Abstract

We report pressure dependent studies of the a-axis resistivity as a function of temperature for several members of the isostructural families of organic charge transfer salts, (TMTSF)2X and (TMTTF) 2X. For a typical (TMTSF)2X material the low temperature metal-insulator transition seen at 1 bar is suppressed above some critical pressure, Pc, where a superconducting transition is observed near 1 K. We find a correlation between Pc and the ambient pressure c lattice parameter which reflects the anion size. The (TMTTF) cX salts exhibit very different ambient pressure behaviour but we find that with the application of sufficiently high pressures (~30 kbar) their behaviour resembles that seen in the (TMTSF)2X family but at lower pressures. In particular we find evidence of a possible superconducting transition near 4 K in (TMTTF)2Br at 25 kbar. At this pressure the conductivity near 4 K is extremely high with a value approaching 106 (Ωcm)?1 and the resistivity ratio is about 400.  相似文献

Abstract

We have studied crystal structures of europium C60 compounds by high resolution x-ray diffraction measurements. In the systematic synthesis of Eu x C60 for x (0 ≤ x ≤ 6), two stable phases appear at x = 3 and 6. Eu6C60 has a bcc structure, which is an isostructure to M 6C60 (M represents an alkali or alkaline earth metal). Eu3C60 has a superstructure derived by doubling the fcc pristine C60 crystal along three principal axes. This superstructure comes from an ordering of cation vacancies, which is analogous to Yb2.75C60.  相似文献

Abstract

The structural modification induced by electron-beam (EB) in a C60 film and its kinetics have been studied using in situ high-resolution FT-IR spectroscopy. Similar to studies on photoirradiated KxC60 fim, was found that a coalescence reaction between adjacent C60 molecules takes place. In order to investigate the interaction between an incident electron and Cgg molecules, the time-dependence of the amounts of C60 on the EB irradiation was examined. It was found that the reaction rate exhibits a linear dependence on the reactant concentration and nonlinear dependence on the incident current.  相似文献

The 2:1 charge-transfer salt (TMTSF)2(2,5-TCNQBr2) has been prepared and its physical properties investigated. Its crystal structure consists of segregated stacks of TMTSF donors (ring-over-bond overlap pattern; mean interplanar spacing of 3.6A) and chains of edge-on and disordered 2,5-TCNQBr2 acceptors. Infrared data are suggestive of unit charge on the 2,5-TCNQBr2 molecule and, therefore, half charge on the TMTSF donor. Resistivity data are successfully interpreted on the basis of a percolation construction. Magnetic data are also presented.  相似文献

Abstract

The intercalation of O2 in C60 and C70 solids have been studied. In both gas effusion spectra of C60 and C70 powder exposed to O2 at room temperature, two evolution peaks of O2 are found near 80 and 150°C. In both C60 and C70 powder, the peak near 80°C does not depend on a heating ratio and the peak near 150°C shifts to higher temperature with the heating ratio. The activation energy on diffusion of O2 in C60 and C70 solids are ~0.27eV and ~0.46eV, respectively. The number of O2 intercalated in C70 powder is larger than that in C60 powder. Electron spin density of 02-intercalated C60 film is larger than that of C70 film. The effect on the properties of C60 and C70 solids by the intercalation of O2 are discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

We report the IR spectra and the photoinduced absorption of polyhexylthiophene(PHT) doped with C60. The presence of C60 ?n anions is observed in the IR spectra by a mode at 1383 cm?1 and a broad electronic transition at 1.2 eV, while most of the C60 molecules stay neutral. This is indicative that for a small fraction of C60 molecules, charge transfer occurs in the ground state.

