4‐N, N‐diethylamino‐4’‐N’‐methyl‐stilbazolium tosylate (DAST) crystals were grown by slope nucleation method (SNM). The crystal structure of grown DAST crystals was characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction with demonstrating X‐ray diffraction main peaks. The crystal defects were analyzed by the synchrotron radiation X‐ray topography. It was found that the unbalanced temperature gradient, the Teflon groove and the super saturation fluctuation were primary causes of crystal defects. Furthermore, widely tunable THz waves ranging from 1.16 to 16.71 THz were generated from 1 mm‐thick DAST crystal using the optical parametric oscillator (OPO). It was obtained that the THz output energy was 27.4 nJ (peak power of 2.74 W) and the highest conversion efficiency was 1.37 × 10−5 at 3.8 THz.  相似文献

Single crystals of Sr3Gd(BO3)3 (SGB) and Sr3TbxGd1‐x(BO3)3 (TSGB) with dimension Ø 20 mm×20 mm have been grown by Czochralski method. The grown crystals were characterized by X‐ray powder diffraction analysis which showed the crystals belong to hexagonal structure with lattice parameters of a=b=1.254 nm, c=0.926 nm (SGB) and a=b=1.253 nm, c=0.925 nm (TSGB). In TSGB, x=17.7% was obtained by X‐ray fluorometry which showed the segregation coefficient of Tb is closed to 1. The transmission spectrum was measured, which indicated the crystals have high transmittance in 400‐1100 nm region. The Faraday rotation of single crystals at 532 nm wavelength was measured at room temperature. Finally, the Verdet constants were investigated, (SGB) V=17.9 degcm‐1T‐1 and (TSGB) V=21.3 degcm‐1T‐1. Transparent conductive gallium‐doped zinc oxide (Ga‐doped ZnO) films were prepared on glass substrate by magnetron sputtering. The influence of substrate temperature on structural, optoelectrical and surface properties of the films were investigated by X‐ray diffraction (XRD), X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), spectrophotometer, four‐point probe and goniometry, respectively. Experimental results show that all the films are found to be oriented along the c‐axis. The grain size and optical transmittance of the films increase with increasing substrate temperature. The average transmittance in the visible wavelength range is above 83% for all the samples. It is observed that the optoelectrical property is correlated with the film structure. The Ga‐doped ZnO film grown at the substrate temperature of 400 °C has the highest figure of merit of 1.25 × 10−2 Ω−1, the lowest resistivity of 1.56 × 10−3 Ω·cm and the highest surface energy of 32.3 mJ/m2.  相似文献

Organic optical material 4‐Aminopyridinium‐4‐nitro phenolate (4AP4NP) has been synthesized, and single crystals of size 20 x 14 x 6 mm3 have been grown from acetone solvent at room temperature by solvent evaporation technique. The grown crystals have been characterized by X‐ray diffraction to determine the cell parameters, and by FT‐IR technique to confirm the formation of the expected compound. The crystal belongs to monoclinic crystal system with space group P21/a.The structural perfection of the grown crystals has been analyzed by high‐resolution X‐ray diffraction (HRXRD) rocking curve measurements. The thermal stability of the compound has been determined by TG‐DTA curves. The transmittance of 4AP4NP has been used to determine the refractive index n; the extinction coefficient K and both the real εr and imaginary εi components of the dielectric constant as functions of photon energy. We report on the growth and characterization of sapphire single crystals for X‐ray optics applications. Structural defects were studied by means of laboratory double‐crystal X‐ray diffractometry and white‐beam synchrotron‐radiation topography. The investigations confirmed that the main defect types are dislocations. The best quality crystal was grown using the Kyropoulos technique. Therein the dislocation density was 102–103 cm−2 and a small area with approximately 2*2 mm2 did not show dislocation contrast in many reflections. This crystal has suitable quality for application as a backscattering monochromator. A clear correlation between growth rate and dislocation density is observed, though growth rate is not the only parameter impacting the quality.  相似文献

