A generally covariant wave equation is derived geometrically for grand unified field theory. The equation states most generally that the covariant d'Alembertian acting on the vielbein vanishes for the four fields which are thought to exist in nature: gravitation, electromagnetism, weak field and strong field. The various known field equations are derived from the wave equation when the vielbein is the eigenfunction. When the wave equation is applied to gravitation the wave equation is the eigenequation of wave mechanics corresponding to Einstein's field equation in classical mechanics, the vielbein eigenfunction playing the role of the quantized gravitational field. The three Newton laws, Newton's law of universal gravitation, and the Poisson equation are recovered in the classical and nonrelativistic, weak-field limits of the quantized gravitational field. The single particle wave-equation and Klein-Gordon equations are recovered in the relativistic, weak-field limit of the wave equation when scalar components are considered of the vielbein eigenfunction of the quantized gravitational field. The Schrödinger equation is recovered in the non-relativistec, weak-field limit of the Klein-Gordon equation). The Dirac equation is recovered in this weak-field limit of the quantized gravitational field (the nonrelativistic limit of the relativistic, quantezed gravitational field when the vielbein plays the role of the spinor. The wave and field equations of O(3) electrodynamics are recovered when the vielbein becomes the relativistic dreibein (triad) eigenfunction whose three orthonormal space indices become identified with the three complex circular indices (1), (2), (3), and whose four spacetime indices are the indices of non-Euclidean spacetime (the base manifold). This dreibein is the potential dreibein of the O(3) electromagnetic field (an electromagnetic potential four-vector for each index (1), (2), (3)). The wave equation of the parity violating weak field is recovered when the orthonormal space indices of the relativistic dreibein eigenfunction are identified with the indices of the three massive weak field bosons. The wave equation of the strong field is recovered when the orthonormal space indices of the relativistic vielbein eigenfunction become the eight indices defined by the group generators of the SU (3) group.  相似文献

The movement of a two-level atom interacting with an electromagnetic wave and subject to gravitation is studied using the path-integral formalism. The propagator is first of all written in the standard form by replacing the spin by two fermionic oscillators; then it is determined exactly due to the auxiliary equation which has a cylindric parabolic function as a solution. By the method of the eigen mode expansion, a full three-dimensional (3-D) model has been developed that can be used to investigate the beam-wave interaction in a high-power, Ka-band relativistic coupled-cavity traveling-wave tube (TWT). In the tube studied by us, a sever in the interaction section is used to restrain the oscillation of RF electromagnetic fields between the input and output end. In this case, the asymmetric hybrid HTM11 mode has little impact on the main interaction process [1,2], so the RF electromagnetic fields mainly interacting with the modulated electron beam belong to the symmetric mode TM01. The presented model includes three-dimensional RF fields, three-dimensional electron motions, and improved three-dimensional space-charge fields including dc and ac space-charge fields. Moreover, this model can also calculate backward radiation excited by modulated electron beam and the direct effect of the transverse electron motion on the energy exchange. Our calculation results show that the space-charge field has evident effect on the interaction process, the transverse electron motion has some, and the backward radiation has little.  相似文献

Structural response properties of fermionic fields are investigated. In the presence of fermions the key technical concept becomes response combination, or R-normal product, of field operators. It generalises the notion of time-normal operator product to response problems. Time-normal products are a special case of R-normal products without inputs; this paper thus also generalises the concept of time-normal ordering to fermions. Explicit causality of R-normal products of arbitrary (bosonic and/or fermionic) field operators is proven, and explicit relations expressing them by conventional Green’s functions of quantum field theory are derived.  相似文献

The unification of the gravitational and electromagnetic fields achieved geometrically in the generally covariant unified field theory of Evans implies that electromagnetism is the spinning of spacetime and gravitation is the curving of spacetime. The homogeneous unified field equation of Evans is a balance of spacetime spin and curvature and governs the influence of electromagnetism on gravitation using the first Bianchi identity of differential geometry. The second Bianchi identity of differential geometry is shown to lead to the conservation law of the Evans unified field, and also to a generalization of the Einstein field equation for the unified field. Rigorous mathematical proofs are given in appendices of the four equations of differential geometry which are the cornerstones of the Evans unified field theory: the first and second Maurer-Cartan structure relations and the first and second Bianchi identities. As an example of the theory, the origin of wavenumber and frequency is traced to elements of the torsion tensor of spinning spacetime.  相似文献

