A new 2,5‐di‐tert‐butyl‐6‐oxophenalenoxyl (6OPO) derivative with a cyano group at the 8‐position, where a large spin density resides, has been synthesized. This neutral radical exhibits high stability in the solid state in air despite the low steric protection on the 8‐position; the stability is comparable to that of a corresponding 8‐tert‐butylated 6OPO derivative. EPR/1H‐ENDOR/TRIPLE (electron paramagnetic resonance/1H‐electron‐nuclear double resonance/TRIPLE) spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry showed an extended spin delocalization on the cyano group and a significant increase in electron‐accepting ability relative to that of the 8‐tert‐butylated 6OPO derivative. DFT calculations indicated the extension of a singly occupied molecular orbital (SOMO) onto the cyano group and the lower‐lying SOMO and LUMO in comparison with those of the 8‐tert‐butylated 6OPO derivative, which was consistent with experimental results. Furthermore, the extended nature of π conjugation onto the cyano group was quantitatively evaluated by calculating the contributing weights of resonance structures in terms of a molecular orbital (MO)‐based valence‐bond (VB) method. Herein, the synthesis and physical properties of the 8‐cyano‐6OPO derivative are described, emphasizing that the high stability arises from the electronic effect of the cyano group. Also, the usefulness of the quantitative resonance structure analysis is shown.  相似文献

Homogeneous π‐stacking dimers of phenalenyl and its derivatives have gained tremendous interest as components of conducting organic materials. For the first time, we investigate theoretically heterogeneous phenalenyl π‐dimers. Key parameters, including charge transfer, interaction energy, singly occupied molecular orbital (SOMO) energy, and spin density, are studied with the help of density functional theory. We find that the amount of charge transfer between the two monomers in phenalenyl π‐dimers correlates with the difference in the SOMO energies of the constituent monomers, where the SOMO energy plays the role of a monomer (group) electronegativity index. Charge transfer plays an important role in stabilizing the heterodimers while maintaining a significant diradicaloid character. For five heterodimers the interaction energy is found to be as large as ?30 to ?50 kcal mol?1. The presented correlation between the monomer SOMO energy levels and their stability can provide a simple predictive tool to design new highly stable π‐stacking heterodimers.  相似文献

5‐Benzylamino‐3‐tert‐butyl‐1‐phenyl‐1H‐pyrazole, C20H23N3, (I), and its 5‐[4‐(trifluoromethyl)benzyl]‐, C21H22F3N3, (III), and 5‐(4‐bromobenzyl)‐, C20H22BrN3, (V), analogues, are isomorphous in the space group C2/c, but not strictly isostructural; molecules of (I) form hydrogen‐bonded chains, while those of (III) and (V) form hydrogen‐bonded sheets, albeit with slightly different architectures. Molecules of 3‐tert‐butyl‐5‐(4‐methylbenzylamino)‐1‐phenyl‐1H‐pyrazole, C21H25N3, (II), are linked into hydrogen‐bonded dimers by a combination of N—H...π(arene) and C—H...π(arene) hydrogen bonds, while those of 3‐tert‐butyl‐5‐(4‐chlorobenzylamino)‐1‐phenyl‐1H‐pyrazole, C20H22ClN3, (IV), form hydrogen‐bonded chains of rings which are themselves linked into sheets by an aromatic π–π stacking interaction. Simple hydrogen‐bonded chains built from a single N—H...O hydrogen bond are formed in 3‐tert‐butyl‐5‐(4‐nitrobenzylamino)‐1‐phenyl‐1H‐pyrazole, C20H22N4O2, (VI), while in 3‐tert‐butyl‐5‐(3,4,5‐trimethoxybenzylamino)‐1‐phenyl‐1H‐pyrazole, C23H29N3O3, (VII), which crystallizes with Z′ = 2 in the space group P, pairs of molecules are linked into two independent centrosymmetric dimers, one generated by a three‐centre N—H...(O)2 hydrogen bond and the other by a two‐centre N—H...O hydrogen bond.  相似文献

