We consider arithmetic varieties endowed with an action of the group scheme of n-th roots of unity and we define equivariant arithmetic K0-theory for these varieties. We then state a Riemann-Roch theorem for the natural transformation of equivariant arithmetic K0 -theory induced by the restriction to the fixed point scheme and we show that it implies a version of Bismut's conjecture of an equivariant arithmetic Riemann-Roch theorem.  相似文献

For a reductive group scheme G over a regular semi-local ring A, we prove the Gersten conjecture for the equivariant K-theory. As a consequence, we show that if F is the field of fractions of A, then KG0(A) @ KG0(F){K^G_0(A) \cong K^G_0(F)}, generalizing the analogous result for a dvr by Serre (Inst Hautes études Sci Publ Math 34:37–52, 1968). We also show the rigidity for the K-theory with finite coefficients of a Henselian local ring in the equivariant setting. We use this rigidity theorem to compute the equivariant K-theory of algebraically closed fields.  相似文献

We give a purely K-theoretic proof of a case of the “quantization commutes with reduction” result, conjectured by Guillemin and Sternberg and proved by Meinrenken and Vergne. We show that the quantization is simply a pushforward in K-theory, and use Lerman's symplectic cutting and the localization theorem in equivariant K-theory to prove that quantization commutes with reduction. The case where G=S 1 and the action is free on the zero level set of the moment map is addressed. Received: 9 March 1999  相似文献

We define an equivariant K 0-theory for Yetter–Drinfeld algebras over a Hopf algebra with an invertible antipode. We then show that this definition can be generalized to all Hopf-module algebras. We show that there exists a pairing, generalizing Connes pairing, between this theory and a suitably defined Hopf algebra equivariant cyclic cohomology theory.  相似文献

For an algebra with an action of a Hopf algebra we establish the pairing between equivariant cyclic cohomology and equivariant K-theory for . We then extend this formalism to compact quantum group actions and show that equivariant cyclic cohomology is a target space for the equivariant Chern character of equivariant summable Fredholm modules. We prove an analogue of Julg's theorem relating equivariant K-theory to ordinary K-theory of the C*-algebra crossed product, and characterize equivariant vector bundles on quantum homogeneous spaces.  相似文献

We compute the equivariant K-theory K G * (G)for a compact connected Lie group Gsuch that 1 (G)is torsion free (where Gacts on itself by conjugation). We prove that K G * (G)is isomorphic to the algebra of Grothendieck differentials on the representation ring. We also study a special example of a compact connected Lie group Gwith 1 (G)torsion, namely PSU(3), and compute the corresponding equivariant K-theory.  相似文献

We define a “compactification” of the representation ring of the linear group scheme over Specℤ, in the spirit of Arakelov geometry. We show that it is a λ-ring which is canonically isomorphic to a localized polynomial ring and that it plays a universal role with respect to natural operations on theK 0-theory of hermitian bundles defined by Gillet-Soulé. As a byproduct, we prove that the natural pre-λ-ring structure of theK 0-theory of hermitian bundles is a λ-ring structure. This last result plays a key role in the proof of the main results of [18] and [12].  相似文献

We give a new proof of the Jantzen sum formula for integral representations of Chevalley schemes over Spec Z, except for three exceptional cases. This is done by applying the fixed point formula of Lefschetz type in Arakelov geometry to generalized flag varieties. Our proof involves the computation of the equivariant Ray-Singer torsion for all equivariant bundles over complex homogeneous spaces. Furthermore, we find several explicit formulae for the global height of any generalized flag variety. Oblatum 17-VI-1999 & 10-IX-2001?Published online: 19 November 2001  相似文献

In this article we first study an equivariant cyclic cohomology for weak H-module agebras over a weak Hopf algebra H with a bijective antipode. Then we define an equivariant K-theory for weak quantum Yetter–Drinfeld algebras over H and establish a generalized Connes' pairing between the equivariant cyclic cohomology and the equivariant K-theory. As an application we consider our theory for groupoids.  相似文献

We show that the oriented Chow groups of Barge–Morel appear in the E 2-term of the coniveau spectral sequence for Hermitian K-theory. This includes a localization theorem and the Gersten conjecture (over infinite base fields) for Hermitian K-theory. We also discuss the conjectural relationship between oriented and higher oriented Chow groups and Levine’s homotopy coniveau spectral sequence when applied to Hermitian K-theory.  相似文献

