Complexes (C6F5)2CoL2 (L2 = 2 PEt3, 2 P-Bu3, 2 PPh3, Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2) have been obtained by adding the relevant ligands to solutions of (C6F5)2Co(dioxane)2. The cis and trans isomers have been separated and identified for the complexes having L = PEt3 or PnBu3. Structural and chemical behaviour for all the complexes is described.  相似文献

The N,N-dimethylbiguanide (HDMBG) complexes [Cu2(HDMBG)2Cl4] (1) and respectively [Cu(HDMBG)2]Cl2·2H2O (2) exhibit in vitro antimicrobial activity. The complexes were characterised by IR, electronic as well as EPR spectra. The IR spectra of complexes show the pattern of N,N-dimethylbiguanide coordinated as chelate. The electronic and EPR data are in agreement with a square pyramidal stereochemistry for (1) and a square planar one for (2). The in vitro qualitative and quantitative antimicrobial activity assays showed that the complexes exhibited variable antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative strains (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp. and Enterobacter sp.) isolated from the hospital environment. The thermal analysis has evidenced the thermal intervals of stability and also the thermodynamic effects that accompany them. The thermal behaviour in nitrogen is complex according to TG and DTA curves including melting, dehydration as well as compounds decomposition.  相似文献

The ruthenium(II) complexes [Ru(R)(κ(2)-S(2)C·IPr)(CO)(PPh(3))(2)](+) (R = CH=CHBu(t), CH=CHC(6)H(4)Me-4, C(C≡CPh)=CHPh) are formed on reaction of IPr·CS(2) with [Ru(R)Cl(CO)(BTD)(PPh(3))(2)] (BTD = 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole) or [Ru(C(C≡CPh)=CHPh)Cl(CO)(PPh(3))(2)] in the presence of ammonium hexafluorophosphate. Similarly, the complexes [Ru(CH=CHC(6)H(4)Me-4)(κ(2)-S(2)C·ICy)(CO)(PPh(3))(2)](+) and [Ru(C(C≡CPh)=CHPh)(κ(2)-S(2)C·ICy)(CO)(PPh(3))(2)](+) are formed in the same manner when ICy·CS(2) is employed. The ligand IMes·CS(2) reacts with [Ru(R)Cl(CO)(BTD)(PPh(3))(2)] to form the compounds [Ru(R)(κ(2)-S(2)C·IMes)(CO)(PPh(3))(2)](+) (R = CH=CHBu(t), CH=CHC(6)H(4)Me-4, C(C≡CPh)=CHPh). Two osmium analogues, [Os(CH=CHC(6)H(4)Me-4)(κ(2)-S(2)C·IMes)(CO)(PPh(3))(2)](+) and [Os(C(C≡CPh)=CHPh)(κ(2)-S(2)C·IMes)(CO)(PPh(3))(2)](+) were also prepared. When the more bulky diisopropylphenyl derivative IDip·CS(2) is used, an unusual product, [Ru(κ(2)-SC(H)S(CH=CHC(6)H(4)Me-4)·IDip)Cl(CO)(PPh(3))(2)](+), with a migrated vinyl group, is obtained. Over extended reaction times, [Ru(CH=CHC(6)H(4)Me-4)Cl(BTD)(CO)(PPh(3))(2)] also reacts with IMes·CS(2) and NH(4)PF(6) to yield the analogous product [Ru{κ(2)-SC(H)S(CH=CHC(6)H(4)Me-4)·IMes}Cl(CO)(PPh(3))(2)](+)via the intermediate [Ru(CH=CHC(6)H(4)Me-4)(κ(2)-S(2)C·IMes)(CO)(PPh(3))(2)](+). Structural studies are reported for [Ru(CH=CHC(6)H(4)Me-4)(κ(2)-S(2)C·IPr)(CO)(PPh(3))(2)]PF(6) and [Ru(C(C≡CPh)=CHPh)(κ(2)-S(2)C·ICy)(CO)(PPh(3))(2)]PF(6).  相似文献