Bis(tetrabutylammonium)bis(2‐thioxo‐1,3‐dithiole‐4,5‐dithiolato)mercurate(II) was prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, electronic absorption, infrared and X‐ray powder diffraction spectroscopy. The specific heat of the crystal was measured to be 1878.2 J.mol–1K–1 at 300 K. The thermal decomposition process was investigated by means of thermogravimetric analysis and differential thermal analysis measurements in air together with infrared and X‐ray powder diffraction spectra. The third‐order nonlinear optical properties at 800 nm were measured by femtosecond optical Kerr gate technique by using CS2 as reference. The third‐order optical susceptibility of its acetone solution at the concentration of 9.27 × 10–4 M was obtained to be 2.53 × 10–14 esu. The second‐order hyperpolarizability was estimated to be 1.7 × 10–32 esu and the response time was about 226 fs. The third order nonlinear optical properties at 532 nm were investigated by using the Z‐scan technique with 20 ps. It exhibited self‐focusing effect and saturable absorption. Mesoporous Al2O3 were positively synthesized via treatment of the freshly precipitated amorphous alumina gel using aluminium sulphate as aluminium source, and sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) as structure‐directing agent (SDAs). The microstructures, morphologies and textural properties of the as‐prepared materials were characterized by X‐ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and thermo gravimetric analysis (TG‐DTA). The calcined product at 600 °C was highly porous in nature having a BET surface area of 42 m2/g. These porous Al2O3 exhibits excellent adsorption performance for Congo red and the corresponding decolourisation efficiencies reached 99% in just 15 min at 27 °C. The subsequent calcined product at 1200 °C is the alpha alumina single crystal hexagonal platelets with rhombohedral crystallization.  相似文献

The recrystallization of Heptakis[6‐O‐tert ‐butyldimethylsilyl)]‐β ‐cyclodextrin ( 1 ) from ethyl acetate gave single crystals of 1 2·(ethyl acetate)3 complex. The superstructure of 12·(ethyl acetate)3 complex was investigated by 1H NMR spectroscopy, molecular modeling, and single crystal/powder X‐ray diffractions. Transparent and nearly colorless ferroelectric‐ferroelastic β′‐Tb2(MoO4)3 (TMO) single crystals have been grown by the Czochralski (CZ) method. The single crystal structure was investigated by X‐ray powder diffraction and was shown to be a single phase with the structure similar as the β′‐Gd2(MoO4)3 crystal. The optical transparency of the TMO crystal has been measured and the crystal is almost transparent in the visible and near infrared regions. The defects of TMO crystal were evaluated by etching technique and the ferroelectric domain structures were observed by an optical microscope. Solubility and metastable zonewidth were estimated for p‐Bromoacetanilide. Employing slow evaporation method crystals of size 22x17x6 mm3 and 38x25x10 mm3 were grown at a constant temperature of 40°C and room temperature respectively from methanol solution. The cell dimensions were obtained by single crystal X‐ray diffraction study. The placement of protons was identified from NMR spectral analysis. UV‐Visible and fluorescence spectral analyses were carried out for the grown crystals. Vickers microhardness test was performed on the prominent (110) of the as grown crystal. The crystal structure of N‐[(1Z)‐1‐(3‐methyl‐3‐phenylcyclobutyl)‐2‐thiomorpholin‐4‐ylethylidene] thiourea (C18H26N4S2) has been determined by X‐ray crystallographic techniques. The compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca, with unit cell parameters: a = 15.692(3), b = 20.803(8), c = 11.979(6)Å, Z = 8, V = 3911(7)Å3. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full‐matrix least squares to a final R‐value of 0.084 for 1447 observed reflections [I > 2σ ( I ) ]. In the thiosemicarbazide moiety, the S = C bond length is 1.656(6), N‐C‐N angle is 115.6(5)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by the intermolecular N‐H...S hydrogen bonds. A new quadratic nonlinear optical crystal, 2‐amino‐3‐nitropyridinium trichloroacetate (2A3NPTCA), was synthesized and the single crystals were grown by slow evaporation method at room temperature. Single crystal X‐ray diffraction and powder X‐ray diffraction experiments were carried out in order to confirm the structure and crystalline nature of 2A3NPTCA crystal. The chemical bonding and various functional groups present in the 2A3NPTCA were identified from FT‐IR spectrum. The UV–visible–NIR transmission spectrum shows that it is suitable for frequency‐converting in the wavelength region of 431–1200 nm. Thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) were carried out to characterize the thermal behaviors of the grown crystals. Kurtz and Perry powder method for second harmonic generation (SHG) measurements demonstrate that 2A3NPTCA is a phase matching material and its nonlinear optical efficiency is two times that of KDP. All the above results suggest that 2A3NPTCA is a potential candidate of NLO material.  相似文献