X‐ray studies reveal that tert‐butyl (6S)‐6‐isobutyl‐2,4‐dioxopiperidine‐1‐carboxylate occurs in the 4‐enol form, viz. tert‐butyl (6S)‐4‐hydroxy‐6‐isobutyl‐2‐oxo‐1,2,5,6‐tetrahydropyridine‐1‐carboxylate, C14H23NO4, when crystals are grown from a mixture of dichloromethane and pentane, and has an axial orientation of the isobutyl side chain at the 6‐position of the piperidine ring. Reduction of the keto functionality leads predominantly to the corresponding β‐hydroxylated δ‐lactam, tert‐butyl (4R,6S)‐4‐hydroxy‐6‐isobutyl‐2‐oxopiperidine‐1‐carboxylate, C14H25NO4, with a cis configuration of the 4‐hydroxy and 6‐isobutyl groups. The two compounds show similar molecular packing driven by strong O—H⋯O=C hydrogen bonds, leading to infinite chains in the crystal structure.  相似文献

Methylation of 9‐lithiated ap‐9‐pivaloylfluorene, (I), as well as pivaloylation of 9‐lithiated 9‐methylfluorene provided rotationally stable sp‐9‐methyl‐9‐pivaloylfluorene, (III), C19H20O, which lies about a crystallographic mirror plane. Fluorene (I) exists exclusively in the ap configuration in solution (NMR) as well as in the crystalline state, reflecting the unfavorable interaction between the tert‐butyl and fluorene‐ring π electrons in the sp configuration. The existence of (III) exclusively in the sp configuration indicates that, in this case, the interaction between the tert‐butyl group and the fluorene‐ring π electrons provides relatively more thermodynamic stability than the steric interaction between the tert‐butyl and 9‐methyl groups (ap configuration).  相似文献

Two related compounds containing ptert‐butyl‐o‐methylene‐linked phenol or phenol‐derived subunits are described, namely 5,5′‐di‐tert‐butyl‐2,2′‐dihydroxy‐3,3′‐methylenedibenzaldehyde, C23H28O4, (I), and 6,6′‐di‐tert‐butyl‐8,8′‐methylenebis(spiro[4H‐1,3‐benzodioxin‐2,1′‐cyclohexane]), C35H48O4, (II). Both compounds adopt a `butterfly' shape, with the two phenol or phenol‐derived O atoms in distal positions. Phenol and aldehyde groups in (I) are involved in intramolecular hydrogen bonds and the two dioxin rings in (II) are in distorted half‐chair conformations.  相似文献

Pyrene‐bridged boron subphthalocyanine dimers were synthesized from a mixed‐condensation reaction of 2,7‐di‐tert‐butyl‐4,5,9,10‐tetracyanopyrene and tetrafluorophthalonitrile, and their syn and anti isomers arising from the result of connecting two bowl‐shaped boron subphthalocyanine molecules were successfully separated. Expansion of the conjugated system of boron subphthalocyanine through a pyrene bridge caused a redshift of the Q band absorption relative to the parent pyrene‐fused monomer, whereas combining the curved π‐conjugation of boron subphthalocyanine with the planar π‐conjugation of pyrene enabled facile embracement of C60 molecules, owing to the enhanced concave–convex π–π stacking interactions.  相似文献

An efficent access to a series of N‐(pyrrol‐2‐yl)amines, namely (E)‐1‐tert‐butyl‐5‐[(4‐chlorobenzylidene)amino]‐1H‐pyrrole‐3‐carbonitrile, C16H16ClN3, (7a), (E)‐1‐tert‐butyl‐5‐[(2,4‐dichlorobenzylidene)amino]‐1H‐pyrrole‐3‐carbonitrile, C16H15Cl2N3, (7b), (E)‐1‐tert‐butyl‐5‐[(pyridin‐4‐ylmethylene)amino]‐1H‐pyrrole‐3‐carbonitrile, C15H16N4, (7c), 1‐tert‐butyl‐5‐[(4‐chlorobenzyl)amino]‐1H‐pyrrole‐3‐carbonitrile, C16H18ClN3, (8a), and 1‐tert‐butyl‐5‐[(2,4‐dichlorobenzyl)amino]‐1H‐pyrrole‐3‐carbonitrile, C16H17Cl2N3, (8b), by a two‐step synthesis sequence (solvent‐free condensation and reduction) starting from 5‐amino‐1‐tert‐butyl‐1H‐pyrrole‐3‐carbonitrile is described. The syntheses proceed via isolated N‐(pyrrol‐2‐yl)imines, which are also key synthetic intermediates of other valuable compounds. The crystal structures of the reduced compounds showed a reduction in the symmetry compared with the corresponding precursors, viz. Pbcm to P from compound (7a) to (8a) and P21/c to P from compound (7b) to (8b), probably due to a severe change in the molecular conformations, resulting in the loss of planarity observed in the nonreduced compounds. In all of the crystals, the supramolecular assembly is controlled mainly by strong (N,C)—H…N hydrogen bonds. However, in the case of (7a)–(7c), C—H…Cl interactions are strong enough to help in the three‐dimensional architecture, as observed in Hirshfeld surface maps.  相似文献

