Based on the vectorial Rayleigh--Sommerfeld integral formulae, this paper derives the analytical nonparaxial propagation equation of a super-Lorentz--Gauss (SLG) SLG01 mode beam in free space. The far field expression and the scalar paraxial result are treated with special cases of the general formulae. According to the obtained analytical representation, the nonparaxial propagation properties of the SLG01 mode beam are illustrated and analysed with numerical examples. This research provides an approach to investigate the propagation of the SLG01 mode beam within the framework of the nonparaxial regime.  相似文献

运用非傍轴光束传输的矢量矩理论,对非傍轴矢量高斯光束的传输特性进行了系统的研究.结果表明,基于二阶矩定义的横向光束宽度在光束传播过程中满足简单的双曲线变化规律,并且给出了光束传输因子的解析表达式.就高度非傍轴情形,进一步给出了简洁的计算公式,在高斯光源线度趋向零的极限情形下,横向的最大发散角为90°.同时,还推广到了傍轴情形,得到了与原有傍轴公式稍有区别的结果,而且光束传输因子始终保持略大于1最后,对非傍轴矢量高斯光束和非傍轴标量高斯光束的传输进行了比较,结果显示对于线度在两个波长范围之内的高斯光源发散 关键词: 矢量高斯光束 光束传输 非傍轴 二阶矩  相似文献

The concept of vectorial partially coherent flat-topped beams is proposed, and their nonparaxial propagation in free space is studied in detail. Based on the vector Rayleigh diffraction integral formulae, the analytical propagation expressions for the cross-spectral density matrix of the polarized vectorial nonparaxial partially coherent flat-topped beams are derived and applied to study the nonparaxial propagation properties of vectorial partially coherent flat-topped beams. The effect of propagation parameters on the intensity and the coherence property of the nonparaxial vectorial partially coherent flat-topped beam is illustrated and analyzed comparatively with the corresponding paraxial results.  相似文献

With the help of a tensor method, an analytical nonparaxial propagation formula for a twisted anisotropic Gaussian Schell-model (GSM) beam in free space is derived based on the generalized Raleigh-Sommerfeld diffraction integral. The far-field nonparaxial propagation expression for a twisted anisotropic GSM beam is also derived. The paraxial approximation is dealt with as a special case of our general result. Our numerical results show that the nonparaxial propagation properties of a twisted anisotropic GSM beam are closely related to the initial beam parameters (i.e., twist factor, transverse spot width matrix, coherence width matrix and wavelength) and the propagation distance. Our formulae provide a convenient and powerful way for studying the paraxial and nonparaxial propagation of an isotropic or anisotropic GSM beam with or without twist phase in free space.  相似文献

The super Lorentz–Gaussian (SLG) modes has been introduced to describe the radiation emitted by the multi-mode diode lasers. Here the propagation properties of SLG modes in turbulent atmosphere are investigated. Based on the extended Huygens–Fresnel integral and the Hermite–Gaussian expansion of a Lorentzian function, analytical formulae for the average intensities and the effective beam sizes of SLG01 and SLG11 modes are derived in turbulent atmosphere. The average intensity distribution and the spreading properties of SLG01 and SLG11 modes in turbulent atmosphere are numerically demonstrated. The influences of the beam parameters and the structure constant of the atmospheric turbulence on the propagation of SLG01 and SLG11 modes in turbulent atmosphere are also discussed in detail.  相似文献

Based on the vectorial Rayleigh--Sommerfeld integral formula and the complex Gaussian expansion of the hard-edge aperture function, an analytical propagation expression for a nonparaxial vectorial off-axis Lorentz beam passing through a rectangular aperture is derived. The unapertured case, the far field expression and the scalar paraxial result are also presented as special cases of the general formulae, respectively. Some numerical examples are also given to show the propagation characteristics of a nonparaxial vectorial off-axis Lorentz beam through a rectangular aperture. It is indicated that the f parameter, the off-axis displacement and the truncation parameter all play an important role in determining nonparaxial propagation behaviour.  相似文献

Analytical propagation expression of a super Lorentz-Gauss(SLG) 01 mode in uniaxial crystal orthogonal to the optical axis is derived.The SLG 01 mode propagating in uniaxial crystal orthogonal to the optical axis mainly depends on the ratio of the extraordinary refractive index to the ordinary refractive index.The SLG 01 mode propagating in uniaxial crystals becomes an astigmatic beam.The beam spot of the SLG 01 mode in the uniaxial crystal is elongated in the x-or y-direction,which is determined by the ratio of the extraordinary refractive index to the ordinary refractive index.With the increase of the deviation of the ratio of the extraordinary refractive index to the ordinary refractive index from unity,the elongation of the beam spot also augments.In different observation planes,the phase distribution of an SLG 01 mode in the uniaxial crystal takes on different shapes.With the variation of the ratio of the extraordinary refractive index to the ordinary refractive index,the phase distribution is elongated in one transversal direction and is contracted in the other perpendicular direction.This research is beneficial to the practical applications of an SLG mode.  相似文献

