Cyclization of 2-hydroxyacetophenone hydrazones with triphosgene resulted in the formation of 4-methylene-1,3-benzoxazinones. These compounds were converted to 4-alkoxy-4-methyl-1,3-benzoxazinones and 4-fluoromethyl-4-methoxy-1,3-benzoxazinones upon treatment with alcohols under refluxing conditions and F-TEDA-BF4 in acetonitrile and methanol, respectively.  相似文献

Two families of liquid crystalline compounds have been synthesised, the 4-butyl-4- alkoxyazobenzenes and the 4-pentyl-4-alkoxyazobenzenes; for the second family results are presented for the first time for alkoxy chains longer than butyl. The results for both families have been obtained up to the octadecyl homologues. In both families, on the basis of DSC, polarizing microscopy and thermo-optical analysis, a rich polymorphism has been detected (maximum tetramorphism). The smectic properties start with the hexyl derivative (for the butyl family) and with the heptyl derivative (for the pentyl family). Strong odd-even effects for the temperatures of clearing in both groups of compounds were detected. Our results are compared with those of de Jeu et al. and of Adomenas et al. for the 4-butyl-4- alkoxyazobenzenes, for which only one smectic modification was described.  相似文献

The crystal structure of LaIr4B4 has been refined from single crystal counter data. LaIr4B4 is tetragonal,P42/n,Z=2, isotypic with NdCo4B4, |F|/|F o|=0.039 for 312 independent reflections [|F o|>2 (F o)]. ThIr4B4 and ThOs4B4 also belong to the NdCo4B4-type structure. URu4B4 and UOs4B4 were found to crystallize with LuRu4B4-type structure. The crystal chemistry of (RE)T 4B4-phases is discussed and simple geometric relations are shown to exist between them.Dedicated to Prof.B. T. Matthias in celebration of his 60th birthday.  相似文献

Procedures have been developed for the acylation of 4-amino-4'-nitrodiphenyl sulfide with an almost quantitative yield by the action of acetic anhydride in aprotic organic solvents and subsequent nitration of 4-acetylamino-4'-nitrodiphenyl sulfide with nitric acid in a mixture of acetic acid and an aprotic organic solvent with addition of a mixture of sulfuric and acetic acids by the end of the process.  相似文献

The orientational ordering in the three related compounds 4,4-di-n-heptyl-d2-azobenzene-d, (HB-d12), 4,4'-di-n-heptyl-d2-azoxybenzene-d, (HAB-d12) and 4,4-di-n-octyl-d2-azoxybenzene-d8 (OAB-d12) has been monitored using deuteron N.M.R. spectroscopy. In these non-rigid molecules it is possible to obtain only the elements of local order matrices. For the aromatic rings these are found to be axially symmetric within the precision of our measurements. The temperature dependences of the local order parameters for the aromatic rings are compared with those predicted by McMillan's theory of smectic A phases.  相似文献

Ab initio calculations have been performed on B4H4, B4Cl4 and B4F4 in order to aid our understanding of the bonding in these compounds, which is presumably based on a tetrahedral boron cage. This cage has only 8 electrons and so is less than that expected on the basis of the usual framework electron counting rules. Basis sets with polarisation functions were used at the SCF, CI and CPF levels of theory to confirm that the T d structures are indeed more stable than the D 4h ones. Davidson-Roby population analyses were able to show that many factors, including 3-centre 2-electron bonding and backbonding from the ligand to the boron cage, are of importance in determining the relative stability of the three compounds, of which B4Cl4 is the only one that has yet been observed experimentally.  相似文献

A novel solid-phase synthesis of 4-biaryl-piperidine-4-carboxamides has been developed using FDMP resin with a carboxamide as the anchor point. Novel fluorinated α-epoxycyclohexanes were synthesized in up to 96% yields by epoxidation of the Diels–Alder adducts of β-fluoro-β-nitrostyrenes and 2,3-dimethylbuta-1,3-diene. The epoxidation with m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid and subsequent hydrolysis into diols were found to proceed in a highly stereoselective manner.  相似文献

