The molar heat capacity of Zn2GeO4, a material which exhibits negative thermal expansion below ambient temperatures, has been measured in the temperature range 0.5⩽(T/K)⩽400. At T=298.15 K, the standard molar heat capacity is (131.86 ± 0.26) J · K−1 · mol−1. Thermodynamic functions have been generated from smoothed fits of the experimental results. The standard molar entropy at T=298.15 K is (145.12 ± 0.29) J · K−1 · mol−1. The existence of low-energy modes is supported by the excess heat capacity in Zn2GeO4 compared to the sums of the constituent binary oxides.  相似文献

The molar heat capacities of GeCo2O4 and GeNi2O4, two geometrically frustrated spinels, have been measured in the temperature range from T=(0.5 to 400) K. Anomalies associated with magnetic ordering occur in the heat capacities of both compounds. The transition in GeCo2O4 occurs at T=20.6 K while two peaks are found in the heat capacity of GeNi2O4, both within the narrow temperature range between 11.4<(T/K)<12.2. Thermodynamic functions have been generated from smoothed fits of the experimental results. At T=298.15 K the standard molar heat capacities are (143.44 ± 0.14) J · K−1 · mol−1 for GeCo2O4 and (130.76 ± 0.13) J · K−1 · mol−1 for GeNi2O4. The standard molar entropies at T=298.15 K for GeCo2O4 and GeNi2O4 are (149.20 ± 0.60) J · K−1 · mol−1 and (131.80 ± 0.53) J · K−1 · mol−1 respectively. Above 100 K, the heat capacity of the cobalt compound is significantly higher than that of the nickel compound. The excess heat capacity can be reasonably modeled by the assumption of a Schottky contribution arising from the thermal excitation of electronic states associated with the CO2+ ion in a cubic crystal field. The splittings obtained, 230 cm−1 for the four-fold-degenerate first excited state and 610 cm−1 for the six-fold degenerate second excited state, are significantly lower than those observed in pure CoO.  相似文献

Low-temperature heat capacities of pyrimethanil laurate (C24H37N3O2) were precisely measured with an automated adiabatic calorimeter over the temperature range between T = 78 K and T = 340 K. The sample was observed to melt at (321.52 ± 0.04) K. The molar enthalpy and entropy of fusion as well as the chemical purity of the compound were determined to be (67244 ± 11) J · mol−1, (209.28 ± 0.02) J · mol−1 · K−1, (0.9943 ± 0.0004) mass fraction, respectively. The extrapolated melting temperature for the absolutely pure compound obtained from fractional melting experiments was (322.264 ± 0.006) K.  相似文献

The complex cis-Pt(Ph3Ge)2(PMe2Ph)2 underwent smooth isomerization to give the trans-isomer at room temperature via an associative five-coordinated intermediate. Thermodynamic parameters and activation energy for the cis to trans isomerization were obtained, ΔH# = 105 kJ mol−1, ΔS# = 12.5 J mol−1 K−1, and Ea = 107 kJ mol−1, respectively. Heating of trans-Pt(Ph3Ge)2(PMe2Ph)2 at 50 °C for 36 days produced trans-PtPh(Ph3Ge)(PMe2Ph)2 followed by the formation of trans-PtPh2(PMe2Ph)2, Pt(PMe2Ph)4, and Ph4Ge finally via elimination of the phenyl group from Ph3Ge ligand with liberation of the Ph2Ge unit and subsequent reductive elimination of the remaining Ph3Ge ligand at 80 °C for 1 month.  相似文献

The pyrolysis of polyolefin wastes is one of the possible ways to obtain chemical feedstocks. In this work, the thermal degradation of low density polyethylene, (LDPE), which is a major product within plastics, was investigated in a semi-batch reactor system. First-order rate kinetics approach was chosen and reaction rate coefficients, k, and some thermodynamic quantities determined such as activation energy, reaction enthalpy, free activation enthalpy, and entropy of degradation of LDPE for different air flow rates. We found that the maximum value of some thermodynamic quantities, such as reaction rate coefficient is 0.0243 min−1 at 600 mL min−1 air flow rate and the free activation enthalpy (ΔG) is 148.66 kJ mol−1 at 450 mL min−1 air flow rate and the reaction enthalpy (ΔH) is 57.65 J mol−1 at 623 K temperature conditions. Moreover, we found that the oxidative degradation of LDPE is not spontaneous and has lower energy necessary (for degradation) than non-oxidative degradation processes.  相似文献