Summary A series of manganese(II) spin-free complexes of the type: MnLn Cl2 [L =N-Methylimidazole (MeIm), n = 1,2,3,6; L =N-ethylimidazole (EtIm), n = 4], MnLnBr2 (L = MeIm, n = 2, 4, 6; L = EtIm, n = 4, 6), MnLnI2 (L = MeIm, n = 4, 6; L = EtIm, n = 6), MnLn(NCS)2 (L = MeIm, n = 3, 4; L = EtIm, n = 4), MnL6X2 (L = MeIm, EtIm; X = NO3, ClO4, BF4); (Me4N)(MnLCl3)(L = MeIm, EtIm); (Et4N)[Mn(MeIm)Br3] and Mn(MeIm)2(N3)2 · 5 H2O were prepared and characterized. Reactions of cymantrenecarboxylic acid (CO)3MnC5H4COOH (CymCOOH) with Ni(II) and Co(II) pivalates in boiling THF followed by extraction of the products with diethyl ether or benzene and treatment with triphenylphosphine gave the binuclear complexes LM(CymCOO)4ML (M = Ni (I) and Co (II); L = PPh3). Treatment of the benzene extract of the intermediate cobalt cymantrenecarboxylate with 2,6-lutidine (L’) yielded the trinuclear complex L’Co(CymCOO)3Co(CymCOO)3CoL’ (III). Complex I is antiferromagnetic; μeff decreases from 3.7 to 0.9 μB in a temperature range from 300 to 2 K. Structures I-III were identified using X-ray diffraction. The frameworks of complexes I and II are like Chinese lanterns, having four carboxylate bridges and axial ligands L (Ni-P, 2.358(1) Å; Co-P, 2.412(2) Å). The metal atoms are not bonded to each other (Ni…Ni, 2.7583(9) Å; Co…Co, 2808 (2) Å). In complex III, either terminal Co atom is coordinated to one ligand L’ (Co-N, 2.059(2) Å). The Co atoms form a linear chain showing no M-M bonds (Co…Co, 3.346(1) Å), in which either terminal Co atom is linked with the central Co atom by three carboxylate bridges (on average, Cocentr-O, 2.164 Å; COterm-O, 2.094 Å). In one of three carboxylate groups, only one carboxylate O atom serves as a bridge, while the other is bonded to the terminal Co atom only (Coterm-O, 2.094 and 2.389 Å); so this carboxylate group is a bridging and chelating ligand.  相似文献

Summary Nickel(II) and cobalt(II) complexes of rhodanine (Hrd) were prepared from the metal chloride or acetate and the ligand. With an excess of NH3, the octahedral [Ni(NH3)6](Rd)2 and [Co(NH3)5Rd]Rd complexes are ob-tained; use of only two NH3 equivalents per metal ion yields the Ni(Rd)2 sd HRd · NH3 and [Co(Rd)2 ] · 1.5 H2O complexes, the first with tetragonally distorted hexacoordination and the second with polymeric octahedral coordination. By using two equivalents of NaOH per metal ion, the binuclear [Ni(Rd)2][Ni(Rd)2 · (HRd)2] · 2 H2O complex is formed having one diamagnetic planar and one high spin octahedral chromophore. Rhodanine is coordinated through the thiocarbonylic sulphur in the neutral form and through the thiocarbonylic sulphur and the deprotanated nitrogen atoms in the rhodanidato anionic form.  相似文献

Synthesis, spectral and solution studies on 2-ethyl imidazolate-bridged (2-EtIm) homo-binuclear copper(II)-copper(II) and hetero-binuclear copper(II)-zinc(II) homologue are described. Magnetic moment values of homo-binuclear complexes indicate that the imidazolate group can mediate antiferromagnetic interactions. Optical spectra of hetero-binuclear complex at varying pH values suggest that the imidazolate-bridged complex is stable over the pH-range 7.15–10.0.  相似文献

Summary Mono(chelato)mono(alkoxo)nickel(II) complexes of the general formula, Ni(OR)(dk) (R = Me, i-Pr and dk = acac, bazac, dbzm and tta) have been synthesized by the reactions of nickel alkoxides, Ni(OR)2(R = Me and i-Pr) with acetylacetone (Hacac), benzoylacetone (Hbzac), dibenzoylmethane (Hdbzm) and 2-thienoyltrifluoroacetone (Htta). These derivatives interchange their alkoxy groups quantitatively with other alcohols. Ni(II) and Cu(II) metal complexes of simple unsymmetrical Schiff-base ligands derived from salicylaldehyde/5-methylsalicylaldehyde and ethylenediamine or diaminomaleonitrile (DMN) were synthesized. The ligands and their complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, 1H NMR, FT IR, and mass spectroscopy. The electronic spectra of the complexes show d–d transitions in the region at 450–600 nm. Electrochemical studies of the complexes reveal that all mononuclear complexes show a one-electron quasi-reversible reduction wave in the cathodic region. ESR spectra of the mononuclear copper(II) complexes show four lines, characteristic of square-planar geometry, with nuclear hyperfine spin 3/2. The copper(II) complexes show a normal room temperature magnetic moment value μ eff = 1.70–1.74 BM which is close to the spin only value of 1.73 BM. Kinetic studies on the oxidation of pyrocatechol to o-quinone using the copper(II) complexes as catalysts were also carried out. The in vitro antimicrobial activity of the investigated compounds was tested against human pathogenic bacterias such as Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Klebsiella pneumonia, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli. The antifungal activity was tested against Candida albicans. Generally, the metal complexes have higher antimicrobial activity than the free ligands.  相似文献

