The ternary MoO3-La2O3-B2O3 glasses containing a large amount of MoO3 (10-50 mol%) are prepared, and their structure and crystallization behavior are examined from the Raman scattering spectrum measurements and X-ray diffraction analyses. It is found that the glass transition and crystallization temperatures and the thermal stability against crystallization decrease with increasing MoO3 content. It is suggested that the main coordination state of Mo6+ ions in the glasses is isolated (MoO4)2− tetrahedral units giving strong Raman bands at 830-860 and 930 cm−1. It is found that the crystalline phases in the crystallized glasses are mainly LaMoBO6 and LaB3O6, and the main crystallization mechanism in MoO3-La2O3-B2O3 glasses is surface crystallization. LaMoBO6 crystals are found to give strong Raman bands at 810-830 and ∼910 cm−1.  相似文献

Li2O-CaF2-P2O5 glasses mixed with different concentrations of TiO2 (ranging from 0 to 0.8 mol%) were crystallized at 500 °C. The photo luminescence spectra of these samples excited with the wavelengths corresponding to their absorption edges have been recorded at room temperature. The spectra exhibited an emission band in the wavelength region 470-500 nm. The emission band is identified due to the charge transfer from O2− ion in to empty 3d orbital of octahedrally positioned Ti4+ ions. The analysis of the results further indicates the highest luminescence efficiency for the glass ceramic sample crystallized with 0.6 mol% of TiO2.  相似文献

Magnesium aluminate (MgAl2O4) doped with trivalent chromium (Cr3+) was synthesized by the combustion method. The prepared sample was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, Brunauer-Emmet-Teller (BET) adsorption isotherms and diffuse-reflectance UV-vis spectroscopy techniques. Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and photoluminescence (PL) studies have been performed at room temperature and at 110 K. The EPR spectrum exhibit resonance signals at g=5.37, 4.53, 3.82, 2.26 and 1.96 characteristic of Cr3+ ions. The luminescence of Cr3+-activated MgAl2O4 exhibits a red emission peak around 686 nm from the synthesized phosphor particles upon 551 nm excitation. The luminescence is assigned to a transition from the upper 2Eg4A2g ground state of Cr3+ ions. By correlating EPR and optical data the crystal field splitting parameter (Dq), Racah inter-electronic repulsion parameter (B) and the bonding parameters have been evaluated and discussed. The bonding parameters suggests that the ionic nature of Cr3+ ions with the ligands and the Cr3+ ions are in distorted octrahedral environment.  相似文献

New germanosilicate glasses giving the crystallization of yttrium iron garnet Y3Fe5O12 (YIG) and Bi-doped YIG, 23Na2O-xBi2O3-(12−x)Y2O3-25Fe2O3-20SiO2-20GeO2 (mol%), are developed, and the laser-induced crystallization technique is applied to the glasses to pattern YIG and Bi-doped YIG crystals on the glass surface. It is clarified from the Mössbauer effect measurements that iron ions in the glasses are present mainly as Fe3+. It is suggested from the X-ray diffraction analyses and magnetization measurements that Si4+ ions are incorporated into YIG crystals formed in the crystallization of glasses. The irradiations (laser power: 32-60 mW and laser scanning speed: 7 μm/s) of continuous wave Yb:YVO4 fiber laser (wavelength: 1080 nm) are found to induce YIG and Bi-doped YIG crystals, indicating that Fe3+ ions in the glasses act as suitable transition metal ions for the laser-induced crystallization. It is suggested that YIG and Bi-doped YIG crystals in the laser irradiated part might orient. The present study will be a first step for the patterning of magnetic crystals containing iron ions in glasses.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the spectral results of Dy3+ and Pr3+ (1.0 mol%) ions doped Bi2O3-ZnF2-B2O3-Li2O-Na2O glasses. Measurements of X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) profiles of these rare-earth ions doped glasses have been carried out. From the DSC thermograms, glass transition (Tg), crystallization (Tc) and melting (Tm) temperatures have been evaluated. The direct and indirect optical band gaps have been calculated based on the glasses UV absorption spectra. The emission spectrum of Dy3+:glass has shown two emission transitions 4F7/26H15/2 (482 nm) and 4F7/26H13/2 (576 nm) with an excitation at 390 nm wavelength and Pr3+:glass has shown a strong emission transition 1D23H4 (610 nm) with an excitation at 445 nm. Upon exposure to UV radiation, Dy3+ and Pr3+ glasses have shown bright yellow and reddish colors, respectively, from their surfaces.  相似文献

Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor films have been developed by using the sol-gel process. Comprehensive characterization methods such as Photoluminescent (PL) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy were used to characterize the Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor films. In this experiment, the XRD profiles show that the Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor films crystallization temperature and optimum annealing temperature occur at about 650 and 750 °C, respectively. The optimum dopant concentration is 12 mol% Eu3+ and the critical transfer distance (Rc) among Eu3+ ions is calculated to be about 0.84 nm. Vacuum environment is more efficient than oxygen and nitrogen to eliminate the OH content and hence yields higher luminescent phosphor films. The PL emission intensity of Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor films is also dependent on the annealing time. It was found that the H2O impurities were effectively eliminated after annealing time of 25 s at 750 °C in vacuum environment. From the experiment results, the schematic energy band diagram of Y2O3:Eu3+ phosphor films is constructed.  相似文献

CaAl2O4:Eu2+ co-doped with varying concentrations of Er3+ was prepared by solid-state reaction method. Prepared materials with 1 mol% Eu2+ and 2-10 mol% of Er3+ were investigated for their photoluminescence properties. Phase, morphology and crystalline structure were investigated by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Broad band UV-excited luminescence was observed for CaAl2O4:Eu2+, Er3+ in the blue region (λmax=440 nm) due to transitions from 4f65d1 to the 4f7 configuration of the Eu2+ ion. The Er3+ ion co-doping generates deep traps, which results in longer decay time for phosphorescence.  相似文献

3-mol% Y2O3 and 0.3 to 3-mol % Cr2O3 co-doped ZrO2 nanopowders were synthesized using co-precipitation technique and investigated by terms of X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Structural analysis shows no significant impact of chromium on powders structure except of presence of small amount of m-phase. Surface analysis reveals segregation of yttrium and chromium atoms to the surface along with surface enrichment by oxygen that can be attributed to residual water. Chromium surface atoms present in three oxidation states with catalytically active Cr2+ sites possibly controlling m-phase appearance through lattice distortion.  相似文献

ZnO-Sb2O3-B2O3 glasses containing different concentrations of MnO ranging from 0 to 1.0 mol% were prepared. A number of studies, viz. optical absorption, infrared and ESR spectra and magnetic susceptibility, were carried out as a function of manganese ion concentration. The analysis of the results indicate that manganese ions mostly exist in Mn2+ state in these glasses when the concentration of MnO≤0.6 mol% and above this concentration, these ions seem to exist in Mn3+ state in the glass network.  相似文献

Nanosized ZnGa2O4:Cr3+ powder is synthesized through hydrothermal method. The average particle size is 20 nm and they are spherical in shape. The excitation band from the charge transfer between Cr3+-O2− shows a blueshift behavior due to quantum confinement effect. X-ray diffraction pattern, Fourier transform-infrared spectrum, and electron paramagnetic resonance signal indicate that nanosized ZnGa2O4:Cr3+ phosphor shows many defect-related energy states and heavy lattice distortion in comparison with bulk ZnGa2O4:Cr3+ phosphor. Many defect states result in more nonradiative loss and shorter decay time.  相似文献

5 mol% of Pr3+ and Tm3+ ions activated calcium gadolinium tungstate (Ca2Gd2W3O14) phosphors were synthesized by traditional solid state reaction method. Crystalline phase structure was identified from the X-ray diffraction (XRD) profiles. From the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images, we have observed the agglomeration of the particles, and average grain size is around 40-300 nm. Using the energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectra, identified the elements and functional groups present in the prepared phosphors. The emission spectrum of Pr3+: Ca2Gd2W3O14 powder phosphors have shown an intense red emission at 615 nm with the excitation wavelength λexci=450 nm and thus these red color emitting powder phosphors are used as one of the components in the preparation of WLEDs. The excitation spectrum of Tm3+: Ca2Gd2W3O14 powder phosphor has shown a ligand to metal charge transfer (W-O) band (LMCT) within the WO42− group. Emission spectrum of Tm3+: Ca2Gd2W3O14 phosphors have shown blue emissions at 453 nm (1D23F4).  相似文献