Of central importance in chemistry and biology, enolate chemistry is an attractive topic to elaborate on possible contributions of anion–π interactions to catalysis. To demonstrate the existence of such contributions, experimental evidence for the stabilization of not only anions but also anionic intermediates and transition states on π‐acidic aromatic surfaces is decisive. To tackle this challenge for enolate chemistry with maximal precision and minimal uncertainty, malonate dilactones are covalently positioned on the π‐acidic surface of naphthalenediimides (NDIs). Their presence is directly visible in the upfield shifts of the α‐protons in the 1H NMR spectra. The reactivity of these protons on π‐acidic surfaces is measured by hydrogen–deuterium (H–D) exchange for 11 different examples, excluding controls. The velocity of H–D exchange increases with π acidity (NDI core substituents: SO2R>SOR>H>OR>OR/NR2>SR>NR2). The H–D exchange kinetics vary with the structure of the enolate (malonates>methylmalonates, dilactones>dithiolactones). Moreover, they depend on the distance to the π surface (bridge length: 11–13 atoms). Most importantly, H–D exchange depends strongly on the chirality of the π surface (chiral sulfoxides as core substituents; the crystal structure of the enantiopure (R,R,P)‐macrocycle is reported). For maximal π acidity, transition‐state stabilizations up to ?18.8 kJ mol?1 are obtained for H–D exchange. The Brønsted acidity of the enols increases strongly with π acidity of the aromatic surface, the lowest measured pKa=10.9 calculates to a ΔpKa=?5.5. Corresponding to the deprotonation of arginine residues in neutral water, considered as “impossible” in biology, the found enolate–π interactions are very important. The strong dependence of enolate stabilization on the unprecedented seven‐component π‐acidity gradient over almost 1 eV demonstrates quantitatively that such important anion–π activities can be expected only from strong enough π acids.  相似文献

3‐tert‐Butyl‐7‐(4‐methoxybenzyl)‐4′,4′‐dimethyl‐1‐phenyl‐4,5,6,7‐tetrahydro‐1H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐b]pyridine‐5‐spiro‐1′‐cyclohexane‐2′,6′‐dione, C31H37N3O3, (I), 3‐tert‐butyl‐7‐(2,3‐dimethoxybenzyl)‐4′,4′‐dimethyl‐1‐phenyl‐4,5,6,7‐tetrahydro‐1H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐b]pyridine‐5‐spiro‐1′‐cyclohexane‐2′,6′‐dione, C32H39N3O4, (II), 3‐tert‐butyl‐4′,4′‐dimethyl‐7‐(3,4‐methylenedioxybenzyl)‐1‐phenyl‐4,5,6,7‐tetrahydro‐1H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐b]pyridine‐5‐spiro‐1′‐cyclohexane‐2′,6′‐dione, C31H35N3O4, (III), and 3‐tert‐butyl‐4′,4′‐dimethyl‐1‐phenyl‐7‐(3,4,5‐trimethoxybenzyl)‐4,5,6,7‐tetrahydro‐1H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐b]pyridine‐5‐spiro‐1′‐cyclohexane‐2′,6′‐dione ethanol 0.67‐solvate, C33H41N3O5·0.67C2H6O, (IV), all contain reduced pyridine rings having half‐chair conformations. The molecules of (I) and (II) are linked into centrosymmetric dimers and simple chains, respectively, by C—H...O hydrogen bonds, augmented only in (I) by a C—H...π hydrogen bond. The molecules of (III) are linked by a combination of C—H...O and C—H...π hydrogen bonds into a chain of edge‐fused centrosymmetric rings, further linked by weak hydrogen bonds into supramolecular arrays in two or three dimensions. The heterocyclic molecules in (IV) are linked by two independent C—H...O hydrogen bonds into sheets, from which the partial‐occupancy ethanol molecules are pendent. The significance of this study lies in its finding of a very wide range of supramolecular aggregation modes dependent on rather modest changes in the peripheral substituents remote from the main hydrogen‐bond acceptor sites.  相似文献