The propagation characteristics of TM polarized Gaussian beam, which is the rigorous solution of an eigenfunction problem for a confocal resonator, have been investigated using the nonparaxial vectorial moment theory of light beam propagation. The analytical expressions of the beam propagation factors are given by means of Fourier transform. Both the transversal second-order moment beam widths follow a simple hyperbolic variational law. For nonparaxial case, however, beam has different propagating features in the two transversal directions. As to paraxial case, its propagation approximately reduces to that of scalar Gaussian beam TEM00 mode.  相似文献

Starting from the vectorial Rayleigh diffraction integrals, the nonparaxial propagation of vectorial Gaussian beams through an annular aperture is studied. The analytical propagation expressions are derived, which permit us to treat the on-axis field and far field of vectorial nonparaxial Gaussian beams diffracted at the annular aperture, the nonparaxial diffraction at a circular aperture and a circular disc as our special cases in a unified way. The validity of our treatment is confirmed by direct numerical integration of the Rayleigh formulae. It is shown that the f-parameter and annular obscuration affect the beam nonparaxiality in the case of diffraction at the annular aperture.  相似文献

The polarization properties of nonparaxial partially polarized Gaussian Schell-model (PGSM) beams are studied. Based on the beam coherence-polarization matrix, the propagation formula of the degree of polarization for the nonparaxial PGSM beams is derived. The paraxial approximation is dealt with as special cases of our general results. Some conditions that limit the choice of the parameters are established. The sufficiency condition of polarization invariance in propagation for the nonparaxial PGSM beams is derived. By using the derived formulae, the propagation properties of the degree of polarization for the nonparaxial PGSM beam in free space are illustrated and analyzed with numerical examples.  引入了一簇互相正交的超洛伦兹-高斯光束以描述半导体激光器所产生的大角度高阶模远场分布。将分数傅里叶变换应用于超洛伦兹-高斯光束SLG­11模的传输特性的研究中。利用傅里叶变换的卷积原理,导出了SLG11模经分数傅里叶变换系统后场分布的解析表达式。根据所得到的公式进行了数值计算,系统分析了分数傅里叶变换阶数和光束各参数对SLG11模在分数傅里叶变换面上光强分布的影响。结果显示:SLG11模在分数傅里叶变换面上的归一化强度分布随分数傅里叶变换的阶数呈周期性变化,周期为2;随着光束参数的增大,SLG11模在分数傅里叶变换面上的光斑尺寸增大。  相似文献

Exact analytical structurally stable solutions of the Maxwell equations for singular mode beams propagating in free space or a uniform isotropic medium are obtained. Approximate boundary conditions are chosen in the form of the requirement that in the paraxial approximation the fields of nonparaxial mode beams in the waist plane are transformed into the fields of eigenmodes and vortices of weakly guiding optical fibers with the axial symmetry of refractive index. It is shown that optical vortices, in spite of a rather complex structure of field distribution, do not experience substantial changes in the beam form and reproduce, in general features, the field of paraxial vortices. Linear perturbations of the characteristic parameters of mode beams do not change the structure of their electromagnetic field. Nonparaxial singular beams have one more important property, in addition to the fact that the structure of these beams in the paraxial approximation is similar to the structure of the fields of eigenmodes in a fiber. The propagation constants of eigenmodes of a fiber exactly coincide (in the first approximation of perturbation theory) with the projection of the wave vector of a mode beam on the optical axis (an analog of the propagation constant). The possibility of the paraxial transition for nonparaxial mode beams with arbitrary values of azimuthal and radial indices is shown. The properties of nonparaxial modes are illustrated by numerous examples. The solutions obtained and the results of their analysis can be used for exact matching optical fibers and laser beams in various applications.  相似文献

By using the vectorial Rayleigh diffraction integrals, a nonparaxial propagation equation of vectorial plane waves diffracted at a small rectangular aperture is derived analytically and some special cases are discussed. Numerical calculation results are given to illustrate the applicability and validity of our theoretical formulae. It is shown that for the apertured case the ratio of the aperture width and wavelength affects the beam nonparaxiality. The nonparaxial approach presented in this paper has to be used for diffracted plane waves if the aperture width is comparable with or less than the wavelength.  相似文献

基于Porras提出的光传输的非傍轴矢量矩理论,推导出初始圆偏振的非傍轴矢量拉盖尔-高斯(LG)光束的特征参数,包括束宽、远场发散角和M2因子等的公式,并表示为级数求和形式.非傍轴矢量高斯光束公式作为特例给出.研究表明,基于二阶矩定义的束宽按双曲线规律传输,当w0/λ→0(w0为束宽,λ为波长)时,远场发散角θ趋于90°,大于非傍轴标量理论预示的值63.435°.非傍轴矢量LG光束的M2因子不仅与模指数p有关,而且还与w0/λ有关.最后,对非傍轴矢量LG光束和非傍轴标量LG光束的传输作了比较,结果表明在w0/λ较小时,矢量效应对远场发散角的影响十分显著.对θ→90°引起的问题和非傍轴矢量矩理论的适用范围,以及解决问题的可能途径作了分析和讨论. 关键词: 非傍轴矢量拉盖尔-高斯光束 圆偏振 非傍轴矢量矩理论 光束参数  相似文献