Cr/SiO2 catalysts with 1 or 3 wt.% Cr loadings and different chromium precursors were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). A method to determine chromium species in the sample was developed through the decomposition of the Cr 2p XPS spectrum in Cr6+ and Cr3+ standard spectra. The results of the binding energy from the Cr 2p region and of the distribution of chromium species allowed to evaluate the dynamic photo-reduction of the surface chromium species during XPS analysis. Photo-reduction of surface Cr6+ to Cr3+ species was verified for all samples supported in silica, depending on the precursor and chromium content. Bulk CrO3 and Cr2O3 standards did not reveal variation in the binding energy of Cr 2p3/2, but a physical mixture of CrO3 with SiO2 presented photo-reduction. The behavior of this mixture resembled to the catalysts and suggests the participation of the surface hydroxyls of silica in the photo-reduction process. XPS intensity measurements for assessing dispersion of chromium oxide were used to compare the calcined and reduced catalysts to different chromium precursors. Polyethylene chains were detected by in situ XPS, while oligomerization products were not observed.  相似文献

The present investigation is related to the deposition of single-phase nano-sheets spinel nickel ferrite (NiFe2O4) thin films onto glass substrates using a chemical method. Nano-sheets nickel ferrite films were deposited from an alkaline bath containing Ni2+ and Fe2+ ions. The films were characterized for their structural, surface morphological and electrical properties by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and two-point probe electrical resistivity techniques. The X-ray diffraction pattern showed that NiFe2O4 nano-sheets are oriented along (3 1 1) plane. The FT-IR spectra of NiFe2O4 films showed strong absorption peaks around 600 and 400 cm−1 which are typical for cubic spinel crystal structure. Microstructural study of NiFe2O4 film revealed nano-sheet like morphology with average sheet thickness of 30 nm. The room temperature electrical resistivity of the NiFe2O4 nano-sheets was 107 Ω cm.  相似文献

Glass formation has been investigated in the Sb2O3-ZnBr2 binary system. Vitreous samples have been obtained for batches containing 20-90 mol% Sb2O3. Chemical analysis shows that bromine concentration is smaller than expected and real compositions belong to the Sb2O3-ZnBr2-ZnO ternary system. However, the discrepancy between nominal and analyzed compositions is fair for Sb2O3 content larger than 50 mol%. Optical transmission lies between 400 nm and 7 μm and refractive index ranges from 2.0 to 2.1. Glass transition occurs around 300 °C, and crystallization exotherm does not appear in the differential scanning calorimetry scan at 10 K s−1 for samples containing 50-60 mol% Sb2O3. Thermal expansion varies between 120 and 220×10−7 K−1 as antimony content decreases. Microhardness is close to 200 kg/mm2. These glasses have low phonon energy and make potential materials for infrared transmission and active fibers.  相似文献

Spinel LiMn2O4 and LiMn1.4Cr0.2Ni0.4O4 cathode materials were successfully synthesized by the citric-acid-assisted sol-gel method with ultrasonic irradiation stirring. The structure and electrochemical performance of the as-prepared powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectrometer, cyclic voltamogram (CV) and the galvanostatic charge-discharge test in detail. XRD shows that all the samples have high phase purity, and the powders are well crystallized. SEM exhibits that LiMn1.4Cr0.2Ni0.4O4 has more uniform cubic-structure morphology than that of LiMn2O4. EDX reveals that a small amount of Mn3+ still exists in LiMn1.4Cr0.2Ni0.4O4. The galvanostatic charge-discharge test indicates that the initial discharge capacities for the LiMn1.4Cr0.2Ni0.4O4 and LiMn2O4 at 0.15 C discharge rates are 130.8 and 130.2 mAh g−1, respectively. After 50 cycles, their capacity are 94.1% and 85.1%, respectively. The CV curve implies that Ni and Cr dual substitutions are beneficial to the reversible intercalation and deintercalation of Li+, and suppress Mn3+ generation at high temperatures and provide improved structural stability.  相似文献

Nanocomposite made of 10 wt% of Co2.4Al0.6O4 particles dispersed in an amorphous SiO2 matrix has been synthesized by a sol-gel method. X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and magnetic measurements have been used to characterize the properties of nanocomposite. Most of the particles are well crystallized and have an average diameter below 100 nm. Smaller particles with size below 10 nm have also been observed. A large value of the effective magnetic moment per Co2+ ion of 5.08 μB and negative and the low Curie-Weiss paramagnetic temperature Θ∼−6 K, obtained from the high-temperature susceptibility data, indicate a possible mixing of Co2+ and Co3+ ions between tetrahedral and octahedral sites of the spinel crystal lattice. The measurements of static and dynamic magnetic susceptibilities have shown that Co2.4Al0.6O4 particles in SiO2 matrix display a spin glass behavior at low temperatures.  相似文献