The title compound, [CoCl(C12H8N2)2(H2O)]Cl·[CoCl2(C12H8N2)2]·6H2O, is the first example of a new 1:1 cocrystal of the octahedral [CoCl2(phen)2] and [CoCl(phen)2(H2O)]+·Cl complexes (phen is 1,10‐phenanthroline). The latter form heterochiral dimers held by strong π–π stacking interactions via their phenathroline ligands, which confirms that π stacking is an important and reliable synthon in supramolecular design. In addition, the crystal structure is networked by H2O...H2O, H2O...Cl and H2O...Cl hydrogen bonds, which interconnect the different units of the cobalt complexes.  相似文献

7‐Benzyl‐3‐tert‐butyl‐1‐phenyl‐6,7‐dihydro‐1H,4H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐d][1,3]oxazine, C22H25N3O, (I), and 3‐tert‐butyl‐7‐(4‐methylbenzyl)‐1‐phenyl‐6,7‐dihydro‐1H,4H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐d][1,3]oxazine, C23H27N3O, (II), are isomorphous in the space group P21, and molecules are linked into chains by C—H...O hydrogen bonds. In each of 3‐tert‐butyl‐7‐(4‐methoxybenzyl)‐1‐phenyl‐6,7‐dihydro‐1H,4H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐d][1,3]oxazine, C23H27N3O2, (III), which has cell dimensions rather similar to those of (I) and (II), also in P21, and 3‐tert‐butyl‐1‐phenyl‐7‐[4‐(trifluoromethyl)benzyl]‐6,7‐dihydro‐1H,4H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐d][1,3]oxazine, C23H24F3N3O, (IV), there are no direction‐specific interactions between the molecules. In 3‐tert‐butyl‐7‐(4‐nitrobenzyl)‐1‐phenyl‐6,7‐dihydro‐1H,4H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐d][1,3]oxazine, C22H24N4O3, (V), a combination of C—H...O and C—H...N hydrogen bonds links the molecules into complex sheets. There are no direction‐specific interactions between the molecules of 3‐tert‐butyl‐7‐(2,3‐dimethoxybenzyl)‐1‐phenyl‐6,7‐dihydro‐1H,4H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐d][1,3]oxazine, C24H29N3O3, (VI), but a three‐dimensional framework is formed in 3‐tert‐butyl‐7‐(3,4‐methylenedioxybenzyl)‐1‐phenyl‐6,7‐dihydro‐1H,4H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐d][1,3]oxazine, C23H25N3O3, (VII), by a combination of C—H...O, C—H...N and C—H...π(arene) hydrogen bonds, while a combination of C—H...O and C—H...π(arene) hydrogen bonds links the molecules of 3‐tert‐butyl‐1‐phenyl‐7‐(3,4,5‐trimethoxybenzyl)‐6,7‐dihydro‐1H,4H‐pyrazolo[3,4‐d][1,3]oxazine, C25H31N3O4, (VIII), into complex sheets. In each compound, the oxazine ring adopts a half‐chair conformation, while the orientations of the pendent phenyl and tert‐butyl substituents relative to the pyrazolo[3,4‐d]oxazine unit are all very similar.  相似文献

In 2‐amino‐4,6‐dimethoxy‐5‐nitropyrimidine, C6H8N4O4, the molecules are linked by one N—H⋯N and one N—H⋯O hydrogen bond to form sheets built from alternating R(8) and R(32) rings. In isomeric 4‐amino‐2,6‐dimethoxy‐5‐nitropyrimidine, C6H8N4O4, which crystallizes with Z′ = 2 in P, the two independent molecules are linked into a dimer by two independent N—H⋯N hydrogen bonds. These dimers are linked into sheets by a combination of two‐centre C—H⋯O and three‐centre C—H⋯(O)2 hydrogen bonds, and the sheets are further linked by two independent aromatic π–π‐stacking interactions to form a three‐dimensional structure.  相似文献

