The effect of acidity on the precipitation of various bivalent metal 8-selenoquinoline and 8-mercaptoquinoline complexes has been systematically studied and compared. The metal ions were Zn(2+), Cd(2+), Pb(2+), Mn2+, Ni(2+), Cu(2+) and Co(2+). Most of the metal ions, except copper(II) and cobalt(II), precipitate as a. 1:2 complex, metal :ligand. However, in hydrochloric acid solution cadmium precipitates as CdR(2).2HCl and lead as PbR(2).2HCl or PbR.Cl. Copper(II) is reduced to copper(I) and precipitates as CuR.RH at pH above 2.0 and as CuR in strongly acidic solution. Cobalt(II) does not give a precipitate of composition but appears to precipitate as a mixture of CoR(2).RH and fixed CoR(2) or as other complexes. The reasons for the formation of the various types of precipitate are considered.  相似文献

The complexes formed by the simplest amino acid, glycine, with different bare and hydrated metal ions (Mn(2+), Fe(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+)) were studied in the gas phase and in solvent in order to give better insight into the field of the metal ion-biological ligand interactions. The effects of the size and charge of each cation on the organization of the surrounding water molecules were analyzed. Results in the gas phase showed that the zwitterion of glycine is the form present in the most stable complexes of all ions and that it usually gives rise to an eta(2)O,O coordination type. After the addition of solvation sphere, a resulting octahedral arrangement was found around Ni(2+), Co(2+), and Fe(2+), ions in their high-spin states, whereas the bipyramidal-trigonal (Mn(2+) and Zn(2+)) or square-pyramidal (Cu(2+)) geometries were observed for the other metal species, according to glycine behaves as bi- or monodentate ligand. Despite the fact that the zwitterionic structure is in the ground conformation in solution, its complexes in water are less stable than those obtained from the canonical form. Binding energy values decrease in the order Cu(2+) > Ni(2+) > Zn(2+) approximately Co(2+) > Fe(2+) > Mn(2+) and Cu(2+) > Ni(2+) > Mn(2+) approximately Zn(2+) > Fe(2+) > Co(2+) for M(2+)-Gly and Gly-M(2+) (H(2)O)(n) complexes, respectively. The nature of the metal ion-ligand bonds was examined by using natural bond order and charge decomposition analyses.  相似文献

The efficiency of Zn(2+), Cu(2+), Ni(2+), Co(2+), Fe(2+) or Mn(2+) labeling of the conformational and charge states of lysozyme was studied in H(2)O solvent at pH 2.5-6.8. Labeling of lysozyme was conducted with 50 M, 100 M and 500 M excess of the metal ion, resulting in the number of metal ions attached to lysozyme increasing two-fold over this range. At pH 6.2-6.8, Zn(2+), Cu(2+), Ni(2+), Co(2+) and Mn(2+) labeled the highly folded 7+ conformer and the 8+ and 9+ partially unfolded conformers of lysozyme with the same number of metal ion tags, with only Fe(2+) exhibiting no labeling. Lysozyme conserved its charge after metal ion labeling which shows at each charge state the divalent metal ion is replacing two protons. As the pH is lowered to 4.7-5.0 and 2.5-2.9, the labeling of lysozyme by Zn(2+), Cu(2+), Ni(2+), Co(2+) or Mn(2+) decreased in efficiency due to increased competition from protons for the aspartate and glutamate binding sites. The metal ions preferentially labeled the highly folded 7+ and partially unfolded 8+ conformers, but labeling decreased as the charge of lysozyme increased. In contrast to the other metal ions, Fe(2+) exhibited labeling of lysozyme only at the lowest pH of 2.8. At higher pH, the oxidation of Fe(2+) and formation of hydroxy-bridged complexes probably make the Fe(2+) unreactive towards lysozyme.  相似文献

