Let A be a self-adjoint elliptic second-order differential operator, let (, ) be an inner gap in the spectrum of A, and let B(t) = A + tW * W, where W is a differential operator of higher order. Conditions are obtained under which the spectrum of the operator B(t) in the gap (, ) is either discrete, or does not accumulate to the right-hand boundary of the spectral gap, or is finite. The quantity N(, A, W, ), (, ), > 0 (the number of eigenvalues of the operator B(t) passing the point (, ) as t increases from 0 to ) is considered. Estimates of N(, A, W, ) are obtained. For the perturbation W * W of a special form, the asymptotics of N(, A, W, ) as + is given. Bibliography: 5 titles.  相似文献

On a measurable space (T, , ) we choose an additive measure: Z (Z is a Banach space) with the following property: for alle , we have ; this measure defines an indefinite integral over the measure onL 2 (T, ,). We prove that if { n (t)} n =1/ is an orthonormal basis inL 2 and n (e)=e n (t) d, then any additive measure: Z whose Radon-Nikodým derivatived/d belongs toL 2 is uniquely expandable in a series(e)= n =1/ n n(e) that converges to(e) uniformly with respect toe can be differentiated term-by-term, and satisfies n =1/ n /2 <. In the caseL 2[0,2],Z=, the Fourier series of a 2-periodic absolutely continuous functionF(t) such thatF'(t) L 2[0, 2] is superuniformly convergent toF(t).Translated fromMatematicheskie Zametki, Vol. 64, No. 2, pp. 180–184, August, 1998.  相似文献

Summary LetB=(B t,t0) be a planar Brownian motion and let >0. For anyt0, the pointz=B t is called a one-sided cone point with angle if there exist >0 and a wedgeW(,z) with vertexz and angle such thatB sW(,z) for everys[t, t+]. Burdzy and Shimura have shown independently that one-sided cone points with angle exist when >/2 but not when   相似文献

Summary This work is devoted to prove the following fact: Suppose that is a nuclear space whose dual is nuclear under the strong topology. IfX is a weakly adapted mapping with values in such that for any,X'() has a modification which is a semimartingale then there exists a unique projective system of Hubert space-valued semimartingales indexed by the Hilbert-Schmidt neighbourhood base of the dual space whose projective limit isX.In the last part we study in detail a semimartingale defined as the convolution of a distribution by a random Dirac measure whose support is determined by the trajectories of a real-valued semimartingale.  相似文献

We shall develop a method to prove inequalities in a unified manner. The idea is as follows: It is quite often possible to find a continuous functional : n , such that the left- and the right-hand side of a given inequality can be written in the form (u)(v) for suitable points,v=v(u). If one now constructs a map n n , which is functional increasing (i.e. for each x n (which is not a fixed point of ) the inequality (x)<((x)) should hold) one specially gets the chain (u)( u))( 2(u))... n (u)). Under quite general conditions one finds that the sequence { n (u)} n converges tov=v(u). As a consequence one obtains the inequality (u)(v).  相似文献

In [4], K. Strambach describes a 2-dimensional stable plane admitting =SL2 as a group of automorphisms such that there exists no -equivarient embedding into a 2-dimensional projective plane. R. Löwen [3] has given a 4-dimensional analogue , admitting =SL2. He posed the question whether there are embeddings of Strambach's plane into . We show that such embeddings exist, in fact we determine all -equivariant embeddings of 2-dimensional stable planes admitting as atransitive group of automorphisms.  相似文献

