In this paper, we consider a four-waves coupled system which describes the interaction between particles. Based on the uniform bound and strong convergence property in lower order norm, local existence and uniqueness of smooth solution is established by a limiting argument. Moreover, we show the solution exists globally in two dimensional case under certain condition on the size for $L^2$ norm of the initial data.  相似文献

The well-known theorem of T. Yamada and S. Watanabe asserts that (weak) existence and pathwise uniqueness of the solution of a stochastic equation implies the existence of a strong solution. This is the most powerful tool for proving that a stochastic equation possesses a strong solution. However, pathwise uniqueness is far from being a necessary condition for this. Even if the solution is not unique in law it is also of interest to ask for strong solutions. In the present note, we will discuss in more detail the connection between pathwise uniqueness and the existence of a strong solution. We will state a condition which is not only sufficient but also necessary for the existence of a strong solution.  相似文献

This article deals with a fluid–particle interaction model for the evolution of particles dispersed in a fluid. The fluid flow is governed by the Navier–Stokes equations for a compressible fluid while the evolution of the particle densities is given by the Smoluchowski equation. The coupling between the dispersed and dense phases is obtained through the drag forces that the fluid and the particles exert mutually. The existence of weakly dissipative solutions is established under reasonable physical assumptions on the initial data, the physical domain, and the external potential. Furthermore, a weak–strong uniqueness result is established via the relative entropy method yielding that a weakly dissipative solution agrees with a classical solution with the same initial data when such a classical solution exists.  相似文献

We investigate the Cauchy problem for the Vlasov–Poisson system with radiation damping.By virtue of energy estimate and a refined velocity average lemma, we establish the global existence of nonnegative weak solution and asymptotic behavior under the condition that initial data have finite mass and energy. Furthermore, by building a Gronwall inequality about the distance between the Lagrangian flows associated to the weak solutions, we can prove the uniqueness of weak solution when the initial data have a higher order velocity moment.  相似文献

We consider the local well-posedness of strong and classical solutions to the three-dimensional barotropic compressible Navier-Stokes equations with density containing vacuum initially. We first prove the local existence and uniqueness of the strong solutions, where the initial compatibility condition proposed by Cho et al.(2004), Cho and Kim(2006) and Choe and Kim(2003) is removed in a suitable sense. Then the continuous dependence of strong solutions on the initial data is derived under an additional compatibility condition. Moreover, for the initial data satisfying some additional regularity and the compatibility condition,the strong solution is proved to be a classical one.  相似文献

The authors prove two global existence results of strong solutions of the isentropic compressible Navier-Stokes-Poisson equations in one-dimensional bounded intervals. The first result shows only the existence. And the second one shows the existence and uniqueness result based on the first result, but the uniqueness requires some compatibility condition. We study a class of compressible non‐Newtonian fluids in one space dimension. We prove, by using iterative method, the global time existence and uniqueness of strong solutions provided that the initial data satisfy a compatibility condition and the initial density is small in its H1‐norm. The aim of this article is to study the parabolic inverse problem of determination of the leading coefficient in the heat equation with an extra condition at the terminal. After introducing a new variable, we reformulate the problem as a nonclassical parabolic equation along with the initial and boundary conditions. The uniqueness and continuous dependence of the solution upon the data are demonstrated, and then finite difference methods, backward Euler and Crank–Nicolson schemes are studied. We are concerned with the mathematical study of the mean field games system (MFGS). In the conventional setup, the MFGS is a system of two coupled nonlinear parabolic partial differential equation (PDE)s of the second order in a backward–forward manner, namely, one terminal and one initial condition are prescribed, respectively, for the value function and the population density . In this paper, we show that uniqueness of solutions to the MFGS can be guaranteed if, among all four possible terminal and initial conditions, either only two terminals or only two initial conditions are given. In both cases, Hölder stability estimates are proven. This means that the accuracies of the solutions are estimated in terms of the given data. Moreover, these estimates readily imply uniqueness of corresponding problems for the MFGS. The main mathematical apparatus to establish those results is two new Carleman estimates, which may find application in other contexts associated with coupled parabolic PDEs.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with isolated calmness of the solution mapping of a parameterized convex semi-infinite optimization problem subject to canonical perturbations. We provide a sufficient condition for isolated calmness of this mapping. This sufficient condition characterizes the strong uniqueness of minimizers, under the Slater constraint qualification. Moreover, on the assumption that the objective function and the constraints are linear, we show that this condition is also necessary for isolated calmness.  相似文献

The initial–boundary value problem for the three-dimensional incompressible flow of liquid crystals is considered in a bounded smooth domain. The existence and uniqueness is established for both the local strong solution with large initial data and the global strong solution with small data. In this note we establish the local existence and global uniqueness of strong solutions to the Boussinesq approximation for incompressible fluids in three-dimensional open channels considering the “do nothing” conditions prescribed at the in/outlets. We investigate a initial‐boundary value problem for the nonlinear beam equation with variable coefficients on the action of a linear internal damping. We show the existence of a unique global weak solution and that the energy associated with this solution has a rate decay estimate.
