We consider the Sturm-Liouville operator L = ?d 2/dx 2 + q(x) with the Dirichlet boundary conditions in the space L 2[0, π] under the assumption that the potential q(x) belongs to W 2 ?1 [0, π]. We study the problem of uniform equiconvergence on the interval [0, π] of the expansion of a function f(x) in the system of eigenfunctions and associated functions of the operator L and its Fourier sine series expansion. We obtain sufficient conditions on the potential under which this equiconvergence holds for any function f(x) of class L 1. We also consider the case of potentials belonging to the scale of Sobolev spaces W 2 ?θ [0, π] with ½ < θ ≤ 1. We show that if the antiderivative u(x) of the potential belongs to some space W 2 θ [0, π] with 0 < θ < 1/2, then, for any function in the space L 2[0, π], the rate of equiconvergence can be estimated uniformly in a ball lying in the corresponding space and containing u(x). We also give an explicit estimate for the rate of equiconvergence.  相似文献

We study the Sturm-Liouville operator L = ?d 2/dx 2 + q(x) in the space L 2[0, π] with the Dirichlet boundary conditions. We assume that the potential has the form q(x) = u′(x), uW 2 θ [0, π], 0 < θ < 1/2. We consider the problem on the uniform (on the entire interval [0, π]) equiconvergence of the expansion of a function f(x) in a series in the system of root functions of the operator L with its Fourier expansion in the system of sines. We show that if the antiderivative u(x) of the potential belongs to any of the spaces W 2 θ [0, π], 0 < θ < 1/2, then the equiconvergence rate can be estimated uniformly over the ball u(x) ∈ B R = {v(x) ∈ W 2 θ [0, π] | ∥vW 2 θ R} for any function f(x) ∈ L 2[0, π].  相似文献

Let R+:= [0, +∞), and let the matrix functions P, Q, and R of order n, n ∈ N, defined on the semiaxis R+ be such that P(x) is a nondegenerate matrix, P(x) and Q(x) are Hermitian matrices for x ∈ R+ and the elements of the matrix functions P?1, Q, and R are measurable on R+ and summable on each of its closed finite subintervals. We study the operators generated in the space Ln2(R+) by formal expressions of the form l[f] = ?(P(f' ? Rf))' ? R*P(f' ? Rf) + Qf and, as a particular case, operators generated by expressions of the form l[f] = ?(P0f')' + i((Q0f)' + Q0f') + P'1f, where everywhere the derivatives are understood in the sense of distributions and P0, Q0, and P1 are Hermitianmatrix functions of order n with Lebesgue measurable elements such that P0?1 exists and ∥P0∥, ∥P0?1∥, ∥P0?1∥∥P12, ∥P0?1∥∥Q02Lloc1(R+). Themain goal in this paper is to study of the deficiency index of the minimal operator L0 generated by expression l[f] in Ln2(R+) in terms of the matrix functions P, Q, and R (P0, Q0, and P1). The obtained results are applied to differential operators generated by expressions of the form \(l[f] = - f'' + \sum\limits_{k = 1}^{ + \infty } {{H_k}} \delta \left( {x - {x_k}} \right)f\), where xk, k = 1, 2,..., is an increasing sequence of positive numbers, with limk→+∞xk = +∞, Hk is a number Hermitian matrix of order n, and δ(x) is the Dirac δ-function.  相似文献

Let O ? R d be a bounded domain of class C 1,1. Let 0 < ε - 1. In L 2(O;C n ) we consider a positive definite strongly elliptic second-order operator B D,ε with Dirichlet boundary condition. Its coefficients are periodic and depend on x/ε. The principal part of the operator is given in factorized form, and the operator has lower order terms. We study the behavior of the generalized resolvent (B D,ε ? ζQ 0(·/ε))?1 as ε → 0. Here the matrix-valued function Q 0 is periodic, bounded, and positive definite; ζ is a complex-valued parameter. We find approximations of the generalized resolvent in the L 2(O;C n )-operator norm and in the norm of operators acting from L 2(O;C n ) to the Sobolev space H 1(O;C n ) with two-parameter error estimates (depending on ε and ζ). Approximations of the generalized resolvent are applied to the homogenization of the solution of the first initial-boundary value problem for the parabolic equation Q 0(x/ε)? t v ε (x, t) = ?(B D,ε v ε )(x, t).  相似文献

