The critical behaviors of the trilayer Bethe lattice in the form of spin-(1/2,3/2,1/2) with the exterior two layers consisting of spin-1/2 and the interior one having only spin-3/2 Ising spins are studied in terms of the recursion relations with either ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic bilinear exchange interactions between the nearest-neighbor spins. The ground-state phase diagrams are calculated and it is found that the model presents six different ground state phase configurations. The thermal variations of the order-parameter and free energy are investigated, therefore, topologically different phase diagrams of the model are obtained. It is found that the model exhibits second- and first-order phase transitions, tricritical and bicritical points for the values of the coordination numbers q=3, 4 and 6 and, the reentrant behavior for q=4 and 6, respectively.  相似文献

Finite chains of a two-state random Potts spin model with periodic boundary conditions are studied within Glauber dynamics. The spin exchange is assumed random with frustration between ferro and antiferromagnetic values (±J). Time-dependent fluctuations are induced by periodic temperature oscillations. Master type differential equations for spin correlation functions are solved within linear response theory. The spectrum of relaxation times are calculated at different temperatures. The ±J Potts glass chains undergo a zero temperature phase transition. The barriers against inversion of the spin chain take only two values; 0 and 2|J|. The temperature behaviour of specific heat is characterized by rounded peaks. The frequency dependence displays two plateaus for the real part of specific heat and two corresponding peaks for the imaginary part. The dynamic specific heat is not affected by the longest relaxing mode like susceptibility. The time separation of the modes is demonstrated by the Cole-Cole plots.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of the intermetallic compound Dy2CuIn3 have been investigated. Ac and dc-susceptibility measurements indicate an onset of antiferromagnetic ordering at TN=19.5 K and an additional frequency dependent transition at Tds∼9 K. Neutron diffraction studies confirm the ordered transition at 19.5±1 K. The magnetic unit cell can be described by the propagation vector k=(0.25,0.25,0) with the magnetic moment μ=2.63(4)μB/Dy3+ parallel to the c-axis. Nevertheless, neutron diffraction reveals no additional magnetic phase transition around or below 9 K, which suggests that, at lower temperatures, a spin glass state may be formed in coexistence with the antiferromagnetic mode as a result of frustration and the antagonism between ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic exchange interactions.  相似文献

Applying the diagrammatic technique for the more complicated level scheme of spin-one, two-sublattice systems with biquadratic exchange, the elementary excitations for T ? 0 are obtained: two pairs of spin waves with double degeneracy in both the antiferromagnetic and the ferriquadrupolar phase, and one pair of quadron waves with two-fold degeneracy in the antiferromagnetic state of the system. Analytical expressions are derived for the zero-point contribution to the ground-state energy and the dipole as well as quadrupole reductions in the framework of spin- and quadron-wave theory for antiferromagnetic and ferriquadrupolar phases. The dipole and quadrupole reductions in the antiferromagnetic case for the quadratic lattice are discussed in more detail. In the calculations use has been made of the (1/z)1 approximation, where z is the number of spins interacting with any given spin.  相似文献

The magnetization behavior of q-periodic antiferromagnetic spin- 1/2 Heisenberg chains under uniform magnetic fields is investigated in a background of disorder exchange distributions. By means of both real space decimation procedures and numerical diagonalizations in XX chains, it is found that for binary disorder the magnetization exhibits wide plateaus at values of 1+2(p-1)/q, where p is the disorder strength. In contrast, no spin gaps are observed in the presence of continuous exchange distributions. We also study the magnetic susceptibility at low magnetic fields.  相似文献

The phase diagrams and compensation behaviors of mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 Blume-Capel model in a trimodal magnetic field are investigated in the framework of the effective field theory on simple cubic lattice. The change of negative crystal field and trimodal concentration can affect the TCP, the second-order phase and the magnetic field degeneration at ground state in T-H space. In T-D space, the trajectory of the TCP takes on the acre curve and there exist the two TCPs under certain condition. In addition to giving one or two compensation temperature points in M-T space, the mixed spin Blume-Capel model also provides one or two novel compensation magnetic field points in M-H space. Some results are not revealed in previous works.  相似文献