A visible spectrophotometric method has been developed for the reaction kinetics of o-phenylenediamine in the presence of gold (III). The method is based on the measurement of the absorbance of the reaction o-phenylenediamine and gold (III). Optimum conditions for the reaction were established as pH 6 at λ = 466 nm.When the reaction kinetic of o-phenylenediamine by gold (III) was investigated, it was observed that the following rate formula was found as ln (A/A0) = kt, according to absorbance measurements. The activation energy Ea and Arrhenius constant A were calculated from the Arrhenius equation as 1.009 kJ · mol−1 and 3.46 · 10−2 s−1, respectively. Other activation thermodynamic parameters, entropy, ΔS (J · mol−1 · K−1), enthalpy, ΔH (kJ · mol−1), Gibbs free energy, ΔG (kJ · mol−1) and equilibrium constant, Ke were calculated at T = (283.2, 303.2, 323.2, and 343.2) K. The study was exothermic due to the decrease of entropy and was a non-spontaneous process during activation.  相似文献

A calorimetric and thermodynamic investigation of two alkali-metal uranyl molybdates with general composition A2[(UO2)2(MoO4)O2], where A = K and Rb, was performed. Both phases were synthesized by solid-state sintering of a mixture of potassium or rubidium nitrate, molybdenum (VI) oxide and gamma-uranium (VI) oxide at high temperatures. The synthetic products were characterised by X-ray powder diffraction and X-ray fluorescence methods. The enthalpy of formation of K2[(UO2)2(MoO4)O2] was determined using HF-solution calorimetry giving ΔfH° (T = 298 K, K2[(UO2)2(MoO4)O2], cr) = −(4018 ± 8) kJ · mol−1. The low-temperature heat capacity, Ср°, was measured using adiabatic calorimetry from T = (7 to 335) K for K2[(UO2)2(MoO4)O2] and from T = (7 to 326) K for Rb2[(UO2)2(MoO4)O2]. Using these Ср° values, the third law entropy at T = 298.15 K, S°, is calculated as (374 ± 1) J · K−1 · mol−1 for K2[(UO2)2(MoO4)O2] and (390 ± 1) J · K−1 · mol−1 for Rb2[(UO2)2(MoO4)O2]. These new experimental results, together with literature data, are used to calculate the Gibbs energy of formation, ΔfG°, for both phases giving: ΔfG° (T = 298 K, K2[(UO2)2(MoO4)O2], cr) = (−3747 ± 8) kJ · mol−1 and ΔfG° (T = 298 K, Rb2[(UO2)2(MoO4)], cr) = −3736 ± 5 kJ · mol−1. Smoothed Ср°(Т) values between 0 K and 320 K are presented, along with values for S° and the functions [H°(T)  H°(0)] and [G°(T)  H°(0)], for both phases. The stability behaviour of various solid phases and solution complexes in the (K2MoO4 + UO3 + H2O) system with and without CO2 at T = 298 K was investigated by thermodynamic model calculations using the Gibbs energy minimisation approach.  相似文献

The thermal behavior of 4-amino-1,2,4-triazol-5-one (ATO) was studied under non-isothermal condition by DSC method in a sealed cell of stainless steel. The melting enthalpy and melting entropy of ATO are 21.34 ± 0.49 kJ mol−1 and 46.54 ± 0.30 J mol−1 K−1, respectively. The kinetic parameters were obtained from the analysis of DSC curves by Kissinger method, Ozawa method, the differential method and the integral method. The main exothermic decomposition reaction mechanism of ATO is classified as nucleation and growth, and the kinetic parameters of the reaction are Ea = 119.50 kJ mol−1 and A = 109.03 s−1. The gas products and condensed phase products of the thermal decomposition of ATO were studied on two simultaneous devices of the fast thermolysis reaction cell (gas reaction cell) in situ in conjunction with rapid scan transform infrared spectroscopy (RSFT-IR) and the solid reaction cell in situ. The heat of formation (HOF) for ATO was evaluated by G3 theory. The detonation velocity (D) and detonation pressure (P) were estimated by using the well-known Kamlet–Jacobs equation, based on the theoretical HOF and the determined crystal density.  相似文献