We prove that the mixed problem for the Klein–Gordon–Fock equation u tt (x, t) ? u xx (x, t) + au(x, t) = 0, where a ≥ 0, in the rectangle Q T = [0 ≤ x ≤ l] × [0 ≤ tT] with zero initial conditions and with the boundary conditions u(0, t) = μ(t) ∈ L p [0, T ], u(l, t) = 0, has a unique generalized solution u(x, t) in the class L p (Q T ) for p ≥ 1. We construct the solution in explicit analytic form.  相似文献

We study the linear operator pencil A(λ) = L?λV, λ ∈ ?, where L is the Sturm–Liouville operator with potential q(x) and V is the operator of multiplication by the weight ρ(x). The potential and the weight are assumed to belong to the space W 2 ?1 [0, π]. For the pencil A(λ), we seek formulas for the traces of higher negative orders, i.e., for the sums \(\sum\nolimits_{n = 1}^\infty {\lambda _n^{ - p}} \), p ≥ 2, where λn, n ∈ ?, is the sequence of eigenvalues of the pencil numbered in nondescending order of absolute values. Trace formulas in terms of the weight ρ(x) and the integral kernel of the operator L?1 are obtained, and the relationship between these formulas and the classical results about traces of integral operators is described. The theoretical results are illustrated by examples.  相似文献

A linear differential operator P(x, D) = P(x1,... x n , D1,..., D n ) = ∑αγα(x)Dα with coefficients γα(x) defined in E n is called formally almost hypoelliptic in E n if all the derivatives DνξP(x, ξ) can be estimated by P(x, ξ), and the operator P(x, D) has uniformly constant power in En. In the present paper, we prove that if P(x, D) is a formally almost hypoelliptic operator, then all solutions of equation P(x, D)u = 0, which together with some of their derivatives are square integrable with a specified exponential weight, are infinitely differentiable functions.  相似文献

In the domain Q = [0,∞)×[0,∞) of the variables (x, t), for the telegraph equation with a Dirac potential concentrated at a point (x0, t0) ∈ Q, we consider a mixed problem with initial (at t = 0) conditions on the solution and its derivative with respect to t and a condition on the boundary x = 0 which is a linear combination with coefficients depending on t of the solution and its first derivatives with respect to x and t (a directional derivative). We obtain formulas for the classical solution of this problem under certain conditions on the point (x0, t0), the coefficient of the Dirac potential, and the conditions of consistency of the initial and boundary data and the right-hand side of the equation at the point (0, 0). We study the behavior of the solution as the direction of the directional derivative in the boundary condition tends to a characteristic of the equation and obtain estimates of the difference between the corresponding solutions.  相似文献

Given a large positive number x and a positive integer k, we denote by Qk(x) the set of congruent elliptic curves E(n): y2= z3- n2 z with positive square-free integers n x congruent to one modulo eight, having k prime factors and each prime factor congruent to one modulo four. We obtain the asymptotic formula for the number of congruent elliptic curves E(n)∈ Qk(x) with Mordell-Weil ranks zero and 2-primary part of Shafarevich-Tate groups isomorphic to(Z/2Z)2. We also get a lower bound for the number of E(n)∈ Qk(x)with Mordell-Weil ranks zero and 2-primary part of Shafarevich-Tate groups isomorphic to(Z/2Z)4. The key ingredient of the proof of these results is an independence property of residue symbols. This property roughly says that the number of positive square-free integers n x with k prime factors and residue symbols(quadratic and quartic) among its prime factors being given compatible values does not depend on the actual values.  相似文献