The eigenstates of the antiferromagnetic spin cluster Fe6(tea)6 are studied by electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy at 9.5 and 94 GHz in order to characterize the interactions which are important for the magnetic properties of the molecule. Experimental results could be obtained for the first excited spin states withS= 1, 2, 3 and 4. This enables a very accurate and detailed analysis of the intramolecular interactions. It turns out that the magnetic properties of Fe6(tea)6 are determined by the isotropic exchange (J/kB = ?31.5 K), the ligand-field interaction of the FeIII ions and the dipolar interaction. Other kinds of anisotropic interactions are of minor importance.  相似文献

The promotion of collinear classical spin configurations as well as the enhanced tendencytowards nearest-neighbor clustering of the quantum spins are typical features of thefrustrating isotropic three-body exchange interactions in Heisenberg spin systems. Basedon numerical density-matrix renormalization group calculations, we demonstrate that theseextra interactions in the Heisenberg chain constructed from alternating S = 3/2 and σ = 1/2 site spins can generate numerous specific quantum spinstates, including some partially-polarized ferrimagnetic states as well as adoubly-degenerate non-magnetic gapped phase. In the non-magnetic region of the phasediagram, the model describes a crossover between the spin-1 and spin-2 Haldane-typestates.  相似文献

In this paper we use the Monte Carlo simulations to investigate the magnetic properties of an Ising ferromagnetic–antiferromagnetic model. The system is based on a nano-graphene structure-like bilayer with two bloc sizes: N=24 and 42 spins. For each size N, the upper layer A is formed with spin −3/2, whereas the lower layer B is composed of spin −5/2. We only consider the first nearest-neighbor interactions between the sites i and j. The magnetic properties are studied, in the absence as well as in the presence of a crystal magnetic field, and an external magnetic field. The increasing temperature and crystal field as well as the inter-layer coupling constant, are also studied for this system sizes N=24 and 42 spins. The zero-field-cooled and the field cooled magnetization behaviors are investigated for different values of external magnetic field and a fixed value of exchange interaction between the two blocs. The magnetizations as well as the magnetic susceptibilities versus the temperature are used in order to obtain blocking temperature.  相似文献

对含有次近邻节点自旋交换耦合的自旋-1/2伊辛-海森伯钻石链体系进行了研究,利用矩阵对角化和传递矩阵方法对基态磁相和宏观热力学量进行了严格求解,重点探讨了所有交换耦合均为反铁磁耦合时,体系节点伊辛自旋间次近邻相互作用的影响.研究结果表明次近邻节点伊辛自旋存在反铁磁耦合时会增强系统的阻挫效应,引入破坏平移对称性的经典亚铁磁相,使基态呈现出上上上下上上的自旋构型以及磁化曲线新颖的2/3磁化平台,丰富了体系的基态相图和宏观磁性行为.  相似文献

Nickel oxide nanoparticles successfully synthesized by a polymer precursor method are studied in this work. The analysis of X-ray powder diffraction data provides a mean crystallite size of 22±2 nm which is in a good agreement with the mean size estimated from transmission electron microscopy images. Whereas the magnetization (M) vs. magnetic field (H) curve obtained at 5 K is consistent with a ferromagnetic component which coexists with an antiferromagnetic component, the presence of two peaks in the zero-field-cooled trace suggests the occurrence of two blocking process. The broad maximum at high temperature was associated with the thermal relaxation of uncompensated spins at the particle core and the low temperature peak was assigned to the freeze of surface spins clusters. Static and dynamic magnetic results suggest that the correlations of surface spins clusters show a spin-glass-like behavior below Tg=7.3±0.1 K with critical exponents zν=9.7±0.5 and β=0.7±0.1, which are consistent with typical values reported for spin-glass systems.  相似文献