Low-temperature heat capacities of the 9-fluorenemethanol (C14H12O) have been precisely measured with a small sample automatic adiabatic calorimeter over the temperature range between T=78 K and T=390 K. The solid–liquid phase transition of the compound has been observed to be Tfus=(376.567±0.012) K from the heat-capacity measurements. The molar enthalpy and entropy of the melting of the substance were determined to be ΔfusHm=(26.273±0.013) kJ · mol−1 and ΔfusSm=(69.770±0.035) J · K−1 · mol−1. The experimental values of molar heat capacities in solid and liquid regions have been fitted to two polynomial equations by the least squares method. The constant-volume energy and standard molar enthalpy of combustion of the compound have been determined, ΔcU(C14H12O, s)=−(7125.56 ± 4.62) kJ · mol−1 and ΔcHm(C14H12O, s)=−(7131.76 ± 4.62) kJ · mol−1, by means of a homemade precision oxygen-bomb combustion calorimeter at T=(298.15±0.001) K. The standard molar enthalpy of formation of the compound has been derived, ΔfHm(C14H12O,s)=−(92.36 ± 0.97) kJ · mol−1, from the standard molar enthalpy of combustion of the compound in combination with other auxiliary thermodynamic quantities through a Hess thermochemical cycle.  相似文献

Standard values of Gibbs free energy, entropy, and enthalpy of Na2Ti6O13 and Na2Ti3O7 were determined by evaluating emf-measurements of thermodynamically defined solid state electrochemical cells based on a Na–β″-alumina electrolyte. The central part of the anodic half cell consisted of Na2CO3, while two appropriate coexisting phases of the ternary system Na–Ti–O are used as cathodic materials. The cell was placed in an atmosphere containing CO2 and O2. By combining the results of emf-measurements in the temperature range of 573⩽T/K⩽1023 and of adiabatic calorimetric measurements of the heat capacities in the low-temperature region 15⩽T/K⩽300, the thermodynamic data were determined for a wide temperature range of 15⩽T/K⩽1100. The standard molar enthalpy of formation and standard molar entropy at T=298.15 K as determined by emf-measurements are ΔfHm0=(−6277.9±6.5) kJ · mol−1 and Sm0=(404.6±5.3) J · mol−1 · K−1 for Na2Ti6O13 and ΔfHm0=(−3459.2±3.8) kJ · mol−1 and Sm0=(227.8±3.7) J · mol−1 · K−1 for Na2Ti3O7. The standard molar entropy at T=298.15 K obtained from low-temperature calorimetry is Sm0=399.7 J · mol−1 · K−1 and Sm0=229.4 J · mol−1 · K−1 for Na2Ti6O13 and Na2Ti3O7, respectively. The phase widths with respect to Na2O content were studied by using a Na2O-titration technique.  相似文献

Low-temperature calorimetric measurements have been performed on DyBr3(s) in the temperature range (5.5 to 420 K ) and on DyI3(s) from T=4 K to T=420 K. The data reveal enhanced heat capacities below T=10 K, consisting of a magnetic and an electronic contribution. From the experimental data on DyBr3(s) a C0p,m (298.15 K) of (102.2±0.2) J·K−1·mol−1 and a value for {S0m (298.15 K)  S0m (5.5 K)} of (205.5±0.5) J·K−1·mol−1, have been obtained. For DyI3(s), {S0m (298.15 K)  S0m (4 K)} and C0p,m (298.15 K) have been determined as (226.9±0.5) J·K−1·mol−1 and (103.4±0.2) J·K−1·mol−1, respectively. The values for {S0m (5.5 K)  S0m (0)} for DyBr3(s) and {S0m (4 K)  S0m (0)} for DyI3(s) have been calculated, giving S0m (298.15 K)=(212.3±0.9) J·K−1·mol−1 in case of DyBr3(s) and S0m (298.15 K) =(233.1±0.7) J·K−1·mol−1 for DyI3(s). The high-temperature enthalpy increment has been measured for DyBr3(s) in the temperature range (525 to 799 K) and for DyI3(s) in the temperature range (525 to 627 K). From the results obtained and enthalpies of formation from the literature, thermodynamic functions for DyBr3(s) and DyI3(s) have been calculated from T→0 to their melting temperatures at 1151.0 K and 1251.5 K, respectively.  相似文献