A series of four biphen (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) ligands, 2,2'-biphen (1), 3,3'-biphen (2), 2,2'-dimethylene-3,3'-biphen (3), and 2,3'-dimethylene-3,2'-biphen (4), is prepared by coupling and Friedl?nder methodology. The corresponding mononuclear Ru(II) complexes, [Ru(1-4)(Mebpy)(2)](2+) where Mebpy = 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine, are prepared. These complexes show long wavelength electronic absorptions at 441-452 nm and emissions at 622-641 nm. Metal-based oxidations occur in the range 1.18-1.21 V, and ligand-based reductions, at -1.20 to -1.30 V. The addition of Zn(2+), Cd(2+), or Hg(2+) ions results in a strong enhancement and red shift of the luminescence of complex Ru-3. Alkali and alkaline earth metal ions barely affect the luminescence of Ru-3 while transition metal ions such as Co(2+), Cu(2+), Ni(2+), and Mn(2+) lead to efficient quenching of the Ru-3 luminescence. The luminescence of Ru-2 and Ru-4 is quenched in the presence of Zn(2+) because of a conformationally induced reduction in electronic communication between the two phen halves of the ligand. The addition of Zn(2+) has only a slight effect on the luminescence of Ru-1 because of steric hindrance toward complexation.  相似文献

New dioxadiaza- and trioxadiaza-macrocycles containing one rigid dibenzofuran unit (DBF) and N-(2-aminoethyl) pendant arms were synthesized, N,N'-bis(2-aminoethyl)-[17](DBF)N(2)O(2) (L(1)) and N,N'-bis(2-aminoethyl)-[22](DBF)N(2)O(3) (L(2)), respectively. The binding properties of both macrocycles to metal ions and structural studies of their metal complexes were carried out. The protonation constants of both compounds and the stability constants of their complexes with Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Cd(2+), and Pb(2+) were determined at 298.2 K, in aqueous solutions, and at ionic strength 0.10 mol dm(-3) in KNO(3). Mononuclear complexes with both ligands were formed, and dinuclear complexes were only found for L(2). The thermodynamic binding affinities of the metal complexes of L(2) are lower than those of L(1) as expected, but the Pb(2+) complexes of both macrocycles exhibit close stability constant values. On the other hand, the binding affinities of Cd(2+) and Pb(2+) for L(1) are very high, when compared to those of Co(2+), Ni(2+) and Zn(2+). These interesting properties were explained by the presence of the rigid DBF moiety in the backbone of the macrocycle and to the special match between the macrocyclic cavity size and the studied larger metal ions. To elucidate the adopted structures of complexes in solution, the nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes with both ligands were further studied by UV-vis-NIR spectroscopy in DMSO-H(2)O 1 : 1 (v/v) solution. The copper(II) complexes were also studied by EPR spectroscopy in the same mixture of solvents. The crystal structure of the copper complex of L(1) was also determined. The copper(II) displays an octahedral geometry, the four nitrogen atoms forming the equatorial plane and two oxygen atoms, one from the DBF unit and the other one from the ether oxygen, in axial positions. One of the ether oxygens of the macrocycle is out of the coordination sphere. Our results led us to suggest that this geometry is also adopted by the Co(2+) to Zn(2+) complexes, and only the larger Cd(2+) and Pb(2+) manage to form complexes with the involvement of all the oxygen atoms of the macrocyclic backbone.  相似文献

Under experimental conditions in which the self-association of the adenine phosphates (AP), that is, of adenosine 5'-monophosphate (AMP(2-)) and adenosine 5'-diphosphate (ADP(3-)), is negligible, potentiometric pH titrations were carried out to determine the stabilities of the M(H;AP) and M(AP) complexes where M(2+)=Mg(2+), Ca(2+), Sr(2+), Ba(2+), Mn(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), or Cd(2+) (25 degrees C; I=0.1 M, NaNO(3)). It is concluded that in the M(H;AMP)(+) species M(2+) is bound at the adenine moiety and in the M(H;ADP) complexes at the diphosphate unit; however, the proton resides in both types of monoprotonated complexes at the phosphate residue. The stabilities of nearly all the M(AMP) and M(ADP)(-) complexes are significantly larger than what is expected for a sole coordination of M(2+) to the phosphate residue. This increased complex stability is attributed, in agreement with previous (1)H NMR shift studies and further information existing in the literature, to the formation of macrochelates of the phosphate-coordinated metal ions with N7 of the adenine residues. On the basis of recent measurements with simple phosphate monoesters and phosphonate ligands (R-MP(2-)) as well as with diphosphate monoesters (R-DP(3-)), where R is a noncoordinating and noninhibiting residue, the increased stabilities of the M(AMP) and M(ADP)(-) complexes due to the M(2+)-N7 interaction could be evaluated and the extent of macrochelate formation calculated. The results show that the formation degrees of the macrochelates for the complexes of the alkaline earth ions are small (about 15 % at the most), whereas for the 3d metal ions as well as for Zn(2+) and Cd(2+) the formation degrees vary between about 15 % (Mn(2+)) and 75 % (Ni(2+)) with values of about 40 and 50 % for Zn(2+) and Cu(2+), respectively. It is interesting to note, taking earlier results for M(ATP)(2-) complexes also into account (ATP(4-)=adenosine 5'-triphosphate), that for a given metal ion in nearly all instances the formation degrees of the macrochelates are within the error limits the same for M(AMP), M(ADP)(-) and M(ATP)(2-) complexes; except for Co(2+) and Ni(2+) it holds M(AMP) > M(ADP)(-) approximately M(ATP)(2-). This result is astonishing if one considers that the absolute stability constants of these complexes, which are determined largely by the affinity of the phosphate residues, can differ by more than two orders of magnitude. The impact and conclusions of these observations for biological systems are shortly lined out.  相似文献