The cause for the ordered magnetic structure of Cu2MnSnS4 below TN=8.8 K was examined by evaluating the spin exchange interactions on the basis of density functional electronic structure calculations. The Mn–S…S–Mn super-superexchange interactions of Cu2MnSnS4 are all calculated to be antiferromagnetic. In the (2a, b, 2c) magnetic superstructure observed from the neutron diffraction, only one spin exchange contributes to the energy lowering. This makes the (2a, b, c) antiferromagnetic superstructure identical in energy with the (2a, b, 2c) antiferromagnetic superstructure, implying that the magnetic Bragg peaks of Cu2MnSnS4 below TN have contributions from both (2a, b, c) and (2a, b, 2c) superstructures.  相似文献

The spin exchange interactions of the triangular spin tube system CsCrF4 were evaluated by performing mapping analysis on the basis of density functional theory calculations. Our results show that the exchange J1 for the triangular ring and the exchange J2 along the chain are both antiferromagnetic with the ratio J1/J2≈0.5, so the spin gap of CsCrF4 is too small to be experimentally detected. This finding is consistent with the experimental observation and theoretical analysis. The possible ways of preparing a triangular spin tube with observable spin gap was discussed.  相似文献

The manganates Sr4Mn3−xCrxO10 (x=0 and 0.2) have been synthesized by solid state reaction. Powder X-ray diffraction analysis shows orthorhombic symmetry with space group Cmca for both compounds. The magnetic susceptibility measurements show an antiferromagnetic transition at 192 and 176 K for x=0 and 0.2, respectively. The magnetic susceptibility data were estimated using a model based on spin exchange antiferromagnetic interactions in isolated (Mn4+) trimer; a paramagnetic contribution due to the chromium ions was added in the case of Cr-doped materials.  相似文献

The antiferromagnetic spin-1/2 Ising model on the pure Husimi lattice with three sites in the elementary polygon (p=3p=3) and the coordination number z=6z=6 is investigated which represents the simplest approximation of the antiferromagnetic Ising model on the regular triangular lattice which takes into account effects of geometric frustration. The region of parameters is found in which two physical phases coexist. In addition, the existence of the first order phase transitions between these two coexisting phases is demonstrated and investigated in detail. A detailed analysis of the magnetization properties of the model is performed and the existence of the magnetization plateaus for low temperatures is shown. All possible ground states of the model are found and discussed.  相似文献

We study the ground-state properties of frustrated Heisenberg ferrimagnetic ladders with antiferromagnetic exchange interactions and two types of alternating sublattice spins. In the limit of strong rung couplings, we show that the mixed spin-1/2 and spin-1 ladders can be systematically mapped onto a spin-1/2 Heisenberg model with additional next-nearest-neighbor exchanges. The system is either in a ferrimagnetic state or in a critical spin-liquid state depending on the competition between the spin exchanges along the legs and the diagonal exchanges.  相似文献

The spin-1/2 antiferromagnetic and spin-(1/2, 1) ferrimagnetic single-walled nanotubes are described by XXZ Heisenberg model. The sublattice magnetization and the critical temperature of the system are calculated by using the double-time spin Green's function method. At zero temperature, with the increase of the exchange interaction in the circumferential direction, a maximum value appears in the sublattice magnetization curves of antiferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic systems. As the diameter of the tube increases, the spin quantum fluctuations and thermal fluctuations are suppressed. In addition, the spin quantum fluctuation of the spin-1/2 antiferromagnetic system is greater than that of the spin-(1/2, 1) ferrimagnetic system. The critical temperature of the system increases firstly and then tends to a constant with the increase of the diameter of tube, and it decreases to zero as the exchange anisotropy of the system disappears.  相似文献

The magnetic behavior of polycrystalline yttrium orthoferrite was studied from the experimental and theoretical points of view. Magnetization measurements up to 170 kOe were carried out on a single-phase YFeO3 sample synthesized from heterobimetallic alkoxides. The complex interplay between weak-ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions, observed in the experimental M(H) curves, was successfully simulated by locally minimizing the magnetic energy of two interacting Fe sublattices. The resulting values of exchange field (HE=5590 kOe), anisotropy field (HA=0.5 kOe) and Dzyaloshinsky–Moriya antisymmetric field (HD=149 kOe) are in good agreement with previous reports on this system.  相似文献