Electrochemical lithium intercalation within graphite from 1 mol dm 3 solution of LiClO4 in propylene carbonate (PC) was investigated at 25 and − 15 °C. Lithium ions were intercalated into and de-intercalated from graphite reversibly at − 15 °C despite the use of pure PC as the solvent. However, ceaseless solvent decomposition and intense exfoliation of graphene layers occurred at 25 °C. The results of the Raman spectroscopic analysis indicated that the interaction between PC molecules and lithium ions became weaker at − 15 °C by chemical exchange effects, which suggested that the thermodynamic stability of the solvated lithium ions was an important factor that determined the formation of a solid electrolyte interface (SEI) in PC-based solutions. Charge–discharge analysis revealed that the nature of the SEI formed at − 15 °C in 1 mol dm 3 of LiClO4 in PC was significantly different from that formed at 25 °C in 1 mol dm 3 of LiClO4 in PC containing vinylene carbonate, 3.27 mol kg 1 of LiClO4 in PC, and 1 mol dm 3 of LiClO4 in ethylene carbonate.  相似文献

Batch-mode pyrolysis of 200.0 g samples of polymers was studied at low temperature. The cracking reaction was carried out in a stainless-steel autoclave with reaction temperatures of 360, 380, 400 and 420 °C, initial pressure of 6.325 kPa (absolute pressure) and reaction times of 0–240 min. Based on the experimental results, a four-lump kinetic model has been developed to describe the production distribution of the light fractions, middle distillates and heavy fraction. This model reasonably fitted the results in each reaction of operation conditions. It was also found that the pyrolysis kinetics of separated plastic, mixed plastic and mixed plastic containing additives can be described by the same kinetic model. The plastic additives have not had a great influence on the product distribution and kinetics of the mixed plastic pyrolysis. Finally, the optimum conditions of low-temperature conversion of plastic mixtures to value-added products were established. The formation of heavy fractions from HDPE was as high as 70 wt% at 380 °C at a reaction time of 250 min. During the thermal degradation of plastic mixtures, the heavy fractions yielded up 50 wt% for 30 min reaction time at 400 °C. The total activation energies for the conversion of HDPE and the plastic mixtures were estimated to be 217.66 kJ mol−1 and 178.49 kJ mol−1, respectively.  相似文献

The effect of cationic micelles of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) on the interaction of dipeptide glycyl-tyrosine (Gly-Tyr) with ninhydrin under varying conditions has been studied spectrophotometrically at 70 °C and pH 5.0. The reaction followed first- and fractional-order kinetics with respect to [Gly-Tyr] and [ninhydrin], respectively. Increase in total concentration of CTAB from 0 to 70 × 10−3 mol dm−3 resulted in an increase in the pseudo-first-order rate constant (kψ) by a factor of ca. 3. Quantitative kinetic analysis of kψ  [CTAB] data was performed on the basis of pseudo-phase model of the micelles (proposed by Menger and Portnoy and developed by Bunton) and Piszkiewicz model. A possible mechanism has been proposed and the kinetic data have been used to evaluate the micellar binding constants KS (268 mol−1 dm3 for Gly-Tyr) and KN (64 mol−1 dm3 for ninhydrin).  相似文献

This paper reports the pH values of five NaCl-free buffer solutions and 11 buffer compositions containing NaCl at I = 0.16 mol · kg−1. Conventional paH values are reported for 16 buffer solutions with and without NaCl salt. The operational pH values have been calculated for five buffer solutions and are recommended as pH standards at T = (298.15 and 310.15) K after correcting the liquid junction potentials. For buffer solutions with the composition m1 = 0.04 mol · kg−1, m2 = 0.08 mol · kg−1, m3 = 0.08 mol · kg−1 at I = 0.16 mol · kg−1, the pH at 310.15 K is 7.269, which is close to 7.407, the pH of blood serum. It is recommended as a pH standard for biological specimens.  相似文献