Electrospray ionization Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (ESI-FTICRMS) was used to investigate metal ion interactions of the 18 amino acid peptide fragment B18 (LGLLLRHLRHHSNLLANI), derived from the membrane-associated protein bindin. The peptide sequence B18 represents the minimal membrane-binding motif of bindin and resembles a putative fusion peptide. The histidine-rich peptide has been shown to self-associate into distinct supramolecular structures, depending on the presence of Zn(2+) and Cu(2+). We examined the binding of B18 to the metal ions Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Mg(2+), Ca(2+), Mn(2+) and La(3+). For Cu(2+), we compared the metal binding affinities of the wild-type B18 peptide with those of its mutants in which one, two or three histidine residues have been replaced by serines. Upon titration of B18 with Cu(2+) ions, we found sequential binding of two Cu(2+) ions with dissociation constants of approximately 34 and approximately 725 micro M. Mutants of B18, in which one histidine residue is replaced by serine, still exhibit sequential binding of two copper ions with affinities for the first Cu(2+) ion comparable to that of wild-type B18 peptide, but with a greatly reduced affinity for the second Cu(2+) ion in mutants H112S and H113S. For mutants in which two histidines are replaced by serines, the affinity for the first Cu(2+) ion is reduced approximately 3-10 times in comparison with B18. The mutant in which all three histidine residues are replaced by serines exhibits an approximately 14-fold lower binding for the first Cu(2+) ion compared with B18. For the other metal ions under investigation (Zn(2+), Mg(2+), Ca(2+), Mn(2+) and La(3+)), a modest affinity to B18 was detected binding to the peptide in a 1 : 1 stoichiometry. Our results show a high affinity of the wild-type fusogenic peptide B18 for Cu(2+) ions whereas the Zn(2+) affinity was found to be comparable to that of other di- and trivalent metal ions.  相似文献

The stability constants of the 1:1 complexes formed between Mg(2+), Ca(2+), Sr(2+), Ba(2+), Mn(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), or Cd(2+) (=M(2+)) and 1-methyl-4-aminobenzimidazole (MABI) or 1,4-dimethylbenzimidazole (DMBI) were determined by potentiometric pH titrations in aqueous solution (25 degrees C; I = 0.5 M, NaNO(3)). Some of the stability constants were also measured by UV spectrophotometry. The acidity constants of the species H(2)(MABI)(2+) and H(DMBI)(+) were determined by the same methods, some twice. Comparison of the stability constants of the M(MABI)(2+) and M(DMBI)(2+) complexes with those calculated from log versus p straight-line plots, which were established previously for sterically unhindered benzimidazole-type ligands (=L), reveals that the stabilities of the M(MABI)(2+) and M(DMBI)(2+) complexes are significantly reduced due to steric effects of the C4 substituents on metal ion binding at N3. This effect is more pronounced in the M(DMBI)(2+) complexes. Considering the steric equivalence of methyl and (noncoordinating) amino groups (as they occur in adenines), it is concluded that the same extent of steric inhibition by the (C6)NH(2) group is to be expected on metal ion binding at N7 with adenine derivatives. The basicity of the amino group in MABI is significantly higher than in its corresponding adenine derivative. Indeed, it is concluded that in the M(MABI)(2+) complexes chelate formation involving the amino group occurs to some extent. The formation degrees of these "closed" species are calculated; they vary for the complexes of Mn(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), or Cd(2+) between about 50 and 90%. The stability of the M(MABI)(2+) and M(DMBI)(2+) complexes with the alkaline earth ions is very low but unaffected by the C4 substituent; this probably indicates that in these instances outersphere complexes (with a water molecule between N3 and the metal ion) are formed.  相似文献