Unnatural cyclic α‐amino acids play an important role in the search for biologically active compounds and macromolecules. Enantiomers of natural amino acids with a d configuration are not naturally encoded, but can be chemically synthesized. The crystal structures of two enantiomers obtained by a method of stereoselective synthesis, namely (5R ,8S )‐8‐tert‐butyl‐7‐methoxy‐8‐methyl‐9‐oxa‐6‐azaspiro[4.5]decane‐2,10‐dione, (1), and (5S ,8R )‐8‐tert‐butyl‐7‐methoxy‐8‐methyl‐9‐oxa‐6‐azaspiro[4.5]decane‐2,10‐dione, (2), both C14H21NO4, were determined by X‐ray diffraction. Both enantiomers crystallize isostructurally in the space group P 21, with one molecule in the asymmetric unit and with the same packing motif. The crystal structures are stabilized by C—H…O hydrogen bonds, resulting in the formation of chains along the [100] and [010] directions. The conformation of the 3,6‐dihydro‐2H‐1,4‐oxazin‐2‐one fragment was compared with other crystal structures possessing this heterocyclic moiety. The comparison showed that the title compounds are not exceptional among structures containing the 3,6‐dihydro‐2H‐1,4‐oxazin‐2‐one fragment. The planar moiety was more frequently observed in derivatives in which this fragment was not condensed with other rings.  相似文献

1,3,7,8‐Tetraphenyl‐4,8‐dihydro‐1H‐imidazolo[4,5g][1,2,4]benzotriazin‐4‐yl ( 5 ), 8‐(4‐bromophenyl)‐1,3,7‐triphenyl‐4,8‐dihydro‐1H‐imidazolo[4,5g][1,2,4]benzotriazin‐4‐yl ( 6 ), and 8‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)‐1,3,7‐triphenyl‐4,8‐dihydro‐1H‐imidazolo[4,5g][1,2,4]benzotriazin‐4‐yl ( 7 ) were characterized by using X‐ray diffraction crystallography, variable‐temperature magnetic susceptibility studies, and DFT calculations. Radicals 5 – 7 pack in 1 D π stacks made of radical pairs with alternate short and long interplanar distances. The magnetic susceptibility (χ vs. T) of radicals 5 and 6 exhibit broad maxima at (50±2) and (50±4) K, respectively, and are interpreted in terms of an alternating antiferromagnetic Heisenberg linear chain model with average exchange‐interaction values of J=?31.3 and ?35.4 cm?1 (gsolid=2.0030 and 2.0028) and an alternation parameter a=0.15 and 0.38 for 5 and 6 , respectively. However, radical 7 forms 1 D columns of radical pairs with alternating distances; one of the interplanar distances is significantly longer than the other, which decreases the magnetic dimensionality and leads to discrete dimers with a ferromagnetic exchange interaction between the radicals (2J=23.6 cm?1, 2zJ′=?2.8 cm?1, gsolid=2.0028). Magnetic exchange‐coupling interactions in 1,2,4‐benzotriazinyl radicals are sensitive to the degree of slippage and inter‐radical separation, and such subtle changes in structure alter the fine balance between ferro‐ and antiferromagnetic interactions.  相似文献

Reactions of magnesium 3‐tert‐butyl‐8‐R‐4‐oxo‐4H‐pyrazolo[5,1‐c][1,2,4]triazin‐1‐ides (R = CN, CO2Et) with AlkMgBr led to nucleophilic additions to either side chain or triazine core, with selectivity being dependent on the nature of substituents, as well as on the solvents used. Previously inaccessible C8‐functionalized and C4‐functionalized pyrazolo[5,1‐c][1,2,4]triazines and 3‐tert‐butyl‐3‐ethyl‐4‐oxo‐1,2,3,4‐tetrahydropyrazolo[5,1‐c][1,2,4]triazine were synthesized, and their reactivity and spectral data discussed.  相似文献