The well known isomorphism relating the rational algebraic K-theory groups and the rational motivic cohomology groups of a smooth variety over a field of characteristic 0 is shown to be realized by a map (the Segre map) of infinite loop spaces. Moreover, the associated Chern character map on rational homotopy groups is shown to be a ring isomorphism. A technique is introduced that establishes a useful general criterion for a natural transformation of functors on quasi-projective complex varieties to induce a homotopy equivalence of semi-topological singular complexes. Since semi-topological K-theory and morphic cohomology can be formulated as the semi-topological singular complexes associated to algebraic K-theory and motivic cohomology, this criterion provides a rational isomorphism between the semi-topological K-theory groups and the morphic cohomology groups of a smooth complex variety. Consequences include a Riemann-Roch theorem for the Chern character on semi-topological K-theory and an interpretation of the topological filtration on singular cohomology groups in K-theoretic terms.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to clarify the relationships between the quantum D-module and equivariant Floer theory. Equivariant Floer theory was introduced by Givental in his paper ``Homological Geometry'. He conjectured that the quantum D-module of a symplectic manifold is isomorphic to the equivariant Floer cohomology for the universal cover of the free loop space. First, motivated by the work of Guest, we formulate the notion of ``abstract quantum D-module' which generalizes the D-module defined by the small quantum cohomology algebra. Second, we define the equivariant Floer cohomology of toric complete intersections rigorously as a D-module, using Givental's model. This is shown to satisfy the axioms of abstract quantum D-module. By Givental's mirror theorem [Giv3], it follows that equivariant Floer cohomology defined here is isomorphic to the quantum cohomology D-module.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the 'semi-topological K-homology' of complex varieties, a theory related to semi-topological K-theory much as connective topological K-homology is related to connective topological K-theory. Our main theorem is that the semi-topological K-homology of a smooth, quasi-projective complex variety Y coincides with the connective topological K-homology of the associated analytic space Y an. From this result, we deduce a pair of results relating semi-topological K-theory with connective topological K-theory. In particular, we prove that the 'Bott inverted' semi-topological K-theory of a smooth, projective complex variety X coincides with the topological K-theory of X an. In combination with a result of Friedlander and the author, this gives a new proof, in the special case of smooth, projective complex varieties, of Thomason's celebrated theorem that 'Bott inverted' algebraic K-theory with /n coefficients coincides with topological K-theory with /n coefficients.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper we give an explicit formula for the Riemann-Roch map for singular schemes which are quotients of smooth schemes by diagonalizable groups. As an application we obtain a simple proof of a formula for the Todd class of a simplicial toric variety. An equivariant version of this formula was previously obtained for complete simplicial toric varieties by Brion and Vergne (Brion M. and Vergne M. ([1997] Brion, M. and Vergne, M. 1997. An equivariant Riemann-Roch theorem for complete simplicial toric varieties. J. Reine. Agnew. Math., 482: 6792.  [Google Scholar]). In this paper, we prove a Gauss-Bonnet theorem for the higher algebraic K-theory of smooth complex algebraic varieties. To each exact n-cube of hermitian vector bundles, we associate a higher Bott-Chen form, generalizing the Bott-Chern forms associated to exact sequences. These forms allow us to define characteristic classes from K-theory to absolute Hodge cohomology. Then we prove that these characteristic classes agree with Beilinson's regulator map. A natural higher K-theoretic analogue of the triviality of vector bundles on affine toric varieties is the conjecture on nilpotence of the multiplicative action of the natural numbers on the K-theory of these varieties. This includes both Quillen's fundamental result on K-homotopy invariance of regular rings and the stable version of the triviality of vector bundles on affine toric varieties. Moreover, it yields a similar behavior of not necessarily affine toric varieties and, further, of their equivariant closed subsets. The conjecture is equivalent to the claim that the relevant admissible morphisms of the category of vector bundles on an affine toric variety can be supported by monomials not in a nondegenerate corner subcone of the underlying polyhedral cone. We prove that one can in fact eliminate all lattice points in such a subcone, except maybe one point. The elimination of the last point is also possible in 0 characteristic if the action of the big Witt vectors satisfies a very natural condition. A partial result of this in the arithmetic case provides first nonsimplicial examples, actually an explicit infinite series of combinatorially different affine toric varieties, simultaneously verifying the conjecture for all higher groups.Supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, INTAS grant 99-00817 and TMR grant ERB FMRX CT-97-0107  相似文献

In this paper we establish Riemann–Roch and Lefschtez–Riemann–Roch theorems for arbitrary proper maps of finite cohomological dimension between algebraic stacks in the sense of Artin. The Riemann–Roch theorem is established as a natural transformation between the G-theory of algebraic stacks and topological G-theory for stacks: we define the latter as the localization of G-theory by topological K-homology. The Lefschtez–Riemann–Roch is an extension of this including the action of a torus for Deligne–Mumford stacks. This generalizes the corresponding Riemann–Roch theorem (Lefschetz–Riemann–Roch theorem) for proper maps between schemes (that are also equivariant for the action of a torus, respectively) making use of some fundamental results due to Vistoli and Toen. A key result established here is that topological G-theory (as well as rational G-theory) has cohomological descent on the isovariant étale site of an algebraic stack. This extends cohomological descent for topological G-theory on schemes as proved by Thomason.  相似文献
