It is proved that the shape of the typical cell of a Delaunay tessellation, derived from a stationary Poisson point process in d-dimensional Euclidean space, tends to the shape of a regular simplex, given that the volume of the typical cell tends to infinity. This follows from an estimate for the probability that the typical cell deviates by a given amount from regularity, given that its volume is large. For the self-normalized sum, , it is shown that converges to 1, uniformly in a region, under the optimal assumption that the sampled distribution is in the domain of attraction of the normal law. Let f be a holomorphic endomorphism of ?? k . We construct by using coding techniques a class of ergodic measures as limits of non-uniform probability measures on preimages of points. We show that they have large metric entropy, close to log d k . We establish for them strong stochastic properties and prove the positivity of their Lyapunov exponents. Since they have large entropy, those measures are supported in the support of the maximal entropy measure of f. They in particular provide lower bounds for the Hausdorff dimension of the Julia set.  相似文献

This work develops an algorithm for global optimization.The algorithm is of gradient ascent typeand uses random perturbations.In contrast to the annealing type procedurcs,the perturbation noise intensityis large.We demonstrate that by properly varying the noise intensity,approximations to the global maximumcan be achieved.We also show that the expected time to reach the domain of attraction of the global maximum,which can be approximated by the solution of a boundary value problem,is finite.Discrete-time algorithmsare proposed;recursive algorithms with occasional perturbations involving large noise intensity are developed.Numerical examples are provided for illustration.  相似文献

We consider the problem of large deviations for a two-time-scale reflected diffusion process, possibly with delays in the dynamical terms. The Dupuis-Ellis weak convergence approach is used. It is perhaps the most intuitive and simplest for the problems of concern. We propose a new way to condition random trees, that is, conditioning random trees to have large maximal outdegree. Under this conditioning, we show that conditioned critical Galton–Watson trees converge locally to size-biased trees with a unique infinite spine. For the subcritical case, we obtain the local convergence to size-biased trees with a unique infinite node. We also study the tail of the maximal outdegree of subcritical Galton–Watson trees, which is essential for the proof of the local convergence.  相似文献