A mechanism is proposed for rotation of magnetic assemblies by a torque consisting of the magnetic dipole moment of the assembly and a magnetic field generated from space–time in Einstein–Cartan–Evans (ECE) field theory. It is shown that when the magnetic assembly is stationary, the space–time is described by a Helmholtz wave equation in the tetrad as eigenfunction. This is a balance condition in which the Cartan torsion of the space–time is zero, but in which the tetrad and spin connection are non-zero. This balance may be broken by a driving current density produced by the magnetic assembly. The Helmholtz equation becomes an undamped oscillator equation. At resonance the torque on the magnetic assembly may be amplified sufficiently to cause the whole assembly to rotate, as observed experimentally in a repeatable and reproducible manner.  相似文献

A theory of gravitational interaction in classical electrodynamics is developed on the basis of an earlier-proposed minimal relativistic model of gravitation. From the variation principle, a system of gaugeinvariant equations of the interacting electromagnetic and gravitational fields is deduced and their common energy-momentum tensor is constructed. A rigorous solution to the problem of regularizing the field mass of a point charge is given with consideration for the coupling energy of the gravitational interaction. The propagation of electromagnetic waves in the gravitational field is discussed. It is shown that, under the condition of the existing resonant ratio 2: 3 for the periods of Mercury’s orbital revolution and daily rotation, tidal forces cause a regular shift in the planet’s perihelion in an observable forward direction.  相似文献

The Aharonov-Bohm effect was conclusively established by a series of our electron interference experiments, with the help of some advanced techniques, such as coherent field-emission electron beams and microlithography. Using this fundamental principle behind the interaction of an electron wave with electromagnetic fields, new observation techniques were developed to directly observe microscopic objects and quantum phenomena previously unobservable.  相似文献

A rigorous proof is given of the Evans lemma of general relativity and differential geometry. The lemma is the subsidiary proposition leading to the Evans wave equation and proves that the eigenvalues of the d'Alembertian operator, acting on any differential form, are scalar curvatures. The Evans wave equation shows that the eigenvalues of the d'Alembertian operator, acting on any differential form, are eigenvalues of the index-contracted canonical energy momentum tensor T multiplied by the Einstein constant k. The lemma is a rigorous and general result in differential geometry, and the wave equation is a rigorous and general result for all radiated and matter fields in physics. The wave equation reduces to the main equations of physics in the appropriate limits, and unifies the four types of radiated fields thought to exist in nature: gravitational, electromagnetic, weak and strong.  相似文献

The gauge gravitation theory, based on the equivalence principle besides the gauge principle, is formulated in the fibre bundle terms. The correlation between gauge geometry on spinor bundles describing Dirac fermion fields and space-time geometry on a tangent bundle is investigated. We show that field functions of fermion fields in presence of different gravitational fields are always written with respect to different reference frames. Therefore, the conventional quantization procedure is applicable to fermion fields only if gravitational field is fixed. Quantum gravitational fields violate the above mentioned correlation between two geometries.  相似文献

In previous work it has been shown that the electromagnetic quantum vacuum, or electromagnetic zero‐point field, makes a contribution to the inertial reaction force on an accelerated object. We show that the result for inertial mass can be extended to passive gravitational mass. As a consequence the weak equivalence principle, which equates inertial to passive gravitational mass, appears to be explainable. This in turn leads to a straightforward derivation of the classical Newtonian gravitational force. We call the inertia and gravitation connection with the vacuum fields the quantum vacuum inertia hypothesis . To date only the electromagnetic field has been considered. It remains to extend the hypothesis to the effects of the vacuum fields of the other interactions. We propose an idealized experiment involving a cavity resonator which, in principle, would test the hypothesis for the simple case in which only electromagnetic interactions are involved. This test also suggests a basis for the free parameter η(ν) which we have previously defined to parametrize the interaction between charge and the electromagnetic zero‐point field contributing to the inertial mass of a particle or object.  相似文献