The complexation of urea (ur) with manganese(II), nickel(II) and zinc(II) ions has been studied by titration calorimetry in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) containing 0.4M (C(2)H(5))(4) NBF(4) as a constant ionic medium at 25 degrees C. The calorimetric data were well explained in terms of the formation of [Mn(ur)](2+), [Mn(ur)(2)](2+) and [Mn(ur)(4)](2+) for manganese(II), [Ni(ur)](2+) for nickel(II) and [Zn(ur)](2+) and [Zn(ur)(2)](2+) for zinc(II), and their formation constants, reaction enthalpies and entropies were determined. The complexation of the nickel(II)-urea system in DMF has also been studied by means of spectrophotometric titration and electronic spectra of individual nickel(II) complexes were determined. On the basis of the stepwise thermodynamic quantities and the individual electronic spectra of the complexes, it is revealed that the [Mn(ur)](2+), [Mn(ur)(2)](2+), [Ni(ur)](2+), [Zn(ur)](2+) and [Zn(ur)(2)](2+) complexes have a six-coordinate octahedral structure, while the [Mn(ur)(4)](2+) complex has a four-coordinate tetrahedral structure.  相似文献

Electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (ESI-MS/MS) is applied for the investigation of C(2)-ceramide complexes with transition metal ions. Ceramide plays an important role in the regulation of various signaling pathways leading to proliferation, differentiation or apoptotic cell death. The formation and fragmentation of doubly charged cluster ions as well as singly charged cluster ions of C(2)-ceramide with transition metal ions (Mn(2+), Fe(2+), Co(2+) and Ni(2+)) are studied by ESI-MS/MS in the positive mode. Tube lens offset voltage and concentrations of C(2)-ceramide and transition metals are optimized to determine the best conditions for generating doubly charged cluster ions. The fragmentation pathways of metal ion complexes with C(2)-ceramide and the compositions of these complexes are determined by collision induced dissociation (CID). All transition metal ions (Mn(2+), Fe(2+), Co(2+) and Ni(2+) except Cu(2+)) shows similar complexation with C(2) ceramide. The unique complexation behavior of copper(II) is responsible for the different geometry of the complexes and relatively lower affinity of ceramide to copper(II) than those to other transition metals.  相似文献

Development and applications of fluorescent indicators for Mg2+ and Zn2+   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In a study of the spectroscopic behavior of two Schiff base derivatives, salicylaldehyde salicylhydrazone (1) and salicylaldehyde benzoylhydrazone (2), Schiff base 1 has high selectivity for Zn(2+) ion not only in abiotic systems but also in living cells. The ion selectivity of 1 for Zn(2+) can be switched for Mg(2+) by swapping the solvent from ethanol-water to DMF (N,N-dimethylformamide)-water mixtures. Imine 2 is a good fluorescent probe for Zn(2+) in ethanol-water media. Many other ions tested, such as Li(+), Na(+), Al(3+), K(+), Ca(2+), Cr(3+), Mn(2+), Fe(3+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Ag(+), Cd(2+), Sn(2+), Ba(2+), Hg(2+), and Pb(2+), failed to induce any spectral change in various solvents. The selectivity mechanism of 1 and 2 for metal ions is based on a combinational effect of proton transfer (ESPT), C═N isomerization, and chelation-enhanced fluorescence (CHEF). The coordination modes of the complexes were investigated.  相似文献