Less expensive, safer, and easily scaled-up methods for the synthesis of 4-fluororesorcinol and 4-trifluoromethylresorcinol have been established, including two methods to give the former compound. One involves the reaction of Selectfluor™ reagent with 1,3-dimethoxybenzene to give 2,4-dimethoxy-1-fluorobenzene followed by hydrolysis to give 4-fluororesorcinol. The overall yield of this two-step reaction is 54%. In the second case, when Selectfluor reagent is reacted directly with resorcinol, under the best reaction conditions, 4-fluororesorcinol is obtained in 66% yield. It is, however, very difficult to separate the starting material from the mono- and difluororesorcinol products. Consequently, the two-step method is the method of choice to prepare 4-fluororesorcinol. The trifluoromethyl group was incorporated into 2,4-dimethoxy-1-iodobenzene to form 1,3-dimethoxy-4-trifluoromethylbenzene followed by mild hydrolysis to give 4-trifluoromethylresorcinol. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Methyl 4-azido-4-deoxy-β-L-arabinopyranoside has been synthesized in five steps starting from methyl β-D-xylopyranoside in a multigram scale without chromatographic purification in 78% overall yield. The transformation relied on selective tosylation/nosylation at O-4 followed by acylation, S(N)2 displacement with sodium azide and subsequent deprotection. The methyl 4-azido-4-deoxy-arabinoside was then converted into allyl, propenyl, ω-bromohexyl and chlorethoxyethyl spacer glycosides by transglycosylation with the respective alcohols in good yields and fair anomeric selectivity. Reduction of the azido group and further transformations of the aglycon afforded ω-thiol-containing spacer derivatives. Coupling to maleimide-activated BSA provided a potent immunogen which was used to generate murine and rabbit polyclonal sera binding to LPS-core epitopes containing 4-amino-4-deoxy-arabinose residues.  相似文献

A mild copper(II)-catalyzed oxidation of 4-carboxythiazolines and 4-carboxyoxazolines to 4-carboxythiazoles and 4-carboxyoxazoles has been developed. Various substrates with alkyl or aryl substitutions at 2-position on azoline ring could be smoothly oxidized to the desired products in good to excellent yields. We report differential and integral cross sections for rotational excitation of XH4 molecules (X: C, Si, Ge, Sn, Pb) from 7.5–30 eV by electron impact. These cross sections were derived from fixed-nuclei scattering amplitudes (Bettega et al. 1995) obtained using the Schwinger Multichannel Method with Pseudopotentials (SMCPP) (Bettega et al. 1993). Our results represent the first rotational excitation cross sections for molecules as large as GeH4, SnH4 and PbH4 using entirely ab initio procedures. The cross sections for CH4 and SiH4 obtained with pseudopotentials are in very good agreement with all-electron calculations and with other theoretical results. A comparison between our calculated cross sections and experimental data for CH4 is in general encouraging, but some discrepancies remain. We found inelastic rotational cross sections and momentum transfer cross sections to be larger for SiH4, GeH4, SnH4 and PbH4 than for CH4. We could explain this feature.  相似文献

By treating 2e-methyl-4-oxo-trans-decahydroquinoline with lithium acetylide a mixture of stereoisomeric 4-cis-hydroxy-2e-methyl- and 4-trans-hydroxy-2e-methyl-4-ethynyl-trans-decahydroquinolines was obtained in 3:2 ratio. Their reaction with acetonitrile in the presence of sulfuric acid (Ritter's reaction) results in a mixture of stereoisomeric 4-cis-acetylamino-2e-methyl- and 4-trans-acetylamino-2e-methyl-4-ethynyl-trans-decahydroquinolines in the same ratio. The ethynyl group of alcohols synthesized is not hydrated under conditions of Kuchrerov's reaction. The boiling of the alcohols with formic acid furnished a mixture of 4-acetyl-2e-methyl and 2e-methyl-4-ethynyl-1,2,3,6,7,8,9,10-octahydroquinolines in 1:7 ratio. The former of these compounds under conditions of Ritter's reaction yielded a mixture (1:1.4) of stereoisomeric 4-acetyl-4-trans-acetylamino- and 4-acetyl-4-cis-acetylamino-2e-methyl-trans-decahydroquinolines. From 2e-methyl-4-ethynyl-1,2,3,6,7,8,9,10-octahydroquinoline under the same conditions were obtained both already mentioned stereoisomeric 4-acetylamino-2e-methyl-4-ethynyl-decahydroquinolines (53% of cis-isomer and 35% of trans-isomer in the mixture) and 4-acetyl-4-acetylamino-2e-methyldecahydroquinolines (7% of cis-isomer and 5% of trans-isomer).  相似文献