Heat capacities of 2,4-dichlorobenzaldehyde have been measured with a high-precision automatic adiabatic calorimeter over the temperature range from (79 to 371) K. The melting temperature, molar enthalpy, and entropy of fusion were determined by the heat capacity measurements to be (347.24 ± 0.13) K, (20468 ± 19) J · mol−1, and (58.94 ± 0.04) J · K−1 · mol−1, respectively. The melting temperatures for the sample and the absolutely pure compound have been obtained from fractional melting experiments to be (347.230 and 347.619) K, respectively, and the chemical purity of the sample was calculated to be 0.9921 mol fraction according to the Van't Hoff equation. Moreover, the solid-to-liquid phase transition of the substance was further investigated by using DSC technique. The results obtained from the heat capacity measurements were in agreement with those from the DSC analysis.  相似文献

Isothermal solubility of 2-(3,4-Dimethoxyphenyl)-5,6,7,8-tetramethoxychromen-4-one (nobiletin) in supercritical carbon dioxide at temperatures of (313, 323 and 333) K and pressures from (18 to 31) MPa was measured using an analytic-recirculation methodology, with direct determination of the molar composition of the carbon dioxide-rich phase by using high performance liquid chromatography. Results indicated that the range of the measured solubility of nobiletin was from 107 · 10−6 mol · mol−1 at T = 333 K and 18.35 MPa to 182 · 10−6 mol · mol−1 at T = 333 K and 31.40 MPa, with a temperature crossover around 18 MPa. The validation of the experimental solubility data was carried out by using three approaches, namely, estimation of combined expanded uncertainty for each solubility data point from experimental parameters values (⩽77 · 10−6 mol · mol−1); thermodynamic consistency, verified utilizing a test adapted from tools based on Gibbs–Duhem equation and solubility modelling results; and, self-consistency, proved by correlating the solubility data with a semi-empirical model as a function of temperature, pressure and pure CO2 density.  相似文献

Three members of the lead (II) n-alkanoates (from etanoate to n-butanoate) have been synthesized, purified and studied by d.s.c., X-ray diffraction, and FTIR spectroscopy. Lead (II) acetate, propanoate, and butanoate present only a melting transition at T = (452.6, 398.2, and 346.5) K, with ΔfH = (16.0, 13.1, and 15.6) kJ · mol−1, and ΔfS = (35.3, 32.8, and 45.1) J · mol−1 · K−1, respectively. These temperature data correct to a great extent the historical values reported in the literature. These three members readily quench into a glass state. Their corresponding Tg values are (314.4, 289.0, and 274.9) K, respectively, measured by d.s.c. at a heating rate of 5 K · min−1.  相似文献

The reaction of OH with naringenin (4′,5,7-trihydroxyflavanone) in the presence of air induced the formation of the hydroxylation product eriodictyol (3′,4′,5,7-tetrahydroxyflavanone). Its yield was dependent on pH. The initial degradation yield of naringenin was Gi(-Nar)=(2.5±0.2)×10−7 mol dm−3 J−1. For the reaction with OH, a rate constant k (OH+naringenin)=(7.2±0.7)×109 M−1 s−1 was determined. In the presence of N2O and NaN3/N2O, no eriodyctiol was formed. Apigenin (4′,5,7-trihydroxyflavon) was detected as decay product of the naringenin phenoxyl radicals. In Ar-saturated solutions, naringenin exhibited a pronounced radiation resistance, G(-naringenin) ∼0.3×10−7 mol dm−3 J−1.  相似文献

The molar heat capacity Cp,m of 1-cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylic anhydride was measured in the temperature range from T=(80 to 360) K with a small sample automated adiabatic calorimeter. The melting point Tm, the molar enthalpy ΔfusHm and the entropy ΔfusSm of fusion for the compound were determined to be (343.46 ± 0.24) K, (11.88 ± 0.02) kJ · mol−1 and (34.60 ± 0.06) J · K−1 · mol−1, respectively. The thermodynamic functions [H(T)H(298.15)] and [S(T)S(298.15)] were derived in the temperature range from T=(80 to 360) K with temperature interval of 5 K. The mass fraction purity of the sample used in the adiabatic calorimetric study was determined to be 0.9928 by using the fractional melting technique. The thermal stability of the compound was investigated by differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) and thermogravimetric (TG) technique, and the process of the mass-loss of the sample was due to the evaporation, instead of its thermal decomposition.  相似文献