Let Ω = {t0, t1, …, tN} and ΩN = {x0, x1, …, xN–1}, where xj = (tj + tj + 1)/2, j = 0, 1, …, N–1 be arbitrary systems of distinct points of the segment [–1, 1]. For each function f(x) continuous on the segment [–1, 1], we construct discrete Fourier sums Sn, N( f, x) with respect to the system of polynomials {p?k,N(x)} k=0 N–1 , forming an orthonormal system on nonuniform point systems ΩN consisting of finite number N of points from the segment [–1, 1] with weight Δtj = tj + 1tj. We find the growth order for the Lebesgue function Ln,N (x) of the considered partial discrete Fourier sums Sn,N ( f, x) as n = O(δ N ?2/7 ), δN = max0≤ jN?1 Δtj More exactly, we have a two-sided pointwise estimate for the Lebesgue function Ln, N(x), depending on n and the position of the point x from [–1, 1].  相似文献

We consider the Dirac operator on the interval [0, π] with an integrable potential P = (pij (x)) i,j=1 2 and strongly regular boundary conditions U. It is well known that for any integrable potential P the system {yn}n∈Z of root functions of the strongly regular operator LP,U is a Riesz basis in the space H = L2[0, π] × L2[0, π]. We obtain estimates, uniform on every compact set of potentials, of the Riesz constants ||T||||T?1||, where T is the operator of transition to an orthonormal basis.  相似文献

A self-adjoint differential operator \(\mathbb{L}\) of order 2m is considered in L 2[0,∞) with the classic boundary conditions \(y^{(k_1 )} (0) = y^{(k_2 )} (0) = y^{(k_3 )} (0) = \ldots = y^{(k_m )} (0) = 0\), where 0 ≤ k 1 < k 2 < ... < k m ≤ 2m ? 1 and {k s } s=1 m ∪ {2m ? 1 ? k s } s=1 m = {0, 1, 2, ..., 2m ? 1}. The operator \(\mathbb{L}\) is perturbed by the operator of multiplication by a real measurable bounded function q(x) with a compact support: \(\mathbb{P}\) f(x) = q(x)f(x), fL 2[0,). The regularized trace of the operator \(\mathbb{L} + \mathbb{P}\) is calculated.  相似文献

A general theorem (principle of a priori boundedness) on solvability of the boundary value problem dx = dA(t) · f(t, x), h(x) = 0 is established, where f: [a, b]×R n → R n is a vector-function belonging to the Carathéodory class corresponding to the matrix-function A: [a, b] → R n×n with bounded total variation components, and h: BVs([a, b],R n ) → R n is a continuous operator. Basing on the mentioned principle of a priori boundedness, effective criteria are obtained for the solvability of the system under the condition x(t1(x)) = B(x) · x(t 2(x))+c 0, where t i: BVs([a, b],R n ) → [a, b] (i = 1, 2) and B: BVs([a, b], R n ) → R n are continuous operators, and c 0 ∈ R n .  相似文献

Let {Q n (α,β) (x)} n=0 denote the sequence of polynomials orthogonal with respect to the non-discrete Sobolev inner product
$\langle f,g\rangle=\int_{-1}^{1}f(x)g(x)d\mu_{\alpha,\beta}(x)+\lambda\int_{-1}^{1}f'(x)g'(x)d\nu_{\alpha,\beta}(x)$
where λ>0 and d μ α,β(x)=(x?a)(1?x)α?1(1+x)β?1 dx, d ν α,β(x)=(1?x) α (1+x) β dx with aα,β>0. Their inner strong asymptotics on (?1,1), a Mehler-Heine type formula as well as some estimates of the Sobolev norms of Q n (α,β) are obtained.

We study the inverse problem of the reconstruction of the coefficient ?(x, t) = ?0(x, t) + r(x) multiplying ut in a nonstationary parabolic equation. Here ?0(x, t) ≥ ?0 > 0 is a given function, and r(x) ≥ 0 is an unknown function of the class L(Ω). In addition to the initial and boundary conditions (the data of the direct problem), we pose the problem of nonlocal observation in the form ∫0Tu(x, t) (t) = χ(x) with a known measure (t) and a function χ(x). We separately consider the case (t) = ω(t)dt of integral observation with a smooth function ω(t). We obtain sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the inverse problem, which have the form of ready-to-verify inequalities. We suggest an iterative procedure for finding the solution and prove its convergence. Examples of particular inverse problems for which the assumptions of our theorems hold are presented.  相似文献