The photoinduced absorption spectra display a sharp transition at 1.15 eV peculiar to C60 monoanion, the spectral features change with fullerene concentration. The intensity of the polymer photoinduced bands increases 5-10 times due to photoinduced charge transfer to C60.  相似文献

Abstract

The intensity ratio of the T′/T87Rb NMR lines in Rb3C60 could be changed by different cooling rates after annealing at 380 °C. The results are discussed with respect to magnetically different surroundings of the Rb ions through the two standard orientations of the C60 3-ions. Additionally, the superconducting volume fraction is influenced by the different cooling procedures.  相似文献

Abstract

Solid state 1H NMR of (KH)3C60 was measured in the temperature range between ?80 and 60 °C. A doublet spectrum composed of main peak at ?7.0 ppm and shoulder peak at ~0 ppm was observed at room temperature. The negative chemical shift of the main peak indicates that hydrogen in (KH)3C60 exists as a hydride-like ion. The 60 °C spectrum became singlet at ?5.8 ppm due to motional narrowing.  相似文献

Abstract

The nano-structure of C60 photopolymers has been investigated using in situ Fourier-Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The FTTR and XPS studies revealed that the C60 pholopolymer has a cross-linking via a [2+2] cycloaddition four-membered ring and formed a 2D rhombohedral structure when the polymerization was saturated. Using STM, we have successfully observed the direct real-space imaging of the C60 dimers and trimers in a C60 monolayer supported on a clean semiconductor surface.  相似文献

Abstract

We report the first crystallographic analysis, as a function of temperature, of a TMTSF derivative. Both (TMTSF)2(FSO3) and (TMTSF)2(BrO4) are isostructural (triclinic, with space group PI) with superconducting (TMTSF)2(ClO4). (TMTSF)2(FSO3) undergoes a metal-to-insulator transition at 86-90K as observed by microwave conductivity, D.C. conductivity, and magnetic susceptibility. The crystal structure contains 2-dimensional sheets of short Se-Se contacts in the molecular stacking direction and perpendicular to the stacking direction. The temperature dependent variations in these contact distances appear to be of special importance in determining the conduction properties of these materials, and are observed to change in a surprising manner when (TMTSF)2(FSO3) is cooled (298 → 123K). The homoatomic Se separations within each TMTSF molecule appear to increase slightly, but not significantly. At the same time the entire 2-dimensional sheet of intermolecular (intra- and interstack) Se-Se contacts between TMTSF molecules contract quite anisotropically, which results in an increase in “dimensionality” of the Se-Se network. Hence, an increase in electrical conduction, in the absence of insulating phenomena, over the temperature range 298 → 123K is not surprising. The intermolecular Se-Se contact distances in (TMTSF)2(BrO4) are significantly longer than in (TMTSF)2(FSO3) which suggests that the room temperature electrical conductivity of the (BrO4)? salt may be diminished compared to the (FSO3)? analogue.  相似文献

Abstract

Raman spectra have been measured on BaxC60 binary systems for x=3, 4 and 6. The pentagonal pinch Ag(2) mode exhibits a softening in an approximately proportional manner to the formal valence of C60 molecule. This result suggests that the valence of C60 in Ba doped systems are understood by the naive ionic crystal model based on Ba2+. The broader Raman peaks in superconducting Ba4C60 indicates that the electron-phonon interaction is considerably large comparing to those for Ba3C60 and Ba6C60.  相似文献

The crystal structure of the title compound, Ag(mela)2ClO4 (mela = melamine), has been investigated by X-ray diffraction techniques, the crystals are triclinic, space group P1¯, with a = 5.236(2), b = 7.5385(9) c = 19.063(3) Å, = 99.91(1), = 90.53(2), = 108.32(2)° and Z = 2. The Ag atom has a coordination geometry with two strong bonds (2.162(2) and 2.179(4) Å) to the nitrogen of the melamines and two weak bonds (2.776(4) and 2.785(4) Å) to oxygen atoms of the ClO 4anions. The N—Ag—N vector is markedly nonlinear (angle at Ag 167.7(2)°).  相似文献