η3‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane molybdenum tricarbonyl reacts with allyl bromide and 3‐butenyl bromide in dimethylformamide in the presence of K2CO3 yielding 1‐(2‐propenyl)‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane ( 1a ) and 1‐(3‐butenyl)‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane ( 1b ), which on their part react with bromoacetic acid tert‐butyl ester in CH3CN to give 1‐(2‐propenyl)‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane‐4,7,10‐tris‐acetic acid tert‐butyl ester ( 2a ) and 1‐(3‐butenyl)‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane‐4,7,10‐tris‐acetic acid tert‐butyl ester ( 2b ), respectively. Compounds 2a and 2b are converted into the corresponding acids 1‐(2‐propenyl)‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane‐4,7,10‐tris‐acetic acid ( 4a ) (MPC) and 1‐(3‐butenyl)‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane‐4,7,10‐tris‐acetic acid ( 4b ) (MBC) via the trifluoroacetates 3a and 3b . Sm(NO3)3(H2O)6, LuCl3(THF)3, and TmCl3(H2O)6 react with 4a and 4b forming the lanthanide complexes Sm(MPC) ( 5 ), Lu(MPC) ( 6 ), Tm(MPC) ( 7a ) and Tm(MBC) ( 7b ). The IR as well as the 1H and 13C NMR spectra of the new compounds are reported and discussed.  相似文献

The radical anion of octa‐tert‐butyloctasilacubane was generated and isolated. The EPR spectrum showed the satellites due to the tertiary 13C nuclei of the eight tert‐butyl groups. The X‐ray crystallographic analysis showed that the Si? Si bonds are shortened and the Si? C bonds are elongated compared with those of octa‐tert‐butyloctasilacubane. These results are well explained by the distribution of an unpaired electron in the singly occupied molecular orbital (SOMO).  相似文献

Two compounds containing 1,3‐benzodioxin groups are reported, namely (±)‐6‐tert‐butyl‐8‐hydroxymethyl‐2‐phenyl‐4H‐1,3‐benzodioxin, C19H22O3, (I), and 2,2,2′,2′,6,6′‐hexamethyl‐8,8′‐methylenebis(4H‐1,3‐benzodioxin), C23H28O4, (II).The hydroxy groups of neighbouring molecules in (I) are hydrogen bonded to each other, giving rise to double‐row chains. The molecule in (II) adopts a `butterfly' conformation, with the O atoms in distal positions. In both compounds, the dioxin rings are in distorted half‐chair conformations.  相似文献

The title compounds, rac‐(1′R,2R)‐tert‐butyl 2‐(1′‐hydroxyethyl)‐3‐(2‐nitrophenyl)‐5‐oxo‐2,5‐dihydro‐1H‐pyrrole‐1‐carboxylate, C17H20N2O6, (I), rac‐(1′S,2R)‐tert‐butyl 2‐[1′‐hydroxy‐3′‐(methoxycarbonyl)propyl]‐3‐(2‐nitrophenyl)‐5‐oxo‐2,5‐dihydro‐1H‐pyrrole‐1‐carboxylate, C20H24N2O8, (II), and rac‐(1′S,2R)‐tert‐butyl 2‐(4′‐bromo‐1′‐hydroxybutyl)‐5‐oxo‐2,5‐dihydro‐1H‐pyrrole‐1‐carboxylate, C13H20BrNO4, (III), are 5‐hydroxyalkyl derivatives of tert‐butyl 2‐oxo‐2,5‐dihydropyrrole‐1‐carboxylate. In all three compounds, the tert‐butoxycarbonyl (Boc) unit is orientated in the same manner with respect to the mean plane through the 2‐oxo‐2,5‐dihydro‐1H‐pyrrole ring. The hydroxyl substituent at one of the newly created chiral centres, which have relative R,R stereochemistry, is trans with respect to the oxo group of the pyrrole ring in (I), synthesized using acetaldehyde. When a larger aldehyde was used, as in compounds (II) and (III), the hydroxyl substituent was found to be cis with respect to the oxo group of the pyrrole ring. Here, the relative stereochemistry of the newly created chiral centres is R,S. In compound (I), O—H...O hydrogen bonding leads to an interesting hexagonal arrangement of symmetry‐related molecules. In (II) and (III), the hydroxyl groups are involved in bifurcated O—H...O hydrogen bonds, and centrosymmetric hydrogen‐bonded dimers are formed. The Mukaiyama crossed‐aldol‐type reaction was successful when using the 2‐nitrophenyl‐substituted hydroxypyrrole, or the unsubstituted hydroxypyrrole, and boron trifluoride diethyl ether as catalyst. The synthetic procedure leads to a syn configuration of the two newly created chiral centres in all three compounds.  相似文献
