means convergs to f in Hp(T×T) norm whenever (1/(α+1), 1/(β+1)<p<∞). The same results are proved for the conjugate (C, α, β) means, too.  相似文献