A study of the transport of Cd(2+) ions through a triisooctylamine (TIOA)-sorbitan monooleate (Span 80)-dimethylbenzene liquid membrane has been performed with varying concentrations of HCl, KI, TIOA, Span 80 and NaOH in the feed, membrane and stripping solutions. Maximum transport was observed with 0.025 M HCl, 0.01 M KI, 0.02 M TIOA, 3% (w/v) Span 80 and 0.05 M NaOH. With this system cadmium could be completely separated with Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Fe(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Mn(2+), Cr(3+) and Al(3+). The transport mechanism of this metal ions through the membrane has been discussed.  相似文献

The formation and dissociation rates of some transition metal(II) and lanthanide(III) complexes of the 1,7,13-triaza-4,10,16-trioxacyclooctadecane N',N',N'-triacetic acid (1) and 1,7,13-triaza-4,10,16-trioxacyclooctadecane-N',N',N'- trimethylacetic acid (2) have been measured by the use of stopped-flow and conventional spectrophotometry. Experimental observations were made at 25.0 +/- 0.1 degrees C and at an ionic strength of 0.10 M KCl. The complexation of Zn(2+) and Cu(2+) ions with 1 and 2 proceeds through the formation of an intermediate complex (MH(3)L(+) *) in which the metal ion is incompletely coordinated. This may then lead to a final product in the rate-determining step. Between pH 4.68 and 5.55, the diprotonated (H(2)L(-)) form is revealed to be a kinetically active species despite its low concentration. The stability constants (log K (MH (3)L (+) *)) and specific base-catalyzed rate constants (k(OH)) of intermediate complexes have been determined from the kinetic data. The dissociation reactions of 1 and 2 complexes of Co(2+), Ni(2+), Zn(2+), Ce(3+), Eu(3+) and Yb(3+) were investigated with Cu(2+) ions as a scavenger in acetate buffer. All complexes exhibit acid-independent and acid-catalyzed contributions. The buffer and Cu(2+) concentration dependence on the dissociation rate has also been investigated. The metal and ligand effects on the dissociation rate of some transition metal(II) and lanthanide(III) complexes are discussed in terms of the ionic radius of the metal ions, the side-pendant arms and the rigidity of the ligands.  相似文献

The behavior of selenocystine (SeCyst) alone or in the presence of various metal ions (Bi(3+), Cd(2+), Co(2+), Cu(2+), Cr(3+), Ni(2+), Pb(2+), and Zn(2+)) was studied using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) over a wide pH range. Voltammetric data matrices were analyzed using chemometric tools recently developed for nonlinear data: pHfit and Gaussian Peak Adjustment (GPA). Under the experimental conditions tested, no evidence was found for the formation of metal complexes with Bi(3+), Cu(2+), Cr(3+), and Pb(2+). In contrast, SeCyst formed electroinactive complexes with Co(2+) and Ni(2+) and kinetically inert but electroactive complexes with Cd(2+) and Zn(2+). Titrations with Cd(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), and Zn(2+) produced data that were reasonably consistent with the formation of stable 1:1 M(SeCyst) complexes.  相似文献

Electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry was used to study the effects of the metal ion identity and π-cation interactions on the dissociation pathways of metal-bis(peptide) complexes, where the metal is either Mn(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), or Zn(2+); and the peptide is either FGGF, GGGG, GF, or GG, where G is glycine and F is phenylalanine. The [(FGGF)(FGGF-H) + M(2+)](+) and [(GGGG)(GGGG-H) + M(2+)](+) complexes dissociated by losing one FGGF or GGGG, respectively. Relative binding affinities were measured using the crossover points, where the parent and product ions were equal in ion abundance and a normalized-collision energy scale. The results indicate the relative binding affinities for FGGF and GGGG follow the same order with respect to the transition metal ion identity: Cu(2+) < Ni(2+) < Mn(2+) ≈ Zn(2+) < Co(2+), and the π-cation interactions in the FGGF complex have a measureable stabilizing effect. In contrast, the main fragmentation channels of [(GF)(GF-H) + M(2+)]+ and [(GG)(GG-H) + M(2+)](+) are loss of CO(2) and 2CO(2) with the [(GF)(GF-H) + M(2+)](+) complex also exhibiting cinnamic acid ,GF, residual glycine, cinnamate and styrene loss.  相似文献