This paper presents a three-dimensional time-dependent nonlinear theory of helix traveling wave tubes for beamwave interaction. The radio frequency electromagnetic fields are represented as the superposition of azimuthally symmetric waves in a vacuum sheath helix.Coupling impedance is introduced to the electromagnetic field equations’ stimulating sources, which makes the theory easier and more flexible to realize. The space charge fields are calculated by electron beam space-charge waves expressed as the superposition solutions of Helmholtz equations. The focusing forces due to either a solenoidal field or a periodic permanent magnetic field is also included. The dynamical equations of electrons are Lorentz equations associating with electromagnetic fields, focusing fields and space-charge fields. The numerically simulated results of a tube are presented.  相似文献

Knowledge on evolving physical fields is of paramount importance in science, technology, and economics. Dynamical field inference (DFI) addresses the problem of reconstructing a stochastically-driven, dynamically-evolving field from finite data. It relies on information field theory (IFT), the information theory for fields. Here, the relations of DFI, IFT, and the recently developed supersymmetric theory of stochastics (STS) are established in a pedagogical discussion. In IFT, field expectation values can be calculated from the partition function of the full space-time inference problem. The partition function of the inference problem invokes a functional Dirac function to guarantee the dynamics, as well as a field-dependent functional determinant, to establish proper normalization, both impeding the necessary evaluation of the path integral over all field configurations. STS replaces these problematic expressions via the introduction of fermionic ghost and bosonic Lagrange fields, respectively. The action of these fields has a supersymmetry, which means there exists an exchange operation between bosons and fermions that leaves the system invariant. In contrast to this, measurements of the dynamical fields do not adhere to this supersymmetry. The supersymmetry can also be broken spontaneously, in which case the system evolves chaotically. This affects the predictability of the system and thereby makes DFI more challenging. We investigate the interplay of measurement constraints with the non-linear chaotic dynamics of a simplified, illustrative system with the help of Feynman diagrams and show that the Fermionic corrections are essential to obtain the correct posterior statistics over system trajectories.  相似文献

The effects of self fields on gain for a free‐electron lasers (FELs) with electromagnetic‐wave wiggler and an axial guide magnetic field is presented. The relativistic equation of motion for a single electron for all relevant fields, including wiggler, self‐fields and axial guide magnetic field has been solved. Two classes of possible single‐particle trajectories in this configuration are found. Result of the numerical calculation shown that the relativistic part of group I (group II) orbits decreases (increases) monotonically with the axial field. The gain equations for the FEL configuration by adding the effect of self‐fields have been derived. The numerical calculation has been employed to analysis the gain induced by the effects of the self‐fields. It is shown that, for group I orbits the gain decreases in the presence of self‐fields and the gain decrement increases with increasing axial guide magnetic field, while for group II orbits the self‐fields enhances the gain. The gain decrement and enhancement are due to diamagnetic and paramagnetic effects of the self‐magnetic field, respectively. The comparison of the gain for electromagnetic‐wave wiggler with the gain in helical wiggler has been done (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献

By generalizing a model previously proposed, a classical nonrelativistic U(1)×U(1) gauge field model for the electromagnetic interaction of composite particles in (2+1) dimensions is constructed. The model contains a Chern–Simons U(1) field and the electromagnetic U(1) field, and it describes both a composite boson system or a composite fermion one. The second case is considered explicitly. The model includes a topological mass term for the electromagnetic field and interaction terms between the gauge fields. By following the Dirac Hamiltonian formalism for constrained systems, the canonical quantization for the model is realized. By developing the path integral quantization method through the Faddeev–Senjanovic algorithm, the Feynman rules of the model are established and its diagrammatic structure is discussed. The Becchi–Rouet–Stora–Tyutin formalism is applied to the model. The obtained results are compared with the ones corresponding to the previous model.  相似文献