A relation between Chung's and Strassen's laws of the iterated logarithm   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Summary Let W(t) be a standard Wiener process and let f(x) be a function from the compact class in Strassen's law of the iterated logarithm. We investigate the lim inf behavior of the variable sup ¦W(xT)(2T loglog T)–1/2f(x)¦, 0x1 suitably normalized as T.This extends Chung's result valid for f(x)0, stating that lim inf.[ sup ¦(2T loglogT)–1/2 W(xT)¦(loglog T)–1]=/4 a.s. Given a function: + on a domain spread over an infinite dimensional complex Banach space E with a Schauder basis such that -log is plurisubharmonic and d (d denotes the boundary distance on ) one can find a holomorphic function f: with f, where f is the radius of convergence of f. If, in addition, is locally Lipschitz continuous with constant 1, f can be chosen so that (3M)–1 f, where M is the basis constant of E. In the particular case of E= 1 there are holomorphic functions f on with= f.  相似文献

In this paper equivalent classes of the classes M' and S' p r, p >1, 0,r {0,1,2,...,[]} defined by Sheng [5] are obtained. Then it is shown that the classes of Fourier coefficients S p, S' p(case r==0) and S p(), p>1, defined by . V. Stanojevi, V. B. Stanojevi Sheng and the author of the present note are identical. As a corollary of this result, the L 1-estimate for cosine series, obtained in [10], is refined.  相似文献

We consider a selfadjoint and smooth enough operator-valued functionL() on the segment [a, b]. LetL(a)0,L(b)0, and there exist two positive numbers and such that the inequality |(L()f, f)|< ([a, b] f=1) implies the inequality (L'()f, f)>. Then the functionL() admits a factorizationL()=M()(I-Z) whereM() is a continuous and invertible on [a, b] operator-valued function, and operatorZ is similar to a selfadjoint one. This result was obtained in the first part of the present paper [10] under a stronge conditionL()0 ( [a,b]). For analytic functionL() the result of this paper was obtained in [13].  相似文献

If (P, L) is a projective plane and is a triangle presentation compatible with a point-line correspondence :P L, then gives rise to a group and a thick building of typeà 2 on the vertices of which acts simply transitively. We find all triangle presentations (up to natural equivalence) compatible with some point-line correspondence :P L, when (P, L) is the projective plane of orderq=2 orq=3. For some, but not all, of these , is isomorphic to the building associated withG=PGL(3,K) whereK is a local field with discrete valuation and residual field of orderq. We identify the for which this is the case, and in these cases, find embeddings of intoG. We also describe the arithmetic nature of these groups.  相似文献

This paper deals with group actions of one-dimensional formal groups defined over the ring of integers in a finite extension of the p-adic field, where the space acted upon is the maximal ideal in the ring of integers of an algebraic closure of the p-adic field. Given a formal group F as above, a formal flow is a series (t,x) satisfying the conditions (0,x)=x and (F(s,t),x)=(s,(t,x)). With this definition, any formal group will act on the disk by left translation, but this paper constructs flows with any specified divisor of fixed points, where a point of the open unit disk is a fixed point of order n if (x–) n |((t,x)–x). Furthermore, if is an analytic automorphism of the open unit disk with only finitely many periodic points, then there is a flow , an element of the maximal ideal of the ring of constants, and an integer m such that the m-fold iteration of (x) is equal to (,x). All the formal flows constructed here are actions of the additive formal group on the unit disk. Indeed, if the divisor of fixed points of a formal flow is of degree at least two, then the formal group involved must become isomorphic to the additive group when the base is extended to the residue field of the constant ring.  相似文献

We obtain asymptotic estimates of meromorphic solutions to the differential equationP n (z, , )=P n–1 (z, , ,..., (m) ) in the angular domain P={z: arg z · }. Here Pn(z, w, w) is a polynomial in all variables, and of degree n with respect to w and w; Pn–1(z, w, w, ..., w(m)) is a polynomial in all variables, and of degree n –1 with respect to w, w, ..., w(m) In the particular case, when the solutions are entire functions, these estimates are more precise than the known estimates that are obtained by using the method of Wiman-Valiron, which cannot be applied to meromorphic solutions in the domain P.Translated from Ukrainskii Matematicheskii Zhurnal, Vol. 44, No. 4, pp. 514–523, April, 1992.  相似文献