Uniform and crack free polycrystalline lutetium oxide (Lu2O3:(Eu,Pr)) films were fabricated by Pechini sol-gel method combined with the spin-coating technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscope (AFM) characterizations indicated that the obtained film was composed of polycrystalline cubic Lu2O3 phase with an average grain size around 30 nm. The photoluminescence(PL) spectra and decay performances of the Lu2O3:5 mol% Eu films co-doped by 0-0.5 mol% Pr3+ with different concentrations were characterized. It was found that the afterglow was reduced obviously due to the introduction of 0-0.5 mol% Pr3+ in the Lu2O3:5 mol% Eu films coupled by decrease in the emission intensity at 612 nm. The mechanism of afterglow diminishing was discussed based on the thermoluminescence measurements.  相似文献

Electron energy loss spectra (ELS) have been obtained from polycrystalline Cr and Cr2O3 before and after surface reduction by 2 keV Ar+ bombardment. The primary electron energy used in the ELS measurements was systematically varied from 100 to 1150 eV in order to distinguish surface versus bulk loss processes. Two predominant loss features in the ELS spectra obtained from Cr metal at 9.0 and 23.0 eV are assigned to the surface and bulk plasmon excitations, respectively, and a number of other features arising from single electron transitions from both the bulk and surface Cr 3d bands to higher-lying states in the conduction band are also present. The ELS spectra obtained from Cr2O3 exhibit features that originate from both interband transitions and charge-transfer transitions between the Cr and O ions as well as the bulk plasmon at 24.4 eV. The ELS feature at 4.0 eV arises from a charge-transfer transition between the oxygen and chromium ions in the two surface layers beneath the chemisorbed oxygen layer, and the ELS feature at 9.8 eV arises from a similar transition involving the chemisorbed oxygen atoms. The intensity of the ELS peak at 9.8 eV decreases after Ar+ sputtering due to the removal of chemisorbed oxygen atoms. Sputtering also increases the number of Cr2+ states on the surface, which in turn increases the intensity of the 4.0 eV feature. Furthermore, the ELS spectra obtained from the sputtered Cr2O3 surface exhibit features characteristic of both Cr0 and Cr2O3, indicating that Ar+ sputtering reduces Cr2O3. The fact that neither the surface- nor the bulk-plasmon features of Cr0 can be observed in the ELS spectra obtained from sputtered Cr2O3 while the loss features due to Cr0 interband transitions are clearly present indicates that Cr0 atoms form small clusters lacking a bulk metallic nature during Ar+ bombardment of Cr2O3.  相似文献

We have studied upconversion luminescence of colloidal solution of Y2O3 nano-particles codoped with 1 mol% Er3+ and 5 mol% Yb3+. Y2O3 nano-particles codoped with 1 mol% Er3+ and 5 mol% Yb3+ show sintering and agglomeration, because they are synthesized by firing a hydroxy carbonate precursor. Colloidal solution of Y2O3 nano-particles codoped with 1 mol% Er3+ and 5 mol% Yb3+ is prepared through two-step dispersion process and the average diameter of the primary nano-particles is about 50 nm. Under excitation with 980-nm laser diode, upconversion luminescence of colloidal solution of the primary Y2O3 nano-particles codoped with 1 mol% Er3+ and 5 mol% Yb3+ in methyl isobuthyl ketone strongly appeared near 660 nm and weakly near 550 nm.  相似文献

In this study, a solution combustion method was used to prepare green emitting Ce3+–Tb3+ co-activated ZnAl2O4 phosphor. The samples were annealed at 700 °C in air or hydrogen atmosphere to improve their crystallinity and optical properties. X-ray diffraction study confirmed that both as-prepared and post-preparation annealed samples crystallized in the well known cubic spinel structure of ZnAl2O4. An agglomeration of irregular platelet-like particles whose surfaces were encrusted with smaller spheroidal particles was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The fluorescence data collected from the annealed samples with different concentrations of Ce3+ and Tb3+ show the enhanced green emission at 543 nm associated with 5D47F5 transitions of Tb3+. The enhancement was attributed to energy transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+. Possible mechanism of energy transfer via a down conversion process is discussed. Furthermore, cathodoluminescence (CL) intensity degradation of this phosphor was also investigated and the degradation data suggest that the material was chemically stable and the CL intensity was also stable after 10 h of irradiation by a beam of high energy electrons.  相似文献