Summary The reaction of warm alcoholic solutions of acetates of CoII, MnII, ZnII and NiII with 2, 6-diacetylpyridine andS-methylisothiosemicarbazide hydrogen iodide yielded the complexes: [Co(H2L)I2]·H2O, [Mn(H2L)(MeOH)2]I2, [Zn(H2L)(MeOH)I]I and [Ni(HL)]I, (H2L=the pentadentate pentaaza-ligand 2, 6-diacetylpyridine bis(S-methylisothiosemicarbazone)). The reaction of methanolic solutions of [Ni(HL)]I and NH4NCS or LiOAc.2H2O, give [Ni(HL)]NCS and NiL, respectively. For the complexes of CoII, MnII and ZnII, a pentagonal bipyramidal configuration is proposed, with H2L in the equatorial plane and two unidentate ligands (I and/or MeOH) in the axial positions. The complexes [Ni(HL)]X (X=I or NCS) and NiL probably have monomeric five- and dimeric six-coordinate structures, respectively, in which only the chelate ligand is involved in coordination.  相似文献

Summary Complexes of the type M(AcLeu)2 · B2 (M = CoII, NiII or ZnII; B = H2O, py, 3-pic, 4-pic; AcLeu =N-acetyl-DL-leucinate ion) and M(AcLeu)2 B (M = CoII or ZnII and B = o-phen) were prepared and investigated by means of magnetic and spectroscopic measurements. The i.r. spectra of all the complexes are consistent with bidentate coordination of the amino acid to the metal ion. The room temperature solid state electronic spectra indicate that the symmetry of this species is closer toD 4h and that MO6 and MO4N2 chromophores are present in the M(AcLeu)2 · 2 H2O and M(AcLeu)2Bn · x H2O (B = py, 3-pic, 4-pic, n=2 and x=0 for M = NiII; B = o-phen, n=1 and x=0 for M = CoII; B = py, 3-pic, 4-pic, n=1 and x=1 for M = CoII) complexes, respectively. By comparing the Dq values of the amino acid and those of other N-substituted amino acids previously studied, a spectrochemical series of the the cobalt(II) and nickel(II) complexes is proposed. The1 H n.m.r. spectra of the zinc(II) complexes confirm the proposed stereochemistry.  相似文献

The Ni(II), Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes of 2,4-diamino-5-(3,4,5-trimethoxybenzyl)pyrimidine (trimethoprim) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, electronic and IR spectroscopy, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The single-crystal X-ray structure of the Ni(II) complex is reported. Ni(II) is coordinated to the N(1) atoms of two trimethoprim molecules that act as monodentates. Octahedral coordination around the nickel atom is completed by coordination to two molecules of methanol and two acetate ions. Pd(II) and Pt(II) complexes are square planar and the metal ions coordinate one molecule of trimethoprim, two chloride ions and a molecule of water.  相似文献

The zerovalent carbyneosmium complex, OsCl(CC6H4NMe2)(CO)(PPh3)2, reacts with molecular oxygen giving a 1/1 adduct which is formulated as a divalent, octahedral complex retaining the unchanged carbyne ligand, and with a dihapto-peroxycarbonyl ligand, Os(O2CO)Cl(CC6H4NMe2)(PPh3(2. Reaction with HCl liberates CO2 and forms [OsCl2(CC6H4NMe2)(H2O)(PPh3)2]+ from which have been derived, and structurally characterised by X-ray crystallography, the two octahedral complexes, OsCl2(NCS)(CC6H4NMe2)(PPh3)2 and [OsCl2(CC6H4NMe2)(CNR)(PPh3)2]+. Summary Studies on the chelates of cobalt(II) with the bidentate ligands 1,4-diphenyl(2,3-dimethyl-1,4-diazabutadiene) (PMB) and 1,4-di(p-methoxyphenyl)-2,3-dimethyl-1,4-diazabutadiene (MPMB) have been carried out. On the basis of elemental analyses, the complexes are [Co(PMB)Cl2], [Co(PMB)2(C1O4)2], [Co(MPMB)Cl2] and [Co(MPMB)2(ClO4)2].Both ligands are bidentatevia nitrogen atoms in all the complexes. The magnetic susceptibility and i.r. and u.v.-visible spectra are reported and discussed. The chloro-compounds involving two chlorine ligands and, in the perchlorate compounds, the ClO 4 groups are bound to the cobalt(II) centre.  相似文献

Platinum(II) and palladium(II) complexes of the trithiacrown [9]aneS(3) containing a range of Group 15 donors are reviewed. These complexes have the general formula [M([9]aneS(3))(L(2))](n+) where L represents at least one Group 15 donor. Complexes involving pnictogens, with the exception of bismuth, are observed. The complexes generally have an elongated square pyramidal geometry with a long distance interaction to the third sulphur of the [9]aneS(3) which forms the apex of the square pyramid. This axial metal-sulphur distance is quite sensitive to the donor properties of L. Poorer donors such as Sb and As ligands show short axial distances whereas the better N donor ligands show longer distances. Pt(II) complexes of the formula [Pt([9]aneS(3))(EPh(3))(2)](2+) (E = P, As, Sb) show a considerable distortion towards a trigonal bipyramidal geometry due to intramolecular π-π interactions. Over seventy of these types of complexes have been crystallographically characterized and are discussed in this article. Other unique features of the complexes, including NMR spectroscopy, redox chemistry, and electronic spectroscopy, are also discussed.  相似文献