Ir4+ ion‐free 12CaO•7Al2O3 (C12A7) single crystals that were colorless and transparent have been grown by the CZ method under 0.5% oxygen‐containing nitrogen atmospheres for the first time. Powder X‐ray diffraction patterns and X‐ray single‐crystal diffraction were used to investigate the microstructure and quality of the C12A7 single crystal. The results show that the crystal was a C12A7 single crystal with tetragonal symmetry. The content of Ir4+ in the C12A7 single crystal was tested by ICP along with visible‐light transmittance. There was no Ir4+ in the C12A7 crystal grown in a 0.5% oxygen‐containing nitrogen atmosphere. Contents of Ir4+ in C12A7 crystal grown under 1% and 2% oxygen‐containing nitrogen atmospheres were 500 ppm and 400 ppm, respectively. The microstructure of C12A7 single crystal was determined by the content of oxygen in the growth process: the occurrence of bubbles and color increase when the content of oxygen is increased. Bubbles and color decrease when the oxygen content is lowered, bubbles disappeared and the color of C12A7 turns into transparent when the content of oxygen is 0.5%, the C12A7 phase decomposed when the content of oxygen was lower than 0.5%. So, the content of oxygen was responsible for the bubbles, color and cracking, and these also can be limited by controlling the content of oxygen.  相似文献

The floating zone growth of magneto‐optical crystal YFeO3 has been investigated. The polycrystalline feed rod was prepared by a pressure of 250MPa and sintering at about 1500°C. A crack‐ free YFeO3 single crystal has been successfully grown. The crystal preferred to crystallize along <100> direction with about 10° deviation. The X‐ray rocking curve of the crystal has a FWHM of 24 arcsec, confirming the high crystal quality of the sample. The (100) plane was etched by hot phosphoric acid and the dislocation density was about 104/cm2. A thin outer layer with Y2O3‐rich composition was found at the periphery of as‐grown crystals, which was attributed to the Fe2O3 evaporation during growth. (© 2007 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. The structure of the title compound, C15H13N4OCl was determined by single crystal X‐ray diffraction technique. The structure consists of a p‐chlorobenzylamino moiety and triazol and phenyl rings. The title compound crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a = 14.368(3), b = 6.255(3), c = 17.631(3) Å, β = 113.24(3)°, Z = 4, V = 1455.8(8) Å3 and Dx = 1.372 gcm‐3. The structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full‐matrix least‐squares method (R=0.0477). The dihedral angle between the triazole moiety and the phenyl ring is 28.8(3)°. Mn substituted ZnO nanocrystals synthesized by a co‐precipitation method. X‐ray diffraction (XRD) studies confirms the presence of wurtzite (hexagonal) crystal structure similar to un doped ZnO, suggesting that doped Mn ions go at the regular Zn sites. The lattice parameters a and c are increasing with increasing Mn content. The unit cell volume increases with increasing Mn concentration, indicating the homogeneous substitution of Mn2+ for the Zn2+. The lattice distortion parameter (εv) is evaluated from XRD data and found that it enhances as Mn content increases. Transmission electron microscopy photographs show that the size of the ZnO crystals is in the range of 20‐50 nm. The SAED pattern confirms the hexagonal and crystalline nature of the samples which are in agreement with X‐ray analysis. In the title compound, the allyl group shows positional disorder. Molecules are linked by C‐H···O, C‐H···N and C‐H···S intermolecular interactions forming two‐dimensional network. The preparation and single crystal growth of bis(tetrabutylammonium)bis(4,5‐dithiolato‐1,3‐dithiole‐2‐thione)copper, (I), are described. The energy gap Eg of (I) is about 2.38 eV. The nonlinear optical susceptibility χ(3) is about 1.3×10‐3 esu at 1064 nm. The characterization of (I) has been performed by electronic absorption, infrared and X‐ray powder diffraction spectroscopy. Studies on thermal and optical properties are very essential for a nonlinear optical material. Photoacoustics (PA) is a recently developed non‐destructive testing (NDT) tool for studying such properties. L‐Alaninium maleate (C3H8NO2+·C4H3O4), an organic non‐linear optical (NLO) material was synthesized using submerged seed solution method and was characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction (XRD) and density. PA technique was used to determine the thermal parameters of LAM crystals. Moreover, possible phase transition analysis was conducted to ascertain the thermal stability.