Interaction of the lacunary [alpha-XW9O33](9-) (X = As(III), Sb(III)) with Cu(2+) and Zn(2+) ions in neutral, aqueous medium leads to the formation of dimeric polyoxoanions, [(alpha-XW9O33)2M3(H2O)3](12-) (M = Cu(2+), Zn(2+); X = As(III), Sb(III)), in high yield. The selenium and tellurium analogues of the copper-containing heteropolyanions are also reported: [(alpha-XW9O33)2Cu3(H2O)3](10-) (X = Se(IV), Te(IV)). The polyanions consist of two [alpha-XW9O33] units joined by three equivalent Cu(2+) (X = As, Sb, Se, Te) or Zn(2+) (X = As, Sb) ions. All copper and zinc ions have one terminal water molecule resulting in square-pyramidal coordination geometry. Therefore, the title anions have idealized D3h symmetry. The space between the three transition metal ions is occupied by three sodium ions (M = Cu(2+), Zn(2+); X = As(III), Sb(III)) or potassium ions (M = Cu(2+); X = Se(IV), Te(IV)) leading to a central belt of six metal atoms alternating in position. Reaction of [alpha-AsW9O33](9-) with Zn(2+), Co(2+), and Mn(2+) ions in acidic medium (pH = 4-5) results in the same structural type but with a lower degree of transition-metal substitution, [(alpha-AsW9O33)2WO(H2O)M2(H2O)2](10-) (M = Zn(2+), Co(2+), Mn(2+)). All nine compounds are characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. The solution properties of [(alpha-XW9O33)2Zn3(H2O)3](12-) (X = As(III), Sb(III)) were also studied by 183W-NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

A polypyridyl ligand, 2,3,6,7,10,11-hexakis(2-pyridyl)dipyrazino[2,3-f:2',3'-h]quinoxaline (HPDQ), was found to have excellent fluorescent selectivity for Cd(2+) over many other metal ions (K(+), Na(+), Ca(2+), Mg(2+), Mn(2+), Fe(2+), Ni(2+), Co(2+), Cu(2+), Ag(+), Hg(2+), Zn(2+), and Cr(3+)) based on the intramolecular charge-transfer mechanism, which makes HPDQ a potential fluorescence sensor or probe for Cd(2+). An obvious color change between HPDQ and HPDQ + Cd(2+) can be visually observed by the naked eye. The structure of the complex HPDQ-Cd has been characterized by X-ray crystallography. Density functional theory calculation results on the HPDQ and HPDQ-Cd complexes could explain the experimental results.  相似文献

Abstract

The complexations of a new ligand, o-(2-thiazolylazo)-4-ethylphenol(TAEP) with Ca(II), Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hq(II) and Pb(II) have been studied by potentiometric titrations, at 25.0 ± 0.2°C and an ionic strength of 0.1 in 30% v/v dioxane-water mixture. The dissociation constant and spectral data of TAEP and formation constants of the complexes containing various molar ratios of metal ion to ligand, are reported. It is observed that Ca(II) forms only an ML complex in any molar ratios, whereas other metal ions react in two steps forming ML and ML2 complexes in a 1:3 molar ratio. In the case of 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratios, Mn(II), Co(II), Cd(II) and Hg(II) seemed to form bi- or poly-nuclear complexes because of slightly different formation curves from those of 1:3 molar ratio. The sequence of the first successive formation constant is Cu > Hg > Ni > Pb > Co > Zn > Cd > Mn > Ca, showing Mellor-Maley's order. Further correlation is shown between the formation constants and the second ionization potentials of the metals.  相似文献

The possibility of using a sulphonated aromatic organic complexing agent-Xylenol Orange-for separation of metal ions on the macroreticular anion-exchanger Amberlyst A-26 has been investigated. The dependence of retention on pH was determined by the batch method for Al(3+), Cr(3+), Mn(3+), Fe(3+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), Cu(2+), Zn(2+), Ga(3+), Rh(3+) Cd(2+), In(3+), Ir(3+), and Pb(2+). The selectivity differences make possible the separation of some of these metal ions. The following mixtures, of practical importance, have been separated: Al(3+)-In(3+), Ga(3+)-In(3+) Zn(2+)-In(3+), Cu(2+)-Mn(2+), in various ratios. The method has been applied to analysis of Ga-In alloy.  相似文献