We study the spectral properties of the Dirac operator LP,U generated in the space (L2[0, π])2 by the differential expression By′ + P(x)y and by Birkhoff regular boundary conditions U, where y = (y1, y2)t, \(B = \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} { - i}&0 \\ 0&i \end{array}} \right)\), and the entries of the matrix P are complexvalued Lebesgue measurable functions on [0, π]. We also study the asymptotic properties of the eigenvalues {λn}n∈Z of the operator LP,U as n → ∞ depending on the “smoothness” degree of the potential P; i.e., we consider the scale of Besov spaces B1,∞θ, θ ∈ (0, 1). In the case of strongly regular boundary conditions, we study the asymptotic behavior of the system of normalized eigenfunctions of the operator LP,U, and in the case of regular but not strongly regular boundary conditions, we find the asymptotics of two-dimensional spectral projections.  相似文献

Let χ = {χ n } n=0 be the Haar system normalized in L 2(0, 1) and M = {M s } s=1 be an arbitrary, increasing sequence of nonnegative integers. For any subsystem of χ of the form {φ k } = χS = {χ n } nS , where S = S(M) = {n k } k=1 = {nV[p]: pM}, V[0] = {1, 2} and V[p] = {2 p + 1, 2 p + 2, …, 2 p+1} for p = 1, 2, … a series of the form Σ i=1 a i φ i with a i ↘ 0 is constructed, that is universal with respect to partial series in all classes L r (0, 1), r ∈ (0, 1), in the sense of a.e. convergence and in the metric ofL r (0, 1). The constructed series is universal in the class of all measurable, finite functions on [0, 1] in the sense of a.e. convergence. It is proved that there exists a series by Haar system with decreasing coefficients, which has the following property: for any ? > 0 there exists a measurable function µ(x), x ∈ [0, 1], such that 0 ≤ µ(x) ≤ 1 and |{x ∈ [0, 1], µ(x) ≠ = 1}| < ?, and the series is universal in the weighted space L µ[0, 1] with respect to subseries, in the sense of convergence in the norm of L µ[0, 1].  相似文献

We study the Feynman-Kac semigroup generated by the Schrödinger operator based on the fractional Laplacian ??(???Δ)α/2???q in R d , for q?≥?0, α?∈?(0,2). We obtain sharp estimates of the first eigenfunction φ 1 of the Schrödinger operator and conditions equivalent to intrinsic ultracontractivity of the Feynman-Kac semigroup. For potentials q such that lim|x| →?∞? q(x)?=?∞ and comparable on unit balls we obtain that φ 1(x) is comparable to (|x|?+?1)???d???α (q(x)?+?1)???1 and intrinsic ultracontractivity holds iff lim|x| →?∞? q(x)/log|x|?=?∞. Proofs are based on uniform estimates of q-harmonic functions.  相似文献

For the system of root functions of an operator defined by the differential operation ?u″ + p(x)u′ + q(x)u, xG = (0, 1), with complex-valued singular coefficients, sufficient conditions for the Bessel property in the space L2(G) are obtained and a theorem on the unconditional basis property is proved. It is assumed that the functions p(x) and q(x) locally belong to the spaces L2 and W2?1, respectively, and may have singularities at the endpoints of G such that q(x) = qR(x) +qS(x) and the functions qS(x), p(x), q 2 S (x)w(x), p2(x)w(x), and qR(x)w(x) are integrable on the whole interval G, where w(x) = x(1 ? x).  相似文献

We study the Nikol’skii inequality for algebraic polynomials on the interval [?1, 1] between the uniform norm and the norm of the space L q (α,β) , 1 ≤ q < ∞, with the Jacobi weight ?(α,β)(x) = (1 ? x) α (1 + x) β , αβ > ?1. We prove that, in the case α > β ≥ ?1/2, the polynomial with unit leading coefficient that deviates least from zero in the space L q (α+1,,β) with the Jacobi weight ? (α+1,β)(x) = (1?x) α+1(1+x) β is the unique extremal polynomial in the Nikol’skii inequality. To prove this result, we use the generalized translation operator associated with the Jacobi weight. We describe the set of all functions at which the norm of this operator in the space L q (α,β) for 1 ≤ q < ∞ and α > β ≥ ?1/2 is attained.  相似文献