Electron tunnelling data in (TMTSF)2 X-GaSb Schottky barriers support the idea that strong superconducting fluctuations exist in quasi-one-dimensional (TMTSF)2X up to temperatures which are about one order or magnitude higher than the 3-D ordering critical temperature. Other tunnelling data tend to indicate that stabilization of superconductivity is possible at high temperature via chain cross-linking.  相似文献

4,7,13-T4ioxa-1,10-diaza-5,6-benzocyclopentadecane, C14H22N2O3·H2O (7) was synthesized by reduction of macrocyclic diamides (3) or (6). The compound crystallized in the orthorhombic space group Pbca witha=9.361(3),b=9.175(3),c=37.152(11) Å. The structure was solved by direct methods and refined to anR value of 0.048 and wR of 0.038 for 1875 reflections. The molecule itself is internally hydrogen bonded by N–H...O connections. In the crystal structures water molecules form hydrogen bonds with amine nitrogen atoms of adjacent molecules.  相似文献

X-ray diffuse scattering experiments on the superconducting salts (TMTSF)2X with X = PF6, AsF6 and ClO4 reveal no charge density wave instability, in contrast with the poorly conducting (TMTTF)2PF6 salt. New structural phase transitions coinciding with conductivity anomalies are found in (TMTSF)2NO3, (TMTSF)2ReO4, and (TMTTF)2ClO4. It is suggested that they correspond to order-disorder transitions involving the non-centrosymmetric counter ions. Relationships between these structural instabilities and superconductivity are also discussed.  相似文献

(C3H5N2)2[Cd(C3H4N2)2Nb2O3F8]·2H2O (C3H4N2=imidazole) (1) was prepared from the hydrothermal reaction of Nb2O5, 3CdSO4·8H2O, C3H4N2, HF and H2O at 403 K, and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction and IR spectra. 1 crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group Pba2, with a=11.0192(9), b=16.8012(14), c=6.8717(6) ?, and Z=2. The crystal is made up of [Cd(C3H4N2)2Nb2O3F8]2− anions, [C3H5N2]+ complex cations and H2O molecules of crystallization. And the backbone of the compound is a one dimension coordination polymeric chain containing the anions. The complex cations and anions are linked through hydrogen bonding interactions. Co-crystallized water molecules fill in the pores and hydrogen bond to the host. Bond valence sums show that O1, O3 and F3 have much more negative charge, which are in agreement with the crystal structure that they act as bridging atoms.Supplementary material CCDC-606794 contains the supplementary crystallographic data for this paper. Abstract

Superconducting transition of (TMTSF)2ClO4 was studied by conductivity measurements along the most conductive a-axis in magnetic fields applied along three different principal crystallographic axes. The GL coherence lengths at OK along the a-, b-, and c*-axes, ?a(0)≈ 600A, ?(0) ≈ 540A, and ?c*(0) ≈ 60A were obtained from the measurements of the temperature dependence of the upper critical field HC2 near the transition temperature. The anisotropy is discussed in terms of the dimensionality arising from the crystal structure and of the conductivity anisotropy in the normal state.  相似文献

The new azopyrazolone dye has been synthesized and its crystal structure has been investigated. Crystals of C19H18N4O3 are triclinic: ,a=7.484(1),b=10.646 (1),c=11.897(1) Å, =82.28(1), =72.86(1), =86.83(1)°,Z=2. The structure has been solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares techniques toR=0.050 for 2622 unique reflections. The tautomeric form of the molecules has been determined as a hydrazo form. Delocalization of the C5=O3 and C4=N3 -electrons and delocalization of the lone-pair electrons of N1, N3, and N4 atoms has been observed. The intramolecular N–H...O hydrogen bond forms the six-membered ring C2N2H...O condensed with the pyrazolone ring. The molecules are connected by intramolecular C–H...O hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

A new C2 symmetric bis-aziridine derivative was synthesized starting from L-(+)-tartaric acid. The molecular structure of (+)-(2R, 3R)-N, N-bis-trityl-2,3-bis-aziridine 4, was determined by 1H, 13C NMR and elemental analysis and was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
